The mystical connection between north and south, between cold and warm, in the common ancestral plain where the forces gather in honor of the sun.

In compiling a remix 12” for the most recent Homemade Weapons LP - Gravity, we approached 2 titans of underground electronic music who have both been supportive of Homemade Weapons and Samurai Music. Donato Dozzy and Tommy Four Seven have each been utilising our releases in their sets and we have been inspired and grateful for their fearless deployment of drum and bass to their predominately Techno audiences.

No stylistic directive or requests were given. We trusted these two gifted artists to interpret the music in their own unique fashion, but in all honesty expected remixes around the techno tempo. What we received back are 2 landmark drum and bass versions that re-define the nexus between Drum and Bass and Techno.

Samurai Music has worked for many years in both Drum and Bass and Techno and constantly explored the middle ground between the two. Many Drum and Bass producers have been releasing their version of this cross over but producers from the Techno sphere coming at Drum and Bass have been fewer and less successful.

Donato’s remix is a poignant reduction that strips Svalsat to a potent shuddering core, splashing grey swatches onto a constant rhythmic build. The maestro’s power of subtle, hypnotic transformation applied to the 170 tempo sculpts the rhythm to searing perfection.

Tommy Four Seven reforms Red Tide into a grinding undulation, a thrusting and propulsive menace with titanium strength breakbeats bulging at the edges of it’s construction.

Petra Beat Records is back with a new EP produced by the Italian talent "Tommaso Dibello'.

The Original is followed by Alexkid and Carlos Sanchez's individual reinterpretations.
Although very different, both remixes are finely crafted for the dancefloor, while still maintaining hints of the track's original mood.

Being our long-time favorites, we are happy to have Alexkid and Carlos Sanchez rounding up the concept of this collaborative release.

Matthew Herbert makes his debut on Ben Freeney's Foom label with "The Recording"-an EP written, produced and recorded in one week in Berlin in front of (and with the participation of) a live audience.

Opener "Day Three" is one of Matthew Herbert's most exuberant dancefloor tracks in a while, its rhythms awash with mischief and urgency. "Day Five" is all intricate, shuffling high-end, booming toms, reverb and piano, while the throbs, murmurs and restless percussion of "Day Seven" bring the EP to a close.

Created from start to finish during a week-long residency at the Tischlerei Deutsch Oper, all sounds used were recorded during the course of the residency.'

The Aimed trio consists of Ukrainian duo Orbit & Belogurov, who have gained a solid reputation thanks to releases on Adult Only Records, Drumma, Cyclic, Arupa Music, and Slowdance, and Cheise, who has dropped tracks on OGE, Crocus, Kanja Records, Kina Music, and System 108, among others.

Berlin based producer Zigan Aldi has always been open for different cultural influences in his music. An openess that might go back to his own background since Zigan had been brought up in the eastern part of Turkey, before he moved to Germany when he was 14. Apart from working in various jobs it was always the music that kept him going and let him experience his true passion. After releasing music on Bedouin's label trueColors or 3000 Grad it was about time his diverse music finds another home on Underyourskin Records. Therefore Zigan delivers five exclusive tracks that depict his approach to electronic music with a mostly downtempo vibe. 'Luton', 'Seems To Be' and 'Olin' follow the path of the label's as well as Zigan's philosophy a slightly oriental influence that meets darker multi-layered synth chords to create significant atmospheres that can work at any time at the club. 'Miracle' featuring SANDECK is just what the track title suggest: a musical miracle. As the track slowly enfolds its groove to the audience, it is the guitar riffs and the vocals that sum up magic of this track at this very intimate moment.

GENESIS begins its journey with an exclusive vinyl release that consist of 2 original tracks from Nima Gorji & Audiotheque.

Memory Disks. Volume One. Chevron. The Blackpool born sorcerer is conjuring up spellbinding tracks that boil and bubble between supernatural rave, occult acid and inverted techno. Dripping from speakers, a concoction of swirling chords simmer as a spiced shower of razor edged rhythms are poured into the pot. Shadowy notes ghost like phantoms behind crunching beats, beastly bars growl as keys slide and slither between nine short, medium and long excursions into the glow-stick festooned musical mind of Jonathan Valentine. Nestled amongst the bewitching synthesizer psychedelia, peering from behind the purple forests and white dwarf frogs, are less frenetic works, a soft balance to the frenzied chicanery and chrome plated magic. Simply put, a weird and wonderful EP where the only stable point, the only spot of secured safety, is the needle on the record.

10" Picture Disc

Purveyor of chrome-plated cosmic funk and Berlin-resident Heartthrob returns on his newly minted ISNINST imprint to deliver three futuristic jams worthy of only the sleaziest of intergalactic parties. 'Discount Dancer' sets the tone, marrying the infectious energy of classic Roland grooves and maxed-out acid funk to compelling effect, cruising along under a relentless cowbell that acts as a rallying cry for the sordid revellers of his dreams. On the flip, 'Lets Talk About Reading' draws upon that prior energy and focuses it into a jacking homage to the fallen star of Paris Is Burning, Venus Xtravaganza, awash with crackling atmospheres and gauzy pads that serve as a stark juxtaposition to the militant drums and contagious bass line that underpin them. Finally, a bonus for digital heads as live-take 'St8-2-Tape' shows him in full on analogue freak-out mode, fusing claustrophobic lo-fi drums with sultry stabs and classic Rhodes chords to create a timeless jam worthy of any format, past or present. Available as a 10 Picture disc and digitally

Cologne's well-liked party imprint "Feines Tier" kicks off its in-house label with JOHANNES KLINGEBIEL's "Latewood EP". Johannes provides four Original tracks with a capital O! The flipside delivers the trippy "Cyprian", revealing that piano sampling still can feel fresh and inventive, and "Trancy Fancy", where nomen est omen. Played & supported by Laurent Garnier, Peter Kruder, Tiga, DJ T, Kiki, Stephan Bodzin, Marcus Worgull, Miyagi, Douglas Greed, Pawas, Smash TV, Moonbootica, Andre Crom, Animal Trainer, Krink, Wankelmut, Copy Paste Soul, COEO, Jad & The Ladyboy, Laut & Luise, Franca, Holger Hecler, Luis Rosenberg, Gottlieb Scheppert and many more

Token readies the third instalment of the Ø Phase Versions series.

Over the years, Ashley Burchett's work as Ø Phase has become a benchmark for modern Techno production and the British producer has long since been a mainstay of the genre.

It's time to the portuguese Luhk who has already released a successful Ep on the great label Scenario by Sebo K, incl. a superb remix by Dj Honesty.

This Like A Prayer edit has been a secret weapon in Mike's DJ sets for almost 3 years, and has been one of his most requested tracks. The fact that it has amassed over 15,000 downloads on SoundCloud before being taken down by Madonna’s people has only added to the mystique of this particular rework. The b-side is a polar opposite, yet equally as effective, rework of krautrock legend Faust. Here, Mike takes a meandering kraut masterpiece, and in a more classic edit style, turns it into an 11 minute dancefloor journey with bigger drums, faster BPMs and buildups/breakdowns. Where the Madonna edit is sparse and bare, the Faust edit is lush and ecstatic.
