Definition presents his own creations once again to Definition:music in the form of the stunning 6 track - Progession LP . Living up to his reputation, the tracks are as engaging as they are addictive and always pushing the envelopes.
Opening the show on a warm note, Come Down feat Liu Bei delicately teases us as it blooms into a massive blend of smooth synths and titillating percussion. Midway through weíre treated to an elegantly coordinated break-beat, adding a special touch and unfolding a new dimension to the track.
The title track is up now. Definition projects an electric landscape in which we ride through the night on a steel horse made of pure
electricity toward the peak-time rush and unearth ëProgressioní. A solid track throughout, from the first deliberate kick, to the delicate break and beyond.
Janus brings thick and gritty bass stabs to a driving tech house
groove, creating a blend of deep, dark realms with a hot and steamy pressure. Easing into warmer waters,
2Caught Out is vocally supported or rather enriched through the voice of Peter Joseph. A smooth and cuddly but packing groove that pushes straight into your brain never to release you after listening to it for the first time. This track produces happiness, peace and a good dose of bliss my friends!
Without Any Doubt slowly rises from nothing and transforms itself into a beast of beautiful orchestra of chords and harps.
Finally, one last vocal track to bring closure to the LP. This Mystery feat. Jinadu is a power ballad that delivers on all fronts and spreads a warm glow with a solid groove.

For the 108th installment in the ever expanding planet rhythm catalog, a various artists effort has been planned with some of the label's usuals and some exciting names we have had our eye on for a while now. For the A-side, ARTS label owner Emmanual brings his much appreciated E100 to vinyl. Previously released digitally through his own imprint, this cut has been sought after for a while now. Second up is Eindhoven native Albert Van Abbe. Albert has been making a lot of waves for a long time now and we're very glad to welcome him to the PRRUK family. More to Ignore 04 is a funked out piece of machine music that will definitely turn some heads. The B side is opening with Elyas' The Hangman. The mysteryman that gained some infamy through his releases on Modularz and Olympian delivers a cutting edge Techno work-out. Closing down this VA 12'' is Mendy. Returning to PRRUK for the 2nd time, Mendy has come up with ''Elevation'' which is a chordy techno theme for peak hours.

Following a slew of acclaimed remixes for the likes of Andhim, Sailor & I, DJ Dozia and Sebastian Mullaert and a one-off single with Joran van Pol, Voorn returns with a pair of stunning new tracks for his GREEN imprint. With this release I'm making a bridge between last year and this. Looks Fake Obviously is a dark haunting track with a sweet melody that slowly drags you into the light. Dawn (Green Mix) brings new life to a sound that I was once so familiar with, Detroit techno. Although this mix is more house than techno, it features characteristic melodies of the 90's Detroit sound that I loved when I started to make music around the year 2000. This is only the first of a few Detroit inspired tracks that will surface this year. For me it's like things went full circle, coming back to a sound where chord stabs, pads and warm bass are very present.' - Joris Voorn, Selected feedback: Davide Squillace - LFO rocks, Joris always on the point. Monika Kruse - 2 wonderful new tracks Joris! Tiefschwarz - 2 really beautiful tracks here. Thank you for sending. Lee Burridge - A fun release Joris!
Gregor Tresher - Great new music by Joris. I really like LFO - it ´s so cool when the Kick comes back in after the buildups in the breaks. Great release Joris! Hernan Cattaneo - Very good from Joris again. Both tracks. Stephan Bodzin - Original. Just brilliant! Thank you Joris, full support from my side .Christian Smith - Now these are very nice. Full support for Joris! Nick Warren - Superb stuff from Joris, both are ace! Noir - Looks Fake Obviously is a DOPE track! Gerd - Nice deep tunes from Joris. Well done!
ANNA - Amazing as always from Joris. Huxley - Both of these are sick. Dawn has classic written all over it!!! Karotte - Dawn is a bomb. Love it, but Looks Fake is also cool. Super. thanks.
Guy J - Great new tracks from Joris!! Thank you for sending.
Dosem - Both tracks are very good!
Technasia - Looks Fake Obviously is the star for me. Nice one!
Gabriel Ananda - Really nice one :-)..Perfect music for my sets and Soulful Techno. Thank you!
Sharam - Quality stuff! Good track to inject some soulful melody into the floor. This to me is straight up classic house come full circle more than Detroit Techno. Reminds me of Dancin' by Erick 'More' Morrillo (Little More Dub).
Kölsch - Shut up and take my money!!
Kiki - I can truly see the dawn and the sun rise, while listening to it...

Last year Julien 'Redeyes' Salvi showed off his versatility on his Blueprints EP. He now takes it one step further with the release of 'Broken Soul', his first full length project for The North Quarter. Through twelve sincere tracks, the Toulouse-based artist showcases an action packed storyline co-starring some of the most sought-after vocalists in the game. Not only do Manchester legends DRS and Tyler Daley make appearances, but there are also features by fresh NQ signee Abnormal Sleepz, HMD, KinKai and Juga-Naut as well as NY underground Hip Hop phenomenon Milano Constantine. Rap, Soul and dusty Jazz flavour is woven through diverse tracks in both tempo and intensity. The Redeyes signature shines bright however, effortlessly capturing current aesthetics and eclecticism. This album shows a veteran artist comfortable in his craft and is not just at home on Lenzman's imprint, it possibly signifies the quintessence of The North Quarter philosophy

It is not a secret anymore that Manchester has been a Deephouse capital city since quite a while. The Meandyou. party series is the main spot here with resident DJs Juniper & Arnaldo amongst others spinning alongside their favourite Acts like Lowtec (whose track on Smallville 14 was already a homage called meandyou.dub), Jus-Ed, Dj Qu, Kassem Mosse, Move D and the Smallville Posse. For our catalogue number 30, Juniper & Arnaldo are delivering four house tracks from outta space, that fit perfectly into the smallville vein. The global village of sweet house music is rising..

Lost Lake has been a long-time contributor to the Make Mistakes catalog, but for the first time, he steps from the shadows and stars in his own EP of groovin', good time lovin' acid house jams. Get up in here.
Lost Lake's two originals on this EP, Sea Spine, and Jar Clock, are a couple of classic acid house jams with a modern flare, making them must have for the future retro dance floors of today. When you're living in the future, you want the music to match your cyberpunk bacchanalia of a life, and Lost Lake is the soundtrack for those nights of sweaty abandon.
Jr Gacworth's dubby techno remix of Sea Spine brings a stripped down, slow rolling groove to the original. Playful, and bouncy, pull this one out when it's time to bring a tail shake and a smile to the party. And finally, Stuck at Sea's remix of Dose Lobby is a slow building hypno-jam, for psychedelic dance floors in outer space. A relentless climb up an acid mountain, built for heady afterhours parties in the upper atmosphere.
Another well rounded weapon for the record bag from Make Mistakes. Lost Lake delivers one of our most diverse vinyl EPs to date. Get these sweet jams in your ears, in your crate, to the party, and shake those hams, yo.

A new era is when a significant event or a discovery or
invention changes the past life and the circumstances of many
or even all people sustainably. It basically involves a positive or
neutral evaluation of this age.
- Thus, the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus in
1492 heralded a new era, the conquest and colonization of
America by Europeans.
- Similarly, the first public steam railway built by George
Stephenson in 1825, marked the beginning of a new era
of mobility.
- Also the theses of Martin Luther at Wittenberg initiated the
era of the Reformation.
- Not to forget the fall of the Iron Curtain, the Berlin Wall in
1989 and the resulting german reunification, thus initiating a
new era of world history

* Adding to an already impressive collection of VA albums, Horizons Music returns for another part of their 'Dream Thief' series.
* Featuring producers both past and present, those who've already released on the bourgeoning imprint and those making their first debut, it's an impressive portfolio of music. Horizons have a reputation for selecting only the most ground-breaking ability and this LP is no exception. They've proved yet again that their A&R skills are second to none, cutting through the more commercial sounds and providing tunes which resound across a huge listenership. They're a label who've been standing at the underground's forefront for quite some time now and if this album's anything to go by, they're looking to make even more of an impact in the not too distant future.
* There's a huge collection of records on this forthcoming LP. Whether it's the gritty sonic of neuro pioneer Amoss on 'Yuzu', or electronic technician Break's offering 'Headway', there's a taste for every palette on the jammed track listing. Chris SU switches up his signature technique on crashing roller 'Where's My Place' and Mikal with the heavyweight sound of 'Beyond'. Particular stand outs on the album include Silent Witness' 'Totem', a rolling number that focuses heavily on percussion and ingenious drum strokes. All eyes have also been on veteran Digital recently, and it's easy to see why throughout 'Spark Cut', a grinding jungle anthem which shows no mercy.
* It's a rattling, tribal drum & bass record which breaks out of any constraints. Showing just how ingenious and unique each artist proves to be throughout the album, it demonstrates Horizons' expert eye for talent.

Oktave Records returns for the third installment from the label, once again featuring owner and proprietor Jeff Derringer at the helm. The 'Factions' EP shows Jeff at his most direct and robust, with three tracks of meticulously constructed techno.
'Factions' starts the EP and goes straight for the heart of the dance floor, with a tunneling groove that lures the listener into hypnosis before a devastating break takes the track to a whole new level of intensity. This one is for the ravers, no doubt.
The flip side starts with 'Penalty Phase', another floor-focused stunner that features Jeff's signature kick drum and drive, coupled with evolving synth arpeggios and melancholy vibes for those early club mornings as the sun comes up. Finally, 'The Second Plane' slows the tempo down a bit and ends the record with a thoughtful broken beat arrangement reminiscent of early Warp.
'Factions' was written during the winter of 2018 and mastered by Tim Xavier at Manmade Mastering.
Pressed on solid orange vinyl.

"Spoilers from the imminent present. Like being trapped within the expectations that society puts on you. Another predictable animal; simple utensil in the hands of those that get ahead of what will befall. The best way to predict the future is to create it. On their way.
After overcoming our species' loss of intuition, after walking in circles, after coming back to learn how to find our bearings. It is time to create your own pathway. Longer, uncertain, sometimes erratic, for sure it will be worth it."
A Prison Of Predictions is the first LP from the Ownlife label (excepting SELD series, focused in pressing back gems from two decades ago) and also by the person behind it. Leiras.
On it, the producer showcases a compendium featuring the characteristic sound of the platform, pushing ahead cyclical techno together with tracks that evoke the persistence of remembrance. Echoing the preterit sound of Sandwell District and renewed sound formulas from almost two decades of UK electronica. Ambient brush strokes outline soundscapes surrounded by analogue sounds that share space with more direct and snappy songs. A scape on the frenetic side of electronica with an IDM-leaning end closes the equation.
Substantiating his versatility as a producer with the label's previous 10 titles and undoubtedly confirmed on this record, Leiras offers a consequent closing for the first stage of Ownlife, which finishes on this point in order to look for new sound structures for the next transmissions.
This LP has been created in Berlin during the last months using mixed recording techniques with the purpose of conceiving a narrative thread that gives coherence to the release; without doubt an inflection point in Leiras' discography

LOYOTO are the East-Berlin born Eva Be and Cle from the western part of the formerly dived city. Both started their DJ and producer career almost at the same time in the heart of the then developing scene, the very center of Berlin, just after the wall came down. Originally rooted in very different styles of music, they encountered for the first time DJing together in 2011, finding common ground in more than just music - a gig, that should lead to more: They decided to combine their talents and knowledge and build a studio together. Here, and during legendary back2back DJ sets, they finally united their different musical backgrounds - dub/reggae and underground house music - and defined their very own sound.

MZR has been developing his skills as a DJ and as a producer for some years, with a few releases on Wall Music and a residency at Berlin's own Suicide Circus. His style is rhythmic, repetitive, minimalistic: stripped down no-nonsense techno, aimed directly at the dancefloor.
The two tracks on the A-side, 'Slope' and 'Soak', are full frontal peak-time techno attacks.
The B side starts with the groovy, reverberated and melancholic Gianna', its ethereal hypnotic voices and introvert ambiance perfect for warm-ups or to calm things down in a middle of a long set. He finishes the E.P. with 'Pattern', a groovy techno spatial trip. Welcome to the family MZR!

We welcome Spanish artist Pascual to the DMT family. We have been fan of his work and of the aesthetic of his label Ex Aequo for quite some time now. In typical DMT-style, he delivers 4 tracks that are rough, raw and mental yet full of minimal and subtle grooves. When he came up with 'Basics', we knew we had to do something together. The rest of the E.P. Is on par with the opening track: stripped down no-nonsense techno, aimed directly at the dancefloor.

Tom Hades, a true belgian techno legend, delivers his debut for OFF Recordings. Coming from a production veteran, the technical quality of these 4 tracks is outstanding - but this 4 tracker delivers not only form, but also function and emotion.Stability is an ultra-functional bomb of a track, guaranteeing absolute dancefloor destruction.Shapes moves towards a more emotional direction, tight drums are complemented by energetic synth stabs, and a euphoric pad progression.Core delivers one more deadly dry peaktime weapon. Finally, Balance is the most cinematic offering, majestic pads and a euphoric bell loop meetin a rather stripped back drum programming, creating the perfect track to close a night with.

Freamon is a denizen of the modern world, allegedly hailing from NY, according to some, not relevant, says he. What matters is the music - finely honed and carefully crafted dancefloor gems, served up with love the way they used to be, the way they ought to be.
The Hot Damn! EP is his second release on the mysterious Turbocapitalism label, after 2016's Black Grid EP. This time, he has decided to shine a spine-tingling light on our souls. He wants you to raise your hands and put them together in an overdose of holy joy on this unashamedly celebratory slab of sweet gospel grooving. Can you feel the spirit One listen to 'No More Crying' will settle any doubts on the subject. It's gospel-funk. Or gospel-not-gospel, which is like a million samples taken from every soul record you never heard, seamlessly stitched together as if created fresh today, with one idea - to meld together into one big explosion of spine-tingling dance floor joy!
The title track takes things down a notch with a heavy kick drum shuffle - stripped back analogue house, making for an intoxicating, dense brew of sounds, feelings and ideas. Fierce, pulsating free jazz sounds, snaking around that deliciously tense, bustling bottom end, creating an infectious groove that is fresh, different and most of all, impossible to resist.
Meanwhile, Madrid's DJF and Damian Schwartz do what they do best: they take that thing straight to the centre of Detroit, let it adjust to the new environment and then freely cruise the boulevards at night.
