Mark Henning once again does the damage with 3 perfectly crafted slices of machine funk as he drops Lithium. Easily one of the most active producers in the scene at the moment, Mark always manages to create wholly unique sounding music infused with his own brand of power.
Title track Lithium gets the EP underway with gently filtered, sequenced tones making their presence felt through swathes of reverb and FX before working in straight up percussive elements. Blue Haze delivers an instantly more looped out, old school Techno feel as yet more direct sequences are met with driving hi hats but overall, given a more delicate touch with smooth, ethereal pads. The wonderfully titled Take The Corvette closes out another storming release from Henning, taking things down a decidedly more House orientated route. Its foreboding bass line generates an ominous atmosphere and yet more subtle use of FX builds the foundations of a truly individual piece.
Henning never ceases to impress with his releases and proves yet again to be one of Soma's standout artists.

Four tracks delivering our approach to this sound but always from different perspectives, which helps us to maintain that fresh energy we need to be able to keep on doing what we do. 005A1 with its funk attitude, powerful chords and stunning vocals creates a proper banger; that one tune we just can't stop shaking our hips and to. 005A2 is such a perfect blend of different feelings: are the strings a bit 80's Is it just a new version of that kind of disco music Instead it's just a mixture of sensations perfectly coexisting, brought together by the Apparel Wax matrix that just makes it a mature interpretation of a big musical influence. 005B1 features a piano loop that is a great tribute to classic house music and keeps on dialoguing with catchy vocals. The track elevates the spirit of the happy tune to a next level, leaving not only a taste of summer but a sense of coolness. 005B2 played after the first three hitting tracks, with its saxophone and synthesizers is a percussive, atmospheric and fulfilling way to end the record's narrative in perfect fashion; a record that displays an uncanny array of house/disco music performances. This is the third album of Book Of Air, a series created by the granvat platform and curated by the composers and brothers Stijn and Bert Cools.
As in the first Book Of Air album "Fieldtone" and the second "vvolk", the parameters time and sound are again widely present. This time the 3 interwoven bass lines give the deep drive and foundation of the sound, completed with a layer of acoustic instruments and sparkling chords on top. "Se (In) De Bos" is inspired by the fluctuation objectivity of our daily observations.

perspective. Here he returns with another hot new EP that also features a vinyl re-release of 'Upon Burning Skies',
which proved to be something of a hit on dancefloors across the world this summer gone. Buyers of a digital
persuasion will also be treated to a Dan Drastic remix of Sable Sheep & Fosky's 'Barricades Of Nowhere.'
Despite being on a constant and busy tour of top clubs and festivals across Europe, German Sable Sheep has still
managed to come up with the goods. On 'Cargo Room', a jostling, loopy bit of slinky tech house with warm paddy
kick drums and a sensually teasing vocal snippet that stretches between the beats. The poly-rhythmic effect is
hugely infectious before 'The Forgotten Ones' goes for a much creepier, weirder vibe. This one is all suggestive and
shadowy, with occult synth dots and alien life forms all existing above a beautifully elastic bassline. It breaks and
kicks again at various points and it's sure to have attentive dancefloors in raptures, locked on to every rotation.
'Barricades Of Nowhere' is a collab with rising Argentinian Fosky, who has released on Crosstown and Desolat
before now. This one spits out metal snares, has an urgent alarm-like hook and picks up the pace with its bouncy
techno leaning beats and big hi hat ringlets. Physical but warm and organic it's perfect dancing music before the re-
release of last track 'Upon Burning Skies' - the hard hitting anthem complete with dark but soulful African
murmurings that has made Sable Sheep such a recognised producer the world over.
Closing out another EP that exactly hits the mark and displays Sable Sheep's usual sense of charismatic sampling,
long time label stalwart Dan Drastic re-imagines 'Barricades Of Nowhere' as a spangled, synthetic bit of supple

A fluid dream logic runs deep in William Fowler Collins' Field Music. The New Mexican composer of dark minimalism has long centered his practices upon the slow burn of the drone through guitar, electronics, etc. That remains the case for Field Music, with Collins extending his strategies through compositional exercises into rhythm and a diverse array of conceptual signposts that push his work along unfixed, sometime oppositional directions. The idea of 'field music' can relate to the archaic use of military drum corps in battle, whose patter Collins has intermingled with the polyrhythms associated with Voodoo ritual. Collins also proposes that the 'field' be defined as the physical self as gleaned from his secular readings of the Bhagavad Gita. The 'field' as the fabric of time and space also becomes a possibility when Collins literally wraps this album in the history of the atomic bomb, as the cover photo portrays the humble ranch where the first nuclear weapon was assembled.

Dutch pioneer MG (aka Gert van Veen) is responsible for a series of huge house classics to ever emerge from the Netherlands: A-men's Pay The Piper, Quazar's Seven Stars, House of Venus' Dish & Tell. The list is long. Under his lesser known moniker Zodiac Trax, Gert produced some of his moodiest material. Released in 1992 in two parts, these beautifully crafted tracks remained fairly unknown up to this day. For this re-issue Frame Of Mind selected the deepest tunes from the obscure series. A previously unreleased track called Planet X is included!

Never one to rest, our pal The Revenge has been busy as always. Amongst the action he's taken the time and a more in yer face' approach to write us his latest EP, a four-tracker of proper club tracks. Every Night' brims with raucous disco energy. The French Filter House' reminiscent gem's strings shimmer and funk horns hit heavy, a jam destined to wear holes in shoes. Grit' attends to the easy-going Disco grooves we love so much from The Revenge, plenty of shake and soul it's overflowing with good-mood energy. B-side opener Never Learn' gives us a glimpse of the darker end of The Revenge's spectrum. Subby toms rumble, tweaked out synths bleep and slide and delayed key stabs shift the party into smoke hazed, underground rave mode. The closing track Krokodille' brings that Bass n Electro gritty booming sound! The acidic lead wraps around sturdy drums. Straight forward with plenty of kick, what an ending to a high quality EP!
