COEO are Toy Tonics' lead artists and they don't joke! Technically perfect on a level that most producers start to get jealous. Musically filled up with so much knowledge about the history of Disco and House that it's no wonder that big names like Kenny Dope, Borrowed Identity and Tensnake are huge fans. And their style... It's a pure hedonistic discoish attitude that combines the funk driven eclecticism of today, the curiosity of young music cats who always want to be ahead and a sense of QUALITY in music that we miss in so many of today's house music productions. In fact it's 2017 and a lot is changing in the House scene. The 'old' melancholic deep house now is quite dead - while most Deep House charts are filled up with sample based Funk House. COEO are regularly on the top of the several Deep House charts, and there is a reason: Their tracks have that kind of new, nasty, sexualised vibe that gets more inspired from the late 1990ies French touch house or early Masters at Work production. From Jazz DJ's and DJ Sets of wildstyle DJ's like Harvey or the Idjut Boys. It's not any more about the old schematic Ketamine Deep House that always sounds the same (and makes your feet fall asleep.) Listen to Flesh World! It's black music basically. It's Booty sound. After his successful 3 track 12" release on PRSPCT XTRM last year we just had to bug this Industrial hardcore master for another release... And boy did he deliver!
6 hardcore masterpieces ranging from full on Industrial hardcore to schranz to more cut up experimental kicks & snares. This release has it all!

Incepted just three years after the beginning of the Kompakt venture in 2001, it's safe to say the Speicher series holds a very special place in both the heart of the label and its audience's. Taking the helm for the 102nd instalment in the catalogue (and the first Speicher to feature 3 tracks) we find an eclectic squad of producers triangulating from all corners of the globe but united by their boundless science of the groove.

Longtime friends turned studio companions, Enzo Elia (of Balearic Gabba Soundsystem fame) and Musumeci join forces for the first time on the unfaltering late night hip-swayer 'Gothic Safari', kicking things off with a relentless deep dancefloor epic à la Âme. The vibe then swerves into further savannah-friendly audio territories with unheard French newcomer La Marine who, like his glorious predecessor Oxia (but is it fate) operates out of the mountain-ringed city of Grenoble, here popping up with an off-axis downtempo electro hybrid of unknown provenance.

Looping the loop with maximal tension and mind-piercing depth,
rising Bolivian duo Animal Print serve up the aptly named
Badalamenti-esque roller 'The Last Night Of Laura Palmer' - a track that won't fail at recalling the 'Twin Peaks' aficionados the bizarro ambiences of Lynch's acclaimed TV show all the while following a rather straightforward, frontally club-ready sense of style, resulting in a fine balance between down-to-earth pragmatism and unbridled reverie.

Tokyo tag-team Kei and Nagi Sugano, aka Dazzle Drums, have been responsible for secret weapons in the bags of some of the finest DJs since their debut in 2005. In addition to supporting Danny Krivit each time he plays in Tokyo, the duo periodically floats him exclusive edits to test out during his expansive sets. Two of these in particular have become regular features on M. K's dance floors, and it is these prime choices that have been selected for the latest release on Most Excellent Unlimited.Brothers Gonna Work It Out" takes the cinematic soul classic and toughens it up with a propulsive drum track and immaculate editing to extend and energize the already powerful tune. Forging a distinctive sound in todays crowded Techno landscape is no easy task. Madrid based Mario Campos aka Kwartz has grown his robust, propulsive sound into one of the most interesting and vital strains of modern Techno. After notable releases for Mord, Warm Up, Pole Recordings, and his own label 'Order & Devotion', we are excited to present a 6 track Kwartz offering for Horo.

Purists will have their desires satiated with the driving, undulating title track and dancefloor favourite 'Altered States Of Consciousness' while the rest of the EP sees Mario take his style into exploration mode. 'Beyond Belief' functions as an emotive centre point to the releases' varied moods, while the off kilter static of 'Over A Sign Recognition' and the writhing bounce of 'Recoil' and 'Frame Dislocation' complete the carefully sculpted form of the release.

'Body Sedation' works in a listening environment as well as it does on an open minded dance floor, and we can confidently say, it's built to last.

Vivus Records, the underground South German label, invites London-based and RLZ Music label boss Rowlanz for an acid-infused journey thourghout some minimal streets.

Having received constant support from the likes of Gescu, Barac or Archie Hamilton, Rowlanz is a name you should keep an eye on in the future and it is fitting that he has decided to collaborate with Melodie, a young Romanian prodigy that has had a quite meteoric rise in the past year.

We kick things off with Laniakea which is full of brisk grooves with just a pinch of an acid feeling to it that will get you moving accordingly. The hi-hats and subtle bassline complete each other to a mesmerising effect and the background sounds give a lovely deepness to the track.

The stunning vocals on 312 act as a reminder that you can always expect a surprise from Rowlanz and he is in full creative mode here. You can almost imagine the radiant energy boost that this track would give to dance floor enthuasiasts after a long night with a dark atmosphere.

Melodie's interpretation of 312 has the Romanian's trademark sound all over it: acid sounds covered with a strong but linear bassline that floats all over the song.

Someone Outside takes us on a journey into space with three pieces of shimmering and emotive techno.

THE ARTIST

CrossNineTroll is a talented Hungarian DJ/producer duo. They formed back in 2011. The two friends are well known artists of the Hungarian electronic dance music scene since the mid of 90's. Their sound is influenced mostly by house and techno, with a modicum of the oldschool sound. Both together and separately have played in most of the local and lot of international clubs and festivals. Their most successful track so far is called Wanna Say' released on BUTCH's label BOUQ. The track was prominent on the label and had lately become the labels 3rd bestseller track of 2013. LOCO DICE played this track for over 12 months. Furthermore, it was played and charted by the likes of DUBFIRE, REBOOT, STEVE LAWLER, etc.. Strong releases followed on VIVa MUSiC Limited, PLANT74, Hi!Fly RECORDS and many others. The CrossNineTroll guys are constantly working hard on new productions in their studio and promising a lot of surprises in the upcoming years. Let's keep our fingers crossed, as they have the talent and deserve it!

We don't really need to explain you how excited we got to get no one else but our long time friend and MOON HARBOUR head honcho MATTHIAS TANZMANN on board, to remix the main track SOMETHING STRONG for us. Taking a look at his ridiculous summer schedule and the massive successful release of his latest EP on NIC FANCIULLIS - SAVED RECORDS imprint called NO SLEEP, we are even more happy that he found the time to deliever us this monster of a remix. By adding a sick funky bassline and and some air cutting sharp hi-hats, he takes the original track to a totally different level. The perfect arrangement and ruthless drive of his interpretation turns every club into a sweatbox. Thank you Matthias!

Mysterious newcomer Banke delivers a profound debut for TOKEN81. The Totem EP's tempered sophistication and clear sense of purpose belies Banke's neophyte status, establishing him instead in the ranks of Token's most experienced artists in terms of skill and ingenuity.Simenon's tense introduction is met with understated, yet unmistakable fragments of Detroit in the form of a hypnotic, high-end glissando, rolling drum work and built-up tasteful stabs. Cheerlead's delicate trill is mimicked and answered in a hypnotic call-and-response over a carefully measured low-end.Totem, the title track, has a traditionalist opening that's purposeful and composed, with Banke patiently building tension through his crafty and artful arrangement. An oddball breakdown of mind-bending synth work places the record firmly in the avant-garde, while its detailed percussion retains dancefloor functionality. Strattera's hyper-focused mid and off-beat brushing hi-hat opens out to become disorienting, multi-layered trip.

Following up our previous Daniel Sanchez release, we are more than proud to have for this one the Impropmtu Remixes EP edition which includes 4 fantastic remixes by Nima Gorji, Martinez, Doubtingthomas and Faster. The first track is Nima's remix from Pearled Into Droplets in which he created an exceptional base with a prominent tech rhythm, in which we can perceive a few percussion layers that work amazingly with the original synths. Those synths create an incredible atmosphere as they softly evolve in a slow progression during the track, creating tension and release, exactly when is needed. The whole minimalistic approach brings a more than suitable vibe that is driven by a rock solid bass line too. The second remix is from Martinez, who also worked over Pearled, but he went through a more experimental and deeper road with an exquisite re-interpretation, in which the articulations created between the several percussive sounds are beautifully placed in such way that, alongside the synth pad in the backend, creates a superb hypnotic vibe and groove. The third remix is from Daniel's track Yi and was charge of Doubtingthomas, who flawlessly captured the primal essence of the original track with a superb twist in the rhythmic side, in which he created an amazing blend between of minimal house and deep, that easily immerses the listener into a powerful trip. This remix also presents several melodic elements working together with the original track sounds, like the strings during the break and synth pads, which adds a beautiful musical and organic feeling to the remix. The last and not least of the remixes is also from Yi, but in charge of the talented producer Faster, who also took as working base the ambiences and textures from the original track to create a subtle and beautiful minimalistic vibe alongside the percussive elements. The most distinctive sound of his remix is the electric synth riff, which adds soft craziness, and lays the ground perfectly for the hypnotic percussions to take place later on the track, which also finishes the remix's groove exquisitely.

It's been 10 years since Efdemin's debut mix-cd "Carry On, Pretend We're Not In The Room" and its single "America". Back in 2008 it ended up on the first place in the Groove chart, but for some reason we never had it remixed. With Efdemin's second mix-cd and the accompanying "Move Your Head" EP now scheduled for mid April, we'd like to announce this 'Minimal Detroit' mix from Terrence Dixon to close things off in style. On the flipside there's a DJ Koze edit of Efdemin's "Acid Bells" classic that was too good not to share.

Induction's Remix EP can be considered as a true Ravage family affair. The EP starts and ends with takes on Theological Explanation; Tadeo delivers an hypnotic version with a lot of drive, and - it may sound counterintuitive - Zadig dives into the deep as well, with an outstanding, euphoric and ethereal mix. Both tracks turn out to be quite true-to-self reworks of the offbeat original. On A2, Birth of Frequency altered the ambient intro Epitrachelion into a soft, melodic, functional electro track that oozes refinement and a bit nostalgic comfort.

The B-side starts with As Patria's signature sound, giving a new interpretation to a previously unreleased production called Oxygen Swamp. Melancholic hisses, softly rattling hats and light synth-work all contribute to the overall feeling of their remix. The same goes for Samuli Kemppi, who took on Back in my Amnesia, giving it the ghetto-house-treatment, indulged with rave influences.

Justin K Broadrick puts his club foot forward for Downwards on four trampling techno bombs gathered under the Exit Stance EP. With no prizes for guessing what the title is about, the Godflesh/Jesu/Final bloke further girds us against broken Britain's grim future following his Suicide Estate 2LP for Hospital Productions.
This is some of Broadrick's most direct, primitive, and ruggedly impactful gear, forged in the belly of the black country with charred traces of late '90s Brummie techno edged by sparingly used daubs of patented, pollutant synths and plasmic dubbing.
A-side; he offloads the rollicking hydraulics of Exit Stance, a rallying charge of tribal bass drums and cranky percussion from the Female/Regis skool, whilst the droning, beat-less squabble of Motivated By Jealousy takes an acute measure of blighty's radgy pulse.
B-side; his Bullied By Love comes off as a grimacing answer to Ancient Methods' industrial steppers, then Caveman goes on like a chips 'n curry sauce-fed analog to Muslimgauze-via-Vatican Shadow vibes.Aye, we're all fucked. But at least we can dance about it with JK Flesh..

Danse Club Records launched in the latter months of 2012 and has, to date, built a solid reputation with its remixed and re-issued 90's US house classics. That however, was always just part of the plan for label bosses Scott & Austen Smart, the sibling duo whose passion for electronic music gave birth to the imprint. Working together as Brodanse, Scott & Austen have been behind two of the remixes released on the label to date joining the likes of Matt Tolfrey, Oliver $ and Just Be to name a few. The bigger plan however was always to develop the label's release schedule with new original releases sitting alongside the re-issued 'Gold Series' records and so the first of these new releases comes fittingly from Brodanse themselves. 'Activate' is not the pair's debut single, coming as it does, hot on the heels of the excellent release for Chicago's Fresh Meat Records. The in demand Brodanse also have a single lined up with the highly respected Fullbarr imprint, but this is something special, released on their own label and featuring vocals from the ever-excellent Cari Golden. The release kicks off with the original version of 'Activate', a pulsing slice of vocal house that employs a simple bass driven groove to provide the soundbed for Cari Golden's distinctive vocals. A peppering of emotive piano chords and swirling FX bring further depth to the mix whilst the arrangement keeps drawing the attention back to that insistent groove, quality stuff. Continuing in the same fashion the Tupiar Records Wax Collection we welcome Florian Meffert on our fourth vinyl masterpiece - Decent EP. A driven individual in his passion for experimental music, with roots in Frankfurt(DE), that matchless sound and impeccable techniques as a producer are serving as an example for precise and inspirational music. One of those artists that disconnect from the real world escaping into a new world while the creative flow takes over, outgrowing himself at full speed with releases on labels like Sakadat, Mood24, Capodopere, Ensis Black, Inwave to name a few. He worked with Vicentiulian, Arapu, Suolo, Yaroslav Lenzyak, Kaitaro and many more who support his style, now expressing him self with industrial synths & breaks in Decent (A1), taking us on a journey of soundwaves all the way to his darkest corners of imagination, filled with liquid textures & ambiental backgrounds of minimalistic depth. Yet we are driven into nebulous passages through intriguing bells and whistles echoing from the misty sounds of Upset and Natshe original mixes of the upcoming 2PR deejay.
On the B side we find pleasure in the analog remix carved beautifully by experimented Alan Castro from Argentina, spotted on labels like Bodyparts & Arupa Records. Putting his DNA into Decent, Alan exceeds continuous experimentation charged with sensibility and passion for his work, letting all the melodies and kick join together to make us dance and travel through sounds with all its power, resulting this exquisite happy end to this 12 inch release mastered by Maurice Giovannini.
To top it of in our artistic approach, we bring you this unique 100% romanian cover, "Necromæns" painted with acrylics on canvas by talented Anita Frâncu. Many untold stories lay hidden under the strokes of the young painter, besides the aphotic site of this artwork that matches perfectly the overall design concept of Mihai Dafinoiu - responsible for the image of Tupiar Records & Tupiar Limited Record Labels.

2018 Reissue

This October will see the release of Jesper Ryom's 'Aviator' EP on La Fleur's Power Plant Records, backed with a remix from the label boss herself. Budding producer Jesper Ryom has gradually become a well-respected name in electronic music since making his debut on Power Plant Records with 'Nature Boy' in 2011. Since making his debut Jesper has relocated to Berlin to embrace the thriving music scene the city has to offer, and has gone on to release with German imprint Freude Am Tanzen, as well as recently supporting Marek Hemmann on his latest album tour, which stands as testament to his striking skills as a producer and live act. Here we see Jesper Ryom make a return to Power Plant Records with the long awaited 'Aviator' EP, again showcasing his signature melodic, groovy and heartfelt style. On the latter half of the release we a remix that comes from label-head La Fleur, who reshapes 'Aviator' with her signature upfront style, opting for a more stripped-back feel with her interpretation La Fleur crafts a dreamy reshape fuelled by chiming melodies, while the rugged rhythms and infectious sub tones generate a more dance floor focused feel.

* Joe Ford is a producer painting pictures with his sounds. Like any artist true to their craft, his long-awaited debut album 'Colours In Sound' is as experimental as it is complete.
Unveiling the melodic magic of 'Said' to the brutalist impact of 'Tomb Raver', this album delivers from start to finish. 'Where Is The Sun' is an enigmatic opener which grows on the listener as quickly as the track sprouts from itself. Undulating synths and a hot stepper of a beat drive you forward. Collaborations include 'Out Of Place' with Memtrix, 'Care For Me' with Document One, 'Made Of Glass' with Koven and 'Adrenaline' featuring rap-metal band, Hacktivist. Materials blend seamlessly across the tracks as the artists combine to create an exhibition of sonic fascination.
The thing which sets this album apart from a sea of imitators can be measured by its effects on the senses. Heady, astute, deep techno and ambient from Blue Veil, a new musical project from Danny Clancy. Blue Veil's debut EP reveals gorgeously textured techno on tracks like 'wherethetimegoes' and 'Citizen Score', as well as crafting some tender ambient passages on cuts like 'Night Czar' and 'A Kind Of Adventure'.
The EP will be released on Dichotomy Records, a new imprint, dedicated to refined electronic music. The label's ambition is to allow artists to explore dichotomies through their work, as they span sonic landscapes from pure ambient to techno, and other abstract dance sounds in-between. There will be a strong attention to the visual presentation of the label, with all artwork and photography also created by label boss Danny Clancy.
With the next release lined up from Ahu, and more to follow from there, the agenda for Dichotomy Records looks hugely promising indeed.
