Baba Stiltz-on-Studio Barnhus is an ongoing series of records that both define our label and constitute a sort of independent, freewheeling sidetrack to its narrative. From the tempo-bending noise-house of his 2013 label debut Our Girls to this new Is Everything EP, his eighth original Studio Barnhus release, our buddy Baba has never not amazed us with his unpredictable methods, rigorous work ethic and life-changing trax. On this particular record: Icy techno soul, actual r'n'b, the real future funk! An opportune start to '17 for us and Baba, who's looking forward to a year filled with a variety of record releases, collaborations, dj nights and live shows.

Marco Bailey strikes back to his own imprint MB Elektronics with yet another powerful EP in the form of ''Something I Remember''. Being more and more influenced by his unstoppable gigs all over the world, the label boss never disappoints on transforming his endless power to sound. The title track arrives first including also its ''Amadeas Synth'' version, which each of them can destroy every dancefloor in any occasion. Techno is never enough though and Marco Bailey knows it better than anyone, so he dropped in the package another one powerful weapon named ''Aubach'' planning to overwhelm any last raver standing. Marco Bailey and his MB Elektronics techno train have no breaks. Watch out !

Despite building their careers out of strikingly different musical places, both dBridge and Radioactive Man have taken influence from the field in which each other operate. dBridge (Darren White) was part of the iconic drum & bass outfit Bad Company and he helms one of the scene's most solid and quality imprints in Exit Records and Radioactive Man (Keith Tenniswood) was born from the acid house scene and the off kilter electronics of his Two Lone Swordsman projects (alongside Andrew Weatherall) which led him to create his decidedly UK take on Drexciyan electro. It's by no means a stretch to learn that both producers have crates that contain their favourites from each genre but they've also found a mutual respect and connection in the studio over the last few years, leading to the dBRm moniker for Craig Richards' The Nothing Special label

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris'  showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist. 

In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz's up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Monkey Safari's dedication to their craft is catching the attention of industry dignitaries and fans alike with their consistent releases and non-stop international touring. * Once again, providing a context for exciting new producers to release their debut 12', Cold Recordings is proud to now bring you 'Cocktail Party Effect'. Hailing from a musical family Eric Baldwin, the currently Berlin based but British pro- ducer, shows off his colours here with a diverse, rhythmical, experimental - but always dance floor savvy - EP of 4 killer cuts, all rolling out between 125-130bpm.

* The title track 'Battered' leads the EP , kicking things off with a glitching set of electronics , setting a curious mood ,be- fore dropping into a crazed rhythmical explosion, fidgety and erratic, but somehow glued together in a fluid, propelling motion. 'OOYFM' takes things into slightly more typical UK bass music territory, rolling out techno ingredients, a grimey UK bassline with broken-beat rhythmical dynamics that also hint at UK-Garage influences.

* Flip the vinyl for the second half of the EP and you'll find 'Intens' taking up a stance that sits somewhere between dancehall and techno, rolling and smashing its way as it goes along, while descending electronic motifs cascade in sympathy. Finally the EP closes with 'I Kno3' which pulls back on the instant gratification factors but hits out instead with a moody, bass driven and percussively expressive exit track.

After a super-busy 2014 summer season of distinctly exceptional releases from Juan Deminicis (Found02), Yunus Güvenen (LF014) and Brian Cid (LF016), Guy J's Lost & Found label is set to raise the bar again with an amazing meeting of musical minds.

Some collaborative projects are made in heaven and maybe this is one of those moments With an illustrious career stretching over two decades, Chico Shuella has become one of Israel's most respected and sought after DJs and producers. An accomplished pianist (with an exceptionally keen ear for musical harmony), he operates under his Chicola production moniker and has transformed the underground house scene in his homeland while making giant strides on a global scale.

Meanwhile, legendary Tel Aviv-based DJ, Sahar Z, a longtime veteran of the global techno-house scene, has also emerged as one of Israel's finest musical talents. Not limited by any genre or style, Sahar Z's influences come from many directions, creating his unique sound that transports the crowd through a journey of atmospheres and moods, from deeply melodic sounds and fresh electronica to harder yet soulful techno.

Chicola and Sahar first met 15 years ago while Sahar was the resident DJ at the famous Haoman 17 club (the biggest and most prestigious club in Israel). Chicola was the resident DJ at the TLV (also a very famous club) and the two musical connoisseurs DJ'ed together at many of the after-parties. Around 2004, the scene in Israel started to slow down and they both headed off to explore different musical opportunities, only to be reunited 2 years ago when they decided to combine their boundless creativity in a studio environment and make lots of tracks together. Two of their resulting, unbelievably amazing, diverse musical creations are now to be unveiled on Lost & Found.

Whether it be the hypnotic, subtly evolving, energetic, melodic vibes of "They Made Me Do It", or the slower, bass-heavy, abstract experimentalism of "Smoothy Moody", what you have here are two glorious creations that fuse together and break down any remaining genre boundaries in a truly futuristic fashion. This is music to hold close to your heart. This is music that has such freedom of expression that is more than the sum of its many parts.

Lost & Found is steadily building a catalogue of releases that are uniquely joyous, uplifting, intelligent and beautiful. Guy J and his ever increasing family of artists that he features alongside his own productions, are exploring the psyche of electronic dance music, asking questions and tasting possibilities, forging ahead into the future. This is a label that everyone should, most definitely, always keep on his or her music radar. Chicola and Sahar Z are the next exciting piece in an ever-evolving musical jigsaw puzzle.

The second release on Infidel Bodies has as its protagonist "Le Moderniste"
For his debut on the italian label, he produced an album industrial / rhythmic noise, a tribute to some legends of noise music such as: Marco Corbelli (Atrax Morgue), Maurizio Bianchi, Tairy Ceron (Today I'm dead), Rozz Williams.
This album is an evocation to sacrality and mysterious fascination of death. The artist radicalizes his sound in this release, getting the result: "a strong work, dark, dirty, it smells death and filth" (Le Moderniste)
This special edition provides a particular package composed of two bags stapled with inside: transparent cassette c60 pro-dubbed, artworks (by Paul van Trigt), hand-sewn insert, black nitrile gloves.

For the sixth release on Tardis Records, label owners Eli Verveine and Oscar Schubaq proudly present two tracks from the personal archives of Peter Kremeier a.k.a. Losoul, a man who has been rocking dancefloors and enchanting listeners with his uniquely abstract and tripped-out take on minimal house for two decades and counting. On the A-side, "Soda Island" hangs cut-up vocal stabs over the last word in bone-dry, bass-heavy grooves. "Sparkling Please" on the flip starts out cheerfully but then subtly mutates into spooked insectoid psychedelia anchored by crisp percussion and bass. Drop either of these cuts at the right moment and watch the dancers lose their minds! Mastered and cut by Stefan Betke at Scape Mastering.

Connan Mockasin has the kind of deliciously off-kilter and gloriously idiosyncratic worldview that rapidly proves addictive.

Berlin DJ/producer Daniel Steinberg returns with his wonderful third album 'Left-Handed' - a kaleidoscopic trip through house, electronica and jazz and imbued with the artist's trademark warmth and adventurous musical spirit. Left-Handed vinyl Part 1 includes opening track 'Corn Dog' - a melting pot of Latin tech, funk, rap and jazz, the chicago inspired 'State of Mind' and 'Bones to the bluesy nostalgia of 'Peace'. This is an album's album that's heavy on highlights, while working beautifully as a cohesive whole.

Seance is back with a third release, this time with original works supplied by the talented Japanese artist Hironori Takahashi (Stroboscopic Artefacts / Informa Records) and a sublime remix from Gianluca Meloni & Dino Sabatini two highly respected artists working under their Modern Heads alias all on a stunning transparent 12' vinyl in full artwork sleeve

Coming up next on FORMAT is a new EP from the label's head honcho Juan Sanchez including remixes by Jeroen Search and Andre Kronert. The Diffy EP marks Juan's first FORMAT EP released under his own name, and it's definitely one that will turn heads on the floor. The original version of 'Diffy' and 'Mirage' reflect Juan's trademarked minimal but hard-as-nails techno sound: staccato kicks, nervously rattling percussions and looped synth pulses make up the fundaments of both tracks, locking in all ingredients for proper techno clubbing.Up first on the remix tip is renowned techno veteran Jeroen Search, whose remix of 'Diffy' is a chunky piece of stripped floor funk with subtle hints of Detroit techno. Following up is a rerub by Andre Kronert, who drops a beefy slab of mid-tempo techno that's particularly heavy on the dub side of things. 007 does have a license to kill for a reason, you know...

FIRST FULL-LENGTH IN SEVENTEEN YEARS FROM CHAIN REACTION /FORCE INC. LEGENDS.

Ever since their initial singles were released in the mid-1990s and became international calling cards for the Chain Reaction label, the Porter Ricks duo of Thomas Köner and Andy Mellwig have represented that crucible point in which techno music leaked into new social environments and became the background music for cutting-edge cultural critique.

Their submerged 'scuba' sound, presented in dark tone colors and reverberating to infinity, is now instantly identifiable as one of the 'soundmarks' of Berlin club culture. Just as importantly, it is still a palpable aftershock of a pre-millenial genre explosion that saw deep dub, shimmering post-rock, abstract hip-hop and art-damaged noise all drinking from the same well of inspiration.

For proof of Porter Ricks' enduring legacy, look no further than the fact that 'dub techno' is now a stylistic movement that has expanded far beyond the confines of Berlin and the Basic Channel / Chain Reaction label alliance (where Mellwig's mastering skills also played a starring role). Lurid traces of PR's aesthetic can now be found in the work of producers like Andy Stott and Miles Whittaker, showing the potential for the duo's unique 'aquatic' techniques to be applied to a variety of different musical contexts.

Their new LP on Tresor, Anguilla Electrica, may be their first full-length release in seventeen full years, but it radiates with confidence and with a clarity and intensity rarely seen in a world so oversaturated with communications noise. It's made clear at once that it's a continuation of a sonic ideal rather than a tribute to what has already been achieved: the duo is not idly sitting back while their newer acolytes do their talking for them.

This new LP is well worth the wait and is a life-affirming one in an uncertain and perilous time, drowning out daily anxieties like a rush of incoming surf - yet it is far more invigorating than relaxing. True to the Porter Ricks tradition, it will be just as exciting hearing this music as it will be to experience what new cultural mutations it leaves in its wake.

Jonas Kopp is the man in charge of our label's new and latest release. The Argentinean DJ and producer is one of the most prolific in the scene: he records for the best labels, never stops remixing and has gigs almost everywhere. And of course, he also runs his own imprint, Traut Muzik.

His trademark sound is given a twist here. 'Westphalia' is an effective track but slowly paced; solid drums start the arrangement until the metallic flanged sequence comes in slowly, as well as the 909 hats. Two minutes later, more percussive elements appear, bright claves, more emphasis on the hats, and the sequence keeps mutating and evolving constantly.

Oscar Mulero delivers two different versions of 'Westphalia': the rmx B version is a stripped down, clean, dubby remake, taking away all the heavy components and focusing on the liquidness. The other workout keeps the pressure of the original, using a short loop of the main sequence, making things more cyclical and hypnotic, while keeping the energy alive.

Closing the release is 'Circinus', closer to Mills-style sci-fi techno, with bell-like arpeggios, opaque bass drums and percussion galore.

Our fourth release is a special collaboration of anthem creator and Footwork label head Jay Lumen and the super talented Roberto Capuano (Drumcode, Truesoul), fusing their different tastes of techno. Octaves EP' finds the perfect balance between banging and melodic techno. The melodic Octaves' consists of vocal cuts and vigorous synths and chords while Aquila' with it's Moog bass synth and breakdown theme is a true banger groove. Absolute festival anthems!!
