Nach ein paar bestens genutzten Jahren an der 12"-Single-Front kehrt der brasilianische Groove-Architekt GUI BORATTO zum Langspielformat zurück und schließt mit dem neuen Meisterwerk ABAPORU an sein 2011er Album "III" (KOMPAKT 242 CD 90) an - eine exotische und farbenprächtige Klangreise, verteilt über 13 üppig orchestrierte Tracks die die gleiche Neigung zu unglaublich eingängigen Melodien und ansteckenden Rhythmen aufweisen wie sein gefeiertes 2007er Albumdebüt CHROMOPHOBIA (KOMPAKT 152 CD 56).

In seiner bislang vielleicht besten Arbeit vertaut GUI BORATTO verschiedene zeitgenössische Stränge Pop-getränkten Technos miteinander und übersetzt sie in seinen ganz eigenen Groove-Bewußtseinsstrom - auch eine Technik der kulturellen Aneignung, wie Titel und Cover-Artwork von ABAPORU andeuten: mit der Referenz auf das berühmteste modernistische Gemälde Brasiliens, "Abaporu" von der im frühen 20. Jahrhundert agierenden Künstlerin Tarsilo Do Amaral, bedienen sie sich bei der reichen Geschichte moderner brasilianischer Kunst, wo europäische und indigene Einflüsse auf spannendste Weise kollidieren.

Black country overlord Justin K Broadrick (Jesu, Godflesh) blesses Regis' Downwards fiefdom with two tracks and a tightly sprung rework by Surgeon. Downwards have really picked the foulest iterations of a grim set for vinyl release, inscribing the industrial-strength torque of Nothing Is Free - which sounds like early Kode 9 battered by Shapednoise - at 45rpm across the front face, and branding the knuckling 808 snares and distended electro bass blow out of Kontorted on its backside.
Surgeon's remix of the title tune ranks among his best in many years. Trace elements of the original are extruded thru modular kit and remodelled on a bouncing, swerving techno chassis recalling BMB and CUB classics, but streaked with sirens and vamped by a marching brass refrain that's just spoiling for war.
The release marks a long overdue overlap between Downwards' and Broadrick's interrelated industrial, noise and techno circles. Broadrick was the original drummer for Napalm Death on their Scum (1987) album, before forming the legendary Godflesh, and
carving out an oeuvre as one of the most feared and respected musicians to emerge from Birmingham and the UK ever since.

- Reissue of classic 'Trackman' EP buy Mark Archer of Altern 8 - remastered from the original 1995 tapes.

Mark Archer is a long standing British electronic music veteran, with several heavily influential aliases and collaborations under his belt, the best known of which being the seminal UK hardcore act Altern 8 alongside Chris Peat. The pair also recorded as Nexus 21 on the classic Network records label. The subtle and unique blend of Detroit Techno, Acid House and UK Hardcore that Nexus 21 became known for, can also be heard in Archer's solo outings as Trackman:

''In 1995 I was asked by my good friend Neil Macey, who was incidentally one of my greatest influences DJ-wise alongside Astrix & Space, if I could do a few tracks for the first release on his new label - Ideal Trax. I asked him what kind of music the label was putting out as I'd been pretty much deep into the hardcore thing, and then working on more housey tracks as Slo Moshun, so when he said he was after something with techno, Chicago house and Acid all mixed up, Trackman was born.''

The first Trackman EP went out on Ideal Trax in 1995, a six track, two vinyl EP spanning trippy, classic Acid cuts, Detroit and Chicago influences, Sheffield Bleep and Manchester Hacienda rave era overtones. 'Trackman' has now been lovingly remastered and re-issued on Infrastructure, with a bonus track 'Paradise' included, which featured later on the 1996 'Don't Stop' EP - also a classic in it's own right.

Give'n'Take is a new series on Uncanny Valley that focuses on favourite and like-minded producers from some of our core artists. For the start, Cuthead picked Max Graef, S3A and Moony Me and also contributed two tracks to the EP himself. Berlin's wunderkind Max Graef hands in "Tittenkuschler", a slow burner that will find a home on heartfelt dancefloors and sofas alike. Cuthead's follows up with a punchy house affair called "Braziliance" and the super-relaxing Hip-Hop-cut "Oef Oef". On the flipside we have S3A from Paris with the discoid "Theuz Hamtaak". He takes no prisoners with extensive sampling and an up and down bouncing arrangement. "Magergarten" from Vienna's Moony Me runs in the same vein with its string-heavy break and powerfull drumming. For the visual component Uncanny Valley asked Lucas Hunter aka Luca Lozano aka Luke to create one of his oldschool-praising artworks.

Lizzaras spielerischer Umgang mit den Elementen von - Puttin' On The Green Hat' sorgt für gute

fest, sondern liefert ein Paradebeispiel für den kreativen Umgang damit. Durch weglassen einzelner

The new EP by Wolfgang Lohr is an absolutely catchy record. Significant are the groovy drums, the retro electric piano of the 70's and housey vocals in "Free As A Bird". "Tabula Rasa" goes steeply forward - typical for the dancefloor. Remixes come from Bebetta (Berlin) and Rich Vom Dorf (Hamburg), who have produced very smashing and varied tracks. In short: A strong EP for the club!

We kick off the first in a irregular series of Rubadub twelves with a three track twelve from the New York dwelling Anthony Naples (Mr Saturday Night, Trilogy Tapes). Features three cracking House tracks that come stamped with the Chief's seal of approval.

With this release RotRaum brings two massive techno pieces on a yellow colored oneside 12".
"Rough Sine" by Eric Kanzler is a dark tech track with a groovy rollin´ bassline and an incisive snyth.
Thomas Wesers "90 Degress" is even more uncompromising: athmospheric and moody detroit techno.

Since his frst appearance on JEUDI with True' our favourite Monte has developed his very own unique style. Coming from the nerdish synth world and being a big Carpenter fan his now darker approach to his sound was a consequent progression. We are great admirers of his art and proud to present his 3rd release , the Radical' EP on JEUDI records.

As remixers we have engaged Man Power who came to fame in 2013 and kept his real identity under wraps which has led him to be mistaken for John Talabot or some other major artist. His recent album on correspondant was incredibly well received. Washerman, Gianni Siravo has been around since many years under diferent names releasing since 1998 on drumpoet community amongst others. We have been following their works for a while now and are very happy they said promptly yes' when our request came.

Radical is a hymnic thick and deep monster with a master bass lead constantly evolving to the bursting point when every part of the body starts to shiver. Radical' was a permanent feature of our summer sets and always one of the highlights concerning crowd reaction.

Simpler is dark, trippy and cinematic. It's a technoish path Monte is following here.
The raw sequence is fanked by rough brasses and spooky darkness.

Remixes

Man Power combines disco-heavy acoustic percussion & slighter rhythmic to create a more positive tension of the 'Radical' track, in which mallets take over the mainrole.

Washerman extracted the spheric side of 'Simpler' in his interpretation.

Atmosphere is defnitely the emphasis of this work of complexity.

To unearth a forgotten gem and bring it to a whole new audience is an unbeatable feeling. Label boss Gregor Tresher has been keeping his very own jewel under wraps for many weeks, but the time has come to unveil his beloved anthemic set closer.

Chymera's 'Shadowdancer' original saw a release back in 2007 and was yet another exemplary display of the Irish producer's enviable talent for creating beautiful and uplifting soundtracks. Its combination of finesse and power generated perfect dancefloor emotions and it was these that has lead to it never leaving the Break New Soil boss's record box.

"The original is one of those perfect end of night tracks that has just never left my playlists. I was always getting people coming to the booth to ask what it was..." says Gregor.

It was this response that lead to the new release. Yes, 'new' release. Chymera has revisited his original production, mixed and re-recorded the brand new 2014 version that we bring you today. Not only that, but Gregor also presents his very own rework.

"I've been working on the remix for quite some time. For me, the original is already perfect so I tried to take my mix in a different direction whilst maintaining the beautiful vibe of the original."

Our first EP is called LOVING ONCE AGAIN, which is the perfect name to describe our current circumstances, both personally and professionally.

The author of this fabulous track is ROMANO ALFIERI, an amazing person in whom we see ourselves reflected. He is the product of both talent and hard work. He is someone who loves music.


We are proud that he is representing us. He is also the newest member of our small family NOON artists, our management and bookings agency.

GUTI
We have asked GUTI (Desolat) to remix our first track because
HE's that organic part of the music that Reboot and I come from. GUTI is Rock 'n' Roll, he's the most organic, most acoustic part of our genre. We love and admire him.

REBOOT
Reboot had to remix Romano's track, the first one from our label, because in the end HE is the soul of all this. All of the rest of us at NOON are part of the mechanism needed to make this all happen. Reboot is the talent.

Friday 6th November sees global popstar Sam Smith release 'In The Lonely Hour: The Drowning Shadows Edition' - the extended version of his chart topping album containing a second CD of new and exclusive tracks.

The exciting new album features an exclusive new track 'Drowning Shadows', co-written by Smith and Fraser T. Smith and produced by Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice. 'Drowning Shadows' elegantly opens the second disc of the extended edition and is a stripped back, heart wrenching ballad that debuts Sam's impressive vocals over cascading strings and piano. Sam Smith also announced recently that he is the latest in a long line of superstars to sing the James Bond theme song. Smith has released 'Writing's On The Wall', the bond theme song for the forthcoming 'Spectre' film making it the first James Bond theme song recorded by a British male solo artist since 1965.  

CDC is the next Materialism signing.. UK talents are now throwing a massive vinyl with AMP EP filled of housey grooves! NOT TO BE MISSED !

The opening track on this double sided GYNLTD series comes from Hironori Takahashi. 'Speclaz' displays sharp panned cymbals and sonics, underpinned by a pulsey rhythm and modulated organesque synths. The Takaaki Itoh remix is a deeper and more moody affair, albeit with a similar syncopated rhythm structure and some tasty modulated acidic synth stabs with filtered atmospherics.

On the flip-side, Myk Derill's 'Crossroads' takes a turn for a more broken industrial rhythm with looped vocal chants holding it all together before breaking down into a washed out synth breakdown, then returning to the pre-emnent fat rhythm and vocalised stabs.

Finally track 4 sees Philippe Petit remix, with the artist opting for a very stripped back 4-4 hi-hats/percussive workout underpinning minimalistic modulated synth and gentle bassy offsets. The most tooled-up track of this EP.

Midi Mood Records is glad to introduce 'Look at me', the new EP by Manfredi Barbarossa (known as DJ Manfred), in collaboration with Sanna Hartfield's marvellous voice, with whom he had already produced the chill-house track 'City of lights' (remixed by Martin Roth, Alex Dimou and Phunx). Tevo Howard, an historic American DJ and representative of the most authentic Chicago house. 'Look at me' besides being the real title of the sequence, it seems to be the expression of steadiness and fluidity of the voice, in a context of music balance, presenting in the first part a moderate and suggestive trend, the second one completely changes the rhythm, on different tones. Sparkling, enchanting, intense and even emotionally involving. All this makes of this EP an original and excellent new band.

The clean' is a classic Olympic weightlifting' movement where the lifter moves a weighted barbell from the floor to a racked position across deltoids and clavicles. The clean' is mainly to build power and strength therefore this movement has become a popular training method in various sports to develop explosiveness and speed.

Ben Long from UK techno mainstays, Space DJz, with a new solo EP entitled 'Toltec' featuring remixs from the Detroit Grand Pubahs & Darko Esser (aka Tripeo) 'Toltec' sees Ben stepping away from the blistering techno of Space DJz, to a more minimal approach that's thoughtful and melodic, as it builds from its soaring intro into a raw and grinding groove.

J.C. touches down, going to the farthest reaches of the sonic landscape and returning with a portrait of the flying sky. Dark brooding techno with a emotional edge, not for the faint of heart.

3KZ delivers the first record for the new vinyl label Suburban Avenue. The Ep offers three diverse techno tracks, Bounder, Perception and Oppression, produced by two of finest Italian young talents, Z.I.P.P.O and Kaelan, accompanied by an amazing and classy remix from the master Mark Broom.

A1 'Bounder' is a truly dancefloor killer track, with epic chords and hard groove.
With A2 'Bounder - Mark Broom remix' the English techno legend delivers a stunning Detroit influenced remix of A1.
B1 'Perception" and B2 'Oppression' are booth two trippy and dark techno tracks with hypnotic synths aimed at the big floors.

After nine successful releases on their KVK series of the Karlovak label, KVK1000 will be the tenth and final release on the KVK imprint.

RAW ROOTZ returns with its fourth release. Its been a hell of a ride already for the vinyl imprint, having seen
003 from Jorge Savoretti and 001 & 002 from Raw Rootz (Scan Mode & Alvaro Sanchez) pick up an
overwhelming stream of support from friends and respected peers.
So to 004 the label welcomes Diego Gonzalez, aka Papol. Having spent much of the late nineties and early
noughties wearing his promoter hat, it was a hook up with fellow promoter Kasper that rst lead to the path of
production. Since his debut release in 2006 - a collaboration with Kasper on Igloo - Diego has gone on to release
music on Ilian Tape, Lessizmore, Savor Music and, very much his home label, Esperanza.

Today, under his Papol guise, he makes his RAW ROOTZ debut with two tough, rough and more than ready
originals in the form of the hypnotic 'Exedra' and the popping synth-driven gem 'Rdl'. For the remixes, the label
call on friend and Savor Music boss Franco Cinelli, who adds his own powerful synth line to Exedra, before Raw
Rootz themselves go to work on Rdl.

The excellent Apparel label returns with a new reworking of the superb single 'Spread Love' from much lauded Turkish producer Sarp Yilmaz... Apparel Music has been releasing quality electronic sounds since 2009, focusing on it's own unique 'Jazzy' style that incorporates house, techno, electronica and more. Releases from label boss Kisk alongside producers such as Lopazz, Gavin Herlihy & Echonomist have helped make Apparel a highly respected label and a 'go to' for quality music. Istanbul based producer Sarp Yilmaz has been around for a few years now, but it's with his recent output, including his album for Apparel this year, that he has been gaining serious attention. Support from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, who played his music on Pete Tong's show and Osunlade, who described him as the 'best new artist around' in his Guardian interview, go to show that Yilmaz's time is very much now. 'Spread Love' featured on Yilmaz's recent album 'As If I Care' and was one of the highlights of the LP. Here it appears as a reworked version for this exclusive one-sided 12 release. The track is a superbly deep and warm slice of underground house that perfectly marries electronic elements with a subtle musicality. Rich keys and rolling bass join with the organic sounding percussion to create the perfect base for the atmospheric vocals, pure quality! There may only be one track on offer here, but it truly if something special and will no doubt further cement the reputation of Sarp Yilmaz and the excellent Apparel Music. words/ Julian Shay
