Only a month on from their 'Born Again EP' SCAR are back delivering yet another collection of heaters, this time on Metalheadz Platinum.

FD steps in for his first solo release for SUNANDBASS Recordings with his 'Serious' EP. 'Serious' received it's first public play on Lenzman's 'Dope Tape' - and was the most commented and sought after track in a mix that now boasts over 130,000 plays. Ever since that airing, both Drum & Bass fans and DJs alike have been eagerly awaiting to get their hands on the track, which will now finally see a release. Deep and musical yet also Seriously weighty, the track causes dancefloor damage but is also nuanced enough to offer listening pleasure alone.The EP also contains a Calibre remix of FD's 'Ambra', a homage to the club that is the spiritual home of the SUNANDBASS festival. Bringing in the 'Music Man' to remix the track was an obvious choice, with the style of the track and also his love of the festival. He brings his own sublime and subtle touch to the track, turning it into a typical piece of Calibre music, deep and entrancing, one to bring a tear to your eye. The EP is bought together with 'The Edges', a track that shows FD's tougher side. A legitimate roller and a great DJ tool and already heavily supported by tastemaker Marcus Intalex, this track will be played by a whole range of DJs and can fit into a set at any point to change or set a mood with it's heavy yet classic break and big bass and upfront sounds.

"368 Ft And Rising" is an intricate concoction of R&B flavours, funk stabs, ragga vocals and a bumpy street level groove that sounds like very early Philly Blunt being squeezed through a garlic crusher.

But as we're all about quality over quantity, our latest 12" offering comes with a superb collage of fresh music by the one and only Radicall. Having made his mark as one of the most consistent producers, known for his trademark combination of strong, dynamic drum programming and soft and booming basslines, Radicall keeps on delivering top-quality music with each next release. 8205 Recordings is back in 2018 with more previously unreleased gems from the heyday of hardcore/jungle. This time around, it's back to 93 with four tracks of serious darkness from DJ Wax, a well known DJ/producer of the time responsible for the classic tune "Moments So Dark". "Lostwax EP" features two freshly unearthed tracks which have never been heard before in any form: the moody-yet-uplifting "808 Darkness Pt2", and the absolutely relentless "Thunderbirds Are Go". Also included is a previously unreleased remix of a track off DJ Wax's Darkwax EP, here titled "Not For Sale". Finally, for those without the original, a freshly remastered version of 'Moments So Dark' is included, as played back in the day by Grooverider, Ray Keith, DJ Ratty, Simon Bassline Smith, and many more hc/jungle dons.

After six years with seminal label Metalheadz, building his reputation through a steady output of Soulful Drum & Bass, Lenzman is about to embark on a new journey: launching his own label.

The North Quarter, named after the neighbourhood where he grew up, will be an outlet for both his own productions as well as music by like minded individuals, who share a love and dedication for all things soulful. Naturally its first release is a Lenzman EP: 'All For You'.

Taking everything that has shaped him musically and has meant something to him over the years, Lenzman is combining these ingredients to create something heartfelt. Music with imperfections, born in heartache and pain, joy and laughter, a human celebration. Something far beyond container concepts like 'Drum & Bass'. A classic attitude shaped in 21st century interpretations, a beautiful struggle if you will. Rather than offering a single track, The North Quarter is about reaching deeper, allowing artists a more varied pallet and more freedom.

Echo Chamber Sound 004 is one for the collectors. This is the first clear vinyl release on the label and comes with two extra special jungle riddims.

Side one sees Sekkleman & LQ join forces to build a tuff amen and soul pride combination roller called Junglist Rock. This tune draws inspiration from JA soundclash culture and mid 90s golden era jungle but in a modern style. Check the 3 bass switches and 'The note of doom' which hits midway through the tune.

Side two features a remix of LQ's track Time Is Runnin' from new producer, Relative who has taken the mid 90s vibe of the original and brought it bang up to date. Relative combines precise breakbeat edits, bass switches and a sonic palette that has roots firmly in the original jungle sound to create a uniquely forward thinking piece of music.

To celebrate the 10th vinyl release on Lossless Music, Soul Intent delivers 4 cuts on dark and moody drum and bass as only he can. The title track 'The Tide' sees Soul Intent collaborate with label regular and dark vibe master Paragon. 'Cypher' hails the first production outing from Ben Repertoire (from the Repertoire label) who happens to also be Lossless graphic designer and fellow lover of Co-Op Pickle Pork Pies.

Also on the B-side is a solo effort from Soul Intent called 'Lose Yourself' which demonstrates yet more of his love of that classic Headz sound, turning heads whenever it's played. On the A Side you'll find Sinistarr's '55555': the Detroit bass producer - with a 10yrs experience in sound design and recently appeared with an astonishing work on legendary dBridge label Exit Records - gives us a pure example of his sonic craziness with a minimal-but-high-impact work, with chopped vocal samples, magic flutes and heavy basses.On the B Side '55555' gets a full treatment by Philip D. Kick: Cosmic Bridge honcho Jim Coles - well known in the worldwide bass scene as Om Unit - surprisingly comes back with his iconic footwork moniker giving to the original vibes a more accentuate rave touch, with hyper speed drum patterns, amen breaks and piano notes.

Weaving classic sounds with a modern and highly polished production ethic is something not everybody can get right, but Beta 2 has proved time and time again that he's the man for the job.

Blurring the lines between drum & bass and techno often tested by friend and occasional label-mate Pessimist, Overlook delivers four of his most atmospheric, genre-busting tracks on Osiris Music uk.

Opener 'Down The Rabbit Hole' leads with frantic tribal rhythms, before the eponymous second track slows the pace a little to lock the listener in a claustrophobic club full of slo-mo swaying bodies, distant vocal samples reverberating around even-more-distant hits.
