Berlin based producer N Phect is one of the lucky few who has managed to turn the heads of Black Sun Empire who run Obsession and these guys are hard to impress. Mainly due to the fact that they are undoubtedly the biggest Drum and Bass outfit in Europe. N Phect has done himself justice with both sides of this release which are firin' and if you like your beats raw and your basslines techy then you'll be all over this.

Numa Crew come through on the second release for White Peach, a label set up to push producers that understand how to create music with incredible technical detail, riveting synthesis and perfect low end. To go against the grain, White Peach felt there was a clear lack of innovation within the scene and this can be seen by the saturation in the digital market place with 100's of releases a week. There is an explosion of generic bass music and White Peach use a combination of detailed quality control, talented artists and peaches, to have an input in improving the quality of dance floor music within this scene. After the success of the first release from Culprate which was supported by Inspector Dubplate, Asa, Koan Sound & Gemini, Numa Crew bring three tracks reigning from three different genres. Numa Crew is a group of producers based in Florence, Italy, they have had over six releases on Elastica and own the well known bootleg label called Erba. 'Feeling Macaco' has been a prominent track within the Uk Funky scene and the demand for a VIP mix was warranted. 'Infama' was produced by Lapo and features Ninjaz and Charlie Dakilo on vocals, making this track like the Italians version of Newham Generals' 'Hard'. Solid support from all Rood FM DJs and several plays on Rinse FM has already created a stir within the scene for this massive white label release.

Chef Nymfo presents you an amuse bouche of his forthcoming debut full length album on Commercial Suicide. This sampler is due out on 14th May and the full length follows closely behind on 6th June. Look out for launch parties and tours near you. You can go back to sleep now.'

For the lovers of Hard and deephitting Drum & Bass DISTURBD029 won't let you down.
Digital Machinist by Paperclip, MJ Free feat Thesys is a heavy hitter in the field. Roaring basses and hard balanced drum patterns that are a pleasure to the ear. Monochrome Face is just as rough as the a side. An absolute roller.

Crystal-clear vinyl with metallic artwork. Isotoxal enters the stage with eerie pads and bell chimes accompanied by raw drums guaranteed to shake any sound system on the dance floor. Haunting choir vocals laced in effects, rolling breaks and rumbling b-lines add to the mix of paradoxical funk and mystique. Currently championed by Marky and Storm.Aphorismic steps forward with a head-nodding breakbeat never sampled in dnb before (normal Paradox activity) with percussion, drones and vocal stabs leading you through deep subs and distorted bass to sci-fi soundscapes. Drums intricately switch and fold with the bass to an atmospheric breakdown and a new break rises demonstrating the original b-boy roots of Paradox. Aphorismic has Dj support from diverse players such as Bailey, Naibu, Ink, FD, Flight and Loxy.

Persian returns with 6 tracks of bubbling breakbeat goodness following on from his sell out Feel da' Vibe ep. Kicking
off the A side Persian returns to his roots with a track featuring one of Britain's most legendary Hip Hop artists - Mc Mell'O.
Mell'O' has collaborated and toured with Hip Hop legends such as Jeru the Damaja, NWA, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, KRS1,
Gangstarr, Queen Latifah, The Jungle Brothers and many more. Without giving away too many clues, the rest of the ep
contains other breakbeat reworks of classic tracks that mean an awful lot to those that know. These tracks are tributes to
their respected originators. In this day of slick over produced copy cat music, it's refreshing to hear the increasingly rare
style of raw, fun, cut and paste music done only for the love of the music.

Paimon and Place2B deliver an excellent Syndrome 12'' capturing that significant Syndrome sound 1 2 sides of roaring bass pleasure. Both Shout and Secret Window are outstanding rollers with heavy amounts of bass.

Beautyfull electro breakz tunes, unformated and music. Melodious and progressives. Excellent music !

Prolix's debut solo release for Suicide. We hope there's many more to come because this 12 is sick as shit.

Protect-U is the studio project of Mike Petillo and Aaron Leitko, who are associated with the new breed of dance music producers from in and around Washington DC, coming from a similar background as Ital, Innergaze and Beautiful Swimmers, with a history of playing alongside Mi Ami, Blues Control, Slava, Steve Moore, and Pissed Jeans among others. Mike is also co-owner of the very cool record label Future Times, alongside Andrew Field-Pickering aka Maxmillion Dunbar, who is also one half of Beautiful Swimmers. The music they make is a bottom up take on dance music created out of sessions jamming on analogue gear that got serious, resulting in a brittle, but soft and exuberant house music, thoughtfully paired down to the fundamentals and kissed by sunshine and good times. Their first two EPs on Future Times have attracted lots of the right kind of attention, and this three tracker follows in the same trajectory. 'Motorbike' starts with a bassline that recalls early Jellybean-era Madonna, before the track is all but buried in woozy, psychedelic strings that seem to bend and vibrate around the rhythm. 'Lawndog' is a tougher beast, with tight syncopated tropical rhythms underpinning light and breezy synths seemingly borrowed from Dare-era Human League. 'Invisible Halo' is hazier and slower, bumping along in a drowsy fashion, like a slow accompaniment to the sunrise after the night before.

After 2 well received 12's on the Disturbed imprint. Qo now joins the Citrus family by delivering a fresh piece of black gold with the necessary bass madness. Two great rolling tunes with an uptight atmosphere. Both Infected and War Stomp are excellence to the fullest and top dancefloor material.

Heavy weight D&B smasher on the dance floor from Ray Keith.

Cutterz Choice get back amongst it with a new release from Rhythm Beater. The label has been dropping beats since 2003 and in that time has earned a strong fan base, featuring artists such as Benny Page and Ed Solo. Release 19 is by no means a let up, one that will make all the heads nod.

This tune absolutely flew off the racks when it come out on promo. Rowney and Propz have been working hard in the studio over the last few years and it's really starting to pay off as this tunes been getting a lot of love. On the flip Heist has remixed the original to maximum dance floor effect.

Following a short break after the release of the label's first journey into dubstep, DFRNT's excellent'Emotional Response'EP, normal service is resumed as Nu Directions gets back to what it's known for best, high quality, musical drum & bass. And who better to kick start the label's journey into 2012 than established drum & bass royalty. Seba needs no introduction. A true pioneer of electronic music he returns to Nu Directions after a 9 year absense with a very special offering in the form of 'Nightrider'. A cool, gliding track with funk fused guitar riffs and haunting vocals accomapanied by seba's trademark drums and skipping percussion. Flip over as Seba illustrates his versatility taking it dark for a heavyweight class of 99' amen workout in the form of 'Sharkskin'.Accompanying the vinyl release are 2 very special 'Nightrider' remixes available exclusively to download. Production duo of the moment Technicolour & Komatic offer a soulful interpretation while Audio Tactics head honcho Survival takes it down deep on what many already regard as a classic Seba production.

When talking about the fashionable side of Jungle two names always crop up, Serum and Bladerunner. On this release you get a bit of both of them, and as if that wasn't enough you get a chunk of Aries as well. The label owner steps up to remix 'Chalice' originally by the aforementioned Bladerunner and Serum. 'Reaction' by Bladerunner is on the flip.

oughly a year on from the audacious Evo 2 EP, the Shogun Audio powers that be are ready to deliver the next killer installment of the unparalleled Evolution series. EP 3 is as you'd expect nothing short of stunning. With an array of artists of the highest pedigree, from all walks of drum & bass, this third excursion has been well worth the wait.

Here's the A side of Silent Witness's solo airing on Dispatch; its one of my own favourite tunes of the year so far, I've been playing this one every set without fail for a while! Techno & D&B blended seamlessly in the form of 'Potty Mouth', we think the tune itself is more disgusting than the title! On the flip sees one of Dispatch's most all out tear-out releases in some time 'Things are Bad'. Expect alot more from this hugely talented individual on Dispatch this year as well as his collaborative album on Dispatch alongside Surival at the end of summer 2012!Support on this release from: Ant TC1, Break, Octane & DLR, Survival, Cern, Safire, Chris SU, Hybris, Nymfo, Artificial Intelligence, Sabre, Hydro, DBR UK & Ulterior Motive.

Siren Records has up until now served exclusively as the release platform for Siren, a joint alias of Vicious Circle and Universal Project's Ruxspin, with their 2010 album Broken Silence. The definitive track of that release, Snorkel, continues to get regular airplay two years down the line in both its original incarnation and the S.P.Y remix, which finally gets a release this coming May as the A-side of Siren Records very first single release (SIREN001). This surprising second outing for the seemingly limited label also enjoys an excellent submission from Vicious Circle, solo-producing Solitude on the flipside, a bleak, grimey and sonically timeless roller, characterised by its brooding bassline, amen break snippets and short, sharp vocal samples.

The final Spectrasoul single before their stunning debut album drops has arrived and it looks set to cement the duo as one the most exciting and most talented production outfits currently spearheading the multi-genre movement with a release of epic proportions. In their own words, Spectrasoul talk you through...

Over the past several years, Raphael Johnson AKA SPKTRM has become widely acknowledged as one of the most upcoming producers in the American drum & bass scene. Following his debut release in 2006, he was picked up by some of the scene's heaviest hitters, including Dieselboy's Human Imprint Recordings, Evol Intent Recordings, Barcode Recordings and Gein's imprint Habit Recordings among others, and a strong set of releases (both forthcoming and current) were signed immediately. Always evolving, SPKTRM's sound has undoubtedly gone through quite the transformation. Today, his productions range from hard hitting, dancefloor steppers to dark, sinister broken beat chaos, and lately his fascination with the fusion of deeper drum & bass vibes with elements of traditional funk and jazz. The only thing that surpasses his production style in diversity is his live shows. SPKTRM has been known to incorporate everything from the harshest of breaks and sub sonic basslines to the smooth, airy sounds of soul infused liquid drum & bass into his sets. During the summer of 2009, he took part in the first wave of the heavy metal inspired concept tour, Monsters of Jungle, alongside such artists as Dieselboy, The Upbeats, Demo, Ewun, Infiltrata, Mayhem and Evol Intent (The crew is expected to reunite in 2010 to complete a full length North American tour). Most recently, SPKTRM has linked up with Los Angeles based producer Gridlok, and is working on tunes for his infamous Project 51 Recordings. He also has additional releases lined up for the new year, as well as remixes and collaborations with the likes of Gein, Demo, Joanna Syze and Dieselboy to name a few. Through constant and tireless work, SPKTRM is rapidly making a well established name for himself, and is an act not to be missed.

Two tunes of massive proportion! The A-side features a brutal Gridlok remix of the huge beatport single 'Roulette'. Originally by State of Mind, Black Sun Empire and Bulletproof, Gridlok plys his trademark grime, the result being a monster in the club. Supported by the likes of Jade, Optiv, Neonlight, Telekinesis, Optical and anyone with a dong. The flip is one for the headz. A big bass roller that sees State of Mind team up with Concond Dawn for the first time since 2008. A favorite with Calyx & Teebee, Chris Su, Ant TC1, Klute etc etc.

State of Mind are no strangers to drum and bass, and fresh off the heels of their last album 'Nil By Ear' and their free live album, we would undoubtedly consider them official rockstars. Always busy in the studio, managing their own imprint: 'SOM Music' (State Of Mind Music), and actually finding time to tour, they are relinquishing some serious output. This double A-side record proves how versatile these gents are! The A side is a pure slice of raver euphoria with one of 2012's biggest anthems 'Mass Media,' while the flip displays a more techy-rolleresque side of the duo featuring Budapest, Hungary's finest export, Jade (whom needs no introduction) It is interesting to note, however, that all of our glorious vinyl artwork comes from the one like Gabor Simon aka Jade. Fact.

Blame is one of the most creative producers on the drum & bass scene, an accolade hard won over years of consistently breaking musical boundaries in an attempt to bring true innovation to the music that he loves. Having hits with Music Takes You and Planet Neptune on the massively respected Moving Shadow label. Joining king of liquid drum and bass LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records, Blame mixed the 2nd Logical Progression compilation series to great acclaim and globally toured with LTJ Bukem. Setting up own label 720 Degrees, Blame has also released on the mighty Hospital Records, Metalheadz and Charge Recordings.

The second single from the highly anticipated Total Science presents Tuned in 2 various artist album features 2 track from the deadly duo, the A side sees man of the hour Break bring there 2004 hit "going in circles" bang up to date with his trademark quality dancefloor style and straight into all the top dogs playlist, the flip and double A has them as always effortlessly collaborating to perfection once one again with Hospitals latest signing and longtime friend S.P.Y ,this crisp dark stepping riff workout saves the best till last as i builds a nasty raw vibe, another one being play by anyone who's anyone and making this 12 a must for the club Djs and D&B connoisseurs alike.

Limited to 200 copies White label. Following the success of their co-production with Toddla, Trojan Sound System return with another limited run of 'My God', this time featuring their own dancehall version and instrumental alongside the tropical Drum and Bass monster of Toddla's. One of the most popular break through acts of the modern jump up age has been DJ Sly. DJing all over the place, winning awards, making sick beats and over the last two years managing the killer label Higher Stakes. Tyke has been turning heads with his last few releases on Grid Recordings - plays on BBC Radio 1 from Annie Mac & Annie Nightingale for 'Scorpio' and support across the scene for all the tracks from his debut EP 'The Music Makers' have made him a name to watch in 2012.

Tyke is one of only a handful of new producers bucking current trends of the day and keeping his music dirty and aimed firmly for the dancefloor. Having made a huge impression with his first single of 2012 'Infected Headphones' Tyke is back with two tracks that have been causing havoc in club land.

Another great LOVE release for the summer. Straight up Jazzy vibes and lush vocals that are suitable for the clubs and of course the park BBQ's and outdoor parties. One sided vinyl release.
