Rockwell's rise to prominence as a rare, distinctive talent has been exciting the electronica music circuit the world over. Critical, thankfully, being the trusty forefront for all things audio-aesthetically delicious, presents the 'Aria EP' - 4 tracks of sound sublime, exemplifying Rockwell's refreshing angle on energy in the club combined with the characteristic, meticulously playful technicals, precise and thrilling as ever. The charmingly rustic intro of 'Aria' unleashes striking Flinstones-esque wooden triplets, scaling the track as stirring vocals weave through; haunting and uplifting at once, the title-track exudes sheer class. Slightly more buoyant, 'Live For The Moment' infuses an energetic tempo with profusions of ear-carressing funk and those ever-characteristic percussive twists - naughty all over. Swiftly plunged into apocalyptic darkness, the Ulterior Motive boys take a sinister liking to 'Noir'. Distinctly menacing and genuinely frightening, what better to bully the atmosphere than Hell-raising bass and staccato violins. Listen out for the breakdown bass - horrific and enriching, this track is dark by Devil's definition. Icing on the cake collaboration with underground legend Untold comes in the form of 'Rehoku Sunrise', a tribal earthy worldly masterpiece of running drums and raw, wild samples, glazing the soul in bliss. Bellissimo.

An outstanding new collection for Yellow Machines from talented Serbian producer Boris Noiz - three fierce and very forward thinking tracks which encompass elements of sci-fi sound design, emotive strings, and drilling dark step hardcore beats with precise edits, all laced with huge gnarling bass. Keeping in line with the label's fusion of old skool hardcore and intricate electronics, Noiz adds a melodic, Detroit techno flavour to the equation. 'Rapid Transitions' opens with mournful, majestic and unresolved melodies, filling the air with a sound that is wistful, innocent yet stone cold alien at the same time. It then does pretty much what the name suggests, dropping into massive beast of a tune, with thick, rolling drum breaks and growling modulated riffs with sharp edits. Rhythmically, 'Symphony Of Collision' recalls his previous work with Excision on 'Force', loaded with whirlwind beats that smash the room but shift slyly to keep you guessing where the next hit will land, while the infusion of icy dark pads points to those subtle Detroit influences. 'Inceptive Point' fuses the Sheffield warehouse bleep mechanics of LFO with the rolling drumfunk percussion of the Rag And Bone roster, adding fills and phrases in an old skool Reinforced hardcore style. This tune will bring flashbacks for those who were there raving in the early 90s, updated with 2011 production. All told, this is a trio of incredible andriod disco pressure, reminiscent in texture to early Metalheadz but with a 21st Century twist; an EP of cinematic hard step at its best, sure to tear up any dance floor.

Keeping things as fresh as ever, Kasra's Modulations imprint picks up some more rocksteady beats from someone on the tip of everyone's tongues at the moment, Dub Phizix. With other releases already on Soul:R, Fabio's Creative Source, Ingredients and more this is one Manchester export that we'll be hearing a lot more of in then future. 'Break It' kicks off with a simple intro with only a teasing glimpse of the bass that's about to drop but when it does you'd best be ready! A stepper's paradise then as the staccato break rolls on with deep sub and the gurgling mid-range that serve the 'break it' vocal perfectly. A very polished production indeed. 'Four' is all pitched down warning sirens and sinister pads from the off, creating an uneasy atmosphere for the crystal clear beats to bump into and move out across another slab of delicate but dangerous D&B for the deeper heads on the floor. Fans of old Krust records are gonna love this! DJ support from D Bridge, Spectrasoul, Kasra, Marcus Intalex, Jubei and more.

Stepping things up on Fall Out's sixth release with the labels first double pack vinyl release and what a release it is!
Zero Method has been building a name for himself over the last couple of years with releases on DSCI4, Redlight and Disturbed as well as his massive remix of Mindscape & Ryme Tyme's track Sickness for Citrus.

Citrus presents the second part of the remixes series. After the HUGE succes of the SICKNESS remix by ZERO METHOD that was at number 1 at the Beatport drum'n bass charts we have the new remixes part by Subsonik.

The A1 holds the Subsonik remix of the BLACK SUN EMPIRE classic CRASH BUNNY on Citrus024. Subsonik understands the sound of the original perfectly well and turns the neuro tech-step roller into an epic work, completely with new arranged intro with an emotional twist and big Neuro dnb basslines. Rrrrolling!

Translation Recordings returns to vinyl with a pair remixes from two scene veterans, selected to provide a fresh perspective on the digital catalogue. Up first, Seba applies his signature style to Furi Anga's 'When Our World Jaded', where twinkling hi-hats and dreamy pads drift into meticulously chopped breaks, spliced drum edits, and warm bass tones with enough low-end to rattle your chest. As the track progresses, a filtered reese surges in and out of the arrangement for added bite. On the flip, Survival revisits Slider & Expose's jazzy 'Hooked' and rolls out a soulful remix with heavy, shuffling drums, deep sub treatment, and a techno midrange that complements the track's more subtle melodic elements to deliver a refreshing and energetic tune for the summer.

The latest highly anticipated release from the USA based Ammunition Recordings features tracks from Jade & Mastif, plus Engage on the flip.

For PC081 Counterstrike and The Panacea come up with 2 anthems that showcase their unique style in the best possible way. The Minotaur is an absolute dancefloor stormer with a hard-driving bassline and catchy stabs that makes it stand out from the rest. Zef Bass with it's cheeky vocal-sample, big drums and epic synths is sure to set any venue into frenzy! Zef Bass is straight from Bellville. Kief as can be...

Klute's triumphant new release is a break driven melodic tour de force. Both sides caned by all the greats including Marcus Intalex, London Elektricty, Nu Tone & Logistics, its even been nominated for an Ivor Nevello award for outstanding instrumental composition. Get involved with what makes drum and bass so great.'

Hailing from Amsterdam, Nymfo, aka Bardo Camp has been a lynchpin in the dutch drum and bass scene for over a decade including best dutch d&b DJ in 2005. Previously having worked closely alongside Icicle, including their classic Ram release 'Franky Mountain', Bardo has released many solo and collaborative tunes on labels far and wide including, Dispatch, Critical, Ram, C.I.A. 31, Inneractive and Samurai. Through the years Nymfo has developed his own specific sound of characteristic hard driving bass, spanking funky drums and hooky motifs. It is an addictive and hypnotic sound suitable for just about any set , car drive or home listen. Think Icicle, Spectrasoul, Ulterior Motive, Jubei, Ed Rush & Optical but with more than enough of his own style to make Nymfo a standout in todays swamp of mediocre d&b.

Next stop for Revolution features another new recruit to our ever growing army, Hybris. After his huge EP for Noisia's label Vision and releases on Critical and Blackout, this producer is rapidly rising up the dnb ranks. 'Pyramids' sees Hybris teaming up with Revolution stalwart Nocturnal to deliver a moody classic brimming with bubbling basslines and razor sharp beats. Some serious technological wizadry going on here! 'Lair' takes a crisp electro-tinged beat and a perpetuating bassline and merges them together to create a deep roller with plenty of atmosphere. Definitely one to get those dancefloors rumbling!

Here we present a production duo that are making huge waves across the scene most notably on Ed Rush & Optical's Virus Recordings, Optiv & BTK are definitely a duo that gel when they grasp the studio controls. In 4 years Anile has steadily established himself as a underground D&B solider. This release for Spirits label is a absolute stomper 'Exclusion Zone'. Real heavyweight D&B with no cheese. The flip 'Code Of Conduct' by Anile & Dakosa rolls out controlled techoid fun pressure with super weighty low end sub-bass . Sinister music for the real D&B heads, perfect to mix, perfect to make you move. DJ Support Loxy, Spectrasoul, D Bridge, Total Science, S.P.Y, Lenzman, Ink, Manifest, Raiden, Spirit Instra:mental and Gremlinz, Anile is certainly one to watch in 2011.

FabricLive needed someone strong to follow on from superb mixes courtesy of Pearson Sound and Jackmaster, and sought out Goldie's help. Thankfully, he agreed.

'FABRICLIVE 58: GOLDIE' is an embodiment of the Metalheadz mantra: forever finding ways to challenge formulas and take the D&B sound into an intelligent, deeply spiritual - and downright primal - sphere. A loud and proud snapshot of his Metalheadz stable, and the likeminded artists that stay at their level on equally progressive D&B labels, the mix features some of the most cutting edge and visionary music on the genre's helm
