Beats Vinyl New Releases - News

Hardline boss Paulblackout returns with two heavy dnb/hardcore crossover tracks, to follow on from the broken, deep beats of the previous Leepshec release. 'Curse on one self' features tough sounding vampire samples and builds up to a crazy drop which will have you throwing shapes and playing air drums like a madman (or woman) On the flip is 'all you MFs' which makes use of an amusing cartoon sample and stomps along to a halftime breakdown with double kickdrums to activate fist pumping mode. Vinyl release also includes an evil illustration by Camila Carmody, with DJ support from DJ Hidden, DJ Producer, Simon Underground, Mark N and more. This is how we're kickin it.....

The A side of this release features a track from the CD & MP3 release of the Dispatch 'Transit One' album - Skeptical & MC Fokus's 'Structure'; this is a track we received many emails and messages from quite simply asking 'why is this not on vinyl' (along with other album tracks being referenced that did not appear as part of the vinyl package), the volume of differing requests led us to decide quite simply to put it to the vote and along with some help from K-Mag, Soundcloud and a mass of public votes here is the winning result pressed on to the a-side of this limited 10 vinyl. On the flip we've got something completely fresh from label man Ant TC1 in the shape of the track 'Mode Destruction' which is best explained as minimal but devastating when played loud! Enjoy.

The Rebel MC selects another quality 12 for his world famous Congo Natty Records. This time X Project lays down two mixes of 'Under Mi Sensi' for your listening pleasure and both these remixes are rockin. Watch out for plenty more from this label in 2011 as we predict it's gonna be a big one for them this year.

Frances biggest drum and bass label Drum Orange has hit with some massive releases over the years and new producer Dub Peddla steps up to deliver some pounding beats which do this well known label justice. With Dnb on the A side and Dubstep on the flip this will appeal to both buyers.

Entering with that familiar euphoric intro, make way for Beezy's satanic hook and a drop that does justice to one of the year's dubstep anthems. Moving to a more serious, steppy vibe midway through, this is not the kind of tune you want to let your girlfriend's parents catch on your radio. On the other hand, this is exactly the type of beat that's going to earn you a reputation for killing it on the dancefloor.

Here we have another quality release from the Delacroix camp, these guys specialize in ragga jungle and this release is full of tight jungle edits and rub a dub vibes. You'll be skankin out to this one trust!

The first solo 12 for Samurai Music by rising kiwi star 'Dose'. Co-writer of one of the labels biggest ever selling releases ('The Other Part Of Me' with Trei), the recent UK migrant comes with what we feel is his best work to date. 'Reason Being' defines the term roller, and with its euphoric middle section mixes the ruffness of its driving rhythm with the silky smoothness of its melodic overcoat. 'Helpless' is another tech funk masterpiece from Dose which has been competing strongly for A side status since we signed this 12. DJ support from Klute, Teebee, Spectrasoul, Marky, Break, Logistics, Phace, State Of Mind and many more. Watch for the forthcoming Dose full length album in late 2011 on Samurai Music

Solid-Black Compact disc edition for the music lovers and record collectors alike. The first solo-Paradox LP hit the world's record stores after a 9-year album exile. The 'Ramifications LP' is a welcome return to the building blocks of breakbeat wizadry that Paradox built up during his reign at 4-Hero's legendary Reinforced Records and this third artist instalment (and incredibly Mr Pandya's ninth vinyl album overall) is his best studio album to date. You need to cast your minds back to 2002 to dig up the last Paradox long-player with it's collection of Jungle and Breakbeat tempos with a Live P.A. DVD to boot, and the 'Ramifications LP' continues the fashion with razor sharp breaks and grooves ranging from 125 to 172 bpm in classic Paradox style. A sampler 12' [PM021] featuring sampler-only mixes will precede the album and then the full 'Ramifications LP' drops via glorious 3×12' Marble-splattered vinyl.

Spirit delivers his homage to the legendary Amen break, Brother From Another Planet as moody mystical pads and twisted distorted subs give way to a pounding bass hook. Fellow Horseman and Renegade Hardware stalwart, Friske makes his Inneractive debut with a classic dark and heavy thumper in The Storm, loaded with growling subs, echoing stabs and furious beats. Big support from Bailey, Total Science, Raiden, Storm and many more.

Very limited pressing. Over recent months Enei has become one of the most hotly tipped producers in drum and bass. A series of quality releases and sought after dubplates mean he is the name everyones dropping. This release is a special one, due to demand from the people Critical have decided to commit to wax one of Eneis classic roll outs. One Chance is a track that featured on Andy C's Nightlife 5 and was doomed to stay a digital only release. Never one to let the fans down we thought it best to do a highly limited run of white labels. So here it is the future funk of One Chance back with the grimey tech out of Labyrynth with fellow Russian Eastcolors. Pick it up whilst you can....

Kubrak, one half of dynamic production duo Utopia, previously featured on BRD003, with his solo effort 'Fast Forward'. Cementing his name as one of the emerging artists to keep your eye on in 2009, Kubrak has gone one step further to unveil his first solo release on Breed 12 Inches. Yet another Russian (one of 5 to appear so far on Breed's back catalogue), Kubrak captures the industrial movement of his home country, in such a manner that results in a legion of fans. Unrelenting, much like his homeland, his production output is in your face, whilst keeping your feet firmly planted with inventive and progressive melodic based arrangements. We welcome Kubrak back to the family, but most certainly not for the last time. The A-side 'Ursa Major' kicks of in enigmatic fanfare, with hyped strings progressively amounting towards that trademark stomping Kubrak drop. Big, beefy and full of quirky melodies, Kubrak caters for all spectrum's with this dancefloor smasher. The stars are out in full view.Something slightly different from Kubrak on the flipside, with 'Time Moves On'. Kubrak drives the track forward with gorgeous melodies, complete with a sublimely elegant vocal, yet manages to keep his trademark bleeps and drones present. A perfect blend for an artist who can only get better.

Very Limited pressing. A: Side Ulterior Motive 'Featherweight VIP' with the Subtitles logo etched on flip side.

This format is 4X12' Vinyl & 2 X CD packaged together in a gatefold sleeve shrink wrapped. As normal with Exit Records, there's no prejudice in the track selection. Well known producers such as Skream, Instra:mental, Scuba and Commix rub shoulders with some inspiring new talents such as Indigo, Synkro, Mode and Code 3. The theme of the album is quality timeless music, whether it be a dancefloor killer such as System's 'Observation Point' or Loxy & Resound's 'Vertigo' through to the tangerine dreamlike sounds of Crom's 'Invisible Cities' or Stray's 'Pushed'. This album truly represents the more experimental side of Drum n Bass, as opposed to the crash bang wallop that seems to be the only side of Drum n Bass portrayed by the mainstream media today. Hopefully this album will manage to reach the people that thought this forward thinking music was left behind in the nineties, to let them know that it's still alive and well, and still capable of throwing up some surprising and unpredictable results.
