With Survival and Christina Nicola's last outing, 'Secrets', still reverberating through many a club, radio station and podcast and
garnering top reviews across the board, the pair waste no time delivering their next installment, 'Got Me'. Reminiscent of their earlier
work which featured on Survival's self-titled 2008 album for dBridge's Exit Records, Nicola's soft, soulful, vocals are the perfect
anithesis for the rugged, steely breaks and bass that follow. Flipside 'Descendant of the Sun' takes things deeper with a disctinctly
eastern atmosphere complete with flutes, strings and aquatic effects. DJ support: Fabio, Doc Scott, dBridge, Break, DJ Hype, Bailey,
Marcus Intalex, Loxy, Alix Perez, Total Science, Krust, Flight, Silent Witness, Kasra, Zero T...

First 12' Vinyl taken from the new album Vintage. You heard it here first: UTAH JAZZ, D&B's very own 'soul prince' (iDJ magazine), is back - and he's brought only the very best... After two globe-spanning years touring his remarkable debut LP 'IT'S A JAZZ THING', the DJ, producer and remixer extraordinaire returns this summer with his brand new record label and long-playing masterpiece: Finish copies. 'VINTAGE'. Joined by a host of stars - including multi-million selling Royksopp vocalist CHELONIS R JONES, drum & bass legend JONNY L Soul:R's MC DRS and jungle dons the mighty RAGGA TWINS - this matchless funk alchemist is set to break new ground once again - and give dancefloors worldwide yet another premium injection of future-funking soul. Throwaway D&B this is not. This is fine wine matured specially for the head and the feet: rich in spice, sass and soul. Forget the alco-pops and cheap vodka: Utah Jazz deals in VINTAGE. And now, from the man responsible for some of the finestliquid-funk in drum & bass history, comes a brand new LP of original dancefloor gold...Ten years deep into the music and still maturing - classic track by classic track - Utah Jazz is back with his finest crop to date.

Modulations is the proud younger sibling of Critical music launched in 2010. The label got a head start with Lenzman and now brings yet more vacuum-packed freshness, this time from new boy Hybris. An awesome second release for the fledgling imprint that's got people talking throughout the scene. The schedule for Modulations will include artists old and new with each release coming on 10' high grade virgin vinyl in a gorgeous slick housebag. A discerning product for the discerning D&B fan. First up is 'The Cleaner' with sharp drums and that dangerous subliminal, almost toxic bassline. Serving as the perfect accompaniment to 'Raindance' with its thunder cloud atmospherics, it has the electricity, the thickness in the air and delivers the quiet before the stormy drops. The single is a perfecect combination, even meteorologically, and should make any drum and bass connoisseur fidget with anticipation for more from Hybris. 'Raindance' is a hauntingly beautiful take on what we would expect from darkside of drum and bass. The tribal vocals and broken beat percussion make it a tune to be remembered with subtle but sick bass and a fantastic spatial awareness. It shows how less can be so much more with a classy production prowess that many drum and bass veterans still strive for. So hold tight and be prepared to be carried away in the hypnotic magic of 'Raindance'.
DJ support from Logistics, Nutone, Kasra, Alix Perez, Cyantific, Rockwell and more.

Callide has recently been taken under the wing of DnB supremo Andy C. If he's good enough for the godfather then you should definitely be checking out anything he's penned. He's had a steady career, turning heads all along the way. The two tracks on Dreadnought rock, the remix of 'Badboy Sound' fills the a and the flip is a cracker called 'Do That Dance'. Next up on Dreadnought, Zodiac.

The Fokuz Limited imprint is still alive and kicking.. and this time its Fourward who steps up to the plate.. Fresh off their Citrus release and ready to cause more trouble in DnB land.. 'Let Me' is one hell of a uplifting tune.. If your caining the festivals this year then this HAS to be in the bag.. A dancefloor tune that will get great responses all over and most importantly get the girls crazy! Flip it over for 'Don't Stop' for some more heavenly dancefloor tunage! This one is catchy aswel as addicting.. Dont be fooled by the freshness of Fourward cause these guys are a force to be reckoned with!

GTactix drops a sneaky little jungle number on you with the first release on Run Tingz. This features two mixes of 'Badman', uk jungle mix and an amen mix. It also features an array of wicked dj/production tools hidden on the end of side B.

After a stream of big releases on Mainframe and the absolutely massive 'Lightspeed' (with Shimon) on Audio Porn, 2010 is turning into the year of Disaszt. This 12" sees him team up with Kos and Tenchu on the A for 'Raise It Up' and with Konkav for 'Voices'. AK1200 is really sealing the identity of Big Riddims with this 12" and the next release from Body and Soul.

'Daydreams' by Proktah is a fine example of the smooth tech sound that he has become renowned for, it's definitely of the calibre that has got him signed on Close 2 Death and Habit in the past. 'Moon Boot' on the flip sees a return to Have A Break for Mow, with a cinema scape roller, expertley put together.

You know that uneasy feeling you get right before something big happens~ No its not a terrorist attack or an earthquake. Its your good friends Triage and The Bassist bringing yet another ground shattering release on your friendly neighborhood Hollow Point Recordings. Triage The Bassist have been leveling houses for a combined 16 years, so be warned! These tunes are built to completely annihilate dance floors, car systems, laptop speakers, headphones, you name it. We accept no liability for the use or misuse of this product as it is intended for controlled demolitions only. Use at your own risk!

This is an absolute gem from the king of retro-soul dancefloor dynamite, taking 'Summer in the City' and
turning it into a shuffling, sassing, bass-fudged old skool classic. Connoisseurs may proceed directly to the VIP version, which
features vocals from the Pharcyde's 'Passing Me By' that also sampled the original Quincy track back in the early '90s. Nice!9/10i
IDJ Single of the month May 2010.

Two years since his mesmerising debut LP 'It's a Jazz Thing' transported d&b dancefloors across the world back to the halcyon days of early-noughties liquid-funk bliss, the unabashed ambassador of vintage d&b is back doing exactly that: vintage d&b. The template is the same - lavish melodies, spring-fresh beats and unfathomably orginal soul samples - but this history lesson just grew some meaty balls: 'NRG '93' channels the spirit of old-skool hardcore; 'Skyward Bound' threads classic Amen clatter and heavy low-end through sublime '70s guitar loops; and the wrinkle-tastic Ragga Twins jet in to holler magificently over rollicking experimental stepper 'Enter The Jungle'. Experimental steppers~ Utah Jazz~ Believe it - true to form, the renowned party-rocking DJ is quite happy bucking all preconceptions as well as ignoring musical trends, and the results are his best work yet.i DJ album review 9/10.
