These eight brand new versions of Spearhead classics are heavyweight peak of the night anthems. From the hands in the air breakdown of Shock One's rework of 'I Refuse' to the laid back liquid vibes of Utah Jazz's take on Redeyes 'Poetry In Motion', this is the cream of crop.

Black Vinyl edition. In a coup of epic proportions, New Zealand imprint Samurai Red Seal has managed to obtain 4 exclusive tracks from the prolific musical genius that is Ireland's Dominick Martin aka Calibre. In 2009 the third release on Red Seal was a 12' single from Calibre - 'Ringtone'/'Jackoff' (REDSEAL003) which was a massive success with DJs from around the globe. There was only one thing we could think of to follow that up, and that was twice the amount of music. As Calibre's legions of followers will attest the man has endless styles and the 'Judgement Day' EP attempts to capture a different approach with each tune. The title tune 'Judgement Day' features the sultry but potent vocals of Samurai Music's favourite MC/Vocalist DRS, on what can best be described as a stone groove. The vibe gets jagged on the awkward funk of 'Trust', a tune that seemingly wriggles it's rhythm at you! 'Don't Want Your Love' is a tour de force of soulful Drum and Bass, with every element combining into a soaring, rolling groove. Described by fans as possibly Calibre's most powerfully emotive tune to date, we advise staying away from this tune during hangovers or relationship break ups. And finally, a proud dancefloor steam-train with a buzz saw reese, 'Jungle One' has been floating around in the sets of a chosen few for some time now and finally sees a full release. DJ support on this release has been unanimous, with the likes of Marcus Intalex, DJ Hype, LTJ Bukem, dBridge, DJ Friction, Doc Scott, London Elekricity, Spectrasoul, Cyantific, Nu Tone, Commix, Logistics, Lenzman, Jubei and many more!

Following the success of last years ND.TEN LP, one of the standout cuts, 'Anorak', is given a heavyweight reworking by one of the scenes hottest talents, Lynx. Backed with an old school tinged workout from 'man of the moment' Zero T, this is a 12' that offers something for everyone. Detroit based Sinistarr is steadily developing as an artist to watch in 2010, with a whole host of releases penned in on some of the scenes premier labels. Lynx and Zero T, on the back of their respective album success, are steadily planning world domination with their own fledgling imprints. DJ and Radio support from Fabio, DJ Hype, Bailey, and Alix Perez to name a few. Expect forthcoming music on Nu Directions in the summer from The Insiders, Need For Mirrors, Switch and Seba.

Returning sharply to the dancefloor, Nottinghams Soul Intent graces Samurai Music with another 2 potent riddims. 'Be Strong' issues a very timely bit of advice in the vocal department while jagged breaks funk their way into a bass drop that Dillinja would be proud of. The defining feature of the tune however comes midway thru the main section with a rollicking bongo section. This tune seems to have an immortal life on the dancefloor with 'classic' written all over it. 'Point Pleasant' once again opens with Mr Judd's unique reworking of a classic break before dropping into a deep bassline groove that seems to forge classic Full Cycle with some of Reinforced's mid 90~s flava's. Featured on the recent 'Drum and Bass' Anthems Mix Cd compiled by Hospital Records.. Big DJ support on these 2 from Klute, Doc Scott, State Of Mind, Eveson, Crissy Criss, Kool FM, Mistajam & Radio 1~s Huw Stephens.
