Le Jardin des Chemins Bifurquants is the first full length album of Chicago based electronic music artist, producer and DJ Jamal R. Moss. Educated by House legends Adonis and Steve Pointdexter, he's been following a singular musical path, producing a gritty futuristic meltdown of House, Free Jazz, New Age and Noise.
For this record, Jamal worked with the concept of plants having a religion, and the question of what their way of worship would look like. This resulted in a dark deep-space overture with raw synth stabs, extreme pitch-shifted textures and hypnotic tribal rhythms—somewhat reminiscent of Sun Ra's interstellar electric keyboard explorations. Le Jardin des Chemins Bifurquants is an unclassifiable tour de force that is oozing with profound cosmic meaning.
For the artwork we invited visual artist Robert Beatty (of Hair Police fame) whose work has graced the record sleeves of Burning Star Core, Family Battle Snake and Oneohtrix Point Never.

The 6th release on the left_blank imprint, run by acclaimed producer Throwing Snow and cohorts, comes from 25 year old multi instrumentalist James Kelly, who until now has been best known as the sole permanent member and writer behind Irish black metal outfit Altar Of Plagues.

Recorded in Dear's home studio and mixed at Nicolas Vernhes' Rare Book Room studios in Brooklyn, Beams evokes a day-lit dreamworld at once strange and familiar. While the album's dancefloor-ready tempos, major keys, and sun-warmed synths signal Beams as the lighter, brighter response to its predecessor, closer inspection reveals a squirming mass of oddball details. Dear's latest productions on Beams creak and groan like anxious organisms, with slivers of guitar, electric bass, and drum kit darting in and out among the synths and samples.

anniversary edition of the record that 'The Delia Debyshire Of The Atari Generation' regards as her finest hour with this internationally exhaulted commercial debut 'Seven Waves' from 1982, which became popular in Japan first, then the US and the rest of the world.

_moonraker is a continually evolving musical conversation that longs for escape from terrestrial constraints. The human participants in this machine dialogue are Great Circles mainstay Jason Carr, and kenneth_lay, who is also one half of metasplice. _moonraker's m-type 12" features extractions from a lengthy recording session held in Philadelphia, documenting their fearless approach to live improv and hypnotic programming. The dirt, hiss and subterranean kicks of the basement aesthetic are juxtaposed with massive drones and cosmic synth movements. With the audio mastered by RJ Valeo and lacquers cut by Dietrich Schoenemann, this 12" brings the deepest sounds for the darkest lunar voyages.

The same people behind Emotional Rescue launch as fine sister imprint in the shape of Emotional Rescue, with a near perfect insight into how the label will operate thanks to Nzambi - a quite stunning full length album from Jason Letkiewicz under his Alan Hurst moniker. If you consider yourself an avid purchaser of vinyl, you will no doubt have added some Letkiewicz heat to your collection in recent times, with excellent releases as Steve Summers and Innergaze in recent times. The Alan Hurst project sees the Brooklyn producer in more laid back form, indulging his passion for library sounds and experimental electronics with just as much aplomb. Allegedly commissioned to soundtrack a film on modern Haitian Voodoo, Nzambi is a woozily intoxicating thirteen track set that opens your senses to a true darkness in this producer's palette of sounds that's not really been explored before.

Composing an entire electronic album around the notorious 15th Century Cult Of Assassins, New Jersey based producer Jorge Velez (Italians Do It Better, Thisnotanexit), better known as Professor Genius, has created a unique and ambitious piece of work, under the guise of Hassan, which strongly stands apart from his previous efforts. Check!
Largely based around layered atmospheric Arabic-styled synth work and sparse percussion throughout, Hassan employs an entirely electronic palette to bring listeners into a secret world filled with darkness, drama, triumph and chaotic dissonance.

'Global fusion' is a term coined in 1980's to describe the postmodern transnational mixtures between different cultural heritages. Like Pizza Americana or Peter Gabriel's recordings with Pakistani Sufi singers.

If we adapt the term, we can wholeheartedly say that music can't actually get much more global than it is here on Ya Tosiba's debut ep. On this splendid piece of black wax produced by Finnish skweee pioneer Mesak and sung by Azerbaijan-Norwegian ethnomusicologist/rapper Dj Zuzu you'll find a wide spectrum of influences ranging from Arabic folk music to electro funk and modern R'n'B.

On Mad Barber and Baku Hipster heavy electronic drum beats are high fiving bubbling analogue synthesizers and traditional eastern instruments, deliciously topped with Dj Zuzu's hypnotic Azerbaijani rapping. Bizarre, yet beautiful: Music that is equally suitable for dischoteques and home listening. The fantastic remixes on this record are provided by the legendary German synthesizer visionaries Mouse on Mars and the Turkish masters of mesmerizing psychedelia, Baba ZuLa.

It has been said that the development of communication technology obscures forms of music and increases musical homogeneity and blurring of regional identities. We at Harmonia Records don't believe in that type of gibberish. And we definitely don't think it's necessarily a bad thing for the world to play music together. Jaki Liebezeit and Ian Tregoning present the debut album by MAGNETIKNORTH - 'evolver' MAGNETIKNORTH is a fusion of live drums, acoustic instruments and electronic sequencing. Drum performances are fed through processors, samplers and sequencers to produce layers of rhythmic patterns that interact with each other. The sounds from other instruments are melted into different textures so that only the harmonic content remains. This is a new project from IAN TREGONING, engineer and producer for artists as diverse as YELLO and FELA KUTI. Now working with JAKI LIEBEZEIT, the legendary drummer from CAN, to add his endless evolving rhythms. Jaki's in a world of his own as he balances technical brilliance with subtle restraint. Recording started in the Summer 2006 in an old jazz studio in the south of Köln. Jaki arrived with a minimal drum kit including customised cymbals, a snare and a huge Gretsch floor-tom from the CAN days. All of Jaki's performances are 'complete takes' with no drop-ins, loops or edits. Other guest musicians include LEE HARRIS from TALK TALK - a long-term fan of Jaki's, to add his explosive percussion. The backing tracks were recorded without key changes. Each song features one key held continuously while other instruments and effects are blended with that key. The idea, similar to drone theory, is to get away from chord progressions common in Western music. Drums (also tuned to the same key) were added last which is another unusual technique. As Jaki says 'they're often overlooked as tuned instruments in their own right'. The finished results are a hypnotic blend of industrial, classical, Krautrock and Detroit electronica. Like listening to a 'raga in an earthquake'. Live dates in London are planned for later in the year.

There are some artists who lock themselves up in the studio to be able to really express their art in producing electronic music. Ken Karter is one of these artists. In this second EP you can understand how much talent, ingenuity and experience can be hidden in a life of 'encryption'. Here he shows four tracks where he goes from pure electronic music to the most advanced and sophisticated techno. Remarkable is the track that is featured by the singer FeX. High quality!

'Deltas' is his fifth album, and first on vinyl Campo Del Cielo (2012 - 17'30) Commissioned by Espace Mendes France for a performance at The Planetarium in Poitiers, France, diffused on a 8 channel system. The sound material is exclusively derived and processed from stones recordings. The first part, Aerolite (flying stone) is mainly based on « aerial » field recording of stone manipulations. The second part, Baetylus (sacred stone) is made with electromagnetic capture of meteorite resonances. This meteorite was part of the Campo Del Cielo site. Deltas (2012) "Whenever the volume of water is so great as to counteract and almost neutralize the force of tides and currents, and in all cases where the latter agents have not sufficient power to remove to a distance the whole of the sediment periodically brought down by rivers, deltas are produced." A Guest + a Host (2011- 12'29) Commissioned for Ina-GRM's Retro/Actif at La Gaîte Lyrique, Paris, France. Originally displayed on 16 channels, this work is exclusively composed with non-processed and original sounds made with the legendary Coupigny Modular Synth housed in the Groupe de Recherches Musicales' studios. Future Nuggets is a collective from Bucharest (Romania), they operate out of two studios filled will analogue equipment which we first visited18 months ago. We were blown away with the "all hands to the deck" ethos and without knowing; they had created a music making scene with which all members could experiment and help each other on their own musical journeys.Every piece of kit at the studio was hardwired for instant use, which to my ears gives the music of the Future Nuggets a real edge so we decided to help get this music to a wider audience. This is just the tip of the iceberg so join us on the quest to dispel the myth that is limitation!

The enigmatic Heatsick's CasioTones evolve over this EP with the inclusion of accompanying drum machine (something we haven't heard in his productions before) - four focused tracks that express the overload from stimuli and expansion from time space compression...label art by jean-michel wicker .. With the three-piece band The Von Duesz, electro-organic music from Germany gets a
projectile which taps the pulse of the age. Animating the monotony of minimalist electronic
music with errors, improvisation and physical energy, their "Dancekraut" becomes the
soundtrack to plunge, turn around and start to shake.
We are looking forward to the new album GARANT, to be released in September 2012.
Beforehand, the two DL singles DIESEL and THE WORST HAS YET TO COME will be

The parameters of musical possibility are vast on Valgeir Sigurðsson's third LP; Architecture of Loss. The music flows from no 'notes' at all to lyrical, folk-like melody, from spare, acoustic sound to dense digital intervention. Originally composed for the same titled ballet by Stephen Petronio. Architecture of Loss is a powerful work in its own right in which Valgeir works from a broad palette of absences.
The performers were handpicked from trusted Bedroom Community regulars: in addition to Valgeir himself and composer/keyboardist Nico Muhly, the album features classical violist Nadia Sirota - her sound is as deeply individual and immediately recognizable as the sound of her speaking voice and takes full possession of the notes on the page—and multi- instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily - a secret weapon of a sideman who excels at exactly the things you can't put down on paper, from solid grooves to scribbles of noise.

Castratii are a paradox, a wonderful vision of a life that might have been, and still could be. Enveloping shrouds of ambient musical strands, woven together into a swinging bridge that hangs over a chasm of endless possibility. Created and constructed from one Australian summer to the next, the creation of their debut long-player Eora persisted through the extremities of the Australian bush; heat, humidity, cold, and rain to create a singular document vast and mysterious as the landscape it was created for. A lucid journey that takes place mostly through the darkness, the tension and foreboding atmospheres looming tie together Castratii's first long-player of witchy doom pop. Heavy one moment, channeling a drone and pulse into the concise framework of electronic pop of the more industrial persuasion, while at other times, it's easy to get lost in their sustaining, enveloping ambient sprawl. Inspired by their remote surroundings and paralleling it to our own individual desolation caused by the internal dialogue within all of us, Eora aims to sonically and lyrically map this wilderness.

Following up after the mental drop by Detroit's Master of Repetition, Population One, we have a new signing hailing from the Land of the Rising Sun, helping us to set the standards for this new imprint— uncompromised techno funk! Japanese producer Imugem Orihasam has spent the past 3 years slowly evolving. His early work on Ilian Tape and Esperanza sounds like that of an already seasoned craftsman digesting Detroit bit by bit, with a focus on lush textures and swooning eerie melodies.

No Logo is a special collaboration between Steve Miller, the super producer behind downtempo sensation Afterlife and renowned, versatile DJ and long standing Mambo, Ibiza resident Pete Gooding. following their debut on Melodica last year with a Balaeric cover of Eurythmics classic this City Never Sleeps, the duo return to the label as promised for a startlingly accomplished full length.the album kicks off with the aptly titled 'Darkstar,' brooding warm atmospherics and a punchy breakbeat ride the track until the breakdown, with plenty of synth accents to keep interest high. Welcome to the musical world of EPROM: a world of deliriously psychedelic productions that offer a glimpse into the future, today. Metahuman is EPROM's debut album for Dutch label Rwina and ahead of its release comes Regis Chillbin a two-track single featuring a remix by the omnipresent yet always on point Machinedrum.
Regis Chillbin is hip hop for the year 2050. Resting on a bed of a chest pounding bass drums cartoonish bleepy melodies fly across the sonic spectrum while piercing snare rushes, pitched toms, modulated basslines and vocal samples take their turns to create an irresistible swagger that leaves listeners unable to not move their feet, nod their head and swerve their bodies to the rhythm. A centrepiece of EPROM's live sets, Regis Chillbin is pure unadulterated dancefloor fun.
Machinedrum continues his own time-hopping work on the remix, looking at the past to shape the future. He leaves the core rhythmic backbone intact and uses it to build his own delirious dancefloor workout bringing in snippets of UK rave from circa 1992 in the shape of ominous stabs blended with more delirious samples including some of the original bleeps as well as air horns, scratch sounds, and animal sounds. Manipulating all these throughout Machinedrum creates a beautiful sonic hysteria. All you need to do is close your eyes and loose yourself in the madness.
