1968's Fly Me To The Moon was Womack's first solo long-player, after a decade of forging a singular path as R&B morphed into soul music, first with the Sam Cooke-sponsored Valentinos, and subsequently as a songwriter and guitarist for the likes of Wilson Pickett. Indeed, the album features Womack's version of Pickett's 'Midnight Mover,' along with very groovy interpretations of 'California Dreamin'' (a small hit at the time),' 'Moonlight In Vermont,' and the title cut. But it is the singers own superlative material - 'What Is This,' 'Somebody Special,' 'Take Me' - that shines best on this fantastic debut, produced by the estimable Chips Moman at his American Studios facility in Memphis, utilizing one of the finest session crews in southern soul.

‘I Feel How This Night Should Look’ is an album with a phenomenal backstory. It spans back over a decade back to when Tom and Danny first met in 2008 and produced the ten tracks over an intensive two year period following the birth of Psychemagik. It was recorded at a number of esteemed locations primed for sonic craft including Kate Bush’s old workspace, George Martin’s Air Studios Lyndhurst Hall, where the duo recorded a seventeen piece string section and Toe Rag Studios recording drums onto tape.
This album is a true labour of love. The first taste of the album comes via first track, the effortlessly smooth and immediately deep ‘We Can Be One’ feat. Quinn Lamont Luke.

This brand new and first official reissue ever contains the now classic modern soul dancer 'Not About That (Show Me Some Respect)' alongside some very attractive ballad material for the more dedicated soul fans. The elusive Van Jones from Pughsville, VA continued to record - as he did since 1976 - several 7' and 12' singles into the decade. But this highly sought after album from 1981 is widely considered as the definitive moment in his short though fruitful recording career. - Marc Janssen

Melodies are repeated until they reach their breaking point. Moments of relief are drowned out in densely packed sound. Intensity is maximized to the nth degree, creating a crest point that threatens to overwhelm pre-existing traces of activity completely.

The opening track 'To Live Tenderly Anew' begins with a fragile melody, only to erupt into pulsating synthesizer figures that continuously expand, before pulverizing into sharp, noise-flecked fragments, and finally dissolving into an ambient pad. Midway-through 'The Logic of a Secret', the music finally sparks into Furtherset's signature arpeggio patterns, sprinting over a powerful bassline. The album finally climaxes with 'Choirs of Deception and Truth', a beatless rave hymn, before it, too, dissolves into deep space. Using only synthesizers, Furtherset creates metamorphic music, drawing on ambient, modern classical and rave, and building on his individual approach to composition, where long fades and periodic cuts continuously transform the scene.

The album's title references Amelia Rosselli's 1956 poem 'Diario in tre lingue', in which the experimental writer - who was born in exile in Paris, moved to the UK after the murder of her anti-fascist activist father, was educated in the US and finally settled in Rome - charts relations between the Italian, the French & the English. This poem laid the groundwork for her singular trilingual poetry, a body of work engaged in the research of tradition, and how tradition is passed on in disjointed manifestations.

Gee Bag (3 x EOW Champion) compliments the track with a spot of storytelling over a piano infused canvas with beautiful live maracas also splashed here and there alongside a jazzy bass line. With Jazz T on cutting duties and production as well as Gee Bag displaying his versatile mic skills is the icing on the cake. Born into a family of artists and musicians Jacob Otten began playing piano and drums at age 5 after hearing his grandfathers Duke Ellington record and trying to replay "C-Jam Blues". From that first pivotal moment Jacob- known as Kid Sublime- has since devoted his heart and soul to all things music. From his early days drumming in Hardcore Punk bands to touring the world with Brazillian band Zuco 103 and working in the infamous record store Fat Beats, he quickly laid down a strong and solid foundation to build his career as a producing musician and Disc Jockey.

After trying out an Akai MPC 60 in the late 90's, Kid Sublime got hooked to the machine and a few years later he released his first House 12", "Tea For Two" which was later re-edited by Francois K. He then crafted a myriad of future soul classics for Dutch label Kindred Spirits like his 'Basement Soul' album. From House anthems on his own 'Ballroom Radio Records' imprint that have rocked dance floors all over the world, to Japan only albums that where so hot that the legendary BBE records re-released them so that more ears could hear KS's unmistakable sound. A true master of his craft, "Straat Coach" an opus of sorts, is his first full blown Dutch Rap album, humorous and witty but backed by insane 'bang it in ya jeep' style beats.

Samm Culley is an R&B, soul & funk keyboard player and a dope songwriter. His music career started within the band Tiny Tim & The Hits with Tom Price & Bill Collier. This trio soon left Tiny to form their own group The Diplomatics with Irving Waters as the lead singer. They later on became the legendary Skull Snaps.

Over the years, Samm co-produced and/or played with many unforgettable famous artists such as Hot Chocolate, The Fatback Band, George Kerr, Patrick Adams, Vaughan Mason, Reggie Griffin, De-De, Van Mc Coy, Lloyd Price & even later in Hip Hop music with Marley Marl or Freddie Foxxx.

“Let It Go” brings you back in 1970 with a great killer dance floor track for Bboys and soul lovers: the dru break is hot and on the same time, the guitar hook and bassline make you feel James Brown on the scene. Close your eyes and easily imagine John Shaft dancing on “Soul Makossa”.

Without warning, a group of young girls from a remote region of Benin is shaking up the world of garage rock with breathtaking freshness, ingenuity and energy, playing spot-on, loud and clear.

A musician named André Baleguemon decided to form an exclusively female band rooted in the concerns of its time. He puts the spotlight on the guitar, drums and keyboard, instruments he has admired since his childhood, symbols of modernity in this remote region. His observation is simple: “In the North, girls have no room to advance and women are put aside. I simply wanted to show the importance of women in the societies of North Benin by forming a female orchestra “.
On July 25th, 2016, with the support of the city of Natitingou, André launched a press release on Nanto FM offering to help train girls in music for free. A few days later, dozens of aspiring musicians showed up at the Youth Center. “The girls who came didn’t know anything about music. The girls quickly became passionate about their new musical activities, learning how to play drums, guitar, piano and sing vocal harmonies. Their progress was astounding. An intense work of musical training took place, starting with drum workshops, their favorite instrument. Angelique and Urrice on drums and vocals, assisted by Marguerite, the third drummer.
