It is truly a family affair over at 7 Days Entertainment. Butterbandz, the youngest son of 7 Days Entertainment label head Big Strick, gives us his debut EP titled Legacy. This freshman EP of the youngest of the Strickland clan is nothing short of what you would expect from a family member deeply rooted in dance music from Detroit. The first song off of the EP is a vocal track from BBZ with help from the artist Marc, who is a rising vocal talent from Detroit associated with the 7 Days imprint. If You Don’t Dance is slated to be an anthem among the scene for years to come. It evokes you to get out there and move your body. It brings the energy from start to finish with excited high hats, a grumpy bass and an admirable synth pattern. Things slow down for a more relaxed groove on Free Roaming, a laid back chiller with a smooth synth and a mellow bass of pure delight. Its reverbed synths take you on a never-ending journey through your own mind. Hellraiser is a straight high-octane pure adrenaline rush. It has the soul of true Detroit techno. The unforgiving drum and percussion pattern shines brightly over an acid bass line and catchy synth keys. The last song on the debut EP, Monkey See, closes the project out with a bang. An offset drum knocks on top of an offset synth and warm pianos. The flute is complementary and the percussion ties it all together nicely. A new label, run by an old head, Paul Wise aka Placid is the driving force behind ‘We’re Going Deep’. Known to many who inhabit the realms of underground House and Techno, the imprint sprang to life at the tail end of 2020 from his hugely popular Facebook community under the same banner.

Born out of a lifelong affair with the many shades of deep electronic rhythms, coupled with a thirst for collecting records since 1988, Paul’s mission is all about sharing and releasing new music for the dance floor, front room or even just your headphones. Rather than staying hung up on the past, his reputation for digging into the annals Acid, Electro, Techno, Deep House alongside the odd slice of Downtempo precedes him, as he readies the third WGD volume for release.

Bubbling up with another 4 track EP comprised of cuts from equally brilliant artists, the opening shots are fired on Side A with the unmistakeable sounds of Moy “Ouroboros”. A finely crafted slice of robotic acid funk entices you into the wilds and waves of moody 303 action as machines collide with precision accuracy. Bringing you back to a calmer vision and seas of tranquilty, Rekab aka James Baker’s “Summer Dreams” demonstrates just how blissful ambience and slowing the pace in these testing times can soothe the soul. Leading Side B, fans of Chi-town grooves will not be disappointed with Garrett David’s “Cruisin Through”. A Smart Bar resident and Gramaphone Records employee, he’s no stranger to sumptuous jackin’ edged house jams packed full of bouncing beats. Blending an irresistible rump funking groove to synth-led melodics that build and build, the total sum of these parts will not fail to get you out of your seat. Signing off in style, Moody Waters takes us into hypnotic house territory as low slung beatdown vibes meet mysterious atmospheres and vocal fx, emerging from the haze of that 5am smog that all too often glazes your inner mind.

Emile Facey, maybe better known as Plant43, is releasing his next album, Scars Of Intransigence on Dutch label Shipwrec. An associate of labels like CPU, Semantica, the late Ai Records and Frustrated Funk, Emile has been producing since 2006 and has released more than 70 tracks, equally inspired by the 80's electro of his youth and the Drexcyian sounds of the 90's. Emile is also a graphic designer and co-founder of bleep43, an electronic music site and underground techno/electro party. As such and as a designer, Emile has a strong artistic vision and that plays out in this carefully crafted album, which has been written as a coherent story that unfolds from start-to-finish and comes complete with artwork designed by the man himself, in collaboration with German photographer Jurgen Heckel. Rather than being purely a collection of DJ tools, Scars Of Intransigence has also been made with the home listening experience in mind so that the album works in both contexts equally well. Says the man himself: "I try to express my emotions and feelings though the mood of my music, images and song titles, and Scars Of Intransigence captures some of the anger, sadness and hope I feel in relation to the state of the world we live in today. The scars are those inflicted by governments who seem hell-bent on perpetuating a world reliant on fossil fuels where elitism, privatisation and vast personal wealth thrive at the cost of other people, animals and our environment." Kicking off with 'Dormant Technology', a liquid electro funk is set in motion immediately. From there the tempo drops into the doleful and sombre 'Unnamed Resistance' before 'Cavernous Bones' explores deeply emotive electro, 'Fire Burning Inside' demonstrates Emile's ability to programme a hugely resonant synth line and 'The Coldest Rule' then comes on like a dystopian vision of an unsettled underwater world. 'Wounding Words' is a tentative track that is imbued with a real musicality as well as ponderous sense of cerebral charm and closing tracks 'Emerald Abyss' and 'Pale Reflection' are fantastic offerings that glow with a retro charm at the same time as pushing electro well into the future. Scars Of Intransigence is a thoughtful and accomplished album that stays with you long after it has finished playing and is Plant43's most complete artistic statement to date.

Brooklyn-based musician and producer Varsity Star makes his Small Pond Records debut with ‘More Than Anything’, a mini-album of deeply moving and emotive electronic music.

Varsity Star is an electronic musician and upright bassist who grew up in Boston and spent time playing with various bands as a multi-genre sideman. After deciding to go it alone and produce music on a synth and Ableton, he had a spell living in Berlin. Now back in Brooklyn, he has become a prolific artist who, in just a couple of years, has put out various singles, remixes and LPs. As a programmer by day, he has put together high spec live shows involving 3D printers, soldering together LEDs and writing his own programs that read Ableton and output light patterns, he is a truly creative mind.

There is a soft and warm late-night melodic glow to the beautiful opening ambiance of 'Christmas Lights' which then makes way for the prickly live drums of 'Mixtape.' Littered with off-grid hits and detuned synth sounds, it's a modern and electronic take on jazz that is deeply absorbing. 'Bedroom' is a gorgeous affair that floats on airy pads and scuffed up, organic drum sounds while the most innocent of melodies play out.

Portraying the best moment in someone's life after a gig at the infamous Papaya Playa Project, Smallville records associate Snad, delivers a skippy and irresistible MPC jam that makes one want to whistle along. The baroque effect and element of Voon's music is a given. The Italian duo made that clear with Rose in Japan and is able to repeat the trick with Brando. Like Rondo Veneziano at a rave, it's larger than life and happily jumping over the inhibition gate of restraint. Finally, Lukas Lehmann takes the boiling pot off the stove. Extending their branches once more, the System Error brand presents their latest offshoot - Party Bombs. A catalogue which will be dedicated to the peak times of the night, covering various strains of what they may entail. Looking to find a consistent spot in the record bags of the party starters amongst us.

The opening track by Oshana, “Everlast”, boasts nostalgic synths, and an energetic drum arrangement , inaugurating the Party Bombs Various Artists Series with a dynamite production. Sitting comfortably as the A2 is “Party Bass”, a debut outing for DJ Stroboscope who some might know under different names, an artists shrouded in mystery only illuminated by the stroboscope flashing through the thick fog covering the peak time dancefloor, a chunky slab of dancefloor chemistry, consisting of a winding sub bass, and direct drive from the word go.

On the flip side, Obsidian steps up with a playful and animated groove in “Hall 46”, smooth sunshine sounds cruising the openair party into fifth gear. The ice cold hip hop vocal samples bring all of the characteristics of the track together. Closing proceedings is a slinky and enthusiastic power house track from Magic Doz. “With You” presents raw old school elements with a modern day twist.

Despite the many years still ahead of him, Rone has already come a long way, being one of the most acclaimed young French musicians on the electronic scene.

of light and his powerful liveset has been appreciated from Sonar Festival to Panorama Bar. Three years have passed since the release of 'Spanish Breakfast' and now his next album, 'Tohu-Bohu' (hurly-burly), is coming out 5th November 2012 via InFiné.

Live At Robert Johnson introduces SIRS to its artist roster, with a two-track laid-back Balearic disco EP, reducing the tempi to bring on a nicely crafted and floating cosmic groove. Arrived EP kicks off with Keep Forgetting, a laid-back and slowly evolving cosmic vibe, which lets you forget the daily routines and hardships for a while. On the flip-side, Junee widens the Balearic panorama with added pads, uptempo beats, and a heart-warming synth line. Available digital-only, Call Me turns a notion of long-distance longing into a punchy downbeat, with floating chords and melodies building into a labour-of-love tune. Daniel Klein aka SIRS (read: Sounds In Real Stereo) has come a long way since getting acquainted with electronic sounds in the 1980s and into DJing just a decade later, inspired by the early Hamburg gay scene. His mid-Nineties relocation to Ibiza and Mallorca has clearly informed SIRS’ productions and overall style, which features on many remixes and co-productions, as well as his own tracks and label SIRSOUNDS.

Beginning in 2008, Nathan Taylor produces techno and DJs under the alias “Sponge Bath,” creating his own space for rhythmic sound design, straight forward DJ tools, and an unabashed love of the more psychedelic and experimental sides of music intended for the club, dancing, and the mix. Based in Carrboro, North Carolina, he has spent the better part of a decade learning, gigging, and DJing throughout the region. Previously, he’s released recordings on Tonelog Records, Grovl Tapes, New Body Tapes, and Acid Etch Recordings.

“Tributary,” his first double vinyl release, contains seven tracks of hardware techno, recorded over the span of three years in his home studio and intended for the working DJ to use and abuse in service of the dance floor. The record exists as a small link-in-the-chain of American dance music, paying tribute to those who pioneered the sound of the underground dancefloor. 100% respect and gratitude to the elders, the trailblazers, the unknowns who’ve paid the price and continue on.

Kompakt welcomes 2021 with a new member that many of you will recognise. For over 3 decades, Orlando Voorn has been a force in dance music like few others. One of the first Dutch producers to establish a connection between Detroit and Amsterdam (check “Game One” his collaboration with Juan Atkins for Metroplex). He has recorded under a trove of alias that include Fix, Frequency, Format to name a few.

Orlando Voorn brings his extensive knowledge of Techno and House to the forefront for his Kompakt debut “Internal Destination”. We offer up the title track ahead of the 3 track EP’s February 19 release date. Spacial sounds connect perfectly together – the playfulness of the track feels like each moment is caught in mid-air but the beat keeps it all moving forward without hesitation. “Ride The Wave” rounds out this EP – an electro loop is serenaded by a funked up synth melody that jams to the drum in the most soulful of ways.

Albums often try to evoke a time and place, few manage to do that with such startling effect as the unlikely collaboration, Leave the Bones, between the multi-generational Haitian band Lakou Mizik, and Grammy-winning electronic music artist Joseph Ray. “Haiti'' is a word that conjures up a lot of images, it is a country judged by many, most of whom have never set foot on its shores. But its history is rich, its people proud and defiant, and nowhere is that more evident than in its music. Culture is what defines the country - its drums and Vaksins (traditional horns) are symbols of freedom and pride, liberty and struggle, and represent the escapist joy of dancing. Leave the Bones paints a musical portrait, a fresh glimpse of an oft misrepresented country, that through Vodou chants, chest-pounding Rara dance tunes and contemporary protest songs, conveys the listener to Haiti’s spiritual heart, a place that remains a compelling mystery for foreigners and a source of pride for every Haitian.

For its sixth release, the Madrid-based label N2MU presents an eight-track Various Artists compilation featuring Ivna Ji, Teslasonic, and Larionov among others. A gathering of renowned artists able to convey a homogeneous music message without losing sight of their creative individual characters.

As in the latest N2MU release, Xergio Córdoba (Eternal Midnight Mastering Studio) has been in charge of mastering duties, while the Galician visual artist, Plástica, has created the artwork for the project.

LTM presents a limited double vinyl gatefold edition (500 copies only) of B9, the definitive collection of cold wave and minimal electronica from Belgium, recorded between 1979 and 1983.
Originally released on Sandwich Records in May 1981, B9 featured 10 exclusive tracks by luminaries such as Digital Dance, Polyphonic Size, Kid Montana, Pseudo Code and Prothese, the latter the first recording project by Daniel Bressanutti of Front 242. Now digitally remastered, with 10 additional tracks on the second disc, this new deluxe vinyl edition also features Front 242, The Names, Marine, Siglo XX, The Neon Judgement, Berntholer, Allez Allez, Isolation Ward and more.

Krystal Klear presents Cyclia One! Informed by Jim Henson’s psychedelic and cinematic nightclub fantasy of the late 1960’s, which was supposed to be the entertainment of the future and the theatre of the year 2000, the man who brought you „Neutron Dance“ also dives deeper into his own universe. Starting with „Entre Nous“(that also is keeping the tradition of debuts in Gerd Janson Boiler Room videos) and following the uplifting piano path, while applying the thumbscrews of happiness, it’s easy to imagine bursting oversized lava lamps. The despair of turtleneck existentialism on the other hand, which was still of importance in Jim Henson’s heyday, penetrates every fibre of „Autobahn“- disoriented drivers included. „I’ll Be There When You Need Me“is the cloud with the silver lining that renders every philosophical debate useless: life is great! Nothing less could be said about „Gambino “: mid tempo beatnik boogie. Even though Henson’s vision never became a reality, Cyclia One would probably make him happy. And if not, we can still dance, if we want to.

Long term Seven Hills friend and collaborator Thee J Johanz returns to wax for the third instalment of our original release series.

This release runs close to the heart for Johanz as it was produced in the wake of his mother’s passing and stands as a profoundly personal eulogy for loved ones passed. Where Goes Your Soul? has all the trademark spiralling synth lines and hypnotic rhythm making that we have come to love in Johanz’s music making.

The title track of the EP: Where Goes Your Soul? stands alone on the A side but carries more than enough weight to hold its own. Stabbing synths build alongside a subtly haunting vocal, up to an awesome crescendo and intoxicating groove. Kicking off the B side is Two C Bee, an aptly psychedelic mix of soft pads and helical synth arpeggios. The EP closes with an impressive bubbling analogue landscape, Analex. This beat-less masterpiece with a sincerely cinematic feel, rounds things off in style.

Schneider is a Freiburg based duo that tells those everyday stories everyone has already experienced.

The beat sure is broken, the bass guitar punches, the old school piano thumps and the whole thing sounds like an amazing Andrew Weatherall remix from the mid 90's you never knew existed.

AGT Records return to their Editions series with the reissue of a sizzling 4-tracker from Stabilizer. Originally released in 2001 on Boom Box records, its sound is a scintillating hybrid of breakbeat and electro and a prime example of the glory days of the early 2000’s breaks scene.

As electrifying breakbeats pound away beneath clinical high-hats and percussion, each track has its own personality and character. Mysterious samples and melodies are used to powerful effect, creating a sense of intrigue in amongst the beats. They are expertly placed and relieve the pressure of the tracks at just the right time, allowing the dancefloor to stay locked in, head down.

While all of this is going on, rolling basslines create warm grooves that keep things pushing forwards, the chunky bass weight balancing with the ice-cold elements above.

This record captures the hedonistic spirit of the rave from two decades ago, and with things beginning to open up again that feeling is due a return to the dancefloors. Moving from the living room to the main room, it feels right to get this one back into circulation, all in good time.

The latest edition of Gator Boots is a split 12' with edits that cut straight to the dancefloor.

On the A Side Boston's Trip Report pays R.E.S.P.E.C.T. with an acid workout. On the flip G Markus freaks a dancehall classic with some more acid and smooths out a forgotten 2000's r&b gem.

Outer Gateways is the culmination of twenty years of friendship and countless years of anger, frustration, sadness, obsession, addiction, bad sleep, and poor mental health. The cycle of these feelings didn’t begin twenty years ago, and it won’t end in 2020, but the friendship began in the desert and won’t end this year, either, for two brothers - Gary Geiler and Kevin Palmer - who share concussions, floating head hauntings, bouts of self-deprecation and, most strongly, white hot anger towards those who bulldoze for a buck and a Black Friday piss-up. They are friends who make music to fight a failing future, not for an optimist’s sake, but to quiet their anxieties for a moment of sleep before the alarm clock drags the shit back into focus.

BOA is a brotherhood formed through almost classically cinematic settings: desert drives to pick up a small town’s Wire magazine; skating soundtracked by Public Enemy, Godflesh, Adrian Sherwood and No U Turn; copies of Burroughs, Ballard, Bradbury, and Borges traded between backwoods parties and band practices. A connection unharmed by circumstance and strengthened by time lays the groundwork for a creative, emotional exchange delivered in bass weight and Chronic forms.

Twenty years of the above (and way beyond) led to a release on Seagrave in 2015, before hunkering down to fine-tune their collaboration into the eight tracks contained within Outer Gateways. (The preceding 12”, SUS033, features material recorded after the completion of the album; Mosca’s remix pulls from sounds contained within the album.)

Kevin and Gary - who produce as Best Available Technology and Ovis Aurum, respectively - cast sonics to curse oil barons with rapid dick decay. Sound-making stops time as it silences the anger, focusing fatherly / brotherly frustrations towards those who hate unconditionally, who destroy without compassion, who desecrate for their own sakes and spit upon our futures. A tool to fight eco-anxiety and a map to chart the next twenty years, Outer Gateways is sonics proper operated like heavy machinery.

BOA's Outer Gateways LP will be available on vinyl LP & digital, with 100 limited edition copies housed in heavy-duty black jackets screen-printed in glimmering metallic gold.

Having persuaded Flamingods to DJ at an East London food bank fundraiser (£7k raised for Eat or Heat), Byrd Out hounded them to produce a remix EP of their 2017 Kewali EP, bringing together a team of intriguing artists. Erol Alkan's co-conspirator in Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve, Richard Norris takes 'Mixed Blessings' in a more a dancefloor friendly direction; Liverpool 3 piece Stealing Sheep paint a hypnotic gloss on the title track, bringing out the colours in a downtempo sunrise of a remix, made for 6am; The Quietus' darlings Vanishing Twin's remix starts at a run and carries on from there, most obviously absorbing the Middle Eastern vibe. The EP is a step forward at a time when the world seems bent on looking backwards. Artwork by James Burgess, mastered by the legendary Noel Summerville.

The latest sonic output of artist-producer-dj-polymath Moonbow comes served in the form o

f a 12” vinyl on West Friends: the imprint spearheaded by South London’s Rye Wax & FYI Chris. After three years of quietly producing, Moonbow’s name is most familiar within the London nightlife scene, where — alongside their work within SIREN collective — they are known for their colourful DJ sets & mixtapes, leading to a mention in Crack Magazine’s “Top 10 Mixes of 2018”, guest mixing on Rinse FM and contributing to Honey Soundsystem’s mix series. These sonic tapestries are an exercise in storytelling that is at once euphoric and melancholic, whilst delving into both the old and new. Often known to make an appearance are chopped 'n' spliced vocals, silky psychedelic melodies, and bass vibrations so heavy that no nearby drinks are safe from spillage.

These characteristics can certainly be found on BNND WDTH, where the A-side is a tense build up of transcendental textures and rhythms that moves ever closer towards the dance floor compared to Moonbow’s earlier releases. On the side B, Discwoman affiliate and Toronto’s favourite one-to-watch Ciel takes the helm on a psychedelic breaks rework (one you may have seen many an “ID?” for in that Crack Magazine mix from SIREN DJs).

Excavated from a now lost cassette, 'CRG77' is a series of improvisations conceived of little sleep and minimal natural light. Perhaps best described as the sonic equivalent of a strong indica, contorted dance music under the influence of a forty year old echo pedal. Hidden Village is a new London based label with no agenda and no direction. Created by R.ess 048, a pseudonym for members of a well known South London crew who wish to remain nameless and were behind one of last year's most forward thinking underground releases. 'CRG77' is an after hours excursion into the deepest depths of the weed-box. Comes with ultra-Lo-Fi A4 b&w insert designed by one of the crew. Punk as fuck. Mining the same dusted plains as fellow travellers SVN, Madteo, Sex Tags, Regelbau etc etc

Ryota O.P.P aka Ryota Arai delivers his debut album 'Pale Lux' for Meda Fury.
Ryota is based in Tokyo - at the nexus of the Japanese house / future disco scene, alongside cohorts such as Cos/Mes, Inoue Shirabe, and KZA he blends eastern mysticism, jazz spirituality, and cosmic disco with classic 4:4 rhythms.
A highly respected DJ, promoter and producer the opaque discoid-stomp of his Future Life EP marked him out as an original oddity but a vital new voice in the now global electronic music community, but with 'Pale Lux' he's enlarged the scope of his musical canvas to incorporate new fresh textures and atmospheres.
As Meda Fury head honcho Nick Williams explains: ''Future Life' was built from some quite dark, abstract demos, some of which ended up being a bit overproduced for his self made debut cd only album. The Pale Lux LP is a Ryota's fully realised eclectic vision, with a mood that is more optimistic and playful - much more reflective of his personality."
'Pale Lux' indeed has a real narrative flow - dance floor tracks such as the chunky balearic vibes of 'Wood', and banging future techno of 'Bird Flying Over The Rainbow' nestle alongside home listening ambience - witness the backroom/chill-out vibes of 'Origin', the cute hip hop bounce of 'Soft Touch' or the delicate trinket box chimes of outro 'Drops'.
Oscillating between light and shade, slow and fast, the influence of Japan's history and native instrumentation runs right through the record; his fascination with Balearic, Disco, Deep-House, Hip Hop, Ambient and blunted beats parcelled into a glorious, sweetly considered listening experience.

The Limited Series continues with the 9th release on the sub label. BPLS009 presents a 5 track compilation of stripped back and scantily clad drum tracks. 2020 hasn't been the year for clubs so here's something low key. The opening track "Pitch Control" comes from Guava. A subtle composition of percussive tools and well crafted sub bass, further exploring his sound from previous appearances on Holding Hands and Control Freak. LUXE fka DJ Luz, the Manchester based producer and B.L.O.O.M affiliate provides her debut track "Falcon's Rise", a nostalgic remedy with a euphoric vox and scattered jungle drums.

Part two opens up to French producer Pipholp, his second appearance on the label, adding another broken beat, IDM inspired jazzy house entry with "Angers". A sense of patience between moods leaving you in limbo. Monotronique also joins with "Beat Himself" on the B2, a no nonsense bass heavy DJ tool for that specific peak occasion. More danger after his debut appearance on the Black Label Series (BPBL03) last year. In a total mood change, the release comes to a meditative close with "Wide Awake" from Padre Oe. A collaboration between Pete Lazonby, an artist with a long history most known for his chart heading solo production "Sacred Cycles" on Brainiak Records in the 90's, and Otto Fischer, a Nigerian free-improvising singer, lyricist and guitarist best known for his guitar work with the Alexander Hawkins Ensemble. The track also features Henry Lowther on trumpet, widely recognized as one the UK's best, and the strongest contributor to Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden with dozens of top of the pops appearances with a spanning list of important and renowned bands appearing at Ronnie Scott's to Woodstock. Yair Elazar Glotman & Mats Erlandsson - ‘Emanate’ Both prolific composers working within the field of modern composition/ new electronic music, Yair Elazar Glotman and Mats Erlandsson’s second collaborative album, ‘Emanate’ is a powerful and stunningly executed work that uses a fantastic ensemble cast (inc. Lucy Railton, Maria W
Horn, Viktor Orri Arnarson, Sara Fors, Liam Byrne) to explore their idea of a “displaced sound, combining electronic and acoustic sources to create a rich and ambiguous composite music that sounds neither clearly electronic nor acoustic, existing instead in some inbetween space”.

 Berlin-based Glotman worked closely with late Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, writing additional film music for ‘Mandy’ and co-composing the score of ‘Last and First Men’ (just released on Deutsche Gramophon). He also contributed to scores by Hildur Guðnadóttir (inc. her Oscar-winning ‘Joker’ soundtrack), Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury, Ben Frost, Dustin O’Halloran and Hauschka. An assistant at the world-renowned EMS studio, Erlandsson is part of the vibrantly reemerging field of drone music in Stockholm, including the likes of Kali Malone, Maria W Horn and Ellen Arkbro, and has released on XKatedral, Posh Isolation and Portals Editions.

 ‘Emanate’ is a bold, deep work that dilates time and exists in a blurred interzone between classical and experimental electronic music music worlds. Allow yourself the time and space to be immersed in its currents and depths and ‘Emanate’ will amply reward your attention.

MUSAR is honoured to revive the electronic-synth legend, MANASYt, with a new five-track EP as part of a three-EP series. 'Reality Defense Department' will be the Bulgarian's first material since 2012, set to release via MUSAR on December 8, 2017.
Petar Tassev aka MANASYt, hails from the twilight zone. Growing up with the blacks swans in the forest of communist Bulgaria, listening to metal and hardcore music then interpreting the moody, roughness together with inspirations from electronic new-wave music to a raw, pure and dark adventure bubbling with madness.
'Reality Defense Department' is a future horror movie soundtrack. The first track 'Memory Imprints' is a pure psychedelic-trip into the mental clinic for clockwork orange droogs. The second track 'Mobile Pharmacy' can be described as what the aliens would listen to while attacking Earth. The last original track 'Orthodox Spanking' is a dark, wayward electro track full of post-punk elements, perfect for a fetish party.

Ocean Me - massive balearic summer anthem from The Mountain People who once more prove they are able to unlock big emotions.

Distant Worlds returns to the fray for 2021, following the runaway success of last year’s Guidance Release EP from Cignol. Here we see the label reaching the lofty heights of their tenth release with an absolute beauty from Malta-based Sound Synthesis, himself fresh from a mighty fine run of form of late.

Melodic, warm electro with heart tugging melodies and gut punching beats are all present and correct: all but the coldest hearts will be melted by the euphoric chords, attention to detail and keen ear for a melodic hook prevalent throughout this fine release. Energetic yet emotional, Sound Synthesis succeeds here in bringing elements of acidic electro and transcendent soul tinged braindance sensibilities to the pot.

Lead track, ‘Planet Hope’ is a deeply personal journey with a musical message of positivity wrapped up in the utopian optimism of all the finest electronica. ‘Thinking of You’ continues in the same vein, all beautiful atmospheres and melodic flourishes culminating in a masterful soul-tinged breakdown.

Flip over for another assault on the emotional jugular with ‘Transmission of Life’ before rounding off with the acid tinged psychedelic hypnotism of ‘Spiral Reverb’. With this straight electro ep the longtime connection between STILLEBEN ´s own LUKE EARGOGGLE and LUNATIC became manifest. the innovator and his friends KAN3DA and WELTWIRTSCHAFT bring four various and origin tracks that are kept together through the typical STILLEBEN sound, packed in a carefully screenprinted, LUNATIC jacket. the producers show again their talent for bringing musical devices in harmonics and arrangement together with innovative ideas in this classic genre. each track has its own, different moment on the dancefl oor - pushing forward with ICELANDIC LADY and the remix of OCEAN MOVERS the record delays with the deep meandering DIE GANZE WELT on the b-side. finally the remix of JENNIFER TOUCH ´s ASTRA with it ´s disco-attitude reminds of their wide spectrum like shown in EARGOGGLE ´s MONKEYSHOP project or KAN3DA ´s former release on AC RECORDS.

The record label 'Gladio Operations' launches it's second release onto the market after the recognition of it's debut EP 'Flight to Anywhere', released in June. 'War To The Future' gives its name to the first series of V/A from the label, which includes four electro cuts, exclusively orientated for the dance floor.

The EP opens with a producer from Barcelona Univac, who after releasing Chernobyl tracks on the Dutch label Moustache Records, gifts us with Station Cero, a powerful, devastating track resonating with industrial sounds.

The second track titled Poison, bears the signature of the Ukrainian artist Lectromagnetique, a track loaded with excellent dark and enigmatic sounds. The owners of the Gladio Operations label, UHF, open side B with Unexplained Situation, a vertiginous journey wrapped in rich and deep psychedelic textures.

With releases on well renowned labels such as Bass Agenda and Bunker Records, the Serbian producer Alavux closes the EP with Sunset, a fantastic track with an aggressive bass line and significant and repetitive sequences.

We are happy to present our 8th release, The Orange One, which is due to hit the shelves somewhere around the beginning of this summer! This EP is signed by a young and really talented producer Clafrica. Originally from Catania, this cool dude is now residing in Edinburgh UK.

In addition to the three fresh cuts from Clafrica, we invited our very own Disrupted Project to round the release with a remix and as you can hear, he delivers.

The eighteenth release on Second Circle is the label's second exploration into an artists archival works; this time presenting a selection of four early tracks by theatre, film and music producer Can Oral under his Khan alias.

Can moved to Williamsburg, New York in the early 90's along with good friend and fellow musician Jimi Tenor. Born in Germany of Turkish-Finnish parents, he would frantically start buying equipment (such as a TR808, TB303 and Korg Polysix) from junk shops across New York, becoming greatly prolific in his recordings which he would work on throughout the night. During the daytime though, Can set up and ran the now defunct Temple Records, a seminal Soho record store, and later label, largely importing Techno and Acid from Europe. Though a small store, Temple Records would count musicians and DJs such as Björk, Tricky, Dee-Lite, Josh Wink and Joey Beltram among its regular customers. Also he would host many such guests to play live or DJ at his weekly Techno party “Killer” which was held at Save The Robots in New York’s East Village.

Can Oral's nightly studio sessions eventually led to an almost inexhaustible discography with over a dozen monikers each representing a different aspect of his productions. SC018 focuses then on his early electronic works as Khan.

Named after the color painted studio where the EP was produced between 1993-1996, 'Blue Box Sessions' is a collection of four analogue machine driven cuts, covering different tempos and ethos within electronic music. Initially live recorded to an old DAT recorder, and without any overdubs, SC018 is a lost and found artefact to Khan's unquestioned raw talent and timeless relevance.

Her unique style of music assimilates her culture and personal experiences with a worldly and studious appreciation of deep techno. Alison Marks, an established producer from London has an enviable catalogue of releases as herself, Lumina and as a member of Wallflower with Leah Floyeurs. Notably heard on Rebirth and Dogmatik her music is typically filled with warmth and soul.

“What motivates us as human beings?” Zobol muses. Some might argue that the present day has produced a new culture of inefficiency and burn-out – a world where greedy landlords reign supreme, where broken bureaucracy flourishes and where people have become slaves to the system. But all is not lost. Hope sits on the horizon, and Jon Chmielewski is exploring the possibilities. For the 12th release on Welsh imprint Haŵs, the undeniably genius producer presents an electro EP that seeks to communicate something far bigger than himself.

‘Empathy Droid’s Lament’ is a cascading opener, quaking with all of the energy of a determined figure reaching into their reservoir for just one more push. ‘Rogue Landlord’ sits in a twilit world of ghostly melodies and swelling horns that cohabit with a dark restlessness at each other’s presence – but an irony lies in the harmony of the situation.

On the B-side, ‘R U OK?’ dilutes rippling synth lines with a bulky bass and inquisitive melodies, purging itself of emotions like a late-night spent soul-searching. For the closing remix, Reptant strips down and warps the original into fresh drum patterns, rupturing the rhythm into a storm of glitches, pops and perfectly sequenced percussion.

Zobol and Reptant are clearly on the same mission: to breathe life into the humdrum and start the road to recovery on the dancefloor. ‘Diminishing Returns’ posits an answer to its first question: that innovating with what we have is the way to overcome monotony, as well as reassuring that the collective pulse is still very much warm.

Part 3 of the "Astra Spectra" series features none other than Berlin Electro duo CYRK with 3 intense and dark electro tracks great for any part of the night. Rounding off the release is a remix of "Human Mind" by Syrte. The inspiration given for this release was that CYRK were to imagine themselves as two engineers, working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the planetary alignment of an entire solar system stable. Stefan Weise envisioned the “Astra Spectra” series as a celebration of mankind’s vision for space exploration, past and future, while also expressing a love for space science, science fiction and the spirit of discovery. Each release in the series is representative of a color frequency in our sun’s absorption spectrum and the element which is represented by that, hence the name, which means “Solar Spectrum”

Since relocating from Amsterdam to Bergen on the Netherlands’ north west coast, Tom Trago has gone back to basics. Every day he jams out tracks in his home studio using a small selection of electronic instruments, drum computers and effects units, a process that allows him to quickly capture ideas, emotions and the intense moments he experiences while making music.

It’s these diverse and sometimes surprising musical moments that will be showcased on Trago’s new DIY record label, Jong Nederland. The imprint is named after the building where he now lives and works, an historic and storied place that has been home to artists of all descriptions since the 1960s. Each vinyl release will feature tracks made by Trago using his improvised, straight-to-tape technique, packaged in handcrafted sleeves illustrated by internationally renowned Dutch artist – and fellow Bergen resident – Pieter Bijwaard.

The Jong Nederland story begins with two tracks of undulating, slowly shifting dancefloor voodoo rich in crunchy drum machine hits, lilting electronic melodies and instinctive dancefloor warmth. On the A-side you’ll find “Whisper”, a hypnotic but fluid affair where hushed melodies tumble down over off-kilter polyrhythmic machine drums, spaced out effects and bubbly, ever-changing analogue electronics.

B-side “Belltower” sees Trago up the tempo a little and bounce us towards the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Utilizing a rubbery rhythm track full of sturdy but supple kick-drums and hissing cymbals, Trago layers up fizzing synthesizer lines, poignant minor key chords, wiggling acid-style motifs and starburst electronics to fire the synapses and stir the senses. Like its’ A-side companion, “Belltower” gently twists and turns throughout, reflecting the real time, hands-on changes made by its creator during the spontaneous sessions that led to its creation.

And We Finally Heard Them Singing » is the first release of Umbra and the first release on Magma Records. The Brussels based producer and magma co-founder produces frenetic yet refined and emotive tracks. His signature palette gathers melancholy and tension with a DIY approach, sampling and mixing live sounding beats and electronic percussions. A large range of influences are morphed into this record showcasing a perfect blend of organic warm sounds, melancholic pads and electronic production.

On a newly arisen Amsterdam – Berlin axis, Daniel Monaco and Sauvage World unite for their first collaboration EP on San Francisco based Roam Recordings.

“Paninari On Acid” is a twisted tribute to the first golden age of Italian electronic music. Israeli talent Niv Ast turns the trip into a dance floor bomb, leaving no choice but to move with its chubby bass and synthetic lead lines.

“Teneré” was not only one of Milan’s paninari favourite motorbikes but – most importantly – means “desert” in the Touareg language. This is where Monaco and Sauvage World are taking you for a lysergic adventure filled with sand through a solitary land.

Fabrizio Mammarella brings it back to the age of the machines and delivers an hypnotizing electro version, brilliantly mixing the Arabic tinged nuance of the original with unstoppable killer rhythms and robotic vocals.

Following critically acclaimed releases with Dance Regular and Rhythm Section (releasing under SAUL with Jack Stephenson-Oliver), London-based producer/DJ Footshooter lands on Astral Black with his full-length debut, the 'Southside Hymns' LP.

'Southside Hymns' is a decadent tribute to the community, club nights and culture of London that Barney Whittaker (Footshooter) is intrinsically a part of. This ethos is embodied in the skippy, broken-beat of the MA.MOYO featuring 'Passing Clouds' (a tribute to the community-ran venue of the same name), whilst the piercing synth stabs and horn laden grooves of 'Juno Café' is a nod to the South East London club space it's named after.

Following the Albertina-featuring single 'Twilight', the EP transitions from a dusk drive through the city - taking in the sights and sounds of Whittaker's favourite foliage-flaunting haunts, to parking the listener firmly on the dance floor with the trunk rattling bass of 'Untether' and the Natty Wylah featuring 'Bloom'.

Through enlisting a guest cast including the likes of vocalists MA.MOYO, Natty Wylah & Albertina, guest instrumentalists and long-term collaborators Wilf Petherbridge, Isobel Risk, Ebyan Rezguli & James Mollison, as well as artwork by Illustrator & NTS resident Anu Ambasna - Footshooter has ensured that 'Southside Hymns' at once embodies the contemporary London music community that it is also a dedication to.

On the A-side, the sophisticated “Love Games”, that will be included in the official soundtrack of the fifth season of the so popular Netflix series "Narcos", plus the slow ballad "405 North".

On the B-side , "Vanity Rap" which brings Rebecca McLain vocals to the fore while and "Freeze Rock".

Often abbreviated as I.M.S. the project was created in Vicenza, Italy in 1983 by Maurizio Cavalieri and Giorgio Stefani, the same musicians who brought you “Spacer Woman” by Charlie. Under this moniker, the two would release two albums of stylized and syncopated electronic dance songs showcasing the still-evolving advancement of computer and keyboard-generated music.

Distorted Sensory Perception returns for their 4th release, proudly welcoming Eddie Symons AKA Nullptr to the fold. ‘Lost Time’ boasts 4 deep and dynamic analogue cuts that are sure to stimulate the mind, body and soul. The EP forms the penultimate part of Nullptr's 2021 triptych, recorded over the final months of a difficult year when the distance between friends and family really started to be felt, yet the hope of better times felt close.

The A-side opens with the bass heavy ‘Adrift’. Shrouded in eerie synth leads and tasteful modular bleeps. All presented over heavy hitting drum loops that together make an emotive, uncompromising whole.
The first side concludes with the warm and funky ‘Islands’. Smooth sailing synthesis and popping percussion in combination create a sonic delight for the ears.

The B-side opens with the dark and moody ‘First Light’. A deep, dystopian example of UK Electro that takes no prisoners. Deep menacing bass pads, melancholic synth leads and acidic squiggles all bubbling under a punchy broken beat. Finally, the last piece of the puzzle and title track of the release ‘Lost Time’ is a lighter, dreamier example of Eddie’s versatility as a producer. Signature arpeggios and contemplative leads all tied together with shuddering percussive elements. A beautiful insight into the reflective mind of its creator and a fitting end to an emotion-inducing record.

Who would have thought that Gerd Janson and Phillipp Lauer, aka The Tuff City Kids, delivering a 'Rocker' mix for Alter Ego, wich is not only one of their best up to this date remixwork, but also probably one of the biggest electro-summerhits in 2016. The Tuff City Kids production work is quite similary eclectic like in Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke's original version. They know exactly how to juggle with different styles, until they come up with a fresh new sound that transforms an ordinary rave into an unforgettable happening. In this case they are mixing real performed krautrockdrums, 90's prototrance-balearicstrings and an unexpectedly new, enthusiastic way of working with Alter Ego's trademark melodyhook. This melody-theme is dripping formally out of every programmed bass and synthesizer line without beeing to cheesy, superficial or over the top. Even their 808 electro-remix for the track Gate 23 is keeping to the premise of the legendary New York punk rock band The Ramones, that a good party track should not illustrate the effects of psychedelic drugs, the music has to be the pill itself. The rich details and playfulness of the mixes are showing Gerd Janson and Phillipp Lauer as real fans of the original versions.In the same spirit, they are trying to melt pop-appeal, art-sensibility and clubhit-function in one piece of vinyl.

There are few who can breathe new life into old Polish songs as well as the Warsaw duo Holiday 80.
Their new versions of forgotten Polish songs are always incredibly danceable, featuring great production quality.

This spring the duo will finally release their self-titled EP for The Very Polish Cut-Outs - the cult label from Poland.
This recording also marks the start of a new series of samplers, which will fully showcase the production artistry of individual Polish producers.

The Very Holiday 80 Sampler EP features four new edits that are perfect for both the clubs (once they've opened of course) and home.
The release opens with "Byles, Jestes, Bedziesz Moj" ("You were, you are, you will be mine") - an electro funk interpretation of Krystyna Pronko's 1987 song which is beefed up with some straight forward drums and lots of new effects.
The next track on the same side, the Holiday 80's version of Tubylcy Betonu track "Ye Ye Ye" will prove to you that the Poles felt the Manchester groove no less than the crazies from Happy Mondays.
Yet the real gem in this set is the B-side opener "Zaopiekuj sie mna", a synth-wave, dark-italo style take on the 1985 hit track by Rezerwat that was on top of Polish favourite lists of the era.

The release closes with an edit of "Centrum Wynalazkow", one of the best examples of Polish new wave electronic music of the late 1980s. The forgotten recording by Formacja Niezywych Schabuff has been cut with a skill worthy of the tailors of London's Saville Row.

Another X-Kalay OG returns to the label this summer and we couldn’t be happier :) It’s not a huge overstatement to say that Lucas’ first record on X-Kalay, “Ataraxia”, was somewhat of a milestone in the development of both artist and label, and it has been a huge pleasure to see him go from strength to strength since its release just over two years ago. These days it’s fair to say that Lucas is one of the most exciting young artists in the game - with a finely crafted knack for electro, and the 303 in particular, pretty much second to none. We’re super proud to welcome him back with his next effort -“Lifeforms”.

The emotive opener is “Amongst us in Harmony” - steadily building through deep pads and bouncing arps, the now trademark Lou Karsh acid bassline ever present. Coming in over 8 minutes, it’s a truly galactic track. “Internally Vexed”is a more stripped back affair. The breaksy groove is underpinned by the snappiest of snares and shrouded in celestial pads, the masterful use of the 303 demonstrating one of the sharpest and slickest basslines you’re likely to hear this year >:0

On the flip, “Alien With a Subwoofer (Skyline Mix)” is pacey club material built around deep wobs, a seriously wiggly 303, and carefully constructed pads building subtle tension. The sound of aliens redlining straight through your hood. Rounding things off, title track “Lifeforms” is beautifully crafted deep electronica; full of emotion and lush pads, otherworldly atmospherics and yearning synths.

This is a special record, and some of Lucas’ best work without a doubt. Don’t sleep!

After a long break of around seven years, Drivecom the Spanish label based on advanced electro conducted by Boris Divider is back again to the scene delivering a minimal concept (as stated on its first roots) but with avantgarde elements to keep a vibe on the contemporary edge. This is the first episode of a new project under the name of “Generative Operations”. A project born from a new vision and workflow at the B. Divider’s studio.



From the technical side, the use of massive modular synthesis and generative sequencing make the tracks to be different each time are being played, so here you have a unique recording of a certain moment as if it was and imprint of an instant. Also the minimalistic percussion tries to be slowly developed in an electro rhythm structure. In the other hand all the tracks have a cinematic vibe, it seems as they were composed thinking about to fit in any hi-tec sci-fi thriller movie. Granular sythesis pads, background noises, experimental compression routines help to fullfill the vision. At the moment of this info three volumes are being planned to be released in this year 2020.

Dawl makes up side A with an electro classic, driving beat and bubbling basslines that build and roll with claps and snaps and laser fx, all accompanied by some industrial fx a real dance floor toon as always from the main man DAWL, get any party going.

They look like apes but when you look at it they also seems to be as human as we are. They are coming from Planet Hanuma and came on earth to spread their message through analog drum machines and synths.

to the early years of House productions, that again merges
perfectly into the "Zeitgeist" of today. Growing up as a
teenager and a music interested mind at those decades in
Italy, of course Mr. Baldelli & Co. has left a permanent
impression, and the "Cosmic" influence of this unique club
scenery is easy to recognize in Elia´s music. Bringing all these
influences and experiences of Enzo Elia together, melted into
one piece of vinyl, is the perfect time-capsule that captures the

title "Alles Paletti!" resumes out of a typical Berlin phrase,

together with the producer Roskow Kretschmann in his studio,
preppered with quite a few guest insturmentalists and
vocalists. Since beeing a youngster Enzo Elia is spinning
tracks and delighting audiences in small clubs to big festivals,
releasing music on several reputable labels from mellow-sundown-balearics to hard-hitting-techno, that made him the
international respected DJ and Producer he is today.

Etienne makes his debut EP for Melliflow after the breakout success of his "Currently Idle' album earlier this year.

With his second album Falling, Fonkynson, the alter ego of Valentin Huchon, stakes a claim as one of Montreal's worthiest representatives of future house.

After the success of his first release, Follow Me, he reinvents himself through more personal productions that are as dancefloor-friendly as ever. His production techniques have evolved; the musician now incorporates analog instruments, vocals, and turntablism into his compositions. He collaborated with talented local rising stars, like Torontonian Desiire, vocalists Kôsa and Vaness, as well as Montrealer Laurence Giroux-Do (lead singer for Le Couleur). The nine tracks point to a blending of musical styles, harnessed to make a pop-house opus, the fruit of two years of work.

I tried to know more about him, his musical biography, his place of residence etc etc … just to get an idea and be able to describe his music.
But in vain….

I don’t know anything about him anymore but I want to thank him for his musical environment and this indescribable music….

Bambe, the new label run by Parisian artist Bambounou, presents its second instalment ‘Final Conference’ featuring 3 collaborations between the label head and Bristol producer Bruce, known for his deconstructed club cuts on Hessle Audio, Timedance and Hemlock Records. This is Bruce and Bambounou’s first time working together, expect detailed hypnotic rhythms with a postmodern edge.

Bambe is a passion project of Bambounou and follows the release of the well received ‘Cascade’ EP. The imprint is a space created for talent from diverse backgrounds coming together to use art and technology to create expansive musical experiences.

'Sceptic' is the first EP from the French label Suborder, featuring 3 tracks produced by Electro producer NGA. With this first release, NGA wants to put France on the Electro Map. Each track mixes classic 808 drums and Electro basslines with melancholic keyboards patterns.

The main track 'Sceptic' is a retro-futuristic ballad surrounded by birds chirping like C64 computers. It can be played with its original BPM but can be over accelerated to be mixed as Detroit Electro superheroes.

'Unlimited Power' explores a darker side of NGA's mind. It sounds like a movie soundtrack with a melody that invites the listener to focus on himself for a moment.
