Legendary Finnish electro pioneers Mr Velcro Fastener return after a very long absence with this long-awaited and much-anticipated EP on Cyber Dance Records. Kaum ein anderer Musiker an der Schnittstelle zwischen Elektro und Popmusik wird so leidenschaftlich
verehrt wie Apparat. Mühelos vereint der Wahl-Berliner die unerschöpflichen Soundwelten der elektronischen
Musik mit der emotionalen Tiefe des Indie. Apparat macht Musik zum Abrocken und Mitsingen und Musik
zum Wegdriften und darin Eintauchen. Mit Moderat, seiner Kooperation mit dem DJ-Duo Modeselektor, steht
er seit Jahren regelmäßig auf Festival-Bühnen, er war bei John Peel zu Gast und schreibt Theatermusik.
Doch Apparat hat auch ein fantastisches, radikal-elektronisches Frühwerk zu bieten. Weil das nicht jeder
parat hat, bringt das Label Shitkatapult seine ersten drei Alben remastert im Delux-Box-Set heraus. Darin
enthalten: das Debüt "Multifunktionsebene", das Apparat 2001 im zarten Alter von 21 veröffentlichte, sowie
sein Opus Magnum "Tttrial And Eror" (2002) und "Duplex" (2003), das Album, in dem er der Elektronik

Robert Crash is an alias of Italian DJ and producer Fransesco Schito and now he makes a debut outing on Creme Organization with a tidy four track EP. In the past he has turned up on Dog In The Night Records, and with these cuts lays out his singular take on outlier house and techno. Up first is 'Gigolo', a spare and weird house cut with sine waves and random claps, hunched drums and trippy synth lines. It's a unique track made in a unique way and will lead to plenty of freaky dance floor moments, for sure. 'Co. Art' is a whacked out techno cut with slap-funk claps, blistering and blistered synth lines and a rugged bit of bass underlining it all. The track is cavernous and metallic, empty and distant as if it somehow survived a nuclear blast. On the flip, 'Alzheimer' is a slow and gurgling, swampy techno number with broken drums and crawling synths that sound like their batteries have run down. Icy, watery melodies eventually rain down, but the track remains resolutely eerie. Last of all, 'Fabric' is another decaying track with subtle, heavily filtered synths and drums all making for a minimal groove that is barely there. This is heavily deconstructed music that sounds like little else out there and may well be the start of a very fast rise through the ranks for Robert Crash.

Following the success of the digital release of Sleazy McQueen's You Know How EP, upstart label, CVMR were compelled to press the remixes to vinyl.

The proceedings open in superb style thanks to The Revenge's Live Dub. A bass heavy tool with equal parts classic house and disco, with a touch of Arthur Baker-style drums. On A2, Sleazy McQueen's Space Coast take things to the basement with the help of Romano Arcaini (Latenight Society), warm rhodes, live bass and an absolute drum-break-freakout add a decidedly different dub flavor to the package.
B/W Compost Black's main man Kasper Bjorke offers his acid tinged interpretation, driven by a gritty saw-wave bass hook, rolling snare hits, wanderings arps and crunchy drums, a simply stunning piece of music as expected from the undeniably talented
Copenhagen born producer. Closing out the remix EP, CVMR in-house producer, Century strips back the vibe to a dropped tempo, emotive workout fuelled be heavily reverberated piano chords, echoing vocal lines and a general chuggy, low-slung vibe throughout.

Fantastic release by CN, also known as EOD (check out his release on 03030 records!). Retro futuristic electro tracks in the spirit of the Detroit originals by this talented producer named Stian Gjevik from Norway. Recommended!

STERAC aka Steve Rachmad has reached back to the first album 100% Pure ever released in 1995 - the classic milestone in the history of Detroit Techno 'Secret Life of Machines' and has given it a whole new lease of musical life for release this summer.
17 years ago, in a make shift studio at his parent's house, Steve Rachmad crafted his first album Secret Life of Machines under the moniker STERAC, using his music machines (Roland TR-808, R-8m, U-20, Juno 106, JX 8p, Yamaha TX-81z and FB-01).

When the Golden Filter sent us 6 tracks to choose from for an EP release on Optimo Music, we were struggling to choose just 4 as we loved them all so much, so we decided to take all of them and put two that we felt were perhaps more DJ friendly out on Optimo Trax. "Heavy" (it is!) and "Outimacy" are both tried and tested in the clubs, two wild electronic signals with advanced synthetic sound design and monumental production. Boom!

We turned to Morgan Hammer to take on the other side (both sides are A sides!). After being blown away by hearing her DJ and finding out that most of the tracks we wanted to know the identities of were her own work, we chose two tracks that are mighty in their own right while also complementing the tracks by The Golden Filter. "Arrogant Bastard" gets asked about every time it is played out. A modern update of the Belgian electrobeat* sound (*electrobeat is a much better term than the not so great EBM) with Morgan's wildly deadpan vocals. It's already a hit. The EP is rounded off with her Hammer horror (sorry!) "Killer Nighter". An all-year-round delight but surely destined to be a future Halloween standard.

Ólafur Arnalds und Nils Frahm legen mit der Doppel-CD "Collaborative Works" eine Sammlung ihres bisherigen Schaffens vor. Sie enthält neben den drei bisher erschienenen Vinyl-EPs "Loon", "Stare" und "Life Story Love And Glory" sieben Songs aus ihrem "Trance Frendz"-Studiofilm. "Stare" (2012) war die allererste gemeinsame Veröffentlichung von Ólafur Arnalds und Nils Frahm - ein wirkliches Familienprojekt, das 2011 zusammen mit der Cellistin Anne Müller zwischen Reykjavík und Berlin stattfand. "Loon" (2015) ist eine vom Synthesizerklang angetriebene 5-Track EP, die im Herbst 2014 in Nils' Durton-Studio in Berlin aufgenommen wurde und den Ambient-Sound von "Stare" fortführt, jedoch unter der Hinzugabe von perkussiveren Elementen und Dub-Einflüssen. "Life Story Love And Glory" (2015) sind zwei Improvisation an zwei
Klavieren, die im Oktober 2012 ebenfalls bei Frahm in Berlin aufgenommen wurden, "Trance Frendz" (2015) ist die Audioaufnahme ihres intimen, 46-minütigen Studiofilms gleichen Namens.

Arising from the underground of Neukölln in Berlin, this Polish-Danish duo brings pulsating beats and bass lines together with vintage synthesizers and analog drum machines, as well as self-customized and bended low-bit instruments. 77™ takes a conceptually different approach to each release, which usually is visually supported by experimental videos/animations.

Their remix for Millimetric's 'Negative Leaders' EP has been released on Space Factory Records.

FLORA QUARTET is a combination of slide projections, field recording and the sound of musicians from the Sejny Theatre Klezmer Orchestra and Sztetl. The point of departure was the observation of forms, shapes, colours and sounds. Improvisation, composition, sound landscapes, humour and fairy tale narrations - FLORA QUARTET is at the intersection of all those elements.

Bios:

Marcin Dymiter aka Emiter operates in the area of modern electronica and improvised music. He creates sound installations, radio shows, music for films, theatre, exhibitions, public spaces, and performs music during screenings of silent movies. He leads his own sound workshops and activities promoting the idea of field recording. Dymiter also works as a music producer. He has participated in music workshops in Poland and abroad, e.g. workshops led by Le Quan Ninh, Andrew Sharpley, John Butcher and Robin Minard. Dymiter received the scholarship of the University of Art in Berlin and was the finalist of the Netmage International Multimedia Festival contest in Bologna. He also received the scholarship of the Pomeranian Voivodship and the Ministry of the Culture and National Heritage (2011) and the Visegrad Fund (2012). The member of the Polish Electroacoustic Music Association. Previously a member of bands Ewa Braun, Mapa and Mordy.

Piotr Janiec - tuba player. Cooperates with theCentre "Borderland of Arts, Cultures and Nations", where he started playing tuba. Involved in Klezmer music, he plays and performs in Poland and abroad. The member of the Klezmer Orchestra of the Sejny Theatre. He has participated in workshops of Paul Brody, Frank London, Steve Swell, David Krakauer and Mikolaj Trzaska. Since 2008, Janiec has been associated with the Warsaw music scene. He now performs with Trifonidis Orchestra, Trifonidis Free Orchestra, Frozen Bird, Muzyka Miejsca and Sejny Theatre Klezmer Orchestra. He cooperates with musicians such as Maciek Bielawski, Pawel Szamburski, Patryk Zakrocki, Raphael Roginski, Michal Górczynski, Jerzy Mazzoll, Piotr Zabrodzki, Tomasz Duda, Pawel Szpura, Pawel Miskiewicz, Radek Duda, Wojtek Traczyk, Ray Dickaty and Kamil Szuszkiewicz.

After last year's releases on Spectrum Spools, Italian techno masterminds Donato Dozzy and Neel are returning as the duo Voices From The Lake with a release on the mother label Editions Mego: Live @ MAXXI is a marvellous organic live-set of hypnotic ambient techno, proofing the outstanding and elegant craftsmanship of their sonic sculpturing, that they both are famous for. As was to be expected they stay true to their polyphonic topography of liquid scapes: aquatic sceneries are embedded in soaking dense atmospheres, gently gyrating us into trance. Sometimes soft echoes of sirenic voices are heard - the only remnants of human traces in these spaces that have suspended time, where smooth silky textures are being channeled into fractal structures that induce a state of transcendence. The haptic quality of their sound is adding up to a sonic matrix of metaphysic imaginary that is provoked by gentle glides and dynamic beat patterns of almost tribalistic quality. Dunked in a bath of dark fluid, sometimes washed away at the shores of Kosmische - VFTL's tunes are not scared to seduce us into a condition of haziness, culminating in a cover of Paolo Conte's ,Max' which is turned into a dazzling sample of sweet, dreamy melancholia. With this release Voices From The Lake succeed again in strengthening their position as one of todays most refined ambient techno producers.

The prodigal DUKE returns to Turbo triumphant after two UK #1 singles in Need U (100%) and I Got U.

Getting a number one single is an extraordinary achievement. Getting two is a whole other level. Even KLF, who literally wrote the book on how to write a #1 hit (The Manual) only managed to do it once. Duke Dumont's talent was first recognized in 2007 when Tiga signed his Regality EP, and further developed through the mentorship of Switch, but for years he seemed destined to stay under-the-radar, another brilliant artist toiling in relative obscurity, his fantastic remixes working wonders on dance-floors while his name was a footnote to the success of bigger names.

All that started to change in 2012 with For Club Play Only vol I & II on Turbo, with 'Street Walker' getting a swell of underground support and 'The Giver' following up as one of the crossover club hits of the year. His follow-up launch of the Blasé Boys Club label with the #1 hit 'Need U (100%)' propelled him to instant stardom, and incredibly he managed to follow-up in rapid fire with interim single 'Hold On' and then a second #1 in 'I Got U ft. Jax Jones'. It's an astonishing success story primed to continue with the forthcoming 'Won't Look Back.'

So it comes as a welcome surprise to also get this third instalment of For Club Play Only, a return to stripped-down party bombs, with just enough hook to make the tracks unforgettable. 'Slow Dance' is a guaranteed floor-filler built from a killer bassline, sexy vocal sample, crisp drums and a wiggly acid outro. 'Mumble Man' is another infectious, instantly-gratifying hand-raiser, and possibly the best scat track since Scatman John. 'Nicht Vor Mitternacht' sees the Duke flexing his EDM muscles, foregoing vocals for total synth domination, designed to work with the biggest hiss cannons the world has ever seen. Bonafide stadium wrecker. Finally, 'Drumapella' is a dope DJ tool, a functional weapon to layer in the mix or leave in it's sparse banging glory.

Alex Gloor and Sasa Crnobrnja began traveling the world together under the In Flagranti moniker over a decade ago after initially meeting in Switzerland in 1991. Whilst he is primarily recognised for his bond with Detroit and its varying strands of House and Techno, Seth Troxler is an artist whose taste and collection spreads much further afield. Through his own imprint Soft Touch, Seth explores music from way beyond the motor city's borders as he seeks to outlet left-of-centre cuts that touch on 'interstellar guitar, calypso disco and seductive techno tracks'. With the project inaugurated by Clarian back in August of 2014, the second instalment comes from the Visionquest and Playhouse affiliated trio Rework who draw from their unique meld of synths and vocals and turn in their 'Lovecall' EP.

'Girl Or Boy' kicks things off with a dense wall of ducking pads before Sascha Hedgehog's vocals prowl over moody chord shifts and slow and steady drum beats. The swelling pads of the title trackk then omit a Miami-tinged glow atop a walking bass pattern and a melancholic synth refrain before 'Moon' sets hazy guitar licks rotating inside an aquatic casing. Bright, glassy pads bleed in overhead while reverb draws melodies from the horizon to the foreground, gently rolling progress forwards, and sealing off a second record that keeps us guessing where Soft Touch will turn to next.

Widely acclaimed by press (Crack Magazine, Dazed & Confused, RA, XLR8R, Cyclic Defrost, RBMA, DE:Bug to name a few) since its initial release in 2009 and heavily sought after by vinyl hunters and devoted listeners ever since, this album marks a decisive juncture in the artistic direction not only for Robot Koch and his career as a solo artist, but also for Project: Mooncircle.

Composer and producer Robert Logan's first album 'Cognessence' [2007] prompted an array of rave reviews and favourable comparisons to some of the giants of electronic music. Still only 19 at the time he was described as "...;something of a prodigy...; a man that is already showing a maturity and a musical/textural understanding that many simply never find." [BBC]. A second album 'Inscape' and a clutch of EP's garnered yet more praise and cemented his reputation as an artist with immense talent.

His recent 'Extasis EP' marked his first solo release five years, a period in which he diverted his attentions to his blossoming career in soundtrack work and notable collaborations with the likes of Brigitte Fontaine, Grace Jones, Steve Roach and Skye [Morcheeba]. The EP received support and praise from the likes of BBC6, Igloo, Sound Colour Vibration, DJ Mag and Vinyl Factory to name a few.

The follow up 'Flesh' is Logan's third full-length album and sees him further develop his idiosyncratic sound whilst continuing to open up new possibilities within the field of electronic music. As ever, Logan's methodology is rooted in an obsessive desire to push the technology at his disposal to the limit - all his sounds are created from scratch or are created by deconstructing found sounds and acoustic instruments through extreme digital processes. Moreover, most of the album is composed using quarter tones, an experiment which is most in evidence on tracks that feature contributions from Andy Knight [Emporor's New Clothes] on pocket trumpet. Other contributors include Sarah Sarhandi on viola and drummer Frank Byng [Snorkel, Prescott] who guests on the first three tracks and is a nod to his live band set up. This contrast between 'live' instrumentation and his own digital methods taps into some of the themes that Logan is exploring in the music and that give the album its title - ideas about flesh and spirit, technology and nature, mind and matter.

The music on offer ranges from the melodic and garage inspired bounce of 'Phrack', the sophisticated dark grooves of 'Viker Raver' and 'Straighten', the complex and breathless overtures and overtones of 'Vespine Domain' and 'Spirit Wars', to his more out of the box experiments with tracks such as 'Glad Centipede', 'Cyborg Horn' and 'Playground'

'Flying While Standing' marks the first outing on Holger tracks, a Brussels based label that sprung out of a refreshing party breed which has seen the city's bustling underground mesmerized for the last couple of years. It's only a natural evolution for the two notorious record lovers behind the label, to start releasing on their own imprint. With this first outing they aim at giving a peek at Belgian synth pop still being alive, not only in the many retro compilations or obscurity reissues, but here and now.


Enter Bright Entity. Consisting of Michiel Claus and Ciska Thomas, both classically trained musicians and active in different other projects, the duo share a history leading them to team up on this project, starting out in 2009. While Michiel is looking to fulfill his musical needs in the electronic realms, Ciska, as a vocalist, does so in more acoustic settings. This mini album turned out to be the culmination of their shared love for synth pop, combining influences as wide as Arthur Russel, the dubpop sound of Peaking Lights and Pas de Deux, of which family ties convey a more profound kinship. Last year Ciska even joined the ranks of the cult formation when they performed a one off reunion concert at Brussels' Ancienne Belgique.


Throughout this six tracker you'll hear these influences shine trough in their idiosyncratic blend of sun induced, lo-fi casio pop, much in the vein of French duo Deux, Anne Clark or even Les Disques Du Crépuscule's Antena. Rich in colors and dynamics, with an ever pleasant friction between the rougher drumcomputer sounds and the fluid, soothing synths. Ciska's husky voice and cloudy melodies conjure up nicely with the housey drumsounds and deranged details that fill up the mix after a couple of listens. In fact it's not as straightforward as you might think at first listen. By stroking the right chords and laying down sanguine lyrics, Ciska manages to pull you in fairly easily. It's only through repeated listening that you may find the compelling part Michiel is playing, apart from taking care of the rhythm section.


At times pacing, yet soothing and even a little narcotized, this is music for cruising, home listening and dancing, for making out and romancing.

The Pinkman sister label Charlois continues its journey with a four tracker by gearfreak Timothy J. Fairplay. This time the operator is pushing his machines into the depths of late 70's giallo scores, which resulted in four haunting, rough house and disco cuts. Limited edition with silk screened sleeves!

CW/A present their remarkable debut album, Words Unspoken, Acts Undone. Since their inception CW/A have forged a path through the murky world of electronic music, with a number of releases on Vakant, M_REC and their own Parachute Records. Previously accomplished musicians in their own right, Thomas and Francesco joined forces in 2013 to begin a live project that took the act of performance into the club. Shying away from typical setups so prevalent nowadays, CW/A bring to the club a level of live performance which they've now translated into their first full-length.

Weighing in at 11 tracks the album demonstrates the duos musical heritage of early Warp style bass but also UK Jungle and Downwards-
influenced dub Techno. This isn't an album that looks back with any misty-eyed nostalgia, it respectfully brings its nineties influences straight into 2015, seamlessly weaving from genre to genre with an up-to-date element to the production.

If you're expecting an album of rave breaks or straight up 4/4, you won't find it here, but if you're ready to leave behind that which you've heard already, Words Unspoken, Acts Undone will reward you from the moment you drop the needle.

Manni Dee's - Shifting EP comprises of 3 tracks of uncompromising dancefloor music. Focussing on the 130bpm area frequented by many of the alumni of dubstep's fallout, its raw production values and emphasis on percussion forge something original yet functional.

LA.-based producer/composer/DJ Matt Lange delivers a darkly melodic breed of electronic music rooted in raw energy and emotion. Hand-selected by deadmau5 as one of the latest signings to his label mau5trap, the lifelong musician now makes his full-length debut with the groove-heavy, intricately textured Ephemera. As his first album release for mau5trap, Ephemera's title reflects the restless innovation inherent in Lange's musicianship. 'The album's really a snapshot of where I am right now as an artist,' Lange explains. 'It's this turning point where I have one foot in the world of dance music, and the other foot in a whole different direction.'

With Mixmag pointing out that Lange possesses 'more musical predilection in his pinky than most producers' entire catalog,' Ephemera reveals both the creative adventurousness and exquisite precision at the core of Lange's sound. 'My music is always very handmade,' says Lange, noting that most of Ephemera's tracks started out on guitar, piano, or modular synthesizer. 'I don't ever use any outside material. Creating it all on my own lets me have a much more personal connection to everything I do.' And though the album's offerings veer from the eerily charged yet infectious atmospherics of club tracks like 'My Love Aside' to the downtempo intimacy of vocal-driven numbers like 'Lying to Myself,' all of Ephemera is infused with a moody intensity that proves the depth of that connection. 'I'm not very good at writing bright, happy music,' says Lange. 'I need there to be an underlying sense of melancholy in order to really get pulled into the song.'

Growing up in Manhattan, Lange started playing piano at age four and sung in a boy's choir from ages six to 13, then picked up the guitar and quickly joined a hardcore/metal band. 'I got into the production side of things when I was 15, mostly because I wanted to make my own demos for the band, and that completely changed my relationship with music,' says Lange. After majoring in music production at Boston's Berklee College of Music—and shaping his sound with inspiration from groups like Hybrid and Telefon Tel Aviv—Lange was enlisted by BT to co-produce his critically acclaimed, Grammy Award-nominated album These Hopeful Machines. Lange next struck out on his own, turning out releases like 2014's Staccato EP (a #2 Progressive House Release on Beatport), creating official remixes for tracks as eclectic as The M Machine's 'Shadow in the Rose Garden' (OWSLA) and Usher's 'Numb' (RCA), and serving as producer on Glenn Morrison's 'Goodbye' (a 2013 release that went platinum in Canada and sold more than 500,000 copies worldwide). Along with playing festivals like EDC Las Vegas and TomorrowWorld and earning praise as 2014's #1 DJ to watch by VIBE, he eventually caught the attention of deadmau5, who included his 'Scorched Earth Policy' on the We Are Friends: Volume 3 compilation (released in February 2015) and 'Nice Shades, Wesley' on We Are Friends: Volume 4 (June 2015).

Despite exploring so many genres and directions through the years, certain principles have remained constant for Lange. 'As I got older, I found the tracks that worked out best were the ones I made without regard to what other people would think of them,' he says. 'People can always tell when music's coming from a place that's true to you, so I learned that the key is to be totally honest and just do what I love and what interests me most.' That honesty is also closely tied to his creative process and musical sensibilities. 'To me electronic music is mainly a medium that gives you the freedom and ability to use anything you want to,' he says. 'When you take live instrumentation and process it in a way that creates this hybrid sound that's stuck in between two worlds and you can't figure out what's what, that's my favorite space to live in. The only real limitation is what you're able to imagine.'

'Everybody's a fuckin expert' lays forth another slab of inverted tranquility where general disruption is kept in check by the subversive charm unique to the outfit. Gunfire rhythms lay waste to androgynous sonics on the opener 'Ass', deep sea disorientation allows pools of plasticine audio to rise on Rastplatz whilst Picnic Table rinses electro out of thick gelatinous cybernetics.

Amsterdam's Rwina Records is behind the new EP, which is Kenrick Connor's first release since his 2011 album Presents 'Kentje'sz Beatsz' on Planet Mu. That record laid out the young producer's 'Dutch bubbling' sound, which pairs cheap-sounding synths with sped-up dembow tracks, which earned comparisons to UK funky and reggaeton. Connor has gone quiet since, but with Kush In Da Sound he offers up six new tracks that further flesh out the Dutch bubbling sound.

Born in the midst of a creative surge in the pop-leaning underground, Greek act Keep Shelly In Athens have been a force in the indie world for the last half decade, releasing projects on Cascine, Gorilla vs. Bear label arm Forest Family and British heavyweight Planet Mu. Now, the Athens-based duo arrive on Los Angeles outlet Friends of Friends with the 'Now I'm Ready' LP, their second official LP and their most emotionally mature, sonically adventurous effort to date. At eight songs and 45 minutes, the album strikes a concise, yet imposing figure, each individual effort comprised of enough peaks and valleys to bring the listener to the edge and back again. Lifted off by lead single Fractals', Now I'm Ready is not your typical indie effort, un-beholden to tempo and style, the album skips across genre tropes with ease, each track guided by producer R's singular aesthetic and vocalist Myrtha's unmistakable crescendos.
And whether you're locked into a long road trip, careening around a city or looking over the Mediterranean, Keep Shelly In Athens bring an arresting pathos to the proceedings, felt everywhere from the breakbeat-led madness of Hollow Man' to the ever-building, hypnotic vocal qualities of Now I'm Ready'. It's only the duo's second official LP, but considering their release history on outlets as diverse as Cascine, Forest Family and Planet Mu, it's no surprise that their arrival on Friends of Friends is such an unabated success.

mau5trap announces the signing of LA-based Producer/Composer/DJ, Matt Lange, with the forthcoming release of his debut LP, Ephemera. Hand-selected by deadmau5 himself via twitter, Lange delivers his full-length debut with an intricately dark, textured, groove-heavy work of art, set to release on the 11th of September.

Ephemera's title reflects the restless innovation in Lange's musicianship. "The album's really a snapshot of where I am right now as an artist," Lange explains. "It's this turning point where I have one foot in the world of dance music, and the other foot in a whole different direction." Lange's debut release on mau5trap reveals both the creative adventurousness and exquisite precision at the core of his sound. This may be his first LP, but the Berklee School of Music grad is a vet when it comes to musicianship, with most of Ephemera's tracks starting out on guitar, piano, or a modular synthesizer.

Comprised of an eerie, dark breed of electronic music, Ephemera is also simultaneously brimming with raw energy and emotion. The album's lead single, "My Love Aside," is an infectious atmospheric-driven track, combined with mutated club-ready techno. Not one to stick to a formula, the album also displays Lange's love for vocally-driven, left of center experimental numbers like "Lying to Myself." Throughout, Ephemera is infused with an intense, menacing aura that challenges listeners' ears and demonstrates Lange's depth of connection between emotion and music.

Throughout Lange's career, he has amassed quite the resume including helping to build and shape Above & Beyond's underground-leaning label, Anjunadeep. The lifelong musician was called upon by BT to co-engineer his critically acclaimed, Grammy Award-nominated album These Hopeful Machines, and produced Glenn Morrison's Canadian Platinum hit "Goodbye." Lange officially reworked "Numb" by RCA recording artist, Usher, The M Machine's "Shadow in the Rose Garden," and "Ascendency" from the official soundtrack for Microsoft's marquee game, Halo 4. He also currently has a remix in the works for Grammy-winning artist Imogen Heap, slated to release later this year.

Anyone lucky enough to catch one of Matt Lange's DJ sets has experienced the unique blend of dark grooves he gives each and every night. Cosmic Neighbourhood is the brainchild of Bristol-based illustrator and musician Adam Higton. In the words of It's Nice That, Higton's works 'conjure crisp autumnal smells, the Incredible String Band, children's bedsheets, tree carvings, Morris Men, Steeleye Span, and the patterned variety of 1970s crockery you often see in caravans.' Adam was recently seen performing at Pick Me Up design festival, hunched over a synth and disguised as a six-foot tall mushroom. His wide-eyed, mossy view of the world is endlessly endearing.

Sonically, Collages I straddles new and old, taking modular electronics, flutes, bells and softly pattering drum machines, before colouring them all with the amber glow of some forgotten, psychedelic kids' TV programme. Higton's benign toots and echoing jingles bring to mind Daphne Oram's early delay experiments or the meandering playfulness of Tom Cameron. Indeed, this radiophonic, time-worn approach has won Adam fans at arch archivists Ghost Box. In the words of the artist, this release 'documents the daily goings-on of the forest folk within the realm of the Cosmic Neighbourhood. The collages came first and the music acts as a response to each individual composition.'

This record took me about 3 years to complete, and I feel like in many ways it's a return to my roots of introspective, mellow, instrumental electronic music, a "home listening" record instead of a club or dance record. I've always tried to not pay attention to trends in electronic music and just make what I like, and this record is the result of going strongly in that direction - I'm making music for myself, and am inspired way more by older music than current trends in electronic music or the latest production techniques. My aim is to make music that stands the test of time.

'Presidio' is very organic - I used a lot of real instruments throughout: rhodes, guitar, bass, melodica, and more. Not many overdubs were used: I was after a loose, human, unquantized feel in much of it. However, I still use a lot of synthesizers and drum machines - I love the contrast between perfectly timed electronic sequences and loose, human, even "sloppy" timing.

About 2 years ago I moved to a remote, forested part of San Francisco - the Presidio, and the isolation of living in the forest next to the Pacific Ocean strongly influenced my approach to recording. My home studio is near the ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge, and is surrounded by miles of trails and foggy eucalyptus groves. At night I hear foghorns, owls, and coyotes. I think living in a place like this has made me more introspective, more creative, and more willing to take my music in directions that are very personal.

Fog is a regular fixture in San Francisco, but it's especially omnipresent the closer you get to the ocean. Fog and reverb are closely related in my mind - I like creating dense washes of sound in my music, where all of the elements bleed together into a beautiful gaussian blur of sound.

John Talabot's Hivern Discs label starts afresh in 2015 by introducing a heretofore unknown duo known as INIT. Te pair hails from Frankfurt's Rhein-Main region and comprises Nadia D'Alo` and Benedikt Frey, both of whom were featured on the title track of Massimiliano Pagliara's 2014 LP on Live At Robert Johnson. Frey's cosmic, plodding, and house-related analogue experimentations have also appeared on the iconic Japanese label mule musiq, and this penchant for moody kraut-infuenced psychedelia and atmospheric synth explorations is enhanced by his team up with D'Alo` on INIT's debut album "Two Pole Resonance", set for release September 14.

Benedikt Frey is building a steady reputation both as a Producer (with releases on LARJ, Mule Electronic, Nous'klaer Audio and his own LOPASURA imprint) and as a DJ with a long-standing residency at the legendary Robert Johnson and increasing international bookings. Tis is Frey's duo effort alongside Nadia D'Alo`.

As Dennis Ihm decided to make the EP "Memory Killer", he had a big influence from the music scene of his city Berlin. The music style of these 4 tracks are a combination of a smooth but also powerful deep house. In the last few months he wrote and sang for his tracks with some help by his friend Janan, who has a beautiful and strong voice, which is fitting very well to the deep sounds.

- Brainfeeder's sole British representative Lapalux follows up on 2013's 'Nostalchic' with his second longplayer 'Lustmore', an album loosely based on the experience of hypnogogia (a transitional state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep). His infectious rhythms, enveloping textures and unfamiliarly familiar melodies conjure that territory perfectly.

The Swedish solo project PRO424 has since the debut in 2011 wandered between musically narrow alleys, and finds his passion and inspiration in the classic ambient music, electronica and melodic techno. Immune is another step musically both into himself and into the unknown, where the musical norm is put to test and challenged by combining the softest ambient music with hard machine techno. The music can be seen as a fragile mix of Underworld and Tangerine Dream, with a scent of Richie Hawtin. Immune is released on vinyl LP and digitally.
