The Jena based label Solid Rotation started with an versatile Various Artist EP. The following first whole artist Extended Player of Mbeck is a hypnotic, minimalistic journey. The cover side is reserved for an 11 minutes, dizzy appregiator crocodile ride. On the flip side, you can expect two ravin' afterhour sidekicks, which are a hot standby.

Back In The Game EP is a journey through minimal, techno and dub sound delivered in a totaly unique style and manner. Pelo's ever evolving sound is captured on this vinyl at it's crucial point.

Having given us a taster of things to come back in September 2016, with the 'Pressing Matters' single, The Cyclist returns to Hypercolour with a brand new, full length album. And as the title suggests, 'Sapa Inca Delirium' leans heavily on South American mysticism, not just musically, but in the visual imagery that the eleven-track album paints so well across its various tempos and rhythms. From the tropical burst of mood setting opener, 'Go Back' to the steamy and pacey percussive flow of 'Inhale/Exhale' which features regular collaborator Tanaya Harper on vocals, The Cyclist's fourth long player is crammed full of intriguing atmospheres and soundscapes. 'Antiexist', with its down-tempo rolling snare fills and ethereal Gregorian chanting segues effortlessly into 'A Blind Girl Drinks Ayawaska', a suitably discordant and hallucinogenic skit that ensures the album flows into the more rhythmic cuts like 'Skateboarding In The Jungle' and 'Mirrors' (the second album cut to feature Harper on vocals). Even the traditional jazzier vibes of 'When We All Break Down' featuring Joni are kept rugged and boisterous, with heavyweight bending bass, choppy breakbeats and FX'd ambience amongst the smooth jazzy chords and sweet vocal delivery. 'Sapa Inca Delirium' is one of those albums that will reward on repeat listen, such is the diversity of style on show here, and the detailed and wide eyed curiosity offered up across the long player's fifty three minutes.

Fun Records' fourth release signed by startling producer Neik represents all that Barem and Alexis Cabrera once expected when they settled their label's playground. Because Nicolas Neik's debut can be considered definitely as unique: his three tracks are like three priceless tickets to explore an enhanced electronic music game based on a limitless creativity balanced with a strict self-demand. Neik's taste and skills increasingly captivated both Fun founders, but he rarely wanted to share his own sounds. Why Nicolás Neik studio's basis are far away from sharing everything online, his creative strength invigorates massive brainstormings and only outstandingly stops the work in progress finishing a track. Therefore, Fun004 must be unveiled, and enjoyed, and Mike Shannon's F9M remix is what grants a last outstanding coup de grâce: ethereal atmosphere, slippery vocals, padded white noise and a feverish bass create an electrifying dialogue with Neik's F9M and the whole EP's direction. From EXP to MEV, each Neik's track bends straight minimalist sounds to welcome a new vibrant vision of forward-thinking house. Beats, melodies and rhythm have finally got rid of the 4/4 dancefloor Canon, thanks to MEV we are not going to miss it as assumed. By constantly re-editing, redesigning and studying its compositions for several years, Neik's groove attains a misleading complexity that circles and empowers the whole three tracks; surprisingly making us feel as if it was an easy conquest. To exploit its deepness and reach both our mind and body, the beat metamorphoses from ubiquity to intermittence with uprising bursts of intensity.At the first listening, inner emotions may vary speedily, as if collapsing: stop trying to predict what's next, let yourself go and you'll suddenly find Neik's new way to beat the house. Berlin duo The/Das are to release their sophomore album, Exit Strategies, on Life And Death in September 2017, with a first EP from it, ›Drug Dilling‹, coming in July. The absorbing 12-tracker is the result of a period of searching that finds the new line-up of Fabian Fenk and Philipp Koller combine multiple ideas, layers, fragments and sounds and refine their distinct idea of techno tenderness. It makes for a soothing and escapist 60 minute listen that works as well at home, on headphones, as it does loud in the club.
The new album is a perfect blend of the pair's Berlin techno roots with a devotion to organic sounds and cinematic details that makes it a real trip for the head, heart and heel from start to finish. More house influenced than their previous works on labels like Sinnbus, Krakatau and DJ Tennis's Life And Death, their artistic vision ties it all together as the duo continues to push each other, bounce ideas back and forth and eventually distill them into something fresh and new. The album itself was an unhurried affair made from various sketched starting points collected over three years of research. Influenced from their travels, a decade of DJ gigs and shared musical experiences, they then headed into the studio for three intense months to arrange, rework, jam out new material, edit and collate all their sounds and ideas. Finally, they spent three weeks behind the mixing desk, shaping the whole lot into one complete form. Made using an array of drum machines and with a new focus on sampling, the album has experimental loops, sounds and rhythms imbued within, and lyrics that act as textural and emotive interventions, adding to the overall flow.

After a lengthy hiatus, Tuskegee Music is back with a heavyweight release indeed: it features tracks written by Detroit heavyweights Seth Troxler—under his Young Seth alias— and cult FXHE boss Omar S. Amazingly they were written 11 years ago and have been long forgotten until recently being unearthed.
The first track here was inspired by a trip Seth made to Berlin's Club Der Visionaere in 2005. 'It basically was me returning to Detroit and telling Omar about this crazy music I heard Ricardo play during the day.' The result, 'Deep'(CDV 2006 Mix), is a spine tingling atmospheric deep house track. The drums are lo-fi and loose, the bassline is a meandering thing that really sucks you in and soft, gentle toms tumble around the groove and encourage you to cut loose.
Then comes the experimental slow motion drum shuffle of 'Detroit After Midnight' which the pair made after 'finding loads of weird records in his basement sampling them and making a classic MPC Detroit cut.' It has the sounds of people talking as if coming from the room next door laid over a lazy and undulating bassline, and is brilliantly weird and sketchy.
Last of all, Young Seth goes solo on 'Luiza's Inferno' five minutes of him jamming on Omar's MS20 with a warbling synth line coated in warm tape hiss and layers of dust. It's a beatless piece that shows how inventive and ahead of his time Troxler was even as a young man.
This is a brilliantly unusual EP and another winner for Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers' Tuskegee label.

Following the release of Alvin Aronson's 'City' EP on White Material earlier this month, the New York based producer has shared clips of his 'High Rise' EP scheduled for release mid-December 2015 on NORD Records.

The 4-track vinyl release features sessions with Morgan Louis and Galcher Lustwerk of White Material as well as a couple of solo tracks.

Isla Records starts with 2 original tracks from Unit, tracks with some special synths and dark drums, fire dark sides... And coming a Gem remix from the great Romanian Artist Egal3 aka Vid, who makes the perfect vibes on this amazing B1 cut.

The project Get in touch' is based in Mainz and Berlin, and was founded by the guys behind Orbit III. Their passion is to create a blend of trippy minimalistic sounds with classic house and techno elements and to get in touch with the music.
For their first release they are proud to present a primetime killer remix from Nicola Kazimir contrasting the rather smooth original by Willberg on side A. Klaser&Karrenberg, the highly recommended newcomers from Mainz, showcase a dry acid interpretation of the playful floating Orbit III track on side B.

INKL. MALIN GENIE REMIX

The seventh EP from The Untold Stories, is a collaborative project, beats and keys. The beats coming from Nektar Agu, and the piano from Matias Zurita, aka Cossmos. Both artists from Buenos Aires, and they obviously found a great harmony for this project, because the result is very nice indeed. A1 is a special work, entitled 'Seiya'. It's an enlivening track of distinct attitude, the flow is strong, the percussion powerful, and combined dextrously with the beautiful keys from Cossmos. The effect is very inspiring, very mental - deep and evocative, and very enjoyable. This epic work then get's a remix by Archipel label boss Pheek, who keeps all that made the original magical, and crafts a refined 8 min remix, if you liked the first track then this will be a very awesome further development. The EP is then concluded by a 7 min work by Nektar Agu and Cosmos, this time a more upbeat and trippy affair, again it's beats and keys in a cool harmony, again done with considerable skill, and is a nice end to a fine record.

Middlesbrough's Luna Records prepare for the summer with the 'Preserve The Light' EP, a collaborative release from Luna artist Brett Jacobs and Kabuto & Koji man Patrice Meiner that also features a rare remix outing from Mountain People's Rozzo. True to Luna Records form, this EP from East Londoner, Jacobs, and Berlin resident Costa Rican, Meiner, is all about subtle, trippy grooves. The original of 'Preserve The Light' is a dubbed out, low slung and powerfully bass-driven slice of house that wraps itself around a drawn out vocal sample.

Jacobs goes it alone for the second cut on 'Preserve The Light', the measured modern houser 'El Hadu'. Deep, textured and punctuated with a tapestry of strange, out of place sounds it's a textbook exercise in moody, hypnotic writing.
Rozzo delivers the remix of the title track and does so in his inimitable, heavily shuffled house style. Pacey yet slow burning, it's yet another piece of fine work from the Swiss producer.

'Miles Apart', another solo cut from Jacobs, closes the EP and provides a suitably meaty parting shot that blends old school vox hits with punchy contemporary house vibes.

After a one year hiatus, Berlin's Michael Melchner is finally back in a memorable way with a new release on Colt Music. Three original cuts that do not need any futher explanation with ' Came First' as the main track, followed by a more personal version on the B side. Closing things off, Prague adds the spice with a funky minimal tool track.

Pure emotion carried by cosmic soul in the guise of underground melodic techno is what Justin Zerbst offers us with his first release on Metamorphic.

Justin might be considered up and coming despite having released his first record on the highly regarded Australian label Red Ember in the 90s. Since then the Melbourne based producer has released only a handful but extremely sought after records on Eklo, Seekers, and Red Ember. Now his music, deeply influenced by Detroit and especially Midwest techno finds a natural home on Metamorphic.

Four tracks of pure analog machine soul, created in the 90's but never released until now, capturing the raw energy and excitement of that era. Robert Feuchtel at Fat of Excellence Production Services Cologne, bridges the divide between now and then with his unparalleled mastering skills.

I'll never forget the many dancefloor dates my friends and I had with Harry Romero back in the late '90's and early naughties. Nobody turned out beats like 'Choo Choo'. Cro-Magnon, Erectus, Tania, Night At The Black, Suck My Clock, Beats Vol. 1 & 2, Mas Pito (as Mongobonix), the list goes on and on... Each and every one a seminal house smash, played by all and still sounding as fresh today as they did on their first spin.

2013 is the beginning of a new chapter for Harry, parting ways with his long time label group Subliminal, after completing a ten year deal, he is now free to release with other labels, and importantly, return directly to the beats. Already forging ahead with new releases on Ovum (under his Vaggio alias) and Sneak's I'm A House Gangster among others, here he makes his debut on Circus Recordings.

There is no question that Harry is one of the finest and most accomplished producers in electronic music, a serious beat maker like few others. And a seasoned dj since the early 90's in New York. Raised in a musical family -- his mother soaked the air with the Latin rhythms of merengue and cumbia, while his father, a former opera tenor, practiced his scales and listened to Beethoven. As a result, Harry was constantly looking to expand musical range. His trademark Latin touch can be heard in full effect once again on his new three track Circus release, The Butcher.

Circus Recordings owner Yousef spoke to Harry about his new music and his departure from Subliminal, visiting him in his New Jersey studio to discuss an EP. As a fan who has respected Harry's body of work for many years, Yousef was blown away when listening to track after track of Romero's new material, signing 3 cuts on the spot.

Harry tells us The Butcher was born after a night in Ibiza watching Luciano control the Pacha floor. Solo Man is nod to the mid nineties Romero, whilst Keep Pushing On is a jerky view on bass line 2013. All 3 tracks have been smashing Yousef's dance floors for some months now.

The Butcher EP put's Harry's name directly back on the underground dance floors, showing the world (once again) that Harry Romero is most serious of players.

Swiss DJ & producer, Mirko Loko, continued to indulge in his intergalactic persuasions on last year's long player Comet Plan". Released on Cadenza, Mirko's second album was enthusiastically received and picked up many fans for its collection of blissfull and wide-eyed electronica and techno sounds. Featured guests on the album included dOP's vocalist, JAW, and Francesco Tristano. 12 months on, and Comet Plan' gets revisited and remixed by two stellar names from the electronic dance community. Sebastian Mullaert is well known for partnership with Marcus Henriksson as Minilogue, the Swedish duo responsible for killer albums & singles for the likes of Cocoon, Silver Planet and Wagon Repair. Mullaert plumps for a solo remix of Venus' of epic proportions, split into two versions, Phaze One' and Phaze Two". An organic trip through the cosmos, Mullaert tweaks and teases over two seductively trippy versions, showing us a master class in minimal electronics. Hailing from Dallas, Brett Johnson has become synonymous with masterful jackin house music via singles for Derrick Carter's Classic, DJ Sneak's Magnetic, Freerange and Visionquest. Brett tackles U Special' featuring JAW, and turn in a very tasty Remix and Instrumental version. Soulful, spacey and groovy in equal doses, Brett delivers the goods in abundance on these mixes. A tight remix package that bows respectfully to Mirko's original visions, and a timely reminder, to the uninitiated, to check out the album for further inspection.

The selector this time for Synthetic Gold Records is the acclaimed producer STL, who has put together a personal selection of some of his own favourite works, some special memories, and as is characteristic with his own label's releases - Something Records - this record has a mix of material, starting with the atmospherics of 'Just Imagine', before going straight into the legendary dancefloor groover 'The Taphead'. The Aside is then concluded by the mellow classic 'October Sunrise'. The Bside starts with an old and little known gem 'Syntax Error'. This is followed by two beatless offerings, the beautiful dub vibes of 'Disconnected' before the peaceful synths of 'Testkrach'. Finally we are treated to three locked grooves, which have been an ever present part of STL's releases over the years, and here we have three most magical. A very welcome selection, and for those new to STL, a great introduction.

With an especially deep, curled funk behind the ears, MK 32 directly controls an ocean of harmonic, resonating phenomena. At
the controls there is Ian Simmonds, the sail is raised by the Workshop steward Even Tuell, the free-spirited Dave Aju (Circus
Company) and the almost-label Namensgeber.

MINIM Records gathers a quartet of bumpin' sleek sounds from around the globe for the anticipated 002 VA. 'Stardub' finds Romanian producer Mano Andrei layering ethereal, muted pads over some raw percussives, tight driving kick and body moving bassline, while Montreal gearhead Pheek's 'Glad I Say' mates tech house bounce and sine-wave wubs to a creaky, industrial sonic palette. UK trackslinger TIJN pictures the 'Cosmos' bursting with angular breakbeats and 4/4 subs, as the talented Ukranian producer/dj and Tvir label boss Komponente tweaks percussive tones, punches the kick, and adds a coating of sonic grit on the brain-bending 'Amigdala.'
