Retraieste Romaneste is a LP in which music speaks for it self, like the translation of the title Relive The Romanian Way' this original minimal and deep sound of young artist Dragutesku brings us one step closer to the roots. The track names are picked after the names of great romanian writers and poets from last century topped by the original artwork, this album makes us relive those moments of pure, inspiring originality once again.

rchestrating their return to Kompakt with the much-acclaimed new full-length MOONBUILDING 2703 AD (KOMPAKT 330 CD 124), iconic pioneers of electronic music THE ORB found fresh momentum in an enticing melange of psychedelic loops, deep textures and striving beats. The album saw the duo at the peak of its creativity, indulging in that distinct style of warped miniature epics they've perfected, ever oscillating between ruminant sampling and propulsive jamming. With MOONBUILDING 2703 AD REMIXES / SIN IN SPACE PT.1, we present three reworks willing to tackle the sonic thicket of the source material - and succesfully translating The Orb's unique brand of musical insanity into their own resourceful idioms.

WOLFGANG VOIGT's aptly named ANTIRETROAMBIENTPSYCHOLKAMIX is the first of two revamps from the Kompakt founder and veteran 4/4 anarchist - starting off innocuous enough with some gently colored ambient trickling, it then suddenly sidesteps into lush pop techno minimalism at its very best. Voigt's second take is a particularly bouncy one, rightfully billed as WASSERMANN PSYCHOSCHAFFELCLUSTERMIX and marking the renewed interest in his concept rave alter ego in the wake of leftfield banger EISEN MEIN HERZ on TOTAL 15 (KOMPAKT 340 CD 125). The trio of remixes gets rounded out by LA-based producer TEEBS - nurtured by Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder imprint, he has built his reputation on rich edit-style beat tapestry, brought to full fruition in his ingenious MOON GROTTO MIX.

After a long travel on the border of the Universe, Loquace came back us with a 4 trackers EP.

Early May will see Mihai Popoviciu return with his second long player in the shape of the
'Home' LP on Bondage music, comprising twelve original compositions from the Romanian artist.

Mihai Popoviciu : "The album's called "home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home."

Romania's Mihai Popoviciu has carved out quite the career over the past decade releasing material through the likes of Highgrade, Hudd Traxx, Poker Flat and Fear of Flying. Here though we see him deliver his second full-length album and return to Bondage Music following a single on the label back in
2013.

Across the project Mihai delivers his signature dance floor focused, stripped back style with records like
'ACK', 'Sandstone Folder' and 'Tentacle Operated' showcasing the hypnotic and percussive style
Popoviciu executes so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions like
'Cannon Poets' and 'Sunshine' while the likes of 'Triumph' and 'Music 999' radiantly display Mihai's proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound.

All in all Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, 'Focus and 'Havana' lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations and an unfaltering structure, while
'Data On Data', 'Paranoia' and 'Hypnosia' tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth pads and chuggy low end tones. Once again Popoviciu has proven himself to be one of Romania's finest electronic music exports.

The snooze fest is over and we're back in the saddle with the first output from Colin La Plante aka The Mole aka half owner of this imprint. He's been touring up a storm and playing out a lot of new music we're excited to share with you this year.
Spicy noodles are something Colin thinks everyone can love...not one at a time...but by the bowl.
This four tracker definitely shows off 'new directions' for The Mole - nothing too outlandish mind you, but the path he chose with the title and crowd favourite 'gelb grun blau' definitely has these tracks leaning towards the centre of a DJ sets vs. beginning or end...spiralling kick drums with a fine grind blend of digital synths, analog synths, drum machines and the occasional samples here. R&S presents a killer EP from Romania's Ada Kaleh AKA Iulian Cuculea, which follows his stunning Alejandro Jodorowsky inspired debut LP "Dene descris" on his vinyl only imprint Ada Kaleh România.

Like many of the second wave of Romanian minimal producers, Iulian's music combines propulsive hypnotic rhythms with rich, organic sounds that envelop the listener in an otherworldly atmosphere. "The creation process is a moment of temporary madness for me' Iulian explains, "I enjoy working with layers of sounds that intertwine and embrace like a lotus flower. Folding and unfolding.' Finding fans in the form of countrymen like Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, Rhadoo, Barac, Cezar, Priku and internationals like Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear, tINI, Prins Thomas, he's also dropped critically acclaimed releases and/or remixes for UVAR, The Rabbit Hole, Third Wave Black, Supernature as well as his own Ada Kaleh România imprint.
Opener "Palatul de clestar" (translated "The glass palace", received a vinyl only release on his own label in 2014) sets the tone with a mesmeric rhythm track overlaid with a haunting clarinet part and spaced out synth gurgles that combine to enthralling effect. Apollo Records alumnus Laurine Frost supplies a trippy, blown out version that blackens the tone of the original into a work of quiet menace. On the flip "Devotare" (translated "Devotion", also a vinyl only release on his own label in 2013) strikes a more strident tone, the grooves strut rather than purr - gauzy chord stabs weave between the beats and clunking percussion in a delicate yet complex interplay of elements.

Fasten Musique comes with its 10th release "Slow Notions EP" this time a collaboation from Kamran Sadeghi who is known as a core member of the art and music group Soundwalk Collective based between Berlin and New York City.The release contains two orignal tracks,vinyl only as always.

With this EP Best Works Records would like to pre-sent a new artist - Luis Junior. No stranger to the game!
Madrid-based Luis Junior has been a DJ and music producer for more than 20 years. In 1993 he re-leased his first 12-inches starting to build a disco-graphy of genre-defying music that pushes forever forward, designing new stylistic frameworks and breaking new artistic ground with each successive production. Luis has grown into one of the most cut-ting edge and inspiring artists in Spanish electronic music.
His versatile production skills are clearly displayed here from soulful and folkloristic influences to techno. The first track on the EP "Don't Give Up On Me" fea-tures singer Sobi Thurairatnam with sultry vocals and a stong pop-appeal.
D-Nox and Beckers tranform it into a club burner for the early hours. Floidos on the back-side is more of techno-orientated banger and with Pasion Luis Junior manages to integrate some Spanish Flamenco sounds without getting to obvious.

Following last summers acclaim Ruede Hagelstein's long player 'Apophenia', we once again revisit the album, this time with a few stunning remixes from The Drifter, Can Be Love Synth, and Ruede himself of the hugely popular 'Footprints' feat. C.A.R.. Up first is The Drifter and he turns out what may be his best remix to date with a swelling, emotional ride that will most definitely be an anthem for the coming summer. Taking a different approach, yet just as engaging, Ruede reworks his original into a dark, looping psychedelic odyssey perfect for late nights or early mornings. Can Love Be Synth rounds out the remixes with a gorgeous Pop-esque twist on the original choosing to focus on live instrumentation and retro synthesis resulting in a cross-over favorite. And finally, for all the times you want the vibe without the vocal, a dub version of the original gem.

The first strike off comes from none other than Ukrainian phenom, Silat Beksi. The Jasm EP spans three encapsulating tracks that are perfect for opening, peak, and after hour sets alike.
Known for his unique break beat style and rolling bass lines, Silat Beksi released his debut EP back in 2013 and has quickly risen the ranks as one of the top producers and DJs from the Eastern Bloc. Already with releases on the likes of Mulen Records, Tzinah Records, and Body Parts to name a few, his newest release sees a wide spectrum of styles and sounds. The Jasm EP starts off with the title track, a smooth roller that infuses the break beat sound that Beksi is renowned for with some playful jazz elements - truly a perfect track for those early morning after hour parties.
Over on the B-side, Slap offers what is surely the peak-set cut of the release.A hard-driving dance floor weapon with a rip-roaring bass line, techy vocal chops, and poppy highs, Slap is a force to be reckoned with.Closing things out is Mellowness. Equipped with a lively arpeggiator, shuffling hats, and yet another rolling bass line, this one really keeps the party going. Reminiscent of a Tulum after-party, this track is made with a beachside sunny vibe in mind. Black/Tuesday is an American creative studio founded in 2015 focused on minimal aesthetics and attention to detail. At its core, Black/Tuesday experiments with auditory experiences, physical fabrics, and immersive landscapes. With strong roots in the Denver underground scene, Black/Tuesday evolved out of TheHundred, an internationally renowned party series that has brought acts such as: Visionquest, Scuba, and Four Tet to Colorado. Breaking off from this trend, we set out to curate a new sound for the U.S., one that demands multi-day parties and seamless textures.

DJ and producer born in Tunisia and now based in Borås, Sweden. He's released on a handful of labels including Wallshaker, Nice & Nasty, Quadrant, Soul People Music, Selekta and Division X. His last release on Minimalsoul entitled 'Echoes Of A Revolution' went on to get a great review in De:Bug Magazine and sparked his return to Minimalsoul. Mourad now delivers (5) astonishing mediterranean flavored tracks to Minimalsoul. All tracks have their own flavor and can stand on their own in a listening or dance environment. We'd like to point out the undeniable production alongside Aaron-Carl Ragland, better known simply as Aaron-Carl, who was the founder of the Detroit-based Wallshaker Music & W.A.R.M.T.H. International Inc.. Tacotac EP is fueled with a great sense of emotion and feeling and will be an outstanding gem to any record collection.

Outofstock returns with another release, this time a two-tracker from Timofti which is well known as being a part of Audiotheque. After the great reception that followed after the premiere of this label, it was a tough job to have any material at least close to that one, but Timofti lived up to the expectations and produced some of the most attracting sounds you would hear lately.
"Storyline" is the masterpiece of the A-side, an extremely well-balanced tune with an appealing, low vocal part and an edgy bassline is as good as it comes. Unpredictable, but amazing, the track is sophisticated due to the quirky percussions and spacey hats, all of them in perfect place to offer a unique vibe. A linear product, according exactly to the Romanian sound that is so highly appreciated lately, this one is definitely going to make a mark for years to come due to its complexity and real value.
The B side contains a contrast because of the "Blue Effect", a more darkish concept that inserts the idea of the sea, both with its title and with an astonishing depiction through sound, a truly artistry composition that can induce you in the musicians perspective. The basline is the root of this image, with an aggressive but deep approach, also completed by some acoustic elements that go beyond the usual aspects, delivering a new insight of Timofti.

With releases from Lerosa, Andy Mac and Piezo already under our belts, Idle Hands strides towards the summer with a transmission from a kindred spirit across the pond. Area, sometimes known as m50, has been flying the flag for forward thinking electronic music in Chicago for a long time. His radio shows on WNUR have a distinctive quality one step to the side of the music his hometown is best known for, while his label Kimochi Sound has released incredible music from the likes of Benjamin Brunn, Strategy and many more besides.

As a producer Area has been equally prolific since first emerging in 2007. From Ethereal Sound and Steadfast to UntilMyHeartStops and Sequencias, his various approaches to rhythm and texture are all bound together by a meditative quality that feels like a perfect fit for Idle.

On this single, both sides of the 12" continue the theme of dusty, dusky 4/4 Area is most widely known for, locking on to a house groove while sporting the abstract atmosphere of techno. "Rlgl" is an understated, emotional heater that uses looped up fragments as a counterpoint to the more lilting strings and static that bed the track. "Notice" takes a more overtly melancholic approach with its lingering, heavily processed keys that drift in between a tough set of drums. There's a punch to the track that will translate beautifully to a big system, even as the melodics spell out a more intimate listening experience.

The brand new Echoes_ imprint sees label co-owner Nathan 0ye delivering his solo debut with Topper on remix duty.
