House Vinyl New Releases - News

With spring well and truly in the air and party season in step, Mosaic Records boss Steve O'Sullivan launches Mosaic's 38th release - joining forces with fellow Londoner Frazer Campbell for a new studio collaboration.

Not content with letting the dust settle from his recent work alongside Ricardo Villalobos, O'Sullivan has stayed a little closer to his London home to work with Frazer Campbell for this latest tag team effort. A dextrous hand in the mix and producer in his own right, Campbell has a passion for all things that sit on the deeper end of the house, techno and electronica spectrum. In his own words, thought emoting music is central to his mission having launched Open Recordings and Elliot Project Records last year: a worthy sparring partner indeed.

Since the start of the year, the pair had their heads down focusing on finding a happy medium between deeply swung grooves and the airy influences of Detroit - shaking out an interesting trio of tracks for their label debut. Far from treading the obvious path, the main event A1 'Hypnotonic' revels in a lighter touch as metronomic beat programming cycles endlessly to a held set of notes. Off-kilter bass pulses, warped out vocals and effect splashes all intersect to keep the energy input constant as they capture one of those less frenzied moments where the very notion of time seems to hold still. Make no mistake, this is a slow burn vibe.

Head to the flipside B1 'Soultonic' to plunge yourself straight into hip twitching mode when the lights go down. A deep chord, syncopated hats and deftly tweaked synths echo as a full dose of shuffle inflicts its move. Simple yet so effective, this track will not let you down. Winding things back up a touch, the tougher edge of 'Alleyway Funk' pushes the feeling on thanks to a thumping kick and a deft nod towards UK Garage. Met with a soft glisten of a Rhodes piano and tweakish melody, the pair round things off in a boyant mood - fans of Soul Capsule and Schatrax will no doubt agree.
Repeat play of this EP is recommended as its all the more rewarding for it.

This amazing EP from Dubsons has an amazing analog sound with a mixture of tracks. We have a bouncey groovey track, a driving housey track and an underground minimal dark room track. All these tracks have had amazing support from the likes of Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, Nu Zau and lots more. This EP has been in the pipeline for some time and is still doing the rounds at various events and festivals with the big boys. Burghez has an irie, creepy feel which would go down well at any after hours or main time set and is our personal favourite here at Trapped Ldn.

STK debuts on Mentha Records presenting two raw techno tracks with brilliant remix by Detroit Legend Gari Romalis.

Do Easy Record's 13th release brings us a classic of the year 1999, "Get Up" by Evil C & The Hustler with a massive Industrial Remix from Julien Bracht..

New imprint represented by the collaboration between IULY.B and Vlad Dinu

The first release from ERDENKINDER comes from Germany Offenbach label founders Vincenzo Esposito and Frankfurts B--Zet who is one oft he pioneers of the electronice music
scene in early 90s, where he also produced people like Sven Väth.
His biggest hit was Everlasting Pictures on Eye Q Records, which
was re--released by Laith Al--Deen in german language.
Meanwhile he was keyboarding for people like Quincy Jones and
Sheila E.
The record has four versions on A1 the original while on A2 B--Zet own Interpretation of the title track.
The flip starts with the well known frankfurt artist
Rey &Kjavik (RKJVK) with his new school and old school,

Freerotation resident Duckett lands on Facta and K-LONE's Wisdom Teeth label with a new 4-tracker, Gannets For Guano - the label's first single-artist EP, and Duckett's first for Wisdom Teeth. Having already released wonderful records on Galdoors, Greta Cottage and UntilMyHeartStops, Duckett's latest fits in perfectly amongst Wisdom Teeth's backcat - his malfunctioning rhythms and spoon-bent melodies occupying that sweet spot between order and chaos that the label has always done its best to occupy. More so than ever, Gannets For Guano sees Duckett exploring far-out territories. The melodies are psychedelic, the rhythms are disjointed and swinging - but always keeping just the right side of chaotic. Even at its most eccentric, the EP rolls with the functionality of techno, and boasts buckets of soul on account of Duckett's truly singular knack for melody. With Gannets For Guano, Duckett and Wisdom Teeth continue to establish themselves as go-to names for UK-rooted gear and tripped-out house and techno.

Displacing common sense with burly daring while not engaging with lenient, populist timber-rhythmic solutions is something not only rare, but also urgent and ever loved by clubbers and close listeners alike. Operating a warping double torsion onto the electro-acoustic stripe, Marteaux (internet and jazz infused from early age) pushes an elegant, at once minute and far-out sort of hybrid, unflappable envelope bound to make you dance, chill or, even better, listen to over and over, detained by the studiously assembled details and inviting atmosphere.

Emotions Electric continues their intergalactic mission trying to save the universe from bad music. Polygon Fields features 4 tracks of quality dark and futuristic electro & techno produced by Morphology. Limited copies, pre-orders essential.

Liquid Society and Modernity are two tracks Inspired on Zygmunt Bauman's concept of ''Liquid Modernity'. Music adapted to changing times.
Including Snilloc remix and Leix's vinyl only cut. Enjoy!!

Having already blessed the airwaves with their masked Boiler Room performance, and with releases and features seen on YUME, Huntley's & Palmers, Permanent Vacation and Antho- ny Napel's Probito, the promising talents of Edinburgh duo Hi & Saberha¨gen continue on Lo with 'Acid Finger'.

The five track EP showcases exactly what the pair are known for, exploring the balance of the subtle and direct natures of dance music. There is something extremely unique about their productions that breathes new life into an arguably stat- ic climate.

'Acid Finger' travels from highs to lows at a consistent and co- herent pace, starting with the sparkling, disco tinged 'Force´ Boi^te'. Euphoric heights are executed through light flourish- ing synth lines, drum patters and chord stabs. 'Woodrum' maintains the pace but switches the tone with jungle rhythms and a pounding bass.

Ominous belter 'Git' with its driving kick, looped vocal sample and rolling bass. The track develops into a hopeful finish with the introduction of glittering synth movements.
Title track 'Acid Finger' delivers beautifully delicate percus- sive and melodic work that progressively shapes up against fleeting shrill synth lines that come to a fitting crescendo.
Ending the release is the melancholic atmospheres created in 'Redacted', bringing a shift in mood and imitating a trudge through memory lane.

Expect to see and hear a lot more from these guys in the future..

1st release of Botanic Minds Sunset Series. 12" 180g Vinyl Only. Early support by Dubtil, Nima Gorji, Vlad Caia, Arapu, Sublee, Ada Kaleh .

Etro Hahn Tantara

Seeking for the gentleness of subtle tones of feminine voices, I immerse myself in (Tantara). The hum of a nameless track of
extensive progression, from small changes I create an tmosphere based on a tacit kick snap.....that is appeased by a surrounding endless pad, elements that combine to create this work...

Remix
The honor of receiving the remix from Dani Casarano (Melisma) takes it to another level, an analogue sound fills the environment
with brushstrokes of colors and a bass that marks the order inside within a continuous patter. Explosions of feminine sighs sound at
the distance that create a sound mix of great character and fullness trip...a beautiful remix.

Etro Hahn Magico

The jazz elements, basses, redoubles immured in delay and marked hit hat, combine this magical scene, where I begin a guttural chorus guided by the repeating melody of wind pendants (feng shui). And at the half of this sound picture, a powerful kick gives the perfect ending to this composition.... A magical moment.

Remix
The minimal sound floods Magico' with a filmic remix of the great RADIQ aka Yoshihiro HANNO. A permanent groove that doesn't
stop liberating energy, a sharp kick joined by a melodious organ, accompanies a sudden flow and subtle vocal breaths in a perfect conclusion... where the passive notes enter with the choir of monks calling to the sky. It's a beautiful minimal scene of a remix film of Radiq.

Deep, groovy and hypnotising. Greg Shepherd, sound architect of the Swiss label Finefood Records, brings a work of art of perfectly balanced architectural design to the market with his Divine' EP. After his last release Échec et Mat', discerning aficionados can rejoice about the release of two original tracks as well as two remixes. One of the strong points of this EP is undoubtedly the remix from Berlin duo Soukie & Windish, that brings a particular substance to the Divine' track. The same goes for Thomas T & Anish, who have managed to successfully remix the Cosmic Child' tune and it's bewitching atmosphere. Release vinyl march 3, digital April 7th. Enjoy

Divine Greg Shepherd Original
For his first of a 4 track release on Swiss label, Finefood Records, Greg Shepherd remains true to himself and confirms his status as an architect of emotions. He defines form and space with a solid rhythmic base, cementing the layers of this original track with acid & colourful synth tones. As any architect would, Greg has taken care of the aesthetics by embellishing his creation with a subtly throbbing groove and organic vibes. A true designer of dancefloor architecture.
Greg Shepherd_Divine-Soukie&Windish-RMX
For this remix of Greg Shepherd's original, this Berlin based duo Soukie and Windish embrace the original organic vibe for their first collaboration with Finefood Records. By minimising the vocal to a bare frequency and pushing the throbbing groove they send this track to new ecstatic heights, doing the original track honour. A must have track' in any Dj's flight case.
Greg Shepherd_Cosmic child_Original
Mesmerising, deep - this original track by Swiss artist Greg Shepherd is rightly named Cosmic Child' as all the elements of the dancefloor universe come together to celebrate the birth of rhythm, cadence, melody and the essence of tempo and vibe. The track is bewitching and will cast a spell on any crowd to draw them onto the dancefloor.

Greg Shepherd_Cosmic child_ThomasT & Anish RMX
ThomasT & Anish, no strangers to Finefood Record fans as this is their second remix for the Swiss label and they have done label boss, Ryan Hawkin proud yet again! The "Hill EP" is an elegant mixture of trippy and spacey elements that shape this EP into a solid microhouse production. By choosing Arapu as a remixer he not only manages to lay his signature in "Konstabler Hill" he also acquires a distinctive form and groove to the track.

Akbal Music has now been turning out essential dance music for a whole ten years and to celebrate this milestone the label puts out a vinyl only release from a fine selection of contemporary artists.
Vinyl only treat starts from long time German talent Sascha Dive, the Deep Vibes boss's 'Lab#4' is a quick and prickly number that sucks you into a shady groove underpinned with real bass menace.

Next up is Superlounge with Uluwatu Dub. The track starts swiftly with clever percussions and a lush pad quickly to progress with several drums rhythms into the bass that will keep the listeners tuned into its groove.

Romanian Mano Andrei appears with a sleek and stripped back tune that is full of electronic soul and infectiously bumpy drums and hypnotic vibes.

Finally minimal master Eastenderz and CatchRecordings associate Doubtingthomas is next with his vinyl only offering, going for a much more intricate, synthetic, richly designed deep house tune that is soft, succulent and truly sublime.

This is a fulsome package that packs plenty of punch and showcases exactly the sort of quality dance music that Akbal Music has been, and will always be, about.

Repress of long out of print triple LP from 2018

Disco Not Disco,Techo not Techno,Jazz not Jazz
6 L 6 & Co. Is a duo formed da Daniele Brenca e Salvatore Stallone: much into Jazz not Jazz with influences Post Psychedelic but also lately by darker "Techno not Techno" vibes

It's already well-known that Cocoon Recordings is a sucker for tracks that stand out of the usual field of - let's be honest - often uniformly reduced Tech-House, and the past nine years of the label's history have proven this sustainably. And the Rhein-Neckar area based team Flatner/Lopazz are again two hot candidates to leave their very special mark on the summer of 2009. After all, Circlemusic manager Alex Flatner is rocking the floors as a DJ and producer for already 10 years now, having been releasing for labels such as Harthouse or Black Nation, whereas the Heidelberg-born Stefan Eichinger aka Lopazz has made himself a name with releases on imprints from the likes of Output, International Deejay Gigolo and mainly Get Physical. Together they celebrate a very funky understanding for percussive Techno, which is setting highly meaningful moments for the primetime, particularly by means of lascivious vocals. 'I wanna take you all night long", for sure! And you definitely can't find a better expression for the perfect pounding symbiosis between bass-focused club stompers and economically dosed Pop elements than 'It's time to make up your mind".

the new jacek release on the legendary cocoon label !!!

Another utterly brilliant salvo from Friedman — after the Future-classic Masque, and the Pestle EP for Latency.Six kinds of musical occultism — transcendent and nocturnal, geometric but intuitive, like a djinn testing a logic map — nodding to Solomon and West's compendious book about near-death experiences.

Amazing Music are glade to introduce new artist Luis Martinez, very good talent from Colombia incl. very cool remix from Cesar Merveille (Cadenza Records)
