This spring time, Geneva's based artists LuLúxpo will launch their own record label, Paradise Children Records; the first EP 'Dirty
House' co-produced by the label Argent Sale will be released backed with a remix from fellow Bauchamp.Paradise Children Records is the latest project of LuLúxpo, also know as Loulou (Buenos Aires) and Pollux (Paris). The record labelwill release their own productions and that of friends around them. The first release is a co-production with the label Argent Sale, an electronic music audiovisual label founded by Schnautzi in 2010, based both in Geneva and Lyon. LuLúxpo and Schnautzi met a long time ago and became close friends over the years. Releasing 'Dirty House' together came to them very naturally, especially as the limitless producer Bauchamp - great figure of the label Argent Sale - made a dope remix of it. LuLúxpo have shared their DJ sets across Switzerland and the world since more than eighteen years. They've released a couple of EPs On Pro-Zak Trax, Mental Groove, Poor Records and Parissi La Musique before starting their own record label. They decided to share Music without depending on anybody else, free of any strings attached: Paradise Children Records will become your own musical paradise. The release kicks off with the original mix of 'Dirty House', a real tribute to House music of the 90s with electronic crazy percussions and a dirty strong bass. The track is faithful to LuLúxpo's music style: make people dance vs a sexy and bewitching groove. Bauchamp's remix lasts 7 minutes and is a subtle melting pot of different music genres, which describe according to him what Dirty House' music is all about. This summer sees British producer James Barnsley, a resident at the legendary Back to Basics in Leeds, launch his Vessel Records imprint with a release from himself featuring Scan Mode and a remix from Daze Maxim.

Having cut his teeth at 'Basics' playing alongside the likes of Chez Damier, Delano Smith and Josh Wink, Barnsley is well liked and recognised amongst the upper echelons of house and techno but its his productions for the likes of Get Physical, murmur and Overall Music that have helped provide a springboard for the Yorkshireman's rep. Vessel Records, as well as an outlet for Barnsley himself, will also release music from DJ W!ld, Burnski and Honesty in the coming months.

'In The Woods' is one of Barnsley's strongest works to date and pairs a laid back groove with an infectious hook and indiscernible spoken word sample in 'Dinadon'. Using an understated rhythm and eerie atmospherics HelloRepeat's Daze Maxim engineers a sullen vibe in his remix of 'Dinadon' before Barnsley teams up with Spanish producer Scan Mode in 'Colorado' for a hypnotic number incorporating an undulating lead synth and ethereal pads.

The mighty Machinegewehr returns with The Unforgiven, a four track 12 inch on Electronic Emergencies. Rotterdam's booming disco noir producer is famous for his clean but haunting electronic beats with synth-laden dreamy harmonies. On The Unforgiven, this results in two kicking club tracks with clear electro pop pep, an introspective and mesmerizing masterpiece and a perfect bittersweet pop song featuring the breezy and hazy vocals of frosty euro vixen Gees Voorhees.

London's Trelik returns to an artist perfectly in tune with the current stance of the British house and techno institution. OCH has been grafting in the European underground for more than ten years shaping out a truly formidable back catalogue.
He first appeared on Trelik with Whalesong in 2011, while he's also contributed to Baby Ford's equally revered PAL SL label on more than one occasion. In addition, highly-regarded outposts such as All Inn, Systematic and Bass Culture have all given OCH the stamp of approval, while his own Autoreply label has continued to be a vital facet on the frontline of the scene.
This latest three-track EP finds OCH on sublime form, working to a crisp, classic house template with the uncluttered precision one expects from a Trelik release. The title track struts proudly out in front with its hooky DX7 lead, while "More Journeys" builds up to a tougher, psychotropic blend. "Sunday Love" provides a perfect soulful tonic to round the EP off, rich with warm keys and irresistible shuffle. Mastered at D & M.

Marking a difference with the previous releases, the sixth chapter of the birdsmakingmachine saga comes as a two-tracker, announcing a special double pack that will be divided between BMM005 and BMM006.

The A-side of BMM 005, 'Icaros', is an elegant dancefloor warmer that encompasses all the signature ingredients of the birds, dreamy pads, jazzy hi-hats, metallic percussive elements and quirky Fx touches. On the flip side we find 'Inland Sickness', a slightly darker affair fusing together eerie pads, whooshing sound effects, forming an intricate net of sound layers with a refined industrial touch but still bringing the pressure to the floor with a solid drum pattern. BMM 005 is yet another example of the Birds' ability to craft miniature grooves with an attitude.

Over a year since their last release, birdsmakingmachine come back hitting hard with a diverse three-track EP ranging from deep to minimal house. The title track Deaf Crows' intelligently layers delayed snares and elaborate hihats into subtle analogue pads and melodies, resulting in a sophisticated, yet dj-friendly composition. At over 10min long, it's an endless rotation of industrial rawness that manages to melt into the smooth and rich textures for which the birds are known. Black Midget', on the flip, goes into darker depths, with an almost broken 4/4 beat underlying overly swinging rhythmic arrangements and hypnotic synth lines that reminisce some of the earlier BMM material. Finishing off the record is the simply titled Primos', offering a more minimalistic approach with its intricate arrangement of quirky arpeggiating melodies and playfully juggling hihats, closing off the EP in the neatest birdsmakingmachine fashion.

It's not a simple thing to write about your own tunes. Your concept is innate, the music itself is in your mind and comes out as a natural flow, talking about it is a different thing. This time I wanted to come up with something different for my new EP on Vakant. Something unexpected for the ones who know Cesare vs Disorder's sound. I wanted to make a few tunes that reminded me about those lost feelings of the 90s, when electronic music was made not only for the clubs but also for the soul and the mind, not directly for a purpose but as a natural answer to time and space. After the classic 'orientation' battle with head-honcho Alex we finally agreed on these tunes 'Vortex' and 'Unreason", one I would say more spaced out and heavy orientated, the other almost resembling those Electronica times when I really enjoyed flying with my brain and my emotions. We finally also agreed to add a couple of remixes of Vortex by Romanian rising star Cristi Cons and Italian talent Fango. They both delivered unique stellar interpretations and I am happy to present the project to the world.

Here comes the third release from Pit Spector's unique live-label concept.
This first part of a double Ep, Prospector #3, which features Ben Vedren, an artist whose work ethic
and approach to music is in perfect unison with Pit's.
Conceiving a new concept that pulls together production and performance, 2014 saw Pit Spector
throw a series of Prospector parties. For each soiree he invited a guest artist to his studio to work on
an exclusive live show for the club, as well as new music for the label. Through 2014, Pit and Ben
Vedren got together for a string of night-time jam sessions, and now they release the fruits of their
labour.
The synergy between the two artists couldn't be stronger, both have grown parallel to the Paris
scene, spending ten years maturing their sound, which is focused around micro house and minimal
techno - pushing that 'less is more' ethic to its limits.
First up we're presented with 'Rave -3000', which epitomizes the duo's ability to create depth within
a seemingly minimal composition. The energy pulsates and flows throughout, with the track's
repetitive nature emanating a hypnotic allure.
On side B we have 'Trek', a more 'heads-down' track, with somber keys and warped jazzy flourishes
keeping things lively.
Once again the vinyl includes the corresponding Prospector party poster - original artwork by Paris
street art legend O'Clock of New York's 156 graffiti crew, who, inspired by the energy of 80s blocks
parties, offers a raw and colorful manifestation of the music.

Lately added on this side a tool dub remix of Magma is included. On the other side, Edelweiss is a trippy session dedicated to improvisation around a strong beat.

After almost two decades, Dan Piu's album Self Education (MOTO 003) finally gets the vinyl treatment it deserves: The best tracks extracted from DAT tapes, pressed on wax and renamed to Living in Fear for Cartulis Music's fourth release. Even though the original and incredibly exclusive CD was heard and appreciated in the years around its release in 1999 from DJs such as Jeff Mills and Carl Craig, it was virtually impossible to own (only 30 copies were made, ever). Despite its rarity and status, Cartulis choses this masterpiece for one principal reason: The music. An exhibition of an innovative era, of heavy duty machinery (Roland Juno 60, Roland Juno 106, Roland TR-909 and EMU Vintage Keys, just to name a few) and of fine craftsmanship (using his own samples and playing the keys himself), the album opens your mind and ears to interconnecting styles of ambient atmospheres, electronic-instrumental hip hop, and signature dance-floor killers "Self Education" and "Living in Fear". Not only for fans of Dan Piu and his subsequent labels (Moto Music, deepArtSounds, No Acting Vibes) but for any music aficionado that appreciates a deeply cult classic.

With this series of releases we will focus on that warm up, early morning, after party gems and slowly fading away from peak time music. Our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. Music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory.
Aishuu by Shintaro.D was definitely our first pick for the first track on this release. As the first sides of our releases will be oriented on a more housy sound, he perfectly captures this philosophy in his track.
Fo Rest by Consep perfectly sits beside our opening track, again confirming that the first side of our release will be soulful, with all around housy vibe. We are really excited to have another member of the Ukrainian scene on our release, because we are really in love with their production.
Benshou by Kensuke Yasuhara is a really impressive track, with a breaky vibe and beautiful pads and is perfect for our B side, as we like it to be more minimalistic. Shintaro.D and Kensuke Yasuhara strongly represent the current Japanese scene and we are honored to have this guys on our label.
The Bitch Of Glitch by Claire is the final track on our second vinyl release. Being a bit different from other tracks on our release gives it that special place, as it nicely rounds up the variety that has been presented on this release. 

As a label who encourages exploration and collaboration, it was with great excitement that we received the new project of these guys. Mainly, at first because you find here the perfect amount of atmospheric elements with sustaining rhythmic. Both tracks fit in many situations, from building excitement and tension to creating a very special moment, using beautiful voices. In those two cases, both tracks here fit perfectly. While the title brings the idea "Everything is lost", this EP has everything ready to bring hotness to clubs.

Elephant Moon proudly presents Russian producer Plantae (Artyom Zlobin).. His love for contemporary electronic music came a little later in life, with early influences coming from the worlds of old rock, jazz, hip-hop and older electronic recordings. He has a deep-seated love for nature, and counts art, design, books and film among his inspirations outside of music. On this EP he channels all his influences into four nuanced cuts, straight from his laboratory to John Dimas, the head scientist at Elephant Moon.

The third truelovesounds vinyl is coming from our friend Alin Crihan - Bucharest/Romania. The "Grosso Modo" EP is an outstanding two tracker record which conveys some meaningful, compelling and ghostlike elements combined with its own groove and rythm. Limited copies

Chamber musicians, sound engineers and composers when rolled into one form a wonderfully organic sound. Definitions of musical style, compositional techniques or sound guises are rendered superfluous in light of this self-evident performance. Freedom in shaping electronic soundscapes, subtle mastery of acoustic instruments and the ability to integrate these into the overall analogue-electronic sound. ambiq creates floating states like Brian Eno or Moritz von Oswald, all paired with great groove sensibility, a superb human touch and world-class mastery of their instruments

TOMAGA channel various forms of multi-instrumentalism into music that moves by turns through industrial, jazz, psychedelia and minimalism, on it's way to somewhere wholly other. Devoted to musical exploration, this London based duo - Valentina Magaletti and Tom Relleen - obsessively deconstruct familiar tropes, looking for the tension that lies between improvisation and form.

Following the release of their second album 'The Shape Of The Dance' last September, TOMAGA will release a new four track EP 'Greetings from The Bitter End' which features two new songs and reworkings from good pals Shit & Shine and Cavern Of Anti-Matter. The impetus for the new EP came when the pair returned from recording the last album in Tuscany and acquired a marimba on arrival back in London, this unleashed a "tuned percussion journey" resulting in the mantra like 'Liberating Mania'.

The title track is a more ambient and atmospheric affair - a textured build up of percussive parts and features Rick Tomlinson on hornet. Always open to collaboration with outside bodies (as well as touring with the likes of Wire, Deerhoof and Silver Apples), the pair have previously been invited by Turner Contemporary Gallery to stage a performance using the artworks of Pedro Reyes (re-conditioned weapons confiscated by Mexican police from drug cartels and turned into instruments) as inspiration and also contributed a sound object to the Yoko Ono exhibition 'Lumiere De L'aube'.

Their next engagement comes from the invite of Thurston Moore who has recruited them for The Can Project, in which the duo will be performing as part of an ensemble fronted by the Sonic Youth singer and featuring previous Can members at the Barbican on April 8th. Curated by Irmin Schmidt, the event will be in honour of the late Can drummer Jaki Leibzeit, and will feature an orchestral reinterpretation of classic Can material alongside new work with the London Symphony Orchestra. 'I guess for most musicians, as far as arrangements, production and songwriting, it's impossible to ignore the importance and the influence of such a band. I don't think it reckless stating that their musical legacy will keep influencing generations to come. We are extremely honoured to be part of this project together with a string of incredible musicians.' Tomaga say of the event.
