As we slowly move towards springtime (hopefully) we wanna open the season
with a new combatant on the roster - Daniel Bortz. The young gun from
Augsburg is already known nationwide for his DJ-residency at the infamous
Rote Sonne Club in munich and his outstanding releases on Pastamusik.

Released on Damian Lazarus highly acclaimed Crosstown Rebels imprint 'Valor' tells a deeply personal narrative for Chilean born and Berlin based producer / DJ Dinky, her sixth album acts as a pinnacle to her steadfast and illustrious career and brought on a momentous change to her personal journey.
Esteemed for her work on labels such as Cocoon, Ostgut Ton ,Traum, Wagon Repair, Horizontal and Visionquest, and DJ residency at Berlin's infamous Panorama Bar for over a decade, Dinky AKA Alejandra Iglesias is a trained classical guitarist, singer and keyboard player. Her voice is an anchor to 'Valor', it's crisp definition loaded with intensity.
Tracks such as the driving single 'Casa' called out by US giants NPR for its 'gorgeously layered vocals' and the fragile layers of guitar and synths on cuts like 'Milk' make bold unions between sublime house and techno electronics and Dinky's live instrumentation.

RDV3 brings Deep Tech boss Duky to the helm with his track Chunk up the Groove. This track has his signature sound accompanied by 3 different remixes from Bodeler, Martin Dacar & Proudly People each stamping their own twist. You will also find he opened his WYS promo mix with this track. Exquisite as always enjoy.

Berlin's Ryan Davis has carved out a niche all of his own over the past 10 years, releasing exquisite melodic techno and electronica on revered labels Bedrock, Traum, and his own Klangwelt label. Along the way he's been championed by Sasha, Stephan Bodzin, Hernan Cattaneo and John Digweed, and collaborated with Max Cooper and Applescal. The 'From Within EP' marks his first original release on Anjunadeep following memorable remixes of Andrew Bayer and Olafur Arnalds.
The cinematic 'Paper Rockets' begins the EP in subtle fashion,
showcasing Ryan's talent for intricate production and mellow moods. 'Brun' a stand-out from last year's 'Anjunadeep 07' compilation has the hallmarks of an Anjunadeep classic, combining club-ready sounds with emotional melodies that tug at the heart-strings. 'Crawne' takes things deeper and darker, blending a chugging slo-mo groove with spacey atmospherics. Ryan takes things full techno on 'Undine' a peak-time cut laced with dystopian soundscape and driving drums. We return to cinematic ambience on EP closer 'Beyar', a stunning slice of deft melodies and vivid celestial samples.

Sie trafen den Regisseur Jalil Lespert erstmals, nachdem dieser bei einer Online-Recherche auf A Winged Victory For The Sullen gestoßen war. Als er ihre Musik hörte, wusste er sofort: Die beiden sind perfekt für meinen neuen Film! Man einigte sich darauf, einerseits im Bereich der analogen Elektronik mit
modularen Synthesizern zu experimentieren und andererseits mit einem großen Streichorchester zu arbeiten, um eine gleichermaßen moderne wie cineastische Klangpalette zu entwickeln. Auf Wunsch von Robert Raths, Labelgründer von Erased Tapes, wurde aus den 60 Minuten Material ein prägnantes, 41-minütiges Album herausgearbeitet. Das Cover gestaltete die Berliner Künstlerin Stephanie F. Scholz, die auch schon das Artwork für Nils Frahms "Music For The Motion Picture Victoria" kreierte.

Doublet is the production moniker of friends and musical partners Tomoki Tamura and Tuccillo, previously releasing together on other labels, they have come together to form the new eponymously named Doublet imprint as a channel for their own music. Tomoki and his Holic Trax label have long been serving up solid house music whilst Tuccillo has conjured up numerous Beatport chart toppers on labels like 2020Vision, Visionquest and Holic Trax. Here their unique style brings you back from classic house music to future minimalism and is sure to fill you with joy. Up first is the title track, a charming house shuffler with woozy synths, light footed percussion and skipping rhythms that give an off kilter and deep dancefloor vibe. 'Brother Other' is a slightly more physical affair with lumpy beats, tense synth crescendos and stiff snares that really encourage you to shake your limbs. Lastly, 'Buri Planet' is a deep and sensual number with clever vocals samples adding an element of pained soul, rubbery bass bringing warmth and golden synths and acid squelches building yet more character. This is accomplished, alive sounding house music that really does sound fresh. Doublet, then, is already off to a winning start. Vinyl Only.

What would it feel like to have your naked body slowly submerged in a pool of steaming acid One would expect unbearable pain, of course - beyond the limits of our imagination - but with his Acid Ambient Vol. 1 on Kontra-Musik, Daniel Araya proves us wrong. The EMS Studio Engineer and producer adjusts the intricate PH levels of this corrosive bubblebath with infinity skilled hands, making the experience thoroughly pleasurable - on the verge of erotic even. Your skin melts away with a sweet sensation of laxity and your muscles and tendons dissolve sensually slow. At the end, nothing will remain below the surface but the pleasure center of your now diffused brain, pulsating with unrestrained satisfaction. So come on in, the acid is fine.

After his release on MOC last year, Dudley Strangeways joins forces with Michael McLardy for their first joint EP on the label. Well known as the heads behind Leftback Records and frequent collaborators, they each contribute two original tracks in sheer concrete style.
Michael McLardy opens proceedings with Separation', a minimalist techno exploration that slowly builds up by the way of mechanical rolls and undulating synths. Kicking off with a playground noise sample, the bit fades away after the breakdown and is replaced with dark eerie guttural cuts, enhancing the overall gravity of the track. Another time' plays upon the same ambiental background sample, giving the piece a sense of familiarity. The build up, however, is loosely strung with ascending airy synths, while metallic percussion pads keep the groove grounded. McLardy manages to create an infinite sense of spaciousness that's cut off to an abrupt end, predicted only by a faint and hollow percussion lead.
Dudley Strangeways' first offering, Cast' is a moody slice of ambiental tech, with a slow pace aptly accentuated with piercing shrills and clangs. Hydra' takes us into the deep end of dark techno straight from the get-go with its pounding bassline. Crafted by layering minimalist yet memorable arrangement patterns, space is once again key. A classic piano lead makes its appearance halfway, giving the track an entirely new dimension and prolonging, yet never releasing the pent up pressure.

"Random Soundtrack" is a kind of extended field recording or sonic Écriture automatique. It's another attempt to search the point where music and found sounds intersect. "Random Soundtrack" is a sort of sister album to last year's "Vanishing Land". Similarly to its predecessor, it is a series of interfusing recordings, compositions, scraps of field recordings, ordinary connectors. However, while "Vanishing Land" was the result of laborious shuffling a well-known material, "Random Soundtrack" is an album created in its own right, almost unconsciously. Its framework was created by some forgotten compositions and improvisations found in the memory of the recorder which coincidentally shaped a whole by themselves. Several elements that were added later only developed this sketch in a similar manner to the idea of André Breton. The album that was created this way is in fact more a synthesis of real images than a surreal vision. Quasifilm aesthetics and seemingly hypnotic sound hide a worrying thought about capturing the image of the last quiet days of the chaotic world.

Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant is proud to present Uriah Klapter's debut EP. Hailing from Tel Aviv and a long-time member of the city's legendary Breakfast Club, each of these three deep techno tracks is tailored for late nights, long blends and otherworld hypnosis. With a decade of DJing providing him with the perfect tools to conjure spells on the dancefloor, Correspondant have fired the starter's pistol on what's likely to become a vast repertoire from the young Israeli artist -
Uriah catapults us into the misty ageless ether with 'Hashomer' where clicky drum machine elements start the motor and the bassline does the driving before a subtle-but-twinkling arpeggio and soaring synth commandeer the driver's seat. As the synth takes a sudden turn for the psychedelic, all your senses of time, space and place will vanish" Only to reappear as he brings it all back together on the climax.


'Cave' really plays with the mind. Treating the spectrum as a 3D playground, Uriah uses the fore/back axis as much as the left/right as rhythmic elements are placed just out of reach before gradually moving closer and closer and dense drums ricochet with total submersion.
Finally, we close with 'Written In The Mud', a joyously wonky house cut with beats so off-kilter they could make Burial blush. With its deep dubby bassline wrapping around the warped two-step and, there's a Music For Freaks style vibe running through the first half before the game is completely changed with a soaring space-aged synth that flips us from a straight-up groove to concentrated cosmic immersion.
Three distinct vibes, tones and messages for three distinct chapters of the night; the main theme here is Uriah Klapter's consummate understanding of dancefloor dynamics and the art of surprise, twists and innovation.

Sockholm-based imprint Swedish Brandy Productions serves up a pair of sultry house numbers
with a remix from Berger & Young.


Having released on the likes of Compost, Freerange, Delusions Of Grandeur, Room With A View, FINA and Eskimo,
Roberto Rodriguez has indisputably earned his stripes as a go to producer for quality house productions when not
running his own imprint Serenades. Similarly, Swedish Brandy Productions has cemented itself as a quality platform
for artists of deep and soulful aesthetics, hosting the likes of Ponty Mython, YSE and Eric Ericksson to name a few.


Stuttering synths and infectious clicks set the ball rolling in 'Broken' before a bouncy bass line, syncopated chord
progressions and pumping pads engineer a killer groove. Meanwhile, energetic organ stabs and a vigorous sub bass
construct 'Be Yourself' whilst it evolves with layers of catchy hooks and soulful vocal chops, gloomy atmospheres and

Not Waving's Ecstatic label catch Martin Jenkins (Pye Corner Audio) in Head Technician garb for a slippery set of slow, plasmic acid workouts that were originally issued on a super-limited tape,
and now sit heavy on wax.Over the years since he first mooted the PCA sound in 2010, Jenkins has used the Head Technician
alter ego as a sort of evil engineer Hyde analogous to his day-to-day Jekyll, a sort of hyperstitious studio partner in a time-honoured tradition of sleeve credits ghost chasing.
Where PCA's pieces may tend to be lustrous, optimistic, the Head Technician's Zones LP hems to the shadows of the 'floor with a furtive, noirish quality that works a treat in the right situations,
whether soundtracking gaslamp-lit raves or midnight street patrols seeking out ne'erdowells and laudanum dealers.
Fired on a classic trinity of Roland TR-606 drum machine with an MC-202 (a beast to program, he admits) and TB-303 to sequence his baselines, it clearly makes explicit reference to the early days
of Detroit techno and UK bleep 'n bass, but the vibe is more anachronistic, out-of-time, possibly thanks to his patented, lagging basslines and slowly unfolding arrangements, bridging that
imaginary, dilated gap between fuzzy dancefloor head melt and curtains-drawn next day gouch out.

After releasing his new album, Film of Life, late 2014, Tony Allen makes a bridge with modern club music through 2 remixes. House guru Ricardo Villalobos and partner Max Loderbauer present a rework of "African Man", in which they slowly drags it in a minimalist groovy mutation. On B-Side, rising Londoner Fort Romeau reveals a new facet of Tony's piece "Go Back", bringing deep graceful and elegant modern discoid rhythm mixed with Damon Albarn's silky vocals.

Credit 00 strikes back with four cuts between Jungle Funk and sublime Party bombs. "Tribal Rhythm Machine" starts off with subtle but effective drumming that works on the dance floor as much as it could be the soundtrack to your road trip to Utopia. Then there is "Curse Of The Medusa", a pretty rumbling track that takes full advantage of its super-funky vocal samples and almost explosive percussion action. "Voodoo Soup" fishes in muddy waters with Credit 00's distinctive drum work and tribal sounds from outer space. The final track "Snake Charmer" is building things up nice and steady. But when the hypnotizing synth melody breaks ground neither serpents nor dancers can resist. The artwork was created by Alexander Dorn a.k.a. Credit 00 himself.
