Dani Siciliano's latest album is self-titled for a reason, it represents a personal statement crafted by Dani's own hand - feeding off her accomplished past in experimental pop and electronica and reaching to new tones and timbres in a celebration of musical liberation. Culminating eight years of songwriting, production research and sonic exploration, Circus Company is proud to present Dani Siciliano's third solo album. Following her two previous solo LPs Likes...(2004) and Slappers(2007), Dani decided to focus on crafting as much of the album by herself as possible, working with just a few select musicians to round out her creative vision. As ever her captivating voice remains centre stage, and you can hear echoes of her earlier work with the likes of Herbert, The Soft Pink Truth, and Brooks tucked away amongst the folds of diverse instrumentation, but this is a record that sounds very much like its own beast. It's an album of love and unabashed soul that reaches enthusiastically to all the sounds that hold the greatest appeal to Dani. What strikes most about her latest creation is the way the production instinctively frames the narrative of her lyrics, neatly demonstrating the unfettered vision she has been able to realise on this project. New Release Information It's the balance of the unusual and the immediate that make this such perfect pop music and sits neatly amongst Circus Company's brooding musicianship of Nôze's recent Come With Us LP (on which Dani features), Nicolas Jaar and the ever-blurring lines between the avant-garde history of the label and its broad contemporary outlook. Track Notes: If there is a track that captures the multi-faceted sound palette of the record it is surely Blink, which fuses illustrious blasts of brass

nice deadmau5 styled techhouse ep

THE SOUND OF BELGIUM - THE COMPILATION = A sonic journey through 4 decades of wonderful and weird music that marked the spirits and minds of the 72hours partypeople tribe we call "The Belgians". A soundtrack compiled of atmospheres and emotions that sum up the soul and the essence of a country and a golden era in sound. Showcasing modern dancemusic's roots in Belgian danceculture with a crossection of eclectic, innovating or just plain hard hitting dancetracks. This IS the Sound Of Belgium...

all art has to be combined with the notion of outlast. this can be only realized when the energies of the expenditure do not disappear and get stored in the creation. to get this creative process started, an artist needs to open himself to the world collapsing upon him.

'a day in the life' - the brand-new ambient and beyond album by lawrence, confirms this assumption - yet no world really collapsed on the dj and producer from hamburg. instead his emotional perception danced upon friendship and wanderlust and he put together twelve tracks for an album dedicated to his long lasting relation to toshiya kawasaki, man of action behind labels like mule musiq, endless flight and mule electronic, and the artist stefan marx.

besides co-running the label dial and the mathew gallery in berlin lawrence is constantly releasing music on his own labels and befriended platforms like smallville records. furthermore the north german regularly contributes to kawasaki's imprints mule musiq and electronic. just recently he dropped the ep 'blue mountain' on mule musiq - a deep emotional foretaste of what 'a day in the life' delivers on album length.

the music he shares on his latest long player isn't linked to a special place or event. he mostly produced it up-road on his dj trips around the globe including toshiya's homeland japan. back in his cosy backyard studio in hamburg he finished all musical pieces and mixed them down with a lot of joy.

they are listening to great track names like "nowhere is a place" or "lost in joy", which allow in combination with the lovingly detailed sounds imaginative mind games. in terms of style ambient calls the tune and opens the genre into the wide open with the very own musical and emotive language of lawrence.

a track like 'nowhere is a place' spreads smoothly twisted spectral vibes with blurring sounds that could easily originate from alienated instruments like a damaru or a conch horn. lawrence himself keeps it secret and let the music speak for itself. sometimes soft sizzling noise slides under gentle balanced ambient air like in the track 'the visit'.

in other arrangements he let the chords dance with cute smacking electronic glimpses or odd slow-motion melodies remind on the work of hans-joachim roedelius and his love for the gentle swing.

all compositions float and sound like the improvisations of a virtuoso who has forgotten his virtuosity in order to drown real deep in his creations. for lawrence the album is 'a triple buddy record' as not only his emotional content is included in the finished product. also his friends stefan marx - who is in charge for the artwork - and mule musiq head toshiya kawasaki have been profoundly involved in the outcome.

'since ten years the three of us work together. the record shows this very nicely in terms of our love for ambient music and cover artwork. the cover shows stefan's sublet apartment in nyc - also a very ambient place.
the idea for the record emerged out of a sudden inspiration and this fits prefect to the way how toshiya runs a label where sharing a good natural wine is more important than marketing.'

lawrence confesses about the genesis of 'a day in the life' and its emotional content. it is a weightless one where all feelings are stored supremely in what you can hear, see and hold in hand. and they are not made for them alone. they are there to share.

Happy to welcome Le Loup ( Hold Youth, Half Baked, Concrete music) in the aeternum music family, still young and already many releases on known and respected labels. He delivers here two tracks full of grooves
in a housy touch that he knows well. While on the B side we are pround to have a remixer no less than Baby Ford ( Perlon, Trelik) which delivers a magical remix to close this EP in a perfect way.

Gone with the flow - after a little break the German musicians Julius Steinhoff and Abdeslam Hammouda revived their musical adventures and left all electricity untouched this time. For their new acoustic project the duo has chosen the alias Tonight Will Be Fine - a name that is familiar to those who followed their work in the past years. As Steinhoff & Hammouda they used the name for their first 12" on Smallville Records, the worldwide acclaimed house and beyond label and record store that Steinhoff co-runs. Now they reheated the phrase and chose it as the alias for a bittersweet acoustic singer/songwriter project. Their wonderful, captivating new musical venture came into life due to happenstance and old ferventness. After their trips into house music the duo parted geographically. Hammouda moved away from Hamburg while Steinhoff strengthened his label Smallville, built up a global DJ career and produced acclaimed house records on diverse labels - solo and with his buddy Dionne as Smallpeople. In all the time Steinhoff and Hammouda never stayed out of touch, bound together through deep friendship.

At some point they met again for musical missions and started to record music that had nothing in common with their prior work. Steinhoff re-activated his self-taught guitar abilities and entered the studio of his friend Lawrence in the back of the Smallville record store to capture some steeldrums and vibraphone sounds. Hammouda brought more instruments like a banjo, a violine and tablas and they just started to record sketches and songs. Hammouda's musical backround leads to a widespread range of influences while growing up, before he got into producing hip hop and electronic music. For Steinhoff, the transformation from an electronic music producer into a singer/songwriter wasn't that new too, as his first musical steps have been routed in band music. Until his late teenage years, when he discovered house and techno, he played drums in a local indie group in Freiburg and for Tonight Will Be Fine he now also freed his old drum kit from cellar dust.

After the duo felt that their musical communication elevates into something more profound then a session thing, they provided themselves with additional instruments like new guitars, claves, an accordion, a piano and more. Initially the songs were very rough and sketchy. Musical ideas that did not have a real song structure. Then we started to arrange the tracks and added our voices and lyrics.' both reveal. Their charming singing covers almost the whole album with a characteristic sense of deep winking melancholy. Their lyrics are exercising the possibilities of words and are inspired by life, the world and all the those questions a human can ask in his time on earth. At some point both started to show their new songs to some friends and they liked it and encouraged the duo to move on. Somehow one of the tracks landed in Toshiya Kawasaki's mailbox. He instantly fell in love with it and asked if they would like to do an album for Mule Musiq. They did what was asked and after some reformatting and reinventing Tonight Will Be Fine originated 13 songs full of sweeping acoustic guitars, airy rhythms, piano melodies, gloomy accordion emotions, touching voices and a bunch of other exotic instruments, done without the help of electronics. They all form Elephant Island' - an incredibly inspirational place where impressionistic lyrics dance gently with kinetic acoustic music that comes out of plain jamming fun. The melange of a structured song base and free improvisation injects all songs a loose feeling. And shows two handsome fellas carving out their own musical utopia. It is a warming one, full of hope and musical freedom powered by an unabashed instrumental playfulness.

Oslo-head Federico Molinari kicks into 2014 with a massive two-track EP. The A-side, which is home to Painful, contains the main track of the EP. The track starts slowly with a subtle bass und eerie samples, but then, shortly after the first bars of complex drum patterns, a haunting voice whispers "Painful, Painful ..." Finally, these chords flip in and you can actually see the crowd swinging in your mind. This track is one of the most outstanding releases, we've ever had on OSLO, so check it out and make sure you don't forget to play it out loud. Git Atte on the B-side is a mind-blowing and trippy after hour weapon! Classy drums and a funky bassline are the basement for spooky samples, which fly through the sounddesign. This track is a perfect addition to the A-side and we think everyone will appreciate this wonderful EP.

Harmonisch, treibend, tanzbar: vier Tracks des Berliner Techno-Projekts.

Haarp Da war doch was.

Blossom Kollektiv returns to vinyl once again after the success of Jepe's 'Spring Shadow,' this time around inviting House and Techno veteran Matthias Vogt to the label. The two-track EP of finely crafted melodic and emotive Techno features remixes from Oliver Gehrmann and Jepe and is sure to find its way into DJ bags world wide.

Starting the EP off on a strong note with Solace, Matthias Vogt takes us on a magical journey like we're floating in the clouds with a driving kick and lush melodies that keep us soaring through the sky into a land of beautiful and lovely emotions. Then just when we feel like we're about to fall the track uplifts us once again into a place of cosmic bliss with rich piano notes full of substance.

Playing with the rich piano notes of the original Oliver Gehrmann creates his own vision of Solace bringing a deeper and more after hours feel. The track takes us through the elements of the original but reworking it ever so slightly while never losing the strong emotional sense of the original.

Next we come back to Matthias with Fluorescence where we once again are whisked of to a fascinating place full of melody and care free attitudes. However don't let this allure fool you, powered by a heavy kick drum and tight percussion this track will work wonders on any peak hour dance floor bringing a sense of euphoria to the crowd.

After returning from our blissful land Jepe brings us right to the floor with his straightforward house version of Fluorescence. Putting his stamp all over his version using classic piano stabs and funky percussion to make the track uplifting in a rhythmic way, then subtle synths from the original peek their heads out to create a little drama and suspense until the slamming kick drum kicks back in making the crowd move.

Andras Toth is not a nu-school producer. Please refrain from adding "up-and-coming" to his biography. He has arrived.
With his second full solo-EP on Alphahouse Records, he presents a varied and captivating look into the mind of an accomplished musician.
