House Vinyl New Releases - News

PONSACTRILAU, the new label of RICO PUESTEL is setting in, coming strong and distinct! After highly acclaimed releases on PIMPRINELLA or San Francisco's very own MOTHERSHIP, RICO PUESTEL strengthens his musical vision of deep and storytelling electronic compositions, wandering through the realms of house - represented by the two originals ROJA DRIFTS BY (a relentlessly inspiring and vast scenery, based on one mighty orchestral foundation) and SOUTH SERPENTINES (a cheerful and synth-frisky journey). Accompanied by TIMO JAHNS, living out his very own and unique way of a strong rhythmical presence combined with gently floating atmospheres in his interpretation of ROJA DRIFTS BY. Sheer bliss!

Bang for your buck, 3 for the price of 2 - proper house tunes from the Escapism Musique Headquarters including EMV005 / EMV006 / EMV007

Written & produced by Sebastian Werle & David Nicolas aka Sedee. Additional Remix by Andrei Ciubuc. Mastered by Lopazz.

Cleveland is the nom-de-guerre of upcoming Luxembourgian producer Andrea Mancini. Atlas is his Hivern debut, in which he delivers 3 new productions that keep broadening his evocative sound. Builded around the warm tones of analog synths such as the Roland Juno 106 and the Korg Polysix, Cleveland's productions have an overall dreamy feel without losing its dance floor focus. The title track is a perfect example of it. Starting with sparse bongos and a discoid steady bass, Atlas keeps growing with interlaced arpeggios and whimsical pads that rise the tension without sounding overly epic. If you've been to one of John Talabot's sets in the last months, you've probably already danced to it. Shine and Mercury share a similar palette, the former asserting the cosmic edge of the EP with its expansive arpeggios and the latter introducing a darker twist with icy melodies and ravey breaks. Atlas comes wrapped in a sleeve by Donostia-based design studio Cosas Primo.

Troubling up with our man Cliff again. Be on the l00k out for very big balls in the early summer of '15.

Oscillat Music is back with the mighty Danish Producer, Kasper Marott.

The Roger Ep consists in 2 tracks, delivered by the production team-up Vlad Radu, Martin Glowacz and Nils Weimann, with an additional remix by Michael Melchner. All three tracks are different in terms of structure and harmonic elements, everything being combined in such a way that music can be enjoyed at home or on the dancefloor

Italian producer Thomas A.S. is set to release his latest EP, 'North Lake', on the rising Beirut based label Fantôme de Nuit.

Not one for elaborate biographies or fancy press packs, twentysomething year old Italian producer Thomas A.S. simply prefers to let his music speak for him. And when you are constantly releasing tracks
like the ones that make up his upcoming North Lake EP, a string of fancy words are the last thing you need.

Thomas opens up his latest with North Lake', the EP's title track, and wastes no time at all. Clocking inat over nine minutes, others might ease into a release, but A.S. gets straight to business. With a massive kick propelling the opener forward, the young Italian constructs his track around the big fourtothefloor beat. Crisp percussion gives way to spacey stabs, before a perfectly executed vocal sample freshens things up again. Make no mistake, the track is a long one, but its durations passes by like nothing, ultimately compelling the listener to rewind this absolute belter.

Every Time You Fall' begins with a mix of smart clanks and some big waves of bass. The two work together to envelope the track and by the time to kick drops in, you're already nodding along. Significantly darker than the opener, Every Time You Fall' has a menacing vibe. Thomas continues to build and break the track down, each time introducing a new element to the party. It's easy to imagine the track going off at the darkest of clubs in the early hours of the morning.

Nick Devon is first to step up on remix duties with his interpretation of North Lake'. Although the mix takes more of techy twist, it's the enormous bass lines that really stand out here. His use of heavy delay and clever pads make for a delightful build up just before the track drops out near the halfway point.Reduced to bare percussion and and a deep synth line it floats in mid air for seconds before slamming back to reality.

London based duo Daylomar wrap the release up with their take on Every Time You Fall'. Stripping thethe track down to its most prominent features, the duo introduce some clever drum programming to mix things up. Their version of Thomas' menacing bside, is significantly lighter and offers a beautiful variation to the original mix. The use of airy synths breathe new life into the original and make for a remix with legs of its own.

Anyone who takes it upon themselves to contemplate over the history of house music, along with its highlights and key players, will inevitably stumble upon DJ Pierre's name sooner or later. The Chicago-born producer and DJ has been living and breathing underground dance music, namely house, since its inception in his very own hometown. For this very special Get Physical release, we've decided to pay homage to DJ Pierre's contribution to the worldwide dance community by way of an epic re-release of that most iconic of tracks, ‚What is House Muzik'. Originally released in 1994, the classic gets the Get Physical treatment with a slew of remixes in celebration of house music's eternal place in our hearts and its resurge in popularity amongst today's club goers. A special-edition vinyl born of a very special digital compilation. The union of many celebrated artists in honor of a landmark of house music -namely, DJ Pierre's ‚What is House Muzik' - gives way to what we have here: 36 minutes of pure, unadulterated Villalobos at his most characteristic. 36 minutes of a master's knack for deconstructing and putting back together in the most abstract of ways. Ricardo Villalobos asked himself What is House Muzik and the answer took him to a deep, dubby land that he walks us through for all of 36 minutes, complete with bubbling rhythms and bone-dry kicks. 18 minutes on each side and a good long while to ruminate on that now almost-metaphysical of questions: What, indeed, is house music Here's one answer. As for the motive behind such an important release Well, DJ Pierre puts it best himself: 'I'm very happy 'What is House Music' is being re-released and I'm extremely satisfied that it's in great hands with Get Physical. I think people are trying to re-discov

Over ten years passed, and here we are with a 30th release on Warsaw's Recognition Records. The artist here is... Recognition, which is both new and old alias of label boss, Jacek Sienkiewicz. After years of experimenting and pushing further the boundaries of modern dance music, from minimal to truly maximum complicity, Jacek decided to go back to the very roots of primal, raw club music without losing his trademark, multi-layered, highly sophisticated sound.

Who would have thought that, when OLIVER KOLETZKI released his 'Blackout' EP as SVT001 almost eight years ago, Stil vor Talent would reach the catalogue number 100 With our 100th release, we can look back on lots of fantastic music, music by artists who have become part of a close-knit family of friends. We hear the surprising and unexpected, as well as a signature sound in constant development. Here, on the first of two vinyl releases we showcase some of the highlights of 'Oliver Koletzki Presents Stil vor Talent 100'. Classy and understated, SASCHA BRAEMER shines on 'Need Someone' featuring STEVO, a laidback, subtle and utterly beautiful track on the A-side. With 'Thinking About You', KELLERKIND then provides a fine nu disco bomb that re-contextualizes classic strings and harmonies in a contemporary framework, while focusing on his trademark sound and a catchy vocal sample. Staying true to our philosophy, we also warmly welcome some new faces to the family. The Berlin-based duo of MARLON HOFFSTADT & HRRSN kick off the flip side with the positively poppy 'Once Again', on which HRRSN's vocals make for a definite highlight. Last but not least and heavily anticipated, 17-year-old JONAS MANTEY's 'Sie ist Schön' exemplifies an impressive command over melody and arrangement - emotionally charged, tearjerkingly beautiful.

It's that time again at CCB headquarter for reaping the harvest of another good year for the label.
The "Paris Club Music, Volume 3" is here and the journey is better than ever. Once again the full crew worked hard to deliver this time a more contemplative yet still percussive set of tracks exploring the dance music of tomorrow. First in the field Bambounou and French fries teams up for "Mizu Ni Idou Suru" an intimate slow mo thing playing with intricate rhythm textures and dusty key stabs fading away in the back. Aleqs Notal use some lush pads in "Ceos Vision" melted with delicate tribal percussions who would perfectly fit in a 8 A.M. set. Next in line is the digital voodoo vibes from "Ceremony", in this mental track Coni uses a more dubby approach to the sound, mixed with and industrial feel to it. Jean Nipon continues the party with a houser number, "Onibaba" focusing on soft elusive strings going through melancholy and a slightly more club oriented euphoria. Then there's the beautiful sonic schizophrenia of NSDOS in "Créteil Soleil" an hymn to the body and mind, full of modern bleeps, vapors and factory noises. In "Vertigo" the boys from Aethority invite us into a druggy haze where psychedelic drums and chords invade your brain slowly but surely. Closing the compilation, "Inorganic", is a playful jam where Manaré toy with effective repetitions and short accidents while sporadically cut by a sharp and filtered bass line. Mostly made of introspective cuts, "Paris Club Music, Volume 3" take the label aesthetic further than ever to a more mature and advanced way of thinking about dance music."

With no sign of ceasing, Ministry of Sound returns the legendry series for its 7th consecutive year. Chilled House Session 7 is released on the 12th February, with a tracklist set to out-do its last. Forward-thinking laidback club anthems has seen a mass rise in popularity with the summer 2015 emergence of Tropical House, and with that, listeners are yearning to fill their ears with something as suitably on-point from winter through to spring.

The 2 CD compilation features the greatest names in dance, woven together with forward-thinking remixes and alternative cuts. From number 1 artists like Sigala, Ellie Goulding and KDA, to new and established names from Disclosure, Duke Dumont and Claptone, Chilled House Session guarantees not to disappoint its dedicated and loyal following. I walk around in the solar field. From here, the surrounding beams look like cylinderthick, motionless rain or comet tails painted onto the sky. The tower is all white because the sunrays are pointing directly at it, white in an erased way, like if you leave an empty patch on a drawing, and surrounded by a halo. I go over to one of the sun mirrors. It's huge and darkish and cold when I touch it. I don't know if it's cold and immune to the sun or transfixed in a much more extreme way than the desert. A solar plant can take much more sunlight. It has direct access, like a clip through into the thing outside. The widest zone, like the highest point when it's lightning. The sunlight is magnetic. Intense heat from the mantle pushing against the crust to get closer to the sun.

... the diving' occurs when the flexible part of the larger container is pressed inwards, increasing the pressure in the larger container, causing the diver' to sink to the bottom until the pressure is released, when it rises back to the surface ... Felix Kubin presses the sound of the cartesian diver to the surface, which generate three music masterpieces: I can't sleep", an ode to insomnia, Polarisation", two poles of Kubinski dadaism and Taucher", which starts very deep under the sea and struggle with full pressure and energy to the surface. The cartesian diver is alive! All tracks by Felix Kubin, A1 features Vocals by Giada Pesce, Mastered by Rashad Becker. Available only on vinyl!

Flip the disc for "Long John" which features stripped rhythms with plenty of swing and energy - equally suited to the main room or afterhours. Mastered at D & M.

This 12" features a remix from Ricardo Villalobos who tones down the vocals from the original mix & combines them with old-school Chicago style keys that wouldn't sound out of place on a vintage Glenn Underground production. Tough, stripped down beats accompany this, building effortlessly as the composition progresses making it one of 2010's most eagerly anticipated remixes from the great Chilean

NEW RELEASE ON FOOM, THE LABEL BEHIND THE ARTHUR RUSSELL INSTRUMENTALS SHOW WHICH CONTINUES TO PLAY MAJOR FESTIVALS AROUND THE WORLD....

Bruno Pronsato's debut album as Archangel, The Bedroom Slant, released in 2014, saw the producer update the style he has developed over the last decade on labels such as Hello Repeat, Perlon, DFA and The Song Says, and in the process, manifesting his love of pop, rock and post-punk in his music for the first time. On this EP, selected album tracks from the debut Archangel album are reworked by Dean Blunt, Peter Gordon & Oliver Coates.

Limited 1000 copies repress in gravity grey vinyl with printed innersleeve and download code.

Burek's sister label Barba on its fourth release introduces Heinrich Dressel, project related working name of Valerio, a force behind MinimalRome label from Italy. His productions have been gaining serious attention amongst deeper electro connoisseurs who appreciate almost cinematic feel but still with an eye on the floor which resulted in quite a few moody smashers released on various EPs in the past. Three tracks here evoking familiar feelings heard before but still somehow they all sound fresh and drag you in wanting for more. As if this wouldn't do it, there is first but, not last appearance for Barba label by mighty JTC who needs no further introduction delivering a remix. This time he cleverly uses sparse but recognizable parts of title track which he then transforms into relentless floor shaker where Detroit meets Chicago, if any such comparison needs to be made. Aquatic stuff!

Alex Font presents to society his new label acme through this EP which, called "Introductory", contains three of his own tracks. They're only published on vinyls, with only 250 limited edition copies and and with a wink on its cover from the suprematic Russian painter Kazimir Malevich... Or is it abstraction from Piet Mondrian and Wassily Kandinsnki You can tell that Font is a modern art enthusiast and he uses it as a global and constant source of inspiration, impregnating everything with it. We can find this artist in three different states, but always just as enjoyable from his club work, which identifies Alex Font's work 100% in 2015. His search for quality, whatever the price, is noticed in his first acme release in which he offers the underground Dj's some useful, mixable and enriching tracks for their sessions; that's his main motivation. The track that starts off the EP -"Sounds on Canvas"- is a sound that makes you travel assigned to the slow tempo underground house - which the listener can empathise with from the first beat. His percussive minimalism, which with a lot of care allows him to add various elements from his musical corpus, contributes to his style which contrasts with his quality from his musical soul. The acid touch -in the metallic bubble- from the last part of his track which is done with a futuristic feeling suits him perfectly. Well, its not a normal subject -and away from the mainstream- ideal to launch a promising series. On the other hand "The Rhythm" is the perfect tool for DJ's who love "real house", its charming outline which looks back without any anger can adapt perfectly to any warm up session or to those early hours of the night when anything can happen. As a DJ like Alex Font he knows the beauty of these tracks, that as a tool -they seem to fit into any set contributing to it with steadiness, brightness and magnificence. Beware, the emotion from his nature should only be stopped if a body appears moving to his sounds! Finally, with "Into the Flux" we'll find the artist finishing off with a Detroit feeling that seduces you from the first beat. We're talking about a dark and technoide track that drops like a bomb into the gravitational center of the dance-floor. Without truce and attacking the heart, the mind and feet are in unison and very efficiently. Its playful percussive fanfare gives it a dislocated and fun feeling which is, without a doubt, the best bit about this track that is purely Alex Font sound.
