House Vinyl New Releases - News

SATSANG is the truth. A vinyl imprint of unknown origin, drops a 2 track 12" on 180g cut at 45rpm on each side. Limited to 300 copies. This is a split series record, with tracks coming from PABLO MARCO & NOEL JACKSON. Two amazing house tracks fit for those late night sets. Bang it! Digital will be released in 365 days from the release date via BitTorrent.

A pioneer of the darker side of electronic experimentation, Troy's A-side 'Softcore' is anything but: a haunting, chugging peak-time production with a music DNA consisting of twisted strands of EBM, techno, and industrial, with a hint of dub thrown in for good measure.
B-side 'The Dangers With Strangers' is an equally powerful effort; its depraved machine funk and distorted tales of strangers provide a visceral exploration into the depths of hedonism. Having debuted with a release on Oliver Huntemann's Ideal Audio label, elusive Bristol producer Dubspeeka (perhaps more famously known as one part of British group Kosheen) delivers a stripped down yet driven interpretation of Troy's original, reinforcing the reasons why his productions have been exciting a number of the techno elite over the past year. Chloé - a recent addition to the Items & Things Booking Agency - needs little introduction. Typically poised between genres and aesthetics, the Kill The DJ founder and ex-Pulp resident rounds off proceedings with a remix that is as atmospheric as it is club-suitable, a reflection of her unique eclecticism that couldn't be more at home than with Items & Things.

The Untold Stories record series, a new project steeped in spirituality, shares its first offering: a double 12" collection of single works by artists in moments of much magic, featuring: Easy Changes, Jonas Sella, Marteaux, Cesare Marchese, Howl Ensemble, Laurine Frost & Andrey Zots, Rainer, and DoubtingThomas. 8 tracks aflush with strong primal rhythms and distinct spirit, sure to enliven and move. A shared tone of natural warmth exists throughout this release of bold character, beginning with the jaunty groove of 'Aralon' by Easy Changes, followed by DoubtingThomas with a more mystical story of love lost in 'Adelaide'. B1 by Jonas Sella; is the simply irresistible 'Le monde de six lances'. Followed by Marteaux with a laid back and confident vibe, traversing through a dream filled state in 'Let it float'. The second record begins with a Laurine Frost & Andrey Zots track filled with trade mark touches of brass, rolling percussion, and futuristic bursts giving release, all in an unusual and satisfying mob style. Then 'Sixes & Sevens' by Cesare Marchese, a momentous rhythm of strong stances, with serene moments amidst a tribal percussion. The collection comes to its end with two mysterious, and slightly darker works by Howl Ensemble (Giovanni Verrina, Germano Ventura, Gabriele Carassio) and Rainer.

OdD Music are back with the 'Photosynthesize EP'. ODD004 is a further exploration into the deep rooted house cuts we know and love. This time there are two tracks from OdD themselves, and two from Bucharest based producer Barac. Four tracks of rattling, rolling percussion packed into a gorgeous gate-fold double pack!

since his first ep tips' on luciano's label cadenza in 2007 producer and dj petre inspirescu emerged into one of the key figures of the romanian electronic music scene.

so far he released music on labels such as vinyl club, lick my deck or amphia. together with his buddies rhadoo and raresh he also launched in 2007 the label (a:rpia:r) -  a platform where he, his two friends and many producers from romania and abroad released detailed grooving house and techno, that stands out with delicate structures and one-of-a-kind grooves.

both of his more dance floor oriented solo albums intr-o seara organica...' and gradina onirica for (a:rpia:r) are enlarged with melodies, sounds and harmonies that go beyond the usual characteristics of a dance album.

furthermore his love for classic musicians like mily alexejewitsch balakirev, alexander porfiryevich borodin or or nicolai andrejewitsch rimsky-korsakow can be felt in the album padurea de aur (opus 2 in re major) and two more eps that he released under the alias pensemble on the romanian label yojik concon in order to unite classical spheres with analogue electronic music production.

in february 2013 he also released his highly acclaimed fabric mix cd that only features dance floor leaning music produced by himself. with talking waters' he published in late 2014 his first 12inch on mule musiq that is now followed by the full-length album vin ploile' which he produced without the intention to entertain with easy to hook up rhythms, melodies and harmonies.

even tough he established himself as a internationally playing house dj that regularly performs at all major clubs, festivals and other party destinations around the globe: as a musician petre inspirescu always tries to enter new territories to explore with a heartfelt human touch the infinite space of sound.

for his latest album the man that originally comes from the eastern romanian town braila stepped away from his former experiments of melting classical spheres with electronic music. instead the 36-years old man from bucharest only used some piano, string and wind instrument elements and analogue electronics to arrange a gracefully deep ocean of sound.

all slow grooving tracks spread the atmosphere of live improvised sessions that are edited, tweaked and mixed to perfection. in-the-moment moods of strange and unusual analogue synth sounds groove in a fluid quality with subliminal bass shapes, latinate percussions, jazz rhythms and acoustic melodies.

together they create a gaseous kinetic atmosphere full of tangible rhythm patterns, delicate chords and ghostly modular synth pads - all mixed subtle to create space for the tones between the tones.

you can call it a hypnotic after hour album for after hours that are dedicated to a deep listening experience. you can tag his arrangements as brilliantly textured and musically super-charged ambient, which goes beyond the usual definition of the genre.

all nine suspenseful compositions seduce with a deep melodic sensibility, harmonic adventures and an overall rhythmic ambiance of freshness and laidback enthusiasm. together they represent a challenging auditory experience that will resonate in your mind long after the music has finished.

After 20 years in the rhythm of our weekend's heartbeat, it is now time to also share that beat by creating the Muna Music record label. The label will be a platform to release music by friends and musicians who are close to the club. Musically it's about the free cosmos between dub
and techno in its natural beauty.
It all begins with a compilation for the 20th anniversary of Muna. With
a fine and small selection of tracks combining the feeling of 20 years
at the club.
The story will continue in the coming months with future exclusive
limited edition vinyl releases, which will share some of the more
beautiful things in this big bad music business. Of course, we are not
reinventing the wheel or trying to change the world but our mission is
always to make everything more beautiful !!!

Cure Music brings you hints on a hidden, underground network connecting Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, and Berlin's dancefloors. Feel the healing effect of lively beats and vaporous atmospheres in a trip in time and space. Helmed by Felipe Valenzuela and Momo Trosman.

Due to the release of Dial Record's 15 years compilation "All" one track seemed to be the most particular and praised: Dawn Mok's "Like Thought Or Moments We'll Fall"- an intensely touching piece produced by Berlin based artist Felix Mura. The label is honored to release the full length debut album "Eternal Love" a journey into deep and dark shades of future R'nB. Within a year of production and sound design, including the the mixing of Finland's Ville Haimala aka Renaissance Man, Dawn Mok created a milestone of contemporary dance musicand beyond. The Mastering by Rashad Becker (Pan Recordings) brings the longplayer to perfection and a disturbing artwork by artist Dan DeNorch completes a wonderful & surprising release.

3 years after his groundbreaking album 'the meaning' (Playhouse, 2004) Thomas Melchior presents his new longplayer 'No Disco Future". Skills and experiences Thomas gained throughout the years are innumerous. The new album sounds less microhousy and more homogeneous. Slightly spherical soundscapes perfectly unite with discreet vocals building very harmonical structures...

4x STL LOCKED GROOVE REMIXES - ONLY SECOND TIME HE HAS DONE REMIXES IN HIS CAREER! AND FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF VINYL THAT ORIGINAL TRACKS WERE ABSTRACTED INTO LOCKED GROOVE REMIXES!! (ONLY VINYL)
A quest for form which is never static and accompanied by two constants - repetition and reduction. Reduction requires repetition in order to make the intangible tangible for man. This repetition also stimulates our perception and helps us find an inner self while illuminating towards the primal thought. Another synonym for 'intangible' is 'not human' - for the most reductive of primal thoughts, sprung from fractal chance, does not deal with human beings but with a formal language that is universal, drawing from the innermost, and only becomes tangible in accidental, fortuitous moments. Our efforts to free this formal language, by means of fragmentation, from the human conventions that bind us to overabundance, turns out to be - in our limited human perception - a never-ending search for artistic discovery. Repetitive Juxtaposition LP takes up two individual, but in their essence mutual, interpretations of seeking and breaking form, and places them - not opposite but next to each other.

Peder Mannerfelt joins the Ultimate Hits crew with four tracks of cold, rhythmic, electronic work-outs. Deceivingly minimal and effortless upon first listen yet complex and deftly executed upon closer examination. Limited to 300 copies, hand printed sleeve.

Manuel Göttsching Live in a terrific Japanese setting: Mount Fuji. Concert from 2006. Includes high class Sound Recording and highly sought after tracks like Shuttlecock' and many more. Manuel Göttsching may not have released as many albums in recent decades as he did earlier in his career but when he does release something new, it's always something special. Manuel's latest release was recorded live in April 2006 during an excellent solo concert near Japan's Mount Fuji. Manuel performed the entire concert alone accompanied by stunning visuals by a polish graphic artist and he also dug into his back catalog coming up with new arrangements of classic material. The album opens with Sunrain' which was originally from the 1976 classic New Age of Earth". The familiar hypnotic sequencer pattern is already in place however on this new version, Manuel takes it in a slightly different direction and extends the piece to nearly 15-minutes."Saint and Sinner' is a more recent piece, which was originally heard on the 2005 release Concert for Murnau". This laid back piece is taken a step up from its studio counterpart as Manuel adds a bluesy Clapton-esque guitar lead that wasn't there before."Trunky Groove' is a brand new piece composed for this concert and is a showcase for the psychedelic music style that was the norm for Manuel back in his very early days in Ash Ra Tempel. A techno-style rhythm is accompanied by a long drone and intense orchestrations before giving way to an effects-drenched guitar solo. Die Mulde' is a 20-minute excerpt from Manuel's long-form 1997 piece of the same name. It begins with the Die Spiegel' section of the piece and shifts into the closing Zerfluss' movement. As with Saint and Sinner", Manuel adds a guitar lead which wasn't in the original version. Finally, to close the album, we have yet another arrangement of the classic Shuttlecock' which originally is from the 1977 masterwork Blackouts".

Sven Väth . Sound of the 16th Season
People have their personal rituals. Leaving the International Space Station Russian space travelers left some bread and salt as a welcome gift for their American colleagues. Tennis star Serena Williams bounces the ball exactly five times before her first serve. Our beloved master of ceremony of techno music, Sven Väth, has a ritual as well: When the shadows on the island Ibiza grow longer and the noise of the summer is about to fade away, he takes a couple of days off and reminisces the passing season, the parties, the crowds and the music: What were the craziest, the most outrageous, most beautiful moments Which situations, which encounters inspired me What did we laugh about And of course: what was the best music Which tracks accompanied me and my Cocoon People during those intense weeks Väth assembles those magical tracks for the sixteenth time this year merging them into two and a half hour set.
With "Sound of the 16th Season", Väth brings together friends from CocoonLs environment, as well as long time companions from all over the world and young, aspiring musicians. Väth opens with DJ Koze's "XTC": Through a cloudy, blurry soundscape, a captivating melody begins to talk to us. This exceptional piece of music manages to merge contradictory feelings. Väth uses it to set an emotional anchor, to what is at stake. Matthew Dekay plays a single cello chord to wait for a short moment. Those seconds of silence turns the track into a poetical starting signal. Väth stops the grooves harshly and sets a new tone, with "Next Please" by Metaboman, a high-spirited, twisted, funny, electronic polka. With the outrageous techno soul of Kevin Saunderson and Carl Craig the legendary Detroit honchos turn play into drama. Jacob Korn takes this thread and adds melodic Detroit sounds releasingthe tension with a jazzy, experimental gesture. With Leon Vynehalls reduced gospel, the set reaches a spiritual moment, which is driven on by Aaron with his wonderful, driving "Whatcha Say. The beautiful passionate voice says: "That's what you say.h Singing the line over and over again, it turns into confirmation, reminder and some kind of warning. With the pretty, quiet "Do not disturb Bjorn" Väth allows us to pause for a moment. Beloved for his delicate sound textures, John Tejada extends the shades of the subdued mood. Mattheis turns it into something different in a very subtle way, using penetrating strings with an anthem like quality. With Patrick SpeckeLs & Daze MaximLs contribution, Väth brings the set down on the groove to move into the finale of the first part: "Drifting" by Jacek Sienkiewicz puts us with beautiful, delicate sounds in a state of childlike enchantment. Ricardo Tobar implements this unique feeling using wider, soft, springy sounds, which let us float like a balloon. VäthLs second set takes off with Tim Green's "Eclipse": a happily boasting bassline leads us through a charming house groove. Alex Smoke transformed this curiosity into cockiness using vigorous acid sounds. Heartthrob breaks the playful energy with cool electronic sounds, which escalate into a furious snare drum thunderstorm. Tim Wright emerges further into inexhaustible deep space of electronic sounds, employing a screeching electro bassline with a twinkle in his eye. Deetron picks us up with overwhelmingly positive tribal sound and a beaming, unforgettable riff. With Bastinov Väth absorbs the emotional life of this track and adds more shades with fascinating violin sounds. Robert Hood transforms Bastinovs thoughtfulness with a brilliant synthesizer figure into an electrifying soul. Väth does an utterly surprising u-turn with a song by Swedish cult band The Knife, merging Afro-American Soul into highly sensitive Indie. Geeemans very special way to modulate his voice is reminiscent of the "Ba Ba Bah, Aha ha ha" from Väth's own, legendary "Electrica Salsa". Now we are in the frenzy of the night, it is time for Techno. Gary Beck pulls us into another world with a powerful groove and an epic hookline, Pig & Dan condense this mood to give the message "Universal Love". "Warehouse Memories" brings back recollections of crazed parties in abandoned factories. Väth clears the madness with Alex BauLs hypnotic, flowing grooves. Dimi Angelis sets a soulful final chord with a beautiful riff merging fragile violin sounds and a shrill 8-bit synth, so the set can fade away in a charmingly mellow piece of Petar Dundov.
The bread and the salt of the Russians is only a welcome gift. "The Sound of the 16th Season" unites past, present and future. Both CDs provide an opportunity to remember the best moments of the
summer as the storms of autumn sweep around the houses. But it's not just about the past, but also about tomorrow: The rousing tracks make you looking forward to 2016: the dancing, the laughter, the sun, the beautiful people and the contented, generous smile our Sven!

Before his upcoming extended EP Christian Löffler returns with this seven inch sized record. Just like its unusual format this release features two unique pieces of music and an artwork created by Löffler himself. As on his Debut Album - A Forest', he teamed up once more with Danish vocalist Gry Bagøien. The result is an outstandingly beautiful house track born by her fairylike singing and gloomy chord stabs. A more than worthy follow-up of their first collaboration - Feelharmonia'.The other song on this Vinyl is a dark interpretation of Löffler's work. As a massive fan of Ki Record's unicum Monokle he was very happy to have him as a remixer of one of his yet unreleased tracks - Notes'. With his very own aesthetics he gives it a sinister touch. Monokle might be the most interesting remixer these days.
The original track 'Notes' will appear on the upcoming Christian Löffler EP.

After our premiere in February we are proud to present our second 'made of CONCRETE'- Release.Loosing the ground. Absorbed by space. 'Hold It Down EP' is the name of Dudley Strangeways new Release. The UK based musician and labelhead of Leftback, known for his classic sounds & sets, along deep, acid and tech lets us in on his dark 2-track-secret. Lastly compacted by 2 Ashworth remixes, this EP floods synapses and gets control over your body. Straight going kits and dripping pitched tom-sounds that lighten up the dark beats create a massive soundhall that perfectly represents the sound of 'made of CONCRETE'.

With the 'Fusion EP', produced by Steven Cock, liquid cement dries and becomes its own living body. 3 tracks, molded from pressing beats, are playing with the force of delay and wandering synthesizer patterns.

Lali Puna meets the Korean band Trampauline. "Machines are human" is featuring the voice and text of Hyosun Cha, singer of Trampauline. A love song, In 2014 machines are more human than humans. You can see Spike Jonzes "Her" waving at you. "Mary Maloone", however, is a typical Lali Puna piece with the voice of Valerie Trebeljahr. Based on a beat by Trampauline Valerie is telling the nightmarish story of Mary, who is working out her soul for her lordship while infecting them with typhoid fever.

Our first release in 2013 comes up with a new VARIED artist. We are very pleased to introduce you to the Cologne-based DJ and producer Pfeiffer. After several digital releases it`s about time to give this exceptional talent a chance for his first vinyl release. As a co-founder of the Cologne-based rheinrhythmik event series he has created his own idea of music within the last few years. We are impressed and fascinated by what we`ve heard so far. Four tracks, each of them perfectly suited for the dancefloor. Enjoy!

Musical support for the B-side comes from Sandru on B1 and the fourth track on B2 is a collaboration with Alexander Siegel from the Ordinary Subject.

Cos a LIKEparty don't stop!

We are delighted to welcome prodigious Glasgow producer Alex Smoke to Optimo Trax for an EP. in our opinion, Mr. Smoke is one of the most advanced sound designers in modern electronic music who has demonstrated his talents across all sorts of releases in all sorts of not easily defined areas of music. He also knows how to make advanced electronic music that will work on a dancefloor as all four of these stunners amply demonstrate. No filler here. Four tracks to make you stand up strong and proud. A-HEM.

I'm Not From Detroit
Deutz Motorcity (From the D)
Alternative States of Insanity.

With 'Imaginary Beings', his first release on Chiwax, Andy Vaz, described by Clone as being able to execute one of the best Acid House Tracks in recent years 'of hypnotic jacking acid just like Armando and Jack Frost used to make' once again comes through with the goods in full swing.

Kicking off with a chunky resounding kicks and some soft 808 congas, Andy drops a subtle bassline then plays with some very minimal percussion and ethereal sounds, before letting the subtle vocal samples permeate as the track gradually increases in its complexity as more percussion and synth parts are added even though the overall tone remains satisfyingly repetitive, deep and intriguingly organic. The flip uses the same kind of warm percussion, adding smatterings of acid cut with panning and wild unusual chords and tones that grab the mind just to take it to the side before unexpectedly swiftly in the other direction. The final track has a mixture of samples giving a clue to the Detroit influence, while clearly stating out the German craftsmanship as one key force of the worlds motorisation, giving hints of his Studio Location in Cologne-Deutz (the birth of the Deutz Motor) before descending into laid back acid over warm kicks and ticking hats complimented by yet more ethereal chords and stabs from bass and lead. There is nothing about this that's boring or cliché and though this isn't from Detroit, a lot of the inspiration clearly is. This is a release with some serious low tempo depth and skill, taking the feel what's great about America's midwest with a well considered European approach, definitely the best of both worlds....

CLARA MONDSHINE is a musical project of the late radio director, journalist and composer Walter Bachauer who for example used to work for RIAS Berlin in the 70s and 80s. Mr. Bachauer has also been involved as musician in Projects with electronic artist Peter Michael Hamel and kraut rock act BETWEEN back in the 70s. With CLARA MONDSHINE he was able to score three albums before his untimely passing in 1989 of which 'Luna Africana' is the first from 1981 and it fits exactly into that era when the sluggish grinding of the early epic 'cosmic music' had finally completely vanished and a new peppy drive could be felt with the spacious soundscapes of electronic music. Still rather low-fi with primitive machine grooves and swirling waves of analogue synthesizers to which some hypnotic drones were tastefully added, this music has learned a lot from the grand masters of the 70s and especially the so called 'motorik' style of krautish electronics with rather simple melodic patterns and a very rhythmical approach with all those layers of pulses and drones piled upon repetitive structures to gain an effect on you as the listener which sets you into a state of trance. This music is quite imaginative and picturesque and the trip it will take you on leads you through a dark galaxy where only the starlight guides your vessel. Quite a typical example for the later krautish electronics and certainly a must have for fans of ENO / HARMONIA collaborations, CLUSTER 'Zuckerzeit' and other similar 'motorik' electronic albums. It also has a KRAFTWERK feel just without the vocals of course. Now this long hidden secret gem is unveiled for your stellar listening pleasure. But beware for some of you might get lost in the depth of outer space.

BIG NEW DANCEFLOOR TUNE BY THE LOVELY RICH VOM DORF. A MUST HAVE FOR THE FESTIVAL SEASON !!!

1x each customer !

Keeping the momentum going seems fairly easy for Barac as he unveils the long awaited second ep on his Moment imprint.
Last years have seen Barac evolve in a very lucrative way, yet only his best productions seem to be making their way top. It is clearly the case for this second ep which features two of his solo masterpieces.

Moment of clarity is electronic poetry at it's best. Barac delivers the proverbial summer sunrise directly into your speakers and ultimately into your heart. This track is meant to never be forgotten.

Without changing the soundscape too much barac has a slightly different approach on side b. Things get a little more serious with sun & following being driven by a catchy bass and a haunting atmosphere. This tune is as bomb in the night as the other one is in the daylight.
