A double gatefold, mastered to subtle perfection by Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin, RSOT delves even further into his own unique mix of the subtly trancey, emotionally driven and understated forward motion of his previous productions. As always, his tracks have an undeniable song quality, the emotions within referencing the small and mundane, whilst the inspiration behind often references a so-called bigger picture. 'Melody Attack' is RSOT's own dark, elegiac version of what, for sake of simplicity, could be called 90's IDM or Ambient Techno. Gaetano Vinci a.k.a. Hooved has been one of the most dependable producers on AMAM over the years, and more recently, his sound has mutated in some unexpected directions.




That's why it's high time to give our knob- twiddling satyr his own special catalog code from now on, and here we present amamhvd001, or for those of you who prefer titles instead of strings of letters and numbers, the Timeless EP, his first 12' of the year. The near-15-minute 'TMLSS 1' begins with a 2-step beat, and as it unfolds, the beats only get more broken, causing a sense of auditory psychosis while somehow remaining calm, cool and collected. This is definitely one of the more experimental tracks to arrive on AMAM, yet still with traces of deep house DNA, but also elements of moody film music and early computer compositions, especially in the extended outro. Whereas the A-side isn't aiming to be a dancefloor bomb, the B-side brings the track into a club context thanks to the remix from the living legend of minimal techno Thomas Brinkmann, known for his accomplishments with his own label Max Ernst, plus numerous others like NovaMute and Curle. Brinkmann's version remains experimental as far as treatment of sound goes, but places his noisy concoctions on a stricter grid, to provide a restless, driving cut. 'TMLSS2', likewise, is full of twisted noises over a 4/4 pulse, full of coiled energy and flickering . As a digital bonus, 'TMLSS3' sets itself apart with its repeated spoken vocal: 'I think I might have something you would enjoy over at my house...' With Satoshi Tomiie's "Prism Vision" ep still causing global dancefloor waves, Melisma ready themselves to enter the realm of the black gold. First up and its the label chiefs themselves who take centre stage with "Better Than Less". The original with its warm and deliciously funky bassline, twisted piano stabs and smooth synth chords is a perfect slice for summer.
Ryan Crosson's rework sees him match the sounds of his electronic laboratory with organic bongo beats. Mysterious, atmospheric and with a brilliantly elasticated bassline, the mix sees the Detroit native take us for a wonderful walk on the wild side.
On a similar but far more percussive tip comes Valentino Kanzyani. The Slovenian producer reworks the original in stunning fashion, creating a perfect terrace moment. Welcome to the jungle!

Road To Shaanxi's first EP, Revelation, will be released on True Panther Sounds on the 23rd of September. Little is know about Road To Shaanxi the producer. The music itself is cinematic, expressing a narrative of sorts, occupying the fill between club and headphones. Sonically it is much indebted to the UK electronic and dance music traditions - the stuttered moodiness of Mt Kimbie's debut Maybes EP, or Zomby's more emotive submerged garage moments. "Revelation" is, for lack of better words, a revelation. An expanding, dramatic yet oddly subdued piece that unfolds steadily until it's over. One could picture it soundtracking an end of the world sequence in slow motion, or just an end of the night set. The vinyl pressing will be limited to 500 copies and features the work of painter Augutus Thompson.

His first release for the label in more than two years, EYE / TREE sees Kompakt staple THOMAS FEHLMANN return to the floor after his mesmerizing detours TITAN ONE (Kompakt 224) and GUTE LUFT (Kompakt 211 / CD 81). Merging the textural dexterity of the former with the narrative scope of the latter, these new solo tracks from THE ORB's premier fuss-pot put his fine-grained trademark sound back on its feet and reintroduce the Swiss-born producer to club culture's sweaty habitat. Neo-tribal thriller ride EYE kicks things off swiftly, with variform percussion intercepted by frowningly swelling pads, seriously stirring up the track's seemingly linear structure in the process. A truly headspinning experience, the cut's trajectory reveals a staggering level of detail consummately serving its dense atmosphere, but never getting in the way of the forward propulsion. Like a heat-tracing laser beam scanning the surroundings for a stubborn escapee, the track hunts down its own loose rhythmic ends and throws them back to the hearth around which it has gathered to speak in tongues and implore the savage gods of the dance. Fehlmann continues his excursions in high-definition percussion ranting with TREE, an equally polynomial beast of a track that starts off with a stumbling downbeat feel, but soon finds its rousing groove, employing it to deadly effect in the course of its 9-minutes-plus running time. Already a stone-cold classic in all 569 alternate universes, this one knows a thing or two about how to lure its listeners into a false sense of security, only to hit them over their synapses with the slinkiest hi-hat on this side of the credibility gap. While both tracks' names allude to natural phenomena, the producer clearly toys around with reality's parameter settings, triggering that classic Fehlmann paradox where you never really know if you're just listening to a bunch of crickets or the perfect mimicry of an invading paranormal force.

Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri & Giuseppe Carlini formed the group Plaster in Rome Italy in 2008 and has released EP's, albums & been on compilations with their sharp edged sounds, deep beats with some funky syncopations since 2010 on labels such as Kvitnu, Crazy Language, Stroboscopic Artefacts & Touchin' Bass. And they have already got remixes done of their tracks by Zavoloka, Dadub & Frank Bretschneider to name a few. Both members of Plaster has their own solo careers too, Gianclaudio under the alias Kaeba & Giuseppe his Agan so there's going to be a lot of music coming from these guy's in the future.





'Circular Mechanism' starts of with a dark vibe with drip sounding notes flickering in the soundscape just before one of the bass lines kicks in teamed with the bass drum in syncopated perfection and from there on the track builds it's robotic funk that will work like a charm for any electronica / experimental Dj's as well as on any dance floor that's not just serving a simple 4/4 beat to their crowd. The 'Circular Mechanism (Substance Remix)' is saturated deep in Dub just like you could imagine when Substance has done his magic. Peter Kuschnereit aka Substance has taken Plaster's soundscape, rearranged it to fit his slow pace agenda and turned it into something fitted for the land of nod. So if you like the slower way of life this remix will work like a charm. Peter Kuschnereit is well known on the electronic music scene worldwide through his work as Substance and in the duo Scion with René Löwe aka Vainqueur with releases on the highly acclaimed label Chain Reaction as early as 1995. And as Dj Pete he sure knows how to please any crowd anytime with his fine blend of the proverbial Berlin sound spanning from tougher House to Dubstep verging on Techno.

You open the door. You take a step into the cool fog of a new morning. It's the hour before sunrise and
while somewhere the remains of last nights party beats are hovering in the air, the wind carries broken
scraps of a singer/ songwriter piece through the haunting haze your way.The night made way for a
new day. A day, when everything will be different.
Change, transformation, developement- these have always been the motor behind Berlins electronica
duo Dapayk& Padberg. On their 4th longplayer they might now have made the most uncompromising
step during their 10 year carreer in wich they have become one of europes most fascinating Clubacts.
Their magic formula Looking for alternatives. With their longplayer - Smoke' they bid a temporary
farewell to the dancefloor. They are taking new paths, searching, trying new, never before seen
patterns. These paths led the duo from the golden hills of the Provence to the dark autumnal
lowlands at the border between scotland and england. The influence of those places is felt throughout
the whole record with its atmospheric hybrid-tracks.
After their last album - Sweet Nothings' with its summery/ funky sound Dapayk& Padberg are now
opening the door to a gloomy-melancholic world. While - Sweet Nothings' was a balancing act between
clubsound and Listening-Electronica the duo is now turning its back on the dancefloor, to take the
listener on an accustic tour through their personal Amber Room. With their Chamber-Electro mix,
containing characteristics of dubstep, catchy pop-elements, classical string arrangements and and a
singer/songwriter-like intimacy, they achieve to create new sound-rooms.
- The time we spent in scotland was the most creative and productive time we ever had,' explaines Eva
Padberg. - It was a wonderful experience to get up in the morning, have breakfast and after a long walk
in the drizzling rain have nothing else to do then to sit in front of the log fire with a glass of whiskey in
our hands and work on new tracks...'Dapayk& Padberg's albums have always been snapshots of
their current inspirational and emotional world- with - Smoke' they have now created their most
consistent and self contained collection of songs to date. Against all expectations, sometimes even
against their own nature as artists, letting go of all too familiar and comfortable structures. - Smoke' is
all about overcoming those lines between different genres, letting go, opening their mind to the new,

- without worrying about fitting into a certain niche or having to compromise', Eva adds. - When we had
the structure for about two thirds of the album set up, we realized that we're heading into some dark
waters. I think with this album we found ourselves more than ever and maybe even grew up a bit..'
Growing up in fast times, in wich Niklas Worgt produces numerous club projects for the insatiable
nightlife and Eva Padberg counts as one fashions most sought after faces. - Smoke' is their escape
with which Dapayk& Padberg transport an atmosphere that possibly noone would have expected in its
intensity. - For us it's always been about finding the cracks and about contrast', Niklas adds. - It's about
challenging the listener. For me there is nothing more boring than over-produced, clean
computermusic.'
Almost no track ends as it begins. - Silent Fireworks' with its song like structure brings to mind the
hymns of Lamb, Jamie Woon or James Blake. Evas voice delivers a broken intimacy which is carried
by Niklas' adventurous- sophisticated sound structures. The hypnotic - No Words' starts out with Evas
ethereal-fragile vocals spun around a dry, blurred electronica track to then explode into a huge,
unknown universe of sounds. Dark energy in its purest form, as is the morbid - Headless Queen' which
was inspired by the imprisonement and execution of Mary Queen of Scots in 1587.
- In Scotland there are reminders of drama and tragedy on every corner', says Eva about her
influences. - Everywhere there are stories about clan fights and plaques have been put up to keep the
memory of people who have lost their lives during those darker times alive. Those sometimes cruel
and bizarre stories, paired with the breathtaking views we enjoyed during our time there, have
definitely left their mark on the album.'
The inspiration for the album title came not only from those cold days spent in scotland but also has its
historic routes in Niklas' family tree.'my grandmother is a true well of inspiration. She told me that she
was faintly related with the austrian painter Oskar Kokoschka - so I decided to name one of my
projects Kokoschka. But also, that there was a blood relative on her side of the family who came from
England by the name Smoke. The name has been spooking around in my head for years and I always
wanted to name an EP or track after it. We thought that it was an excellent title for the album.'
- Also, the track `Smoke´captures the atmosphere of the album perfectly', Eva agrees. - I learned a lot
about myself and the both of us while making this album. Sometimes I was quite surprised about the
dark thoughts going through my head, since I am generally not a sad person. I think those songs were
a good an healthy way to face that side of myself. In my profession it is expected of me to always
represent the perfect side of life, after a while it gets boring to always be glamourous and radiant.
Flawlessness bores me, this record is my antidote. But at the same time it has something sane and
concilitory: on the opener `Drowning inside you´ you drown in the other person and on the last track
`Dance in your flame´ your dancing together in the fire..'

If it takes only 7 days for the first two releases to completely sell out, It comes as little surprise that the label is causing a stir with all the usual suspects. Heavy club rotation from many A-list DJ's has only thrown more fuel on this blazing fire.

It all started one day in Heiko MSO's studio, where Frost and Einzelkind were casually listening to some old records. When the first few notes of "Flying Turns" came through the speakers, their ears pricked up. With the track still pumping from Heiko's speakers, the boys sent an SMS to the Chilean sound wizard, Ricardo Villalobos, letting him know they found something special. Inspiration set in, and riding a wave of creativity sparked by this hidden gem of a track, the boys turned out a revamped version for 2013. Villalobos never forgot that SMS and seemed equally inspired by the track which encouraged an approach to ask him for a remix. Well, he delivered not one, but two reworks. Could there have been a better way to complete this into a 4 track dream of an E.P. We think not, and we're quite sure you'll agree.

Bambule is the new Label of Dj Pierre (Pierre Blaszczyk) from Germany. Pierre is very well known since the early 90s with his Clubproject Stammheim and Labels like Hoerspielmusik and utils. Ear Spankers are Michael Kohlbecker and Ben Dewald. Kohlbecker is a well known significant producer in the scene of Mainhattan Frankfurt since the 90s. Beside commercial Audioproductions like the Soundtrack of the TV-Hit True Blood with Gabriel Le Mar is he founder of the Producer School Produzentenschmiede based in Frankfurt. There he met young talent Ben Dewald aka Ben Shine and their first cooperation was Ich Will. Ich Will is an high recognizable minimal industrial flavoured bassgroove ass-shaker what will set a peak point in many Dj sets this winter. In early 2013 is an huge remix package comin from audiophile heroes like Swayzak and Robert Babicz to name a few.

The soul behind our new Watergate-Compilation belongs to a dedicated DJ and house-enthusiast: Mathias Kaden attends to number 14 of our popular mix-series and gives proof not only of his technical finesse but also of his ability to combine contemporary releases with evergreen classics. He is always confident to his intuition and emotions to freak out any crowd, no matter what time or location he plays. All the same with his own productions: He released his debut-album 'Studio 10 on the Berlin based Label Vakant in 2009, alongside EPs on Freude Am Tanzen and recently also Desolat.

Apparel Music is happy to present the Perception EP from Portuguese producer Accatone - named after the debut film by Italian director Pier Paolo Pasolini. Primed with four of Accatone's own productions, Perception demonstrates this producer to be a fiend for the groove and rhythm yet also mindful of 808 drum samples and lush chords. Accatone's musical know how, gained through a life on full front musicianship and live acts, enables him to translate his soul world influences into contemporary House music. It's difficult to sum up his productions and his DJ sets as in a way he thrives for the old school House and Techno and brings his own imprint, a highly organic dance floor experience that can change in a clap and still maintain a natural voyage like flow. With a vast music selection on his crate, Accatone is able to blend both the old and new without any trouble of a sort.

The third installment on Public Possession features our man Bell Towers previously known for his releases on 'Hole in the Sky' and 'Internasjonal' as well as his party series 'Bamboo Musik' that regularly errupts in his hometown Melbourne. Bell Towers delivers an 11 minutes electronic masterpiece that will provide ecstasy on the dancefloor, but can easily be used for home or beach vibing, too. On the flipside Protect-U of 'Future Times' fame work their remix magic. It gets all bumpy and energetic without loosing any of that trippiness of the original track. The release is completed by cover artwork from Misha Hollenbach (PAM).

On the other side Chris Noise shows his talent with his track "Shadow from the Sun". His friend Ingo Boss from Cocoon remixes this nice track.

Mr Raoul K kept this track a long time in his drawer. He always felt that something was missing. And he didn't want to put out a track he wasn't feeling comfortable with. During a visit of Kuniyuki in Mr Raoul K's studio, he played the track to him. After Kuniyuki proposed some new ideas, they decided to finish the track and release under their new alias Double K... They have come up with an atmospheric sixteen minute journey with constantly changing atmosphere. Starting off softly, almost tiptoe-ing 'Esprit De La Jungle' begins an expedition into the inner jungle. Accompanied by Kuniyuki's subtle flute and keyboards and graced with Wiltrud Weber's awesome vocals, the track provides constantly changes its mood and is full of surpises. Expect the unexpected after every turn. Mr Raoul K's beats blend in very slowly and do not take over until the very end. Close your eyes on the dancefloor and find yourself exploring the secrets of the unknown, feeling the real Esprit Of The Jungle....
