Adrian Niculae better known as Priku is one of bucharest's finest djs and producers as well. After realeasing for labels like arpiar and all inn he now decided to start his own path. Motif will probably feature most of his works from now on, plus some of his close aquaintance's.

Acustic is the name chosen for motif 01 and experiment is the game. Not sounding too far from his last experience on arpiar, Bonita mariposa is a dreamy yet pumping track, filled with shakers and spikes that go along perfectly with the dark piano. NYC (via Paris) based DJ and producer Sid Vaga returns to Nickodemus' Wonderwheel Recordings with another 12" full of exotic deep house vibes sure to light up dance floors everywhere. It's an impressive follow-up to his genuinely well-received "Brazuca" single from last year.

On the A side, Sid delivers "Na Na Ye", a driving cut with a pulsing bass line and hypnotic African chant that pushes the tune forward before getting flipped into a percussive section alongside deep and subtle synths. On the flip "Manouche" can be found, a late night house tune with psychedelic Balkan guitars and swirling Gypsy vocal samples punctuating the track. Rounding out the single, Valencian producer Oscar Barila (Plastic City, Kling Klong) gives "Manouche" a truly funky remix with a squelchy '80s "new wave" style bass line, thumping house beat, and irresistible synth work coming together for a real after-hours nightclub workout.

Edin Cuturic (Danza Macabra Duo), as they announce the release of Patrick Zigon's upcoming album "The Alpha
State", out this September. Momento Magico (Magic Moment) is the first exclusive glimpse into Zigon's new album
and comes just in time to create magic summer moments around the world.
After many years of heavy releasing and remixing, Zigon took a time-out, locked himself into his studio to reinvent
himself and to put all his new energy and creativity into his very first artist album. More than one year of hard work,
sleepless nights, and extensive sound design has yielded thrilling results.
Zigon invited the well-known German reggae-crew Caramelo Criminal to his studio to produce Momento Magic the
perfect introductory single to the album. Perfect for the summer, this track takes the listener on an electronic
atmospheric journey and provides an amazing hypnotic dub-ambience. Chill out and relax, enjoy the sun and praise
Jah while drinking your cocktail, and prepare yourself for Patrick's first album, intended to take things to another
level, the alpha state.
To give a proper remix treatment, Zigon invited the German techno-legend Pascal Feos and his buddy Frank Leicher
to take a swing. Abandoning all harmonies and synths, they completely focus on driving rhythms. With tribal
percussions, spooky fx and vocal-fragments they evolved a techy & tooly groove-monster from the chilled and dubby
original track.
The Spanish sound-genius Dixie Yure well-known for his releases on Nordik Net Records, transformed the original
into an amazing deep house track. Preserving the spirit and atmosphere of the original, Dixie just added more groovy
structures and his typical freaky fx-sounds.
To finish the package Danza Macabra comes up with their very own version. Their characteristic string-hits are paired
with a gloomy, melodic feeling and deep, bass-driven beats.
Momento Magic is a complete package and everybody will surely find a favourite.

Jens-Uwe Beyer lives in Cologne, he founded the band 'Cologne
Tape' the label 'Magazine' and you know him under his moniker
'Popnoname'. Most recently he remixed the Eurythmics and Brian Eno & Cluster for the Conny Plank Tribute Compilation on Grönland. He is a frequent guest of Kompakt's Pop Ambient series and just released probably the longest maxi in the world - the almost eighty minute (!) ambient piece "Red Book" on Magazine.

Astaire is quoted as saying that the hardest thing about dancing is to make it look easy - a description that perfectly sums up "Eve", the fifth studio album by Berlin duo Booka Shade. In their latest work, Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier again reveal their talent for transforming the immense sound available from today's electronic production possibilities into pure, ethereal lightness. In that sense, Booka Shade and Fred Astaire aren't all that different. They don't simply dance. They prance. A few summer days in Manchester finally brought light to the end of the tunnel. Booka Shade set up house in the city's acclaimed EVE Studios, a "residential vintage recording studio" where musicians can live and work with rare, old-school recording equipment around the clock. That moment of clarity in Manchester, when everything suddenly fell into place, has now been immortalised in their new album title. And "Eve" remains true to the principle that has underpinned this duo's work from their first musical experiments right up to today: Booka Shade perform with four hands. That's it. Two hands on the drums and two hands on the keyboards have to do the job for every track in the studio and on stage. The only exception is when they are joined by special guests, this time including such luminaries as Fritz Helder (Azari & III), as well as Groove Armada's Andy Cato blasting his trombone in a vast echo chamber while Fritz Kalkbrenner heralds the next departure singing the hymnal lines, "We've burned the bridges on our way...". Booka Shade have a long history of building new bridges. Those bridges connect their rich past as producers with the glorious present, from Berlin's "Maifeld" to "Jesolo" on the Mediterranean and onwards to the Far East. Booka Shade are underway again and "Eve" is like a great voyage, an album imploring listeners to get moving, to begin dreaming... and to start prancing.

The first release of Parallel Pain comes in three cuts, two originals and Marcos in Dub vs Rooteo remix. Hag-ridden offers both minimal and techno equally. A cut with great quality sound, exudes class and style, reminds us the good techno from the nineties. The Marcos in Dub vs Rooteo remix, has a personal and sincere approach, with a more 'dubby' and playful sound. In Dark Matter we found a fabulous track, a powerful synth defines the width of cut. Dark Matter contains sound passages that invite to close your eyes and explore by yourself what 'the game' is all about. Parallel has landed and is here to stay.

Following on from releases for Pomelo and PAL SL, LD Nero makes a welcome return to Trelik, the label that unveiled the project back in 2011. Detroit house flavours lace "Als Ik Kan", as a bleepy synth loudly sounds on the off beat over short stabby chords and shuffling drums. A loose "I'm Burning" almost sounds like LD Nero has each of the tracks elements placed on a separate turntable; making sure to keep them beat matched and aligned, while a summery, Rhode uplifting house track awaits in "The Feel".

Dutch producer Marcellis' output has been sporadic at best since his debut on Black Label in 2004, but his masterful outing on Berlin's Workshop stable last year, seems to have marked a turning point in his output. The six-track I Am Woman EP, released on Millions of Moments represents his most extensive work to date, and it proves to be just as deep as that Workshop 12". "Wanderland" and "Dang Me" provide more of those idiosyncratic downbeat beats Marcellis is known for, while "Speakeasy" proves a sumptuous trip through classic piano-led Chicago house. Really though, this is an EP of outstanding vocal house, with Fabian and Dexter's contributions elevating this EP into another league entirely.

Diesmal gemixt von Roter & Lewis. Das Duo, bestehend aus dem Aachener Musikproduzenten Dan Lewis und dem Mainzer DJ Sebastian Roter, gehört zweifellos zu den Namen, die man 2013 im Auge behalten sollte. Dan Lewis produziert schon seit 1999 elektronische Musik, hatte bereits Veröffentlichungen auf Labels wie Lickin Records, Kontor und Armada und remixte unter anderen Michael Mind, Patric La Funk und Leisuregroove.
Sebastian Roter konzentriert sich stärker um das DJing und ist stark geprägt von der Rhein-Main Techno Szene und konnte sich über die letzten Jahre einen hervorragenden Ruf erarbeiten. Die zweite CD wird vom neuen Host der Reihe Heckmän gemixt.

Denai Moore has announced details of her forthcoming EP and new live shows, including a headline gig at St Pancras Church. The follow-up to May's debut EP 'Saudade', 'The Lake' EP was recorded in London and Paris with producer's Ben Drew (aka Plan B) and Renaud Letang (Feist, Gonzales, Manu Chao). Lead track 'The Lake' - produced by Drew - has a soulful, melancholic beauty that is profoundly moving, illustrating why Denai's peers are getting so excited about the 19 year old from East London. A natural and instinctive songwriter, she penned all the tracks on the EP - there are no co-writes. Denai Moore's immense talent was obvious from the moment she posted the sparse, haunting 'Flaws' online at the end of 2012. Picked up by a host of influential blogs, the track also brought Denai to the attention of Tom Odell, who invited her to support him on his headline tour in May. Born in Jamaica but raised in Stratford, Denai Moore has been creating music since she was 7. Thanks to a youthful obsession with Lauryn Hill, Denai learnt about crafting songs infused with honesty and pure emotion. More recently, her love of artists like Bon Iver, Feist and James Blake, has led her to write the kind of soul searching, heart-on sleeve, disarmingly honest songs that have been know to make grown men cry.

The groove-ingredients like slap-bass, diminutive vocals & these refined melodies provide the seasoning. Enjoy your meal!

Mangue Records deliver the second EP from their owners. This time the main tracks got remixed by Microtrauma (Microtonal, Elected Tunes) and Dole & Kom (Superfancy, Parquet, Death by Disco).

This is the first release of Mexican/Canadian Label Departures records done by up-and-coming artist Mike Khayata.
The EP features 2 original tracks and 2 remixes, 'Shivers' is a deep, slow but very dynamic track that reflects the artists thoughts on the immediacy of things these days. it's chord progression drives the track and captures your attention from the moment it starts and makes for a very introspective listening experience not necessarily designed for the dance floors .
'Falsehood' is a dubby jam with cuts of Lee
'Scratch' Perry in an interview with Jools in Jamaica '85. He was asked what things he didn't like, to which he replied: 'I don't like liars, I don't like robbers, I don't like fakes, I don't like parasites, I don't like hypocrites, I don't like vampires, I don't like bat biters, and I don't like traitors.' Self explanatory really.
The remixes are two dub versions of 'Shivers' done by Hatrepool house master Mark Hand and the very prolific Volta Cab .

This EP is the debut of French artist Remcord with Atmosphere Records.
Since there's a strong believe in this young producer's music and live
act his first EP at the label is inmediately translated into vinyl. Remcord
developed his own sound with catchy rhythms, cheerful synths and
well placed vocals. Remixes are provided by well known Atmosphere
artists Stereo Express and René Bourgeois. Stereo Express delivers a live
interpretation with extended sax. The tremendous René Bourgeois
remix winks to Al Pacino's Scarface.

or over 12 months Thomas Feriero AKA Avatism, our friend and label partner, has been staying at home and working on his album. He moved to Berlin to work on it and now sadly (for us) yet (gladly) for him he is moving back to Milan. Poof! Just Like that. So what did this year entail exactly Well for some of us not much. We got to see him in his studio comfy pants a couple of times (he wears slippers) we heard his studio woes, ate pasta with him, drank beers and of course got to hear his album at every juncture. While this self-imposed exile may have been a little worrisome the result is fortunately spectacular. Adamant is a glimpse into how a city shapes a life and how intrinsically life then shapes music. It's less than 2 years since his first gig yet in that time he's managed to craft killer EPs on Vakant and Dumb Unit, collaborated with Clockwork & Mind Against (who both make appearances on the album) played diverse shows including SONAR By Night and generally had a really good run at it all. While many would be content simply continuing on this already exciting path, Thomas decided that Adamant was a chance to explore other forms of writing production & collaboration and imposed strict conditions so that Adamant would evolve differently than his earlier works. 'I imposed mandates on myself while making it: The tracks (the music, at least) had to be written in a day. 'Written", not mixed, arranged or produced, simply 'written' and even though I was convinced the album was going into a different/wrong direction approximately 292829 times while making it I decided to follow through on all the musical parts that I developed in these one day cycles.'

Funkwerkstat-Sänger Dan Morrow wandelt auf Solopfaden. Wohin In eine musikalische

Denn immer ist es die Textur seiner einzigartgen Stmme, um die herum sich Rhythmen und Melodien kristallisieren. Dies geschieht mal mit tanzbarer, mal mit eher bedächtger Dynamik, mal mit orchestralen Motven, mal mit elektronischem Gefrickel, aber immer mit ganz viel Gefühl und Stmmung. So ganz allein ist - i Am Halo' übrigens doch nicht unterwegs. The Micronaut steuert einen Remix zu Litle Planet bei, in dem die jazzige Vertracktheit seiner Beats immer wieder punktgenau auf der Eins landet. Gluid hebt unter die ießende Melancholie des Titels Not Invented gradlinige Rhythmen, die das symphonisch anmutende Original voll und ganz tanzächenkompatbel machen. Und Mollono.Bass arbeitet sorgfältg die sonnigsten Aspekte von Queen of Queens heraus um sie zu einem ungezwungen Groove zu verdichten.

Benny has been establishing himself as a hot producer the last two years, dropping tracks for cool labels; Be As One, Suara, Saved, Boysnoize Records... Soon also on Desolat, but first now EC Records where he's a perfect fit!

Stimming returns to Green for the first time since the release of his stunning "Gaensebluemchen." His beautifully unique and avant garde productions have won him a legion of loyal followers who wait impatiently and excited for news of his new work. We are part of this collective, making it all the more fulfilling to be able to play host to the latest music from Hamburg's finest.

Cristi Cons is back at it again. his second Amphia release is just like his first. strong and smooth. Glassdance is the strong one, driven by a hypnotic percussion and mysterious layered sounds in the back. Regardless is smoother than first, but powerful nonetheless. both tracks fit very well in the amphia sound boundaries that we've heard so far. we have a future classic right here !
