It was in high school where music joined these two boys, exchanging deep techno and trance cassettes between classes. They grew and decided to study their passion, musical production. Pablo & Nani share the same style but each one does it differently in their own way, we could define it as Deep tech-house.
In this first EP they had clear ideas, they wanted to do a vinyl that could be played at the club, either in warm up and peak time, and they have done so.
'The people we like' is the favorite of Dactilar, modern Deep House full of details with a clean groove. 'For Russia with love', Pablo's favorite, classic Deep Techno in honor of all his Russian followers. 'Krampf' is the bad guy of the movie, mental Techno for long dj mixes, and 'The Hum', dark and powerful from beginning to end.

There is quite a charming story of mutual love between Borrowed Identity and Tenderpark behind this record. The two have been exchanging letters of enthusiasm for each other for quite some time. And so the idea of this joint record has grown very naturally. For the 'Caps and Chords EP' Borrowed Identity teams up with his longtime musical partner Mechanical Soul Brother once more. As the title of the EP suggests, the two studio wizards come up with three very elegant Deep House tracks which are indulging in tender chords complemented by sweet Soul vocals und Funk samples. Add Borrowed's powerful trademark beats and you get an incredibly accomplished Deep House release which reflects the two men's mastery and perfectly fits Tenderpark's musical route. As always all tracks have been mastered and cut by Helmut Erler at Dubplates & Mastering.

Even though he didn't invent the concept, Bucharest born and Amsterdam residing, Andrei Idu, or more familiarly, The Legendary 1979 Orchestra has done a good deal of remixes in the previous couple of years. This record showcases his best remixes and dubs. Apart from "Lesson 1 Remix", all tracks are exclusive to this vinyl release.

Starting off the record is the infectious dance-floor filler remix of Odyssey's "Inside Out". The remix was done for the 2011 DJ History Odyssey remix competition. Having received enormous feedback and support, it was about time it saw an official release! The track builds the feel-good instrumental to a vocal chorus driven hands-in-the-air climax. It has been a sure shot secret weapon of The Legendary 1979 Orchestra's DJ sets until now. The second track on the A-side is The Legendary 1979 Orchestra's most successful remix to date. His version of L'Equipe du Son's "Lesson 1" is a warm synth driven piece of the highest quality 80's inspired disco. The percussion and strings fill the track with sentiment. It's been witnessed to melt girls on the dance-floor and make grown men shed tears.

The B-side of the record is reserved for the deeper dubs. First off is an unreleased version of Emeron & Fox's "Dopecity". The Legendary 1979 Orchestra takes the original as inspiration and goes deep with it. "Dopecity Deep Dub" is a journey into emotions and euphoria that would fit wonderfully in those late morning deep house sets. Finishing off the record is a Bonus Beats version of Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club's "Marwencol". The original and the first TL79O remix of the track were released in early 2011 on the infamous Russian label Shanti. It was actually The Legendary 1979 Orchestra's first official release. The version on the record strips down the remix going even more dub and keeps the ultra-punchy drums in the forefront for some guaranteed head-nodding business.

With each track touching on a different side of underground dance music, this record is a complete guide to the many styles and tastes of The Legendary 1979 Orchestra's compositions. It wouldn't be hard to imagine hearing all four tracks at different times of a perfect club night.

SPDSC's 'Nightdriving' sounds like the soundtrack to an early 80s exploitation movie featuring crazy driving stunts! JKriv, of Deep & Disco fame, flips the track into a mid tempo piano driven stomper adding even more action to the scenes.

On the flip side, The Legendary 1979 Orchestra's 'Love Triangle Theme' is the actual soundtrack to the opening scene of the short horror film 'Matasari'. The track is moody and tensed but somehow liberating with its groovyness. Taking care of remix duties is analog veteran Ruf Dug. His take is reverby, atmospheric, sounding straight off a lost proto house tape.

Musikinstrumente sind eine Art technologische Anomalie, da sie nach ihrer Konzeption nur selten erneuert werden und über einen jahrhundertelangen Zeitraum meist nur kleinere Veränderungen erfahren. Dadurch zeigt uns jedes Instrument eine Momentaufnahme der Spitzentechnologie einer bestimmten Zeit und eines bestimmten Ortes. Diesen Gedanken fortführend, bietet die Instrumentation, die vom Immix Ensemble für "Transition" genutzt wurde, eine Übersicht über bis 1500 v. Chr. zurückgehende Technologie. Nutzt man diese Momentaufnahmen als Startpunkt, so stellt jeder Satz von "Transition" ein oder zwei Instrumente in den Vordergrund und erforscht, zumindest thematisch, eine herausragende Erfindung oder Entdeckung, die zur gleichen Zeit stattfand oder erschaffen wurde, wie die Instrumente selbst. Die Zusammenarbeit mit Vessel ergänzt diese technologische Chronologie mit den Werkzeugen des digitalen Zeitalters. Das Immix Ensemble leitet der australische und heute in Liverpool lebende Komponist und Saxofonist Daniel Thorne. Es wurde 2014 mit der Absicht gegründet, unterschiedliche und innovative musikalische Stimmen zu verschmelzen. Mit Vessel, dem Alter Ego des Elektronik-Künstlers Sebastian Gainsborough aus Bristol, fand das Ensemble einen geeigneten Partner für seine zukunftsweisenden Kompositionen, die zwischen den Grenzen von traditionellen und zeitgenössischen Stilen hindurchgleiten.

Azzido Da Bass and Stevo Wilcken co-wrote their first original song "Dooms Night", which was released in 2000 at the Love Parade in Berlin. Although the song did well in Germany, it languished outside the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart until a remix of the song was released by Timo Maas. The remix's popularity sent the track to #8 in the UK chart.

Swink Music Records are back with their latest vinyl release. SMR014 will showcase the talents of 2 producers who need no introduction. Manooz and Timmy P have been releasing some fine music over the past couple of years, both individually and separately and their latest collaboration, "Things You Do" is definitely no exception. This one has been in the works for a quite a while now and is definitely worth the wait as it finally drops with 2 heavy original tracks, "Things You Do" AND " Willie G".

The solid groove of Manooz & Timmy's first original track "Things You Do" is a built on a combination of a heavy rhythm, dub style bassline and cleverly programmed drums and percussion, creating a flawless flow to the track. The melodic element to the track comes from its evolving pad chords which rise throughout the track providing the perfect transition throughout the arrangement.Clever use of a processed spoken word sample re-introduces the track at the transition point of the main breakdown, adding the finishing touches to an overall no-frills roller.

The second original track "Willie G" provides a funkier element to the EP with a slick groove and bouncy sub bass working nicely with a piercing chord stab to create a really essential dancefloor joint. Evolving synth chords introduced throughout the track, cement the flow and take the track to the next level. Slick production and arrangement come together on this one and the result is a full on groover of a track ready to be unleashed.

Completing a really strong EP, Swink also drop a massive remix from French producer Fulbert, who provides his "Sakura Vibe" remix of "Things You Do". Fulbert takes the track in a completely new direction with his take on the original. Introducing a tougher element to the EP, Fulbert's remix brings a deep underground vibe with a rolling groove built on a combination of dusty drums samples, rolling percussion and haunting chord and vocal stabs. Slick use of transition, off beat drum programming, and an obscure arrangement result in an amazing version of the original track!

Two years after his stunning debut "Here Today Gone Tomorrow", Fritz Kalkbrenner takes the next huge step in his career with his second album "Sick Travellin". Coming hot on the heels of his "Suol Mates" compilation in March, a mixtape infused with an eclectic variety of genres - from soul to funk, from hip hop to house, Fritz now takes all these influences and ideas, fusing them together to a sound that is ever so powerful and distinctively his own.
The thirteen tracks on the new LP, produced in the only recently finished Suol-Studios in Berlin Kreuzberg, have a more organic, mature sound than those on the debut. More vocals, more live instruments like Rhodes, Bass and Guitar, recorded by some of the best studio musicians around, and Fritz's trademark grainy, "breathing" samples. Basically, a whole lot of Suol! Pardon me: Soul.
"Sick Travellin" playfully guides the listener from bittersweet melancholy and classical songwriting to loose, dreamy dancefloor moments. Vocal tracks like "Get A Life", "Little By Little", "No Peace Of Mind" and last but definitely not least, his cover version of Gil Scott-Heron's "Willing" (recorded in the same session as Fritz's Bill Withers cover "Ruby Lee" for the Suol Mates compilation) once again showcase Fritz Kalkbrenner's extraordinary talent as a vocalist and his incredible gift for embedding pop songs into beautifully crafted house music frames.
But that's not all: the albums more forward tunes like "Square Heart", "Monte Rosa" or the club anthem "Hummin' Hills" will trigger waves of euphoria on the dancefloors all around the globe.
The limited deluxe edition of the CD album comes with a bonus track and 6 page digipac. Both CD versions include a 12 page poster booklet. The double vinyl is beautifully packaged in a 4 page gatefold sleeve.

Robot Ranch Records 007 does not relate to James Bond but Ugur Project from Istanbul has truly the licence for killertracks. The ep including four tracks, a grabbing quartet of electronic timelessness, wich can rarely be found in such concentrated form within the ocean of today releases. One definitely will hear , that Ugur Project is living his music with each breath. This, considering his huge number of releases also with other labels, makes this ep to something special. Side A starts with Make This Happen - the eponym of this ep. This minimal house track will definitely left deep marks on the dancefloor. It is followed by People Circulate, wich with it´s minimal context and lightly tendency to melancholy is well suited for warm ups and set closings after days and nights of dancing. Sketches Of A Circuit, a classic house track works dignified with some old elements and creates a brilliant athmosphere with its clicks and cuts. Additionaly, countless voices in the background pretend a full dancefloor. It really is a track to float on and will make the audience take up the invitation to 'dance'. The ep is concluded by Society Failure, is a strong and charming piece of dub techno uniting 'every kind of music and every kind of taste'. ;)
