House of 909 consisted of producers Nigel Casey, Trevor Loveys, and Affie Yussuf (Loveys and Yussuf are both still very active today), and vocalists Azeem and Bobby Depasois.

In 1997, they released an album of rolling deep house gems that were as evocative as they were posh. The tracks contained vocals and the subject matter dealt with youth, and leaving it. Like so many worthy releases, the record was critically respected but criminally under-celebrated.
Over the years Cascine developed an affinity for the album, connecting with its soft-focus approach to house music. This summer, Cascine will reissue The Children We Were in limited vinyl form. The music has been remastered, the artwork redone and the record repackaged. It's a lovely body of work, presented now through the eyes of Cascine.

As one of the most exciting talents rising out of the UK, there is no better time for DC-10 resident Richy Ahmed to team up with New York's seminal house imprint, Strictly Rhythm, and release 'Can't You See EP'.

Opening with a hard-hitting 4/4 beat 'Can't You See' features a funk-laden walking bassline adding fluidity to the mix, calling on the sound of the 80s and bringing it in to the present day. Analog synth sounds are peppered amongst bluntly cut vocal samples, drawing inspiration from the clinical elements of techno, yet retaining the groove that Ahmed's work is rapidly becoming synonymous with. The EP's second track is Ahmed's remix of Logic's 1990 classic 'The Warning'. The original's acapella has been repurposed by Ahmed, looming over the track's driving percussive elements. With a low-slung bassline interchanging with sizzling hi-hats, the remix pulls the original away from its blissed-out roots and firmly into the warehouse, providing new meaning to one of the legendary Strictly Rhythm's many classic club anthems.

Their debut release marks a further development of the Local Talk sound, balancing between house & bass.

The EP kicks off with 'Nothing Wrong', a track built around a bouncy bass riff that lingers and weaves around a clever vocal splicing.

'In Me' continues where 'Nothing Wrong' left off but adds more depth and ingenious stabs, it's a 100% bouncing track for sure.
Ending the EP is HADE's solo number 'Baphome'. A bass fuelled floor packer with nicely interwoven synths and a hypnotic house groove that remains present throughout the track.

in conclusion - A garage-esqe belter with the right amount of wobbly bass to satisfy all your DJ & dance floor needs. .

Kensuke Fukushima is an up and coming talent from Japan. Growing up heavily influenced by rock and jazz, he learned to play multiple instruments like lead and bass guitar as well as piano. He's had a few previous releases on labels such as Onovu & Leap Records and was featured on a recent V/A EP on Roundabout Sounds entitled, "Fly Pattern EP". Label boss Joe Babylon reached out to Detoit house legend D Wynn to remix the title track. For those that don't already know, D Wynn was the resident DJ at the histroic Music Institute as well as tour DJ for Inner City. He's also one half of R-Tyme with Derrick May.

Nebraska is someone who's tracks we've been loving for a good few years now and finally managed to pin him down for a release here on Delusions Of Grandeur. The UK producer is something of an enigma, and despite some amazing releases on Rush Hour still remains resolutely underground and seems to keep his releases to a minimum, focusing on keeping the quality high rather than flooding the market with average material. Once again, he brings the real deal with three drum-heavy warehouse jams to nice-up the dancefloor.

Aw-right (Mute Version) sets the tone with a raw house groove that keeps things stripped to the bare minimum. A bouncing bassline and rattling percussion break help to define the track but it's the dusty, dubby approach to the mix which really makes the track shine.

Next up we have Warp And Weft, a similar sounding track but by dropping the BPM's Nebraska has created a sublime low-slung, bumpy groove to really move to.

Flipping over we're treated to the brilliant Eighty Eights which will have you nodding your head like the Churchill's dog before you can say 'looped up piano and bass one bar groove repeated for over eight and a half minutes shouldn't work should it'

Ultra Knites continue their fine form and unleash the second installmant of the Knite Grooves series. This time round, Sem Marini is handed the A side while Mike Sharon welcomes vocalist Karina Junker for B side duties. There's no need for us to describe the tracks in words, that's what the player above is for. Into the fourth release on the label and many have begun to describe this label's output as 'perfect', Knite Grooves Vol. 2 is certainly no exception.

A1. Alessio Collina - Love and fight

After his productive 2014 with releases on ViVa Music and Serkal, the owner Alessio Collina is back on Trend with a new weapon.
When you listen Love and fight' you can feel the detroit-techno influences, full of crazy pads and chords, especially during the breakdown and after that.
Perfect for the dancefloor, this track gives a Techno-Detroit touch to this record, that is still pretty house music.

A2. Scan Mode - Triciclo

If you don't know Scan Mode, you should listen something from him because his style is really singular.
He released stuff on labels like Cadenza, Safari Numerique, Esperanza and many more, he came back on Trend after his great remix for Jorge Savoretti played by the master Fred P.
His track Triciclo' has a very nice old school groove and some great 80's chords, but the bassline still fat.

B1. Hector Moralez - G Shit

Hector doesn't need to any presentation.
He worked with artists like Dj Sneak, Chris Carrier, Sidney Charles, Phil Weeks, Flashmob and many more, with releases on very respectable labels in the world like Apollonia, Avotre, Robsoul and many more.
His G shit' is the perfect example of the art of sampling.
Here the voice sample is grooving in the full length of the track and, sometimes, few piano chords appear.


B2. Timmy P - Foulsoul

Timmy Perry aka Timmy P is an english producer who has released very interesting music on labels like Local Talk, Witty tunes and many more.
His track in the B side called Foulsoul' has a lot of 80's influences in a lot of elements like bass, pads, chords and the whole groove.
This one completes the record in the best way!

Andrés's is back on his own La Vida imprint. As expected Dez comes correct with his warm, sample-heavy version of Detroit house music. "Believin'" nuances Dez's killer hip-hop house sound with bold vocal sampling and deep Brazilian influences. Well worth the wait!

Chicago Damn marks his second release on Merc !

Capturing the labels twisted house aesthetic with his own take on looped out house jams with 4 new workouts.
Sounding like a sonic sunset playlist, the EP drifts between Balearic beatdown, Chicago House & Brazillian Carnival but with added North Eastern England grit.

It's been Local Talk bosses Mad Mats & Tooli's secret weapon during their DJ sets over the past months and have destroyed clubs from London to Berlin.

"Incredibly this is already D'Marc Cantu's third EP of the year following efforts on new label One Electronica and Ansatz.

Of course, he has released on MOS many times before, including 2012's full length A New World. This new EP, Long Weekend, features three new tracks of fully formed house and techno with more than a touch of acid along the way.

The title track opens the EP with a lively house jam that has proud kick drums, plenty of muffled and deeply buried chords and a busy bassline that darts about like a kangaroo on hot rocks. It's propulsive and emotive as it surges along, taking you with it every step of the way. Next up, '1Lb Of Flesh' is a much more jagged and serrated track, mainly because of the manic acid squiggle that runs right through the heart of the slapping snares and icy cold hi hats. Full throttle and as ever delightfully frayed and analogue sounding, it's a real face melter. Last but by no means least, 'Acid Test' is the quickest of the lot, coming over like a slick, powerful fusion of electro and techno that whips and snaps as Dance Mania style snares flap about above a grilling bassline and acid wiggles in and out. It's a busy, fulsome track but never feels cluttered and rounds out another exceptional EP from both MOS and main man D'Marc Cantu."

With a discography of releases dating back to 1991, New York native Henry Maldonado credits his home city as inspiration and motivation for his art.
As part of the House 2 House trio on Strictly Rhythm, Maldonado and crew would fire out a relentless assault of New York style sampled and deep house tracks coveted by New York mainstays Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Tony Humphries, Roger Sanchez, Timmy Regisford to name but a few.

Today Henry produces and DJs as Son Of Sound and continues to push the limits of the underground by taking his knowledge of the past, combining it with a deep love for the city he grew up in and a penchant for quality underground club culture.

Robert Arnold aka Cuthead has impressed us with his releases on Uncanny Valley and Kunst:stoff Breakz and delivers a remix that has all the Cuthead trademarks. Stammering drumming, impeccable bass programming and dreamy samples.

Dink & TK are back with that downtown tech-house funk sound. 'This That' is a back-to-back EP featuring Dink's 'Pop Top', a rich tech-house groove with bouncing kicks and lush sample manipulation, and TK's 'Call Me, Baby', a techno-inspired house tune with evolving percussion and atmospheric vocal evolution.

Well respected French DJ and producer DJ Deep joins the L.I.E.S. roster with a new three track ep paying homage to the days of old when house and techno were a fresh and exciting music revolution. This ep perfectly balances the sounds and energy of the past and renewed vibrance and resurgance of what's happening now in Paris.

Back in 1994, I hosted a radio show on FG98.2FM on rue Rebeval in Paris. For us these were the formative days of the radio, our sounds were not accepted by a mainstream audience and this small and rough station (which is now a well established station) gave us a great opportunity and outlet to play the music we loved over the airwaves with no limitations. For us this was a huge deal, to be able to give a voice to the music we loved and present it to a wider audience with an undying passion and enthusiasm that young djs usually have.

Recently I had posted an archive mix from one of the old shows on the internet and Ron had commented on it. Inspired by these sounds and energy from this time period, I went into the studio and composed a group of tracks with this feeling in mind. Thus this project, which I named Rebeval, as that was the street where the radio's first location existed is now born.

Featuring CHARLOTTE LE ROUGE on vocals this is a haunting Balearic song with sparse, but tense beats. The COSMIC METAL MOTHER remix adds some sax and takes the track down to lower Manhattan with a LOUNGE LIZARDS vibe. B/w a remix by label head DENNIS KANE that brings the party vibe.
