On the flip and 'Sunshine of Your Love' get's tastefully jacked for the floor by the mysterious Sir Bed & Sir Go. Finally the last lick is a slice of proper bootleg garage.. Bright as you like!

Way down into South America deepness there's a city named Cordoba. Inside this city dwell the Rationalism family and thru this family members imaginary, beats of all sorts are evoked, thus came "Crudeza Cordobesa" a superb compilation, including four proper Argentinian gentlemen and one amazing Paraguayan.

Next up on Visionquest is the second single from Wareika's righteous and raw 'Wternal' album. 'All Little Things', here in its 'Club Mix' incarnation, is another example of the trio's hefty musicianship and unbridled eccentric energy, where jazzy textures and pulsating grooves build up with a rising melody to the powerful vocal drop. On the first remix Visionquest & Nikko Gibler develop expansive piano melodies alongside an elasticated bassline and vocal snippets. Fred P reigns over the B-side with his raw, deep hypnotic 'Reshape' and warmed up 'Spirit Dub'. This is a distinctly diverse remix package from a rich artistic source.



Hamburg trio Wareika started as a project in 2007 with a collection of shining releases on prestigious labels such as Connaisseur, Eskimo, Future Classic and Circus Company, and three studio albums on Perlon, liebe*detail and Tartelet Records, Wareika's style ranges from Balearic to deep Techno, jazzy House sounds and from Balkan-Jazz to dubby riddims but always retains the smart intellect, depth and dynamism in composition Wareika is known for.



Their thrilling jazz-marries-techno live shows has now been captured on vinyl and CD with fourth full-length album 'Wternal' recorded in one 65min take and out now on Visionquest. After remixes for David Lynch and Benoit & Sergio in the past couple of years, Visionquest, the artists, here join forces with Nikko Gibler - a multi instrumentalist and composer based in Hollywood, who's also released records on Culprit and Leftroom.

Fred P aka Black Jazz Consortium is one of the godfathers of the New York house movement and a true master of that often overused accolade 'deep'. Fred P runs Soul People Music and has appeared on Jus-Ed's imprint Underground Quality.

In 2011 when Mad Mats and Tooli went to Sonar Festival in Barcelona they met Ludovic Llorca aka Art Of Tones outside a club.
Little did they know back then that two years later on they would release a 12' together.

The Same Thing EP opens with the title track and kicks pretty damn sweet with it's strong vocal, the guitar, bass and rhodes jamming on top of a tight groove, there's also a dub version included on the b-side.
Last but not least, The Great Sgatmi is a jazzy and bumpy house take with lot's of samples perfectly balanced.

All in all, classic Art Of Tones material and the work of a producer firing on all cylinders.

Since the age of 7, when Brandon Edward Mitchell first began to take an interest in singing and performing, the multifaceted vocalist has only expanded his creative perspective and diversified his creative output. His highly varied experience with music, which he continues to draw from to this day, (from jazz to rock, soul, funk, classical, & electronica) has served as the foundation on which his growth as an artist has been built. Throughout his development he has continued to push the envelope, both stylistically and content wise; this is particularly true when discussing his work in Hip-Hop, which is laden with dynamic collaborations with the likes of Dabrye, Samiyam and Georgia Anne Muldrow. Drawing both on his recording experience in Hip-Hop (MC Kadence) and experimental pop music (Barefoot Sneaker Slaves) his work will only continue to evolve and grow in texture and depth. In contrast to Mitchell's work as Kadence on Dabrye's Two/Three LP, this collaboration is an uplifting and soulful sound that's tailored for Mitchell's powerful singing. Here Mullinix's production experiments with sound-design and composition but on a foundation of domestic R&B/jazz melody and a groove that is techno and house music tradition.

The spoken-word sample embodies its ambi-
tions: this is house music as storytelling in the
vein of DJ Sprinkles or Marshall Jefferson's
"Mushrooms".

Dario D'Attis's remix roughens up the edges of
the original in fne style, adding thump, bounce
and distorted metallic tones before a fzzing
climax engineered for pleasure on peak-time
foors.
The package is rounded off by a real deep house
burner: the spacious, pulsing "From A Bird's
Eye View" with its soul-drenched vocal, distant
strings and glimmering chimes.
"Play this song about 3 or 4 times a day," says
the voice on "This Song": a prescription for an
EP that's destined for heavy rotation.

Harald Grosskopf is a member of legendary German cult band ASHRA (ASH RA TEMPEL) around guitarist Manuel Göttsching. In the beginning of the Seventies he was drummer for Classic Rock band WALLENSTEIN, the COSMIC COURIERS and on a few albums of KLAUS SCHULZE. Subconscio sounds like a water serpent orbiting around a black moon; elusive artist Efestion and krautrock pioneer Harald Grosskopf lead the beast.

The 3rd outing from Legwork comes from one of our label heads in Lance DeSardi and singer/song writter Jesse Rennix. This one's been a long time in the making, but the final product is well worth the blood, sweat and tears. With a heavy nod to Prescription Records and the 1st & 2nd wave Detriot pioneers, emotion is the order of the day. Not much else to say, other than see for yourself... The heavens await.

Session Victim love what they do. The pure joy they get from writing, producing and performing their unique blend of underground dance music oozes from their very pores, translating into pure good vibes for anyone witnessing the duo in action. As a label, we couldn't be more proud to see their growth and development from a couple of self confessed semi-reclusive studio geeks into the globe-trotting DJ's and headlining live-act they've now become. With their second LP for Delusions Of Grandeur about to drop it's easy to hear their constant drive to push themselves emanating from their new material. Never ones to stand still, the victims choose to draw influence and inspiration from their travels and the new surroundings they constantly find themselves in which, in the case of See You When You Get There, happens to be the beautiful city of San Francisco.

Here we present the second part in a trilogy of LP samplers kicking things off with Do It Now, a rolling fusion of disco beats, synth bleeps, rhodes licks and guitar hits all whacked in the Session Victim blender. Next up is Hey Stranger, where a more melancholic vibe prevails, the crisp beats punctuated now and then with the brilliant vocal hook. Make People Dance is up next, starting off as a mellow, jazz jam before things take a left turn and go heads down into a percussion-fueled rhythm section with the looped up 'make people dance' vocal getting under your skin. Finally we have title track See You When You Get There in all its Balearic glory, glowing warmly with arpeggiating synths, lilting guitar tune and gentle groove.

It's time for the second release on Diamonds And Pearls in 2012. Two of the most singular and distinct forces in house and techno today team up for a special sonic treat. We are talking about the two alechmists XDB and Kassem Mosse. So get yourself ready for two extended journeys into techno, house and beyond. XDB's "Ekatem" is a driving, rough and ready house track with a beautifully bubbling square bassline and dirty synth work.
On the flip XDB is joined by Kassem Mosse for an exploration into the outer reaches of house music. "Omrish" is a gritty-yet-atmospheric jam, full of shimmering chords and floating synth melodies which are puntuated by double kicks and crisp cymbals. Mesmerizing stuff.

Danny Ward aka Dubble D, Moodymanc, Vault, Balaphonic is no newcomer to the music scene.
Having lived and breathed music since the late 80s Danny is an avid crate digger, Jazz musician, producer, re-mixer and DJ. The opening track 'Morning' is all about the rhythm, it's house with an irresistible swing, strong piano hook and chants.

Making a return to the label is one of electronic music's most prolific producer duos, DJs, and live acts, Kyodai.
Their remix of Mr Ruff is one of those end of the night tracks you do not want to end while the original version is one bumpy and syncopated bass synth driven workout.

Damian Lazarus and the Ancient Moons debut single on Crosstown Rebel's get's remixed by Carl Craig & Willie Burns. The original version of 'Lovers' Eyes (Mohe Pi Ki Najariya)' is the first release from Lazarus's new collaborative artist project, and is quickly becoming one of this years anticipated records. Now, hot on it's heels comes two killer remixes to compliment the original.

On the A Side Carl Craig impeccably tweaks and twists Lazarus original version into submission. A barrage of growling synths and drums drives this version front and centre to the dance-floor, Carl works his magic in creating something truly unique with this remix. He succeeds in doing justice to original whilst taking it further and darker into the abyss. On the flip and Willie Burns (Crème Organization / L.I.E.S.) loops Fareed Ayaz, Abu Muhammad and Hamza Akram vocals to maximum hypnotic effect. A cavalcade of lopped, layered vocals build and beguile over the swelling electronic resonance of Willie's sparse yet powerful production.

Two great remixes that are already seeing some heavy disco rotation, and are set to highlight this Summers dance-floors with some Quwwali Electronic mayhem!
