Four Remixes from the new album of New York's Phenomenal Handclap Band. The perfect band for the new "organic dance music" and "Nu Disco" wave.

Their LP PHB was a favorite of DJs like Harvey, Gilles Peterson, Artwork and many more and for sure the Remixes will be on heavy rotation too. NYC Disco legend Danny Krivit made a hot disco edit. Cooper Saver from the Westcoast serves a breakbeat club version that kicks ass and Ray Mang, London's legendary man for effective disco and funky house, delivers a fresh disco version of Jugde Not.

HDSN has a style all his own, but his disco tingled, futuristic, groovy sound evolved from the likes of Paul Johnson or Armand Van Helden who played around with old records using samplers and drum machines in the 90s, when House Music was mostly an underground phenomenon that could only be heard at nightclubs or through homemade DJ mixes. So it´s hardly surprising that his latest EP sounds like it was straight out of this golden era - with “Whiplash" he delivers one of the best records to hit the market yet, pure vibes and so ecstatic through out the course of all four tracks that are outstanding. HDSN is the best at holding you in a groove, keeping you there using chopped samples, and forward moving drum patterns like sweeping sensations. Deep88 is back!


Here is a 7 track LP, music without any pretence, no silly fx or crazy compression/production tricks to take away from the music.. Just that 1988/1993 vibe with a slight Balearic twist but some how avoiding to sound like a poor copy or dated.


This last statement couldn't be any truer on this release.


The vibe is carried through the whole EP with each consequent track then offering something a little bit different, some showing his balearic side and other tracks having a more house feel.

Helena returns with its 7th release, this time from Uruguayan alchemist Fede Lijtmaer.

Each of the three originals shows off his flair and musicality, be it the switch-up drum patterns and delicate keys of 'Só Um Momento', the more deliberate swagger of 'Serendipia' or the mutating synth line that weaves its aleatoric way through 'Somewhere' – everywhere shades of Steve Pickton, Casey Tucker, and other early UK proponents of the Detroit sound.

Finally, compatriot and friend Z@P remixes 'Somewhere', taking familiar but unexpected elements (Chicago house drums and Mathew Jonson synths) and turning them into something entirely modern.

It's game time ladies and gents - and our next release is here. To celebrate the eighth record, we have a special white label affair coming up from none other than HDSN, who passionately ripped the heart and soul out of three new tracks once again. Woven together with organic, electronic textures but also displaying an undoubted soulful quality, The Game represents a sound that is born out of a deep love and appreciation for the music.


Indeed, the title track is definitely the peak time bomb on the record. The track is wrapped up in a kicking groove, powerful drums, a driving baseline and nice looped vocals - all combined to make for a sure crowd-mover, which is gonna throw any crowd into an uncontrollable frenzy as soon as the deep bass and soulful sounds blast through the speakers. “The Power” really encompasses what house music is all about: it's a feeling of unity, no matter your race or sexuality. It’s pure positivity, with its roots in gospel and soul.


The hypnotizing Rhodes line and the blistering vocals provide the listener with a real chance to rediscover the lightheartedness lost in the chaos of modern life. Positive and infectious, this one is impossible not to love. Elegant in its simplicity, it's pure and (unlike much contemporary music), not overproduced. “The G-Code” can best be described as one big trip down memory lane, an anthem the hood danced to in the past. A tune that pulls no punches, it is packed with heavy swung beats and deep and sleazy rap samples, a move which grants the release an undoubted hip-hop swagger. A limited edition release, HDSN's latest iOS definitely one worth cherishing.

Pietro 'Bingo' De Lisi and Alex Carpentieri aka Italian duo System of Survival, have long been renowned for their raucous live cuts, the likes of which have firmly established their name amongst fans of discerning house and techno. Regulars at Ibiza institution, Circoloco at DC10, the boys knack for a tune has also brought them to the attention of respected label outlets such as Bpitch Control, Freak n'Chic, Moodmusic, Rawax and Get Physical. However, their latest release - released here via the emerging Deset Music - might just be their best yet. The label's inaugural release sees the boys perk up with two stunning originals and are back by remixes from none other than two Chi-town legends, Boo Williams and Ricardo Miranda.
Opening up the sounds of the release is 'Nu Soul Era'. A raucous, deep cut that displays all that's excellent about System of Survival, this one goes firmly down the rabbit hole in search of kicks. Characterised by its quite brilliant and catchy baseline, the action is dark and trippy throughout, with a firm emphasis placed on a groove that never lets its guard down throughout. A majestic start to the EP, it gets us underway with some distinction.
System of Survival's other original is 'Funky Left Funky Right'. Again, the duo expertly showcase their penchant for melodic structures, this time via a bleepy baseline that's perfectly suited to peak-time floors. Ricardo Miranda's interpretation goes deep and off-kilter, but remains true to the original's full-on characteristics. A stunning indication of the producer's eclecticism and studio mastery, it's an intoxicating take on a track that's never lacking in suspense.

Seeing us out the door is Boo Williams' remix of 'Nu Soul Era'. The 'Mortal Trance' producer can always be relied on to bring the heat in his own inimitable way, and he does so here with the sort of panache for which he's best renowned. Injecting the original with every more bounce, he wastes no time in getting down to business, setting his stall out via an acid-led, 909-flavoured remix that offers up a tantalising version of what's arrived before. An all-round stunning EP of various shapes and sizes, there's plenty here for fans of discerning house and techno to get stuck into on this one.

V.C.V.S. was founded by Irakli Shonia and Sandro Kozmanishvili in Tbilisi, in 2016. After spending considerable time together in the studio, the debut CD album 'Sections from the Imaginary Future' was released in May 2017 on label 'Hanker", containing more ambient/experimental music. After two intense years, Irakli and Sandro found new inspirations and ideas, which led them to return to the studio and record the EP called HUM in August 2018. DJ Sotofett made a variation of Trapped in the Corner together with Kalifornia Keke.

SoSure Music continue to celebrate the legendary work of ‘Directors Cut’, one of house music’s most memorable partnerships. This time Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper’s euphoric vocal house classic, ‘Get Over U’ feat. B Slade, gets the rework treatment from esteemed US DJ Tedd Patterson and Berlin-based Chambray, alongside an edit from Sami Dee and Frankie’s own Mr Director’s ‘Feels Good’ Dub, which has never been released on vinyl until now.

The package opens with two brand new remixes. First up is Berlin-based Chambray who has previously delivered a range of dancefloor bombs and worked with the likes of Laurent Garnier and DJ Haus while establishing himself as a respected name in underground music. Here he delivers an energetic and contemporary House meets disco rework, bright and uplifting with piano stabs, electronic claps and brilliantly reworked vocals.

Next is esteemed US DJ/producer Tedd Patterson, who throughout his career has earned the title of House Music royalty and is regarded as one of the best-known house DJs in the world. He delivers a remix that retains the classic house feel; verging into disco territory with big strings and jazz influences whilst always maintaining the dancefloor focus.

The B-side focuses on the original mixes that Frankie and Eric produced in 2012 which still sound just as fresh today. Sami Dee serves up a brilliant edit of the Director’s Cut Mix while Frankie’s own Mr Director’s ‘Feels Good’ Dub takes the final slot, a cut which has never been released on vinyl until now.

Two new remixes from very different and unique artists, both paying homage to the original, whilst bringing a fresh new direction. Combine this with the original Director’s Cut remixes on the B side and you’ve got the perfect package - one which would no doubt have received the seal of approval by Frankie himself. Altogether it is feel good house at its best.

2021 repress of this classic UK house record, produced by Jaime Read. A staple in many a House DJ's bag since the 90s, the name LHAS (Larry Heard Appreciation Society) should give you serious clue on what to expect here. BIG TIP!

Groovebox Masters is a live act project by Max Telaer & Habibi Grooves. The set is played with two Grooveboxes (Roland mc-505) and it brings their own produced tracks on the machines together resulting in the Raw Underground House Sound.

Gerd's return to Royal Oak! For the occasion he dusted of the classic gear and especially the Yamaha DX100. Four tracks from Planet F.M.D.X.

From the vaults! 1992 KMS records pressure straight from Detroit, still capable of causing much damage on dance-floors in 2016! This 4 track monster pulls together a pretty heavy cast of Detroit Techno and deep House royalty in the shape of Chez Damier, MK and Derrick May all contributing various mixes and versions across the EP. If deep, driving, soul drenched House is your bag you will be in heaven with "Can you feel it", a truly classic slice of sophisticated dance music indeed. All of the mixes are killers, but it's the "MK Dub" mix, also known as the "New York Dub" that really steals the show, here MK and May combine to craft a classy, slamming, emotive string driven jam that pushes all the right buttons. As usual, essential retrospective action here from one of the most legendary dance labels out of Detroit. All tracks remastered and fully licensed with the sole permission of Mr. Kevin Saunderson. 100% legit and not ready to quit!

Electric Blue presents another outstanding and timeless release by Ron Trent aka RT Factor! E.B.S. 1 is a 15 minutes musical journey by the Chicago Master.

The second record for the celebrations of the 50th Uncanny Valley release is peppered with familiar faces and artists who will release for the first time on the Dresden based label. After Uncanny Valley 50.1 anticipated the coming summer, Uncanny Valley 50.7 creates a slightly menacing heat lightning. The perfect soundtrack for the phenomenon that is commonly known as Aurora Polaris. The American-Australian duo The Golden Filter make their debut on Uncanny Valley. And it's a tailor-made start. THE PULL is centered around minimalistic drum work, dystopian pads and sparse vocal dots that aim for an inward catharsis. A returnee after eight years is mysterious Mayan Gold from Dresden. His KOMM UND ENTSPANNE (means come and relax) rides on acidic waves and embracing synths, which develop an enormous pull effect on the dance floor. Norwegian Charlotte Bendiks' first track on Uncanny Valley continues the sound language she developed on Comeme. PASCO is a Percussion-heavy track that sounds just as compelling as it is disturbingly beautiful. Music to lose your mind to. Finally, Austin-based artist Katrina Fairlee teams up with Uncanny Valley-stable Sneaker for the psychedelic drum lesson that is OAK.

Debut release from AREAMAN CHICAGO featuring four tracks of club burning house inspired by the underground sound of the future. 3 mixes for creative DJ functionality and a special 4th track to blast your dance party into an ecstatic apex. This record is actually “hot as hell". Don’t sleep on this. Highly recommended!

Kelli Hand has long been at the front of Detroit House and Techno as a DJ and as a producer, in the past she has collaborated and released music with Claude Young, Robert Hood, Mike Banks and many more and her own Acacia Records label has released a long string of essential 12"s since it's 1990 inception. "Tools Vol.1" was released in 2002 and features 4 solid cuts from Kelli who is in full-on House mode. This EP is definitely for the DJ's, with each track being a real joy to blend in and out of the mix, you might even need 2 copies of this one!

On side-A opener "My Love" is a stomping, stripped back, peak-time killer that's all heavy drums, trippy synth sounds and a lusty female voice while second track "Without You" is a smoothed-out vocal cut with rough beats, a rolling Disco leaning bass-line and some slick horns. On side-B we have "Remember When", an epic, string laden banger that builds and builds, getting heavier and more rhythmic as the track progresses. Finishing out the EP is "Want U Back" a pacey, organ driven 90's vibing House jam laced with vocals and samples, big room business!

This elusive EP has been tough to track down in the past, and we are proud to make it available again, re-mastered, re-pressed and re-released in conjunction with Kelli and Acacia Records Detroit.
