The Chicago based Perpetual Rhythms label head honchos, Chicagodeep & Taelue, present their personal works here on a 2x12" gatefold release comprised of two solo eps from each. After releasing tracks on their own, as well as labels such as Minuendo, Boe Recordings, and Rough House Rosie, they bring to the forefront their brand of house, techno, and electronic music with Metaphoric Expressions.

Large Music continues to showcase the brilliant and creative work of early 90s artists Black Ice with a re-issue of one of the most sought after early Chicago House releases- the Union Camp EP. Originally released in 1993 on the historic Night Club Records, Large Music has now licensed the tracks exclusively for a worldwide vinyl-only release. While all four tracks possess that classic raw Chi-town Soul vibe, it is Track 1, Men on Drums, that has garnered the most attention. Championed the last few years by respected Berlin-based DJ Zip, many of the elite vinyl-only DJs across the globe have sough out a clean copy of this very rare wax masterpiece.

ome might say Jordan Fields is one of the most criminally underappreciated figures to rise out of Chicago in the late 90s, not for people who know what's what though. After a career spanning more than 20 years he has established himself as one of the key figures of the underground. Coming out of where everything started, Chicago, Jordan released records on a handful of key labels like Catalyst, Track Mode, SOM Underground, Mood Groove, Maffia. He did not stop there and today he is still releasing bangers having never lost that magic touch that has kept him firmly grounded on the purest form of the underground, and that, after more than 20 years is pretty much unheard of. When we first contacted Jordan we wanted to go back to where it all started, we wanted to be transported to late 90s Chicago, to a time where it was all about the dance floor, when tracks meant something more than songs, when purely club-oriented music was the purest form of the underground. To be honest we were not expecting to get exactly what we wanted straight away, he immediately sent us a collection of tools straight out of DAT tapes he had, going all the way back to the 90s and early 2000s, so yeah to say that we are excited with this release would be a huge understatement. This is a collection of tools meant for the dancefloor, not reminiscent of some gone by era, these are the real deal, made by a true master, 20 years ago, for the future.

Melbourne synthesist Harvey Sutherland brings four stripped-back rhythm tracks to Echovolt Records for his debut 12'. Features a long edit of 'Q3' from last year's limited cassette release, plus three new original cuts.
Developed and refined from Sutherland's improvised live show, the 'Edges E.P.' glides between the sparse melodic funk on 'Sunday Flower' to the tightly-wound house shuffle of 'Speaking Your Language'. The title track rounds out the B-side - a long rollicking hardware jam, all Juno brass and marching band snares.

We present the Decay debut of TIJN including a killer remix from Pezzner. Label boss of In Haus Wax & self titled TIJN Label, both vinyl only outlets, & Digital Label Deep Edition Recordings, UK-born TIJN has been making house records since 2007 as Martijn but more recently as TIJN taking a more direct analog approach in the studio. Recently he has dropped a string of releases on labels such as Overall Music LTD Isgud Records & WORX topping vinyl buzz charts . 2014 saw TIJN start his own eponymous label, with the first vinyl-only 12" release featuring French master Djebali, being played by the Francophone-trio Apollonia also gaining support along the from Tuccillo, Ryan Elliot and DJ W!ld. An ccomplished producer as well as DJ, TIJN has played alongside renowned selectors like Steffi, Jordan Peak, Sossa and Dyed Soundorom, playing his own particular take on house and techno.

Bristol based producers Behling & Simpson take on remixing some Kerri Chandler classics this August with the 'Heaven' EP, set to drop via Kerri's very own Madhouse Records
imprint.

Madhouse Records boss Kerri Chandler needs no introduction having been one of the most prominent names in underground house music for over two decades now. While rising talents Behling & Simpson's collective output has been championed by the likes of Claude von Stroke, Derrick Carter, Ralph Lawson, Modeselektor and many more over the pairs 100+ previous releases between them (under various guises), this stands as testament to their undeniable ability to craft forward-thinking electronic music.

First up on the release we have 'Heaven' featuring Christopher McCray on vocal duties, Behling & Simpson's prevalent low-slung, dropped tempo rhythms take the lead, alongside hypnotic lowend tones, while the duo capture Chandler's warm musicality with style utilizing the original's bright chord progressions and smooth vocal licks, creating an intricate, intelligent slice of house. 'Peace Of My Mind' follows on the flip side, a track originally released on Madhouse in 2011, though returning to the label in 2014 with an intriguing reshape courtesy of the Behling & Simpson, again taking on the pair's niche slo-mo feel, setting the tone and radiantly showcasing why their sound stands tall above many of their
contemporaries in such an effortlessly cool way.

It doesn't get any deeper than this! A classic, overlooked EP from Wayne Gardiner aka Classic Man from 1993 on the legendary Nervous Records label, "No More Mind Games" is up there with the classics of it's era. That sparse, jazzy, soulful, early 90's NYC edge is present in all the tracks here and the whole EP is solid from start to finish, all killer, no filler!

Kicking things off, "Rapid Winds" is a vibe heavy, pad laden beauty that rolls along gently and touches all the right spots while the following 2 mixes of "Keepin On" chop up D-Train and Raw Silk vocal snippets into a bouncing organ driven banger, keeping the Disco spirit alive in true Garage fashion! Rounding out the EP is 2 storming alternate mixes of "No More Mind Games", built around a vocal sample lifted from the accapella version of Quests classic "Mind Games", used here to devastating effect alongside Gardiners deep vibes and choppy drums. If you've been with us for a while, you've noticed we like to begin each year on a particularly exuberant, boisterous note, and 2016's kickoff is no different than those that preceded it!

We begin the second half of this decade with our first EP by Klaves, a relatively new name whom you might've picked up on when he released a spectacular single on PMR's Beat Club imprint. He's remained quite quiet since then, so we're extra joyous to be unleashing what is effectively his second offering on our humble label.

Say It starts off with its title track, a compact, tight little number that fidgets its way through its four minute runtime in what feels half as long. It's always the fun stuff that's most fleeting, right Well, not necessarily: the original is followed by a slightly lengthier remix by Studio Barnhus affiliate, the enigmatic and idiosyncratic Baba Stiltz. The Swede spices 'Say It' up with a ladle of saucy piano and playful pitch bends.

The B-side, 'Awake,' does what its name indicates it's supposed to and keeps you alert. The swinging shuffler takes the energy of the first tune and ratchets it up yet another notch for an explosive finale. Or beginning! One of our favorite things about this 12' is that, despite zipping by in a flurry of adrenaline, it can be played back to front and front to back and still have the same effect. Short and sweet. Very sweet.

Wrapping up the summer with a bit of a 90s throwback number by St. David, Fools Jam. The EP opens with the the titual track, a crunchy, crisp deep house burner, and moves on, with 'Night Lovers,' into speedier, smoother floor-filling fodder that's all wiggling, weaving pads and synth leads. The B is a little gentler and more contemplative, but no less melodious; 'Dream It (Emphasi Mix)' is a playful yet gauzy piano-led tune that serenades the listener, and 'La Luna (Spiritual Dub)' is a tranquil ditty that serenely glides off into the distance. A calming, mellow conclusion to a particularly emotive 12-inch.

For nearly three decades, Laurent Garnier has urged himself to create on
the cutting edge of dance music. Beyond the turntables and studio,
Garnier moves between genres and performance techniques with the
aim of continuously challenging himself. Pick any moment from his
musical journey, and it's easy to see this creative momentum: there was
the Hacienda in the late '80s, his time spent in America exploring house,
the techno of his label F Communications and his entry into the realm of
jazz. "I never want to be an old artist playing my old tracks just to please
the older crowd," he says. "I don't think that's healthy." (RA)
Laurent Garnier is now a and undeniable force that is making the planet
dance.
Last summer (2013) Laurent Garnier met with Jerome Derradji over
dinner before his long awaited return at the decks in Chicago for
SmartBar. Longtime friends, Laurent and Jerome talked about the
possibility of releasing some of his new productions under the name
Garnier. A new venture for the veteran Dj and producer, that will see him
release a series of 12's for labels such as 50 Weapons and more....
'AF 0490' is the first release in the series and showcases Garnier at his
best.
Three tracks that pay their respect to the heroes of Trax, Dancemania
and to the Chicago sound they helped create without any misplaced
nostalgia.
'Bang (The Underground Doesn't Stop)' is a dancefloor anthem,
magnificent and pure Chicago circa 1998. 'Boom (Chakolak)' takes you
way back to the Southside with its gritty 'footwork' 909 kicks, snares and
vocal loops, massive! 'Beat (Da BoxX) is a pure Garnier, Dancemania
inspired techno monster. The loop is finally complete, Garnier can now
hop on flight AF 0490 direct from Paris to Chicago to Bang The Box
once more.
