Amsterdam's fastest, getting down with the machines and laying down some proper dirty rhythm tracks.....

Over the last sixteen years Moods & Grooves has amassed a staggeringly impressive label family that includes names like Theo Parrish, Mr G, Kyle Hall, Rick Wade, Andres & Kenny Dixon Jr. aka Moodymann. This May the legendary Detroit label returns with a seminal thirteen-track album from veteran DJ & producer Joe Le Bon entitled 'House Music Love Music'.

With this new LP Jarno Eerola aka Joe Le Bon demonstrates his inimitable production prowess, garnered from a musical career spanning more than twenty years and encompassing releases on labels such as International Deejay Gigolo Records, Pro-Tez, Plastik.FM and Blumenbeat. Alongside his own output the Berlin-based artist has written tracks and remixes for numerous producers, most notably composing DJ Hells chart- smashing remix of Tim Deluxe 'Transformations' which saw six continuous weeks at number one on Beatport.

Jarno's polished production ability and aptitude for exploring diverse sounds and rhythms whilst maintaining a resolute warmth and depth to every cut is the most prevalent footnote across the course of the album. For 'Ghosts On Cassette' the Berlin-based producer works whirring space-like atmospherics over hypnotic beats and shuffling snares to dish up a smooth and captivating opener. 'For Yasuni' and 'The Road Is Under Repair' get worked over subtle synth patterns and crisp percussion to offer up some of the more emotive provisions on the album. This in contrast to the deep driving beats of 'House Music Love Music' and the more club-ready tracks like '82 Degrees' or 'Like Cotton Deep Orchestra' truly exemplifies the wide-ranging nature of the album.

All in all Joe Le Bon has structured a sublime body of work that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home or the middle of a dance floor, each and every track oozes depth and sits as a true testament to his abilities in the studio.

After a short break in releases, Plastik People are back with the third installment of the Various People. We see label owner Marc Cotterell up first with his slice of 90's house music, incorperating slick grooves and catchy cut up vocals, along side mark on side A, a new addition to the Plastik People family from london, Charles Caliber, who graces the EP with a stunning soulful house groove called Moving On. On the flip side NYC artist Doug Gomez brings us a classic sounding, deep head nodding track which was originally releases on Frole records and we loved it so much that we decided it needed a vinyl releases, to round off the EP Mikki Funk graces us w with a splendid cut of UK garage from Mikki Funk has released previously on RM Records and Music IS Love & we love his work.

The vinyl release from Japanese DJ/producer Kaoru Inoue's alias Chari Chari as the new band. It has been 14 years since the last release Aurora EP - which has been played by lots of deep house DJs - on vinyl.

Vinyl is still personal and the reason of existence of the V.I.P. Series. The previous three V.I.P. releases were all one-sided so it was more than time to give you a full E.P. of WPH goodies. And when we realized that there has never ever been a full remix E.P. on WPH the decision was quite easy.
So we present you an E.P. with 4 remixes of FCL's 'Can We Try'. And seeing as we care about value for your money you are presented with 4 very different takes on the FCL original. After all, we already pleased girls and gays alike with some dubs on the very first FCL release 'Vocals For Everyone'.

The Deetron remix sees the Swiss dancefloor master in his usual storming remix form, making for a monster of a track. Label boss Red D celebrates his love for old Italian Yamaha DX 21 house sounds and cuts up the vocal MK style. WPH mainstay Russ Gabriel asked Red D to do a remix of this one himself and who are we to refuse him Knowing that he will deliver with class and panache. A fourth and final version sees Kiani & His Legion going for a Daft Punk approach to great effect.

General Ludd is Rich McMaster from New Jersey and Tom Marshallsay from Canterbury. The guys met at the Glasgow Art School, where Rich studied environmental art and Tom studied fine art. Their first collaborations were interactive sound installations, but that quickly gave way to all night music making sessions. This is their second EP for us - a more left field turn than their first, but, we can assure you, both tracks will break discerning dancefloors wide open.

Intr0beatz from Iceland is making some serious waves in the music industry at the moment and is next up on the Something Else 12" series. With these 3 original tracks 'All Set', 'Make My Day' & 'Sour Dough' he perfectly combines the ethos of the labels sound, as he blends the right amount of old skool vibes to sit this perfectly on the right side of the 90's bar. No gimmicks, just pure house vibes that jack and groove for days.

WPH kicks off 2015 with a new E.P. by the mighty Luv Jam from Wales. Living in a universe that is entirely his own Andrew Cole has cooked up two more of his 'especially for WPH'-tracks.
One here at WPH HQ can only be flattered! 'Californian Freestyler' is the more peak time burner of the two, but 'BMX Bandito' will not disappoint the more discerning punters out there either.

On remix duty we find the main artist from our friends at Uncanny Valley in Dresden, Jacob Korn. Any work by Jacob is always a treat and this here is no exception. Flexing our digging talents we have also licensed a Luv Jam remix from the good people at Panta Rhei that was only released on limited 7'. We feel it deserved to be on a 12', so there.

Jacking Chicago tracks on this first EP by Offenbach's freshmen 'AM UNIT' containing three original tracks plus a solid remix by Lauer (one half of Tuff City Kids). A-sided 'Gotta Slow Down' and 'Hold Back' are classic examples of dancefloor fillers while B-sided 'Raw Jam' is a hard and super effective acid track that leaves no-one indifferent. The Dub mix of 'Gotta Slow Down' by Lauer is an oscillating interpretation of the original track with an efficient piano line! Limited to 400 hand stamped and numbered copies!

We're launching a bit of a one-off series here at Kolour LTD called "10's". They'll be a series of two-track, 10" releases that we'll sprinkle in from time-to-time along the way. Our first offering comes courtesy of our boy Chezz. We'll let the music do the rest!

GLENVIEW's first release from Chicago's GLENN UNDERGROUND is a 3 track deep house stunner. "SMOKE" is a lush, melodic instrumental track that is both uplifting and hypnotizing. "SMOKE BONUS BEATS" is a stripped down rhythm track and "THE SOFT DRINK" is a smooth, feel good house groover. Get this!

Elemental house grooves from Midwestern upstart Appian with a remix by Chicago's Bell Boys. Warm, sensual, and gloriously straightforward, Stripped & Chewed 012 is a modern study in the timelessness of house music. Recommended!!

We are truly honoured to welcome back to the Landed imprint one of the originators and true players of the Detroit House music scene, Norm Talley. Over the last year, Norm has been working hard on a remix project of his 2012 Landed hit, Travlin - resulting in two stunning Dub/Techno/House classics, The ReWorks. A very special, black and yellow, limited edition 10" vinyl cut of The ReWorks is being released to coincide with Record Store Day 2014 on April 19th. Starting off in true Talley style, Norm treats us to his trademark 909 drum vibes complete with a strong jazzy stab which will cut through the dance floors like a hot knife through butter. The tougher ReWork of Travlin, Part 1 engages you
instantly, captivating the soul. A perfect ReWork of the original classic! Part 2 takes us on a strong, Travlin dub trip. Raw tight drums with a Deep grooving baseline work seamlessly with the warm 909 percussion and haunting Travlin string to make this dub version the perfect track to warm up any party. Another super
ReWork of the original classic! This stand-out 10" wax is a true Norm Talley collector's item and is certainly a record not to be missed.

The mysterious Hyenah is back with a vengeance, once again delivering a vicious assault on unsuspecting bystanders with snapping jaws and a deadly snarl. Ok, enough of that.... Tale From The Dirt is the follow up to this years Hyenah debut The Wish (Dub) which brilliantly combined a raw, edgy, electronic sound with the depth and groove of South African deep house.
This meant The Wish went onto become a firm favorite of veryone from Dixon and Mano Le Tough through to Atjazz and Black Coffee and being rinsed hard from Southport (Weekender) to Soweto.Continuing to push their sound forward Hyenah come correct once again with more Afrocentric goodness, bringing with them Aquarius Heaven for vocal duties. Tale From The Dirt builds on a stripped back, deep groove teasing things out slowly with every little percussion hit and synth stab having it's own space and incredible clarity. Aquarius Heaven brings just the
right vibe with his tripped-out vocals adding to the hazy vibe of the track.Flipping over we have a brilliant remix from Keinemusik's rising star Rampa and a match made in heaven for the job in task it should be said. Here he keeps the bare bones of the original but confidently draws things out further still, building on the intense pulsing synth line and creating energy from seemingly very little. Wait till you hear this through a big system on a packed dancefloor. Finally we have The Chase, a track which could quite easily be the lead track of the EP with it's brutal stabs and rolling beats bringing a tough, techy edge. Once again, Hyenah tease out the arrangement with builds and drops bringing maximum drama but without a white noise riser in sight!
