Driving forward from the announcement of their forthcoming 'PolyRhythmic' LP on Sasha's Last Night On Earth imprint, Kate Simko and Tevo Howard are known for creating out of the box and genre-bending productions. Now, the native Chicagoans proudly announce their 'Theme Track EP,' giving music lovers a taste of things to come from the album.

Both Kate and Tevo grew up on house music and their collaboration stays true to their roots whilst bringing a contemporary twist. Their signature classic sound shines brightly through each production. The opening track 'PolyRhythmic Theme' does exactly that. A groove-ridden bass line, coupled with a driving electro synth, mingles with recordings of people on the street near Tevo's studio in Chicago.

Tevo's classic Roland programming and Kate's melodic synth melodies are ever present throughout the EP, highlighted perfectly in 'No Regrets'. Featuring vocalist Baz from Pirupa, the track's keep-it-real lyrics and hypnotic harmonies bring a new dimension to the PolyRhythmic project. Inspired by the iconic Chicago imprint Prescription Records, 'No Regrets' is a standout track from the forthcoming album.

Closing the EP in the spirit of PolyRhythmic, renowned New York producer Fred P (aka Black Jazz Consortium) delivers a masterful remix of 'PolyRhythmic Theme'. Fred, a former roommate of Tevo's in Berlin, has established himself as one of the most respected players in house music. Taking his time on this remix, he's delivered an artful dance floor jam already earning incredibly enthusiastic DJ feedback. An eight-minute journey, the rework of 'PolyRhythmic Theme' takes the listener from sparse 808 grooves to powerful high rising synth peaks fluttering throughout the track.

Kate and Tevo form a natural alliance, which captures their versatility as artists. Combining their mutual passions for music and homage to their Chicago roots, 'Theme Track' once again reiterates that the duo are strongly at the forefront of a fresh wave of innovative and dynamic producers. This release marks another chapter in the eclectic collaboration of Kate Simko and Tevo Howard, moving us closer to their eagerly anticipated album out this September on Last Night On Earth.

A true unsung hero of the underground house community, Matthew Styles is an effortless producer and faultless DJ, making him the perfect regular at the likes of Panorama bar in Berlin, and putting his skills as an engineer in demand for many luminaries.
A decade ago he was at the helm of Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels as its first label manager, steering it through some of its most successful releases, and he has since made his footprint as a producer in his own right. On his debut EP on Crosstown the tracks move from the solid, big room sound of 'Clandestine Emotions', into the layered beats and bleeps of 'Wrong Move', through to the classic break-beat of 'Avon' and gentle elegant bass-lines of 'Sleepless', Styles proves he can master any style and keep his authentic sound embedded within it. Firmly schooled in the history of dance music as a DJ, Styles's father was a disc jockey and long time member of DJ culture pioneers DMC, instilling in him the age-old tradition of moving a crowd with music. From a recording career on esteemed imprints such as Running Back, Ostgut, Classic and Rekids, and regular appearances at clubs such as fabric, Munich's Bob Beaman, Concrete in Paris and the aforementioned Panorama Bar, Matthew's priority has been intrinsically placed with servicing the needs of a dance floor.

Man Power left his Northern home and ran south of the border. This is his first offering for the ESP Institute. On side A, he proves that he truly is The Tourist, delivering what we're already toting as our Summer anthem—a relentless hurricane drum pattern full of toms, timbales and splashes that lays the rhythmic foundation for his Pacific chords and euphoric melodies-an undeniable floor-filler that invites all to dance unencumbered by the constraints of 'functional' club music. With side B's Oye, Man Power rolls out a similarly vibrant combination of drums and rhythm, however he toughens up the aesthetic with a massive rolling acid bassline, only briefly letting up for a spot of layered marimbas and spriteful pads before culminating in an emotional finale. After spending a couple years churning out tracks for various labels around the world, Man Power has undoubtably shifted his narrative point-of-view and updated his sense of craft upon his induction to the ESP Institute. These two songs will throw a wrench in your holiday.

After more then a year, Italian label Kosmophono is back with their second chapter on vinyl. The tasty release features a selection of great artists and seductive sounds and gives you a taster of the many other great projects lined up on this label for this year.
For the A-side, Fuse London resident Antony Difrancesco joins forces with Dutch born Ferro and opens up with the aggressive and hypnotic "Des", with its tough drums and mesmerising pads. Next up is ''tINI and the Gang" regular, Crocodile Soup, who brings his deeper side into action on ''These Shoes Are Made For Walking'', a track that is elastic and seductive and expertly arranged. David Gtronic's signature drums and trippy pads then mark a stunning opening to the B-side on 'Down the Burrow' and last but not least, He Did closes the vinyl with "Algunas Palabras', a track with a mixture of minimalistic and natural sounds that make for compelling listening and perfectly showcase the He Did sound. This is a classy EP from a label that the world needs to get behind as they continue to grow.

The A side will get the party started. 'We Got It (Goin' On)' reels you in with the synthesized boogie and sci-fi sound effects the Melbourne sound is known for. The track steadily climaxes to a high-energy war of sounds, making you want to get on
down by laying the track down with a double kick. Now, get ready for the flip side! We kept the artwork black, because this release just feels dirty. Just listen to how grimy the bass gets and let Shawty tell you why. The final and title track is layered with repeating chords over a groovy baseline. M5K really breaks it down with 'Healin Feelin'.
Sounds like Mike Dunn from Melbourne, if you like the edge of MD X-press you shouldn't miss this!

This time around it's a triple dose of the sort of forward-moving and ready-to-go good times accompaniment. First up is Ben Houghton from Melbourne, Australia with "Do You
Know"; a house cut with emotional deep vibes and more than enough of the straightforward percussion and bump required to keep things immediate. Following it up is natural late nighter "Happiness", another housey number but with a smokey mood that just seems to dub itself out as the track keeps moving. At the tail end of the release you'll encounter Casazza & Kozber - an Italian-Polish producer team that will have you slinking around with the certified lazer-lounge mover "Twilight" - all squelches and shimmers, it's a journey from the sunken dancefloor to the mirrored bar and back again.

Dripping out of the pores of Tokyo high-rises, Aquarium / Deepspace serves up his debut vinyl release and the second instalment on Natural Sciences.

Drawing on a palette of 90's Detroit house music and the electronic tropes of his home town of Japan, 'Midnight at the Tokyo Central' is the unspoken soundtrack for the lost souls of the metropolis, recounting the ecstasy of smoke-filled dance-floors, the touch of dry ice melting through a fur coat, and travelling through neon at 6am.

Narrated by two separate protagonists under one identity, the Deepspace side explores muscular acid trax, aquatic pads and throbbing deep house jams for the floor, while Aquarium on the flip is coated in hazy electronics and dopamine drained murk, drawing on field recordings taken at Tokyo's central train station (Rainy Night in Shibuya) through to lush subterranean jams laced in serotonin nostalgia.

Jerome Hill returns to Super Rhythm Trax with four tracks displaying one of his biggest influences; That of mid nineties Chicago labels like Relief and Dance Mania.

"It's Time For The" has been slaying crowds for the last year with its own no nonsense take on Cajmere's much sampled 'Perculator' track. Having evolved from engaing underground prospect into a fully established international DJ and producer in recent years, the time has now come for Huxley, born Michael Dodman, to release his debut album. Entitled Blurred, it will land on Will Saul's Aus / !K7.
Since debuting as Huxley five years ago, Dodman has continued to evolve and mature his sound in ways most cannot. Initially precipitating something of a garage house revival with his early EPs, ensuing releases on key labels like 2020 Vision, Hypercolour and Tsuba have seen him roam into percussive and deep house territories, but always with a fresh modern twist that has seen him find favour with a diverse array of press and peers from Pitchfork to Mixmag, Pete Tong to The Black Dog. One lead single from the album has already been premiered:
'Callin' is a collaboration between Huxley and house veteran Roger Sanchez in his revered S-Man guise and with its deeply infectious drum loops, earwormy vocal hooks and slick production is indicative of the album overall. Elsewhere the LP excels with original vocal performances from Yasmin (who has seen chart success working with Gorgon City), FEMME aka Laura Bettinson (a vocalist in Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich's
band, Ultraísta), Thomas Gandey and emering UK talent Obenewa.
Starting with the deeply emotive melodies and snug sub bass of 'I Want You', the album coherently unravels through fractured garage beats and classic LFO wobble, anthemic and idyllic pop leaning vocal cuts, screw face bass tracks and tough techno stompers. Tying it all together is a polished sheen, a deeply rooted musicality and Huxley's trademark sense of irresistible groove.
Certainly marking yet another step up in the musical evolution of Huxley, Blurred more than captures the contemporary dance zeitgeist: it truly defines it and will do so for plenty of time to come.

Following nearly a year of relentless touring, the Desolat co-founder is ready to drop an exciting new collection of tracks that ooze his musical heritage and customary meticulous style. Collectively they provide a timely reminder why he is one of the most in-demand artists on the planet. Possessing an abundance of touring experience means Dice is more than aware of what will make a party click. This coupled with a carefully bred studio-nous has resulted, expectantly, in a release brimming with dance-floor bombs. The EP kicks off with 'Auxotox' which offers a chugging rhythm; bouncy bass-line alongside a maniacal sample that is gives a haunting early-hours feel. A staccato pulsating synth burst then elevates the track up through the energy levels. This tune has peak-time stamped all over it and will no doubt find its way into the record boxers of many an artist looking for that tool to send the party in the stratosphere. 'Detox' starts where 'Auxotox' leaves off. An aggressive in-your-face bass drum providing the foundation for a sharp vocal sample that continues to galvanise throughout the track. The layers to the track build effortlessly before a bongo inspired loop serves to pick up the pace before a jumpy percussion adds an extra dimension. Not much respite in this track barring the well placed breakdown that harks back to Dice's Hip-Hop past. A great addition that is the genesis of fantastic brass section that is sure to raise the roof. 'Neurotox' is unquestionably the more techno affair. A warbling synth gets to work immediately, and is underpinned by a punchy big room bass line. The tracks driving nature is balanced by delicate rising synths that are sure to please fans of more musical techno. The EP ends with 'Retox' which possesses a dark and steady groove.

French veteran DJ W!ld delivers the third release on UK imprint Vessel Records, which features two originals plus remixes from Argentinean producer Franco Cinelli and label founder James Barnsley. Plus Loin is a thudding piece of robust house featuring heady toms, suspenseful drum rolls and spectral keys whilst What's Up Men is a more rhythmic cut containing a subtle bassline and echoing synths. On the flip, Leeds producer James Barnsley's version of What's Up Men alters the original into a peaktime-focused number with crunchy snares, until Franco Cinelli concludes the package with an animated rendition of Plus Loin.

Heist #5 brings you the trademark Frits Wentink sound we've come to love through his recent output on Wolf, 2020Vision and Wolfskuil: Catchy synth loops, distorted basses, and some funky-ass grooves. With 'Shrewd", he throws in a few sexy female vocal snippets and a lovely arp, while 'Ligament' flows along on a rough kick, an equally gritty vocal and a driving portamented pad that filters in and out. 'Sauce' features Dutch singer Loes Jongerling and makes for a wonderful combination with her silky soft voice and Frits' warehouse style percussion.' If I was to gravy you' follows up on with the same rawness in the beats and a lovely sample that you'd love the girl next to you to whisper in your ear time after time: 'I like it like that baby"....
