Born in Brighton, bred in London and now moving between Berlin and Ibiza, BEC has an omnivorous approach to electronic music that shows up in her productions; Techno with a twist. Her seventh outing on home label Second State continues in this vein as she balances hypnotic, driving elements with atypical flourishes.
“Lost In Change”, which gives the EP its name, layers a pounding kick with a bloodless, repeated vocal before a juddering synth launches the track into another gear. “Flux” pairs a springy bass line with siren FX to pleasantly weird effect, followed by the more intense “State Of Flow”, a euphoric collision of ravey synths and gurgling acid lines. “Holocene”, meanwhile, hinges on an impatient groove textured with whipping 808s. It conjures the delicious abandon of parking your worries at the door as you give in to the primal pleasures of the dance floor.
BEC has been an international touring DJ for the past five years, playing everywhere from Berlin’s Watergate to Australia’s Rainbow Serpent Festival and from London’s Egg to Nevada’s Burning Man Festival. Lost In Change is sure to advance the ascent of one of Techno’s most promising young stars.

The London resident Ross Evana already excelled as DJ at Pacha NYC, at Ministry of Sound London or in the We Love Space series in Ibiza, and has been ranked # 12 in the Beatport House charts with 'Ouija Board". His track 'Thrilla in Manila' first takes its time to build up before it sets a tremendously powerful exclamation mark on the dancefloor with its tropical-hypnotic percussions. With its second track, the ninth edition of Cocoon's 10-series leads us to the land of the midnight sun. The two Stockholm-born cousins Alex Caytas and Aleks Patz have started their musical collaboration only in 2007 but can already look back on a hand full of very good produced releases for the Stuttgart-based label Parquet Recordings and the Italian label Caremella, as well as on remixes for Martin Dawson/King Roc and Voltique. 'Blue Sea' shows the duo's affinity to the energetic Deep House Techno of the Nineties: with its organ sound, blues vocals and a highly infectous bass line, this track could almost pass as a modern and uncluttered version of St. Germain, being predestined for warm summer nights. Finally, the brain-warming, hypnagogic, tempo-changing rhythms of 'Planos de Ausencia Casualidad' could be the EP highlight and recalls the work of Lone and Actress.
You could listen to these tracks and be mistaken for thinking this is an artist who has maybe been lost in the throws of extended Villalobos DJ set or the deep pads of old Sun Electric records, but as an artist who is an outsider to the European dance scene, his inspiration comes from closer to home, as Boundary explains:
"For this EP I was interested to see if i could hit close to the feelings i have when I listen to certain video game music, how I could convey the amazing and deep storytelling in these songs. I really wanted them to feel like a ride/adventure. 'Opticamente Avanzando' ('Optically Advancing' in English) for me is like a venture into a machine that analyses a bunch of electronic music genres and it outputs as many different variations of these genres it can, each with their own little quirk/details, creating something unique in the process."
With previous releases on LA based label, Point Records, and Paris' Third Try label (Axel Boman, SFV Acid) Boundary's emergence represents a promising prospect for the electronic music world and 'Interlazados' another essential release on Secretsundaze."

Its been a while since we released a V/A on Noir Music and I only ever compile them whenever I feel I have 5-6 tracks that stand out. Dark Stars Volume 4 has been 6 months in the making and yes..... I know I am picky with the music I sign. I hear that on an almost daily basis.
But even though I could pick music from many different artists it still took me months of compiling, testing the music in clubs and at festivals

Bep Kororoti & Akin debut on Modern Obscure Music with four Afro influenced tracks. Bep Kororoti released a self-titled mini album on Hivern Discs’ more experimental HVNX sub-label in 2016, but he is better known for making music as Kresy. Here, Kororoti is joined by Akin, who provides vocals and saxophone on this EP. Epomuyeñ is dancefloor cut with striking percussion and strong vocals, whilst Eruobodo is a sax dominated track. Ijotiya channels the spirit of Fela and Afrobeat over a spinning bassline, whilst Love is the only way has a deep spiritual vibe and a powerful vocal.

In January 1985 The Beloved emerged via a John Peel session (Produced by a very young Mark Radcliffe). They had a second session broadcast in October and didn't release their first single, A Hundred Words, until early 1986.
On the independent Flim Flam label they released a further 3 singles/eps , later compiled as an album, Where It Is.
By autumn 1987 they had slimmed down from 4-piece to the original founding duo of Jon Marsh & Steve Waddington.
Jon went to NY to pursue some label interest, meet some heroes - Mantronik, Latin Rascals.
& came back with a record box full of early house cuts. Within weeks he was tipped off by a friend about a semi-secret party in a gymnasium in Bermondsey. He went searching and found Shoom.
Having already shared the record box with Steve he took him to the club within a few weeks, knowing full well he would be equally enthused/entranced!
Having just been signed to WEA , notionally as a poster-fodder pop group, the band experienced a seismic shift in direction. Their first attempt , Acid Love, was on promo 12' within months. Their second house track was Your Love Takes Me Higher, first released in early 1989 with great club support but zero radio play.
The third was Sun Rising, late summer that year which became their first hit single.
The album, Happiness, a distillation of the fun & optimism & energy of the 88/89 (acid) house scene was released in 1990 to great acclaim and YLTMH even got a second release and just scraped into the top 40 at #39!
A remix album, Blissed Out, was released In autumn 1990, with a new recording It's Alright Now as a single.
Awoke is the most complete track from their last collaborative sessions.
Jon continued recording as The Beloved with his wife Helena as co-writer/co-producer.
Their first release in early 1993 was the single Sweet Harmony which was a major hit record worldwide.
Both single and the accompanying album Conscience were their biggest selling releases.
A further album X, with the single Satellite arrived in 1996.
A re-released Sun Rising and a best-of, Single File in 1997.
Then silence.
Remixes as The Beloved, several releases under different names (on Junior Boys Own, & NRK), and a full time dj career until 2005/6.

Direct and simple: Christian S embarks to Permanent Vacation and brings five house-not-house tunes.
The bitter gloomy title track “Tannin” vibrates with a dry bassline over which an acid-flavored synth-line
arguments with higher hi-hat spirits. Matias Aguayo added his very special ability for creating haunting
chords and drums to the tune “Dancer” and transformed it together with Christian S into a nervous

“Dancer”. His edit concentrates more detailed on the witchy chord construction. With Columbian
producer Sano Christian S puts his love for percussive spheres on the table and created a tune that is
