Duccio Lopresto is a classic car lover and modernist in the classical sense from northern Italy. His debut on Greta Cottage Workshop was a blueprint for what House Music can be 35 years after it emerged: Funky without copying the 70s, deep without being boring, uplifting without being cheesy.

His second artist EP is now going to be released on Berlin's „Smile for a while“, coming with heavy synths, bouncing basslines, syncopated drums and hypnotizing rhythm patterns. Clearly an approach from a motor city - not Detroit though but Milan.

"Haus" on the other hand shows a different side of the two. An
oppressive bass is the focus here, pushing the Micro House track forward.

Catalognumber 23 - what else is to say While we're feeling the spirit of William S. Burroughs blessing this very vinyl-enigma, &ME went particularly mysterious ways to transcend the category 'dance track' for this one.
The meditation through bass had been the major discipline of some of his latest cuts, but what you'll find on this A-side, one could certainly call the perfection of somnambulistic peaktime-fever. The way he's kneading the lower frequencies, how he's channeling the expansion and decay of bass must inevitably lead to some aroused moaning. Good vocal-selection, for that matter! Then there are those tension building synths and a staccato-frenzy in the break that might be the ultimate ecstasy-trigger of the season.
'Locust' on B comes in with some smoothly looped E-guitar-coolness, adding whispering hi-hats and a comparatively rich percussive architecture. But then again: rolling bass barrels like a signature and a defence breaking build up that's ensued by liberating pressure compensation in mighty breaks. Two demonstrations of understated and sophisticated peaktime-emphasis, so to say. Or differently put: a flawless double-A-side.

Adriatique is proud to announce the very first Release of SIAMESE. The title Track is an almost 11 minute Trip, which tries to put the dance floor into a hypnotic state. The Layers and Synth lines create a very own vibe while the driven bass line pushes the Track forward. Although - Patterns of Eternity' never is to obvious it still manages to create a peak-time atmosphere if you let it breathe. - Womb' the B-Side is the Track most people know already, as it made is cycle around the Clubs and Festivals by now. While the A-Side wins thru it's complexity - Womb' focuses on keeping it simple. It is uncompromising Bass and Beat elements wants to make you change the - W' into a - B'.
The third and final Track is called - Quadrivia'. It reminds a little bit of the mid 2000's. Not that minimalistic but definitely inspired as that period was a big influence to Adrian + Adrian. Quadrivia starts with no sign of hurry to introduce a wobbly melody before breaking down again and comes back with full effect.

Marvin & Guy return in full glory to Permanent Vacation after their 2017 Fire! Fire! EP. This time Marvin & Guy, or Alessandro & Marcello, if you like, explore all of those influences throughout their musical career. On the title track “Hint of ‘92″ they clearly pay tribute to that Techno/Trance from early 90s we all fell in love with at least one time. But they are not all about the pure retroness, instead M&G approach the matter with a contemporary point of view and their distinctive production knowledge. The track also features fellow Italian Marika from Underspreche on vocals, who also contributed a Discoid remix to the original. “Discoteque” may remind you of the early Marvin & Guy sound: rough, chunky, rocky and full of disco-ish energy. While “Colours” is a calmer, yet mental trip, with delays that the Idjut Boys would be proud of.

Mind Against take the next step in their artistic development. Discovering the techno side of things is a fresh breeze for their oeuvre and perfectly fits into the label's policy...

He has been proven over the course of his previous EPs on Riotvan that his approach to electronic music is one of a kind and never lacks a certain tongue in cheek attitude. 17 Steps present ‘New Atlantis’, a 5 track EP from versatile DJ, producer and dance music historian Chrissy.

The EP takes its name from an unexpected source – a 17th century utopian novel of the same name by Sir Francis Bacon, depicting a future society in which science has become the ruling principle. It’s an inspiring idea for Chrissy – an antidote to the assault on truth and intellectualism led by climate change deniers, anti-vaxxers, flat earthers, creationists, unfit-for-office demagogues and the slow suffocation of fact-based journalism.

‘New Atlantis’ explores the utopian worldview implicit in early rave music, drawing on classic Chicago house, UK hardcore and Drexciyan electro. The result is a collection of jacking breaks and bass infused dance music washed with a bittersweet euphoria – celebrating and lamenting an era’s forgotten optimism.

Sometimes along the road you get the chance to cross paths with great people, artists whose music you used to adore and play in the first steps of the journey. We are very grateful that this happened to us recently with Johnny D who offered a wicked remix for "White Box" at the beginning of this year.

New year, new concept: Maceo Plex locks down 2018 with a Fabriclive mix and his new 'Mutant' series that sets out to explore the more mutated side of his signature cosmic techno further than ever before.

Similar to his 'Conjure' series in 2015, the new releases will reside across labels run by peers Maceo respects and is inspired by, with some also featuring on his much loved Ellum imprint. Correspondant are proud to release the debut EP, Mutant 1.

Three tracks deep, each version tells the same story from a different perspective; 'Mutant Disco' tells it from the bassline's point of view as a latent funk thumps with wry mischief, 'Mutant DX' shows things from melodic side with its rolling bulbous bass lead while 'Mutant Moog' closes the EP by surging us even deeper into the stars with a crisp sinewy arpeggio that sucks us in and - like all card carrying mutants - refuses to let us go.... Time to mutate.

An old friend returns to Pets. Three years after his ‘Polyphonic’ EP, Catz ‘n Dogz bring the legend that is Mathias Kaden back on the label and the results speak for themselves…
Following his recent barnstormers on Avotre and Rekids, both ‘Square’ and ‘Distant Horizon’ deliver in that unhurried, cosmic journey-like way Kaden has made his signature over the years: gentle layering, subtle moment, palpable atmospheres but the drive and underbelly of a bulldozer.
‘Square’ kicks off the show with an eight-minute adventure into deep, warm undulating acid. Heavy subs, fluid drums and a persistent spoken vocal texture, this one wraps you up like a cloak. ‘Distant Horizon’, meanwhile, whips that cloak off so quickly it will send you spinning deeper and deeper into the celestial rabbit hole. A 10-minute Mathias epic, it warms up with a progressive rolling feel for a good few minutes before we’re suddenly derailed into a trippy, hazy brew of weird bass bubbles and some rather outlandish spoken word. Poetry in high grade technoid motion.
And the motion doesn’t stop there… Ever ones to get involved, Catz ‘n Dogz get their paws on ‘Distant Horizon’ and give it their own gritty, grainy, trippy twist. Two parts tribal, one part bass, all parts peak time, this doesn’t just stare out at the horizon but flies you right over it.

Official Reissue of the 1991 U.M.M. Underground Music Movement classic ! Produced by Emanuele Luzzi , "Onirico" is one of the records never repressed and sought after, Big Re-release!!!

Renate Schallplatten's eighth release comes from Michal Zietara with Olympia Europa. The four-track EP, the Polish-born, Bavaria-raised, Berlin-based Renate resident's solo debut features three originals plus a remix from Ian Pooley.

Opener "Mr. Joy" is a late-night uptempo jam with a punchy bassline and warm pads. Chopped vocal samples come to the fore around the breakdown, raising the tension for maximum euphoria upon the beats' return. Ian Pooley's flowing remix on the A2 is in the signature '90s filter house style. The vocals lead the way, adding some warmth to a rather stripped-back affair. It's another peak-time cut that makes you want to close your eyes and move to the music. The punchy beats and upbeat melodies return on "Euro Robot," this time paired with intricate drums, fluttering vocals, and high-pitched keys. Closer "Pink Seal" is more downtempo and pensive, centered around coherent vocals and smooth pads. The beats feature less prominently, even fading away after a brief midsection. It's a cerebral track; a moment of self-reflection in an otherwise upbeat, high-energy EP.

The EP is Renate Schallplatten's second of 2019, following Longhair's label debut. Earlier EPs have landed from Moscoman, Sebastian Voigt, Wareika, and more.

The second EP on the Uncage Swap Series is another belter, with boss man Marco Faraone serving up a pair of originals while Traumer and Djebali both serve up superb remixes. InDaClub is a pure piece of techno dynamite with a huge wall of rolling drums and icy hi hats making you move. A sleazy ghetto vocal that gets dropped over the top to make sure that hands go into the air.

This Record Goes Right has more huge, pinging kick drums that are brilliantly analogue and powerful, while choppy hits and vocal stab add more fuel to the fire. First to remix is Traumer, who takes things down a more silky late night road, with sci-fi pads and nice warm bass all getting you into a state of hypnosis.

Last of all, Djebali then gets down and dirty with his late night mix, rubbery kicks and trippy synths all making it a colourful groove. These are four high class, high impact tunes from this already vital label.

In our first Basswalk Limited series release, we have the big pleasure to present you a fantastic vinyl from Sander Ellerman called Quartz EP, which includes two stunning remixes by Hansel! and Re Us & Rhythm Box. The first track Quartz is a superb minimalistic groove with a powerful low-end construction that builds an amazing vibe for a club night, enlighten by some subtle vocal phrases that helps getting into a true hypnotic vibe. The second track from A side is the Quartz remix from Re Us & Rhythm Box, which is a fantastic reconstruction with a classic house inclined groove, especially build up from the bass line, with a perfect combination of several percussive layers that articulates organically with the ambience elements in the backend. The B side stars with the second original by Sander, Laleii, which has a solid straight forward base with the inclusion of some ambience elements that constructs a fantastic hypnotic deep techno groove. The second track of this side includes Hansel! Remix of Laleii who gave this track a nice twist with the inclusion of some melodic elements like the bass line and the synth stabs in a beautiful blend of deep house elements and minimal sounds.

Shaw Cuts enters the site of crime with its first release called 'Have Sword, Will Travel'.The EP includes 4 techno assassins - two tracks by the label founder himself LaChriz, who introduces his shaolin moniker 'Farron' and 2 remixes by the argentinian boxer Jonas Kopp. 'Equinox' opens the slaughter with shaking break-beat punches in combination with atmospheric pads surrounding the drum jabs. Ti Lung would have been pleased.
The track 'Apo-G' comes in sly and chases the enemy with dirty drums and menacing distorted sound spheres that will morph the bad guys into dead guys - throwing star style.The B-side gets taken over all the way by Jonas Kopp, who brings up two different remixes of 'Equinox' that can easily cut off the rival's extremities like a sharp guillotine. And the carnage just begun...

It's almost impossible to don't have a look at all the rising talents that surround us - and the guys of Jamahr are surely one of them. North Italy based, Mario and Jacopo joined forces back in 2008 and since then they've constantly put a lot of passion and dedication into their music, working under the alias of Jamahr. Noticed by Yaya a while ago, they've also attract the attention of the European scene with releases on Rich NxT's own 'NxT Records', Sleepless Musik and Kina Music to name a few. We're super happy to see that 'Chordelia' EP is finally set for an official release, which also features a remix by Diego Krause.

'Chordelia' it's an opening track that starts with a dry lowend part until swing drums jump in. The entire track insists on a fresh and racy synth line that perfectly fits with the groove.

Stepping up to tackle the original, with a club approach, Berlin's Diego Krause (Berg Audio, Salty Nuts) use some vocal loops and a some funky shot, enriching the groove and delivering a great version of 'Chordelia'.

On the B side, 'Brotherhood' is about the special synergy between these guys, exposing the contrast between the gentle pads against the electric scratchy synths. The groovy and rolling analog bassline finds an intense groove with whispered vocal shots drifting in and out of the mix.

Closing the affairs is 'Qaacker' where pulsating toms and hi hats encounter mystical long tailed pads and synths into a majestic and dreamy progression. The break is just magical and it's studded with glitched drums and percussions. Definitely the perfect track to complete an ashtonish EP.

by Alex Simori, an EP that features two deeply introspective tracks, ofwhich one is an amazingly delicate remix by Herck.

"Strop de Picur", the main track of the release is executed in the finest tradition of Romanian Minimal Tech, an electronic aesthetic we have been hearing from the biggest names of the style, such as Sepp, Nu Zau, Caly, and so forth, who, furthermore, have already shown their support to "Din Natura"

Few records have gained such a legendary status as Chiapet's Tick Tock. The 12" single, released in 1997, brings back memories for any house or techno DJ of the era.
Now it is making its return as a Yoshi Classic, with fresh remixes from Loco & Jam, Robosonic, and Perc.
Loco & Jam's mix is a nothing short of a powerhouse.
About as driving as techno gets and armed to the teeth with noise, it has become a staple in Sharam's recent sets.

He says of the mix, I can count on that one to go off every time. Robosonic opts for a more groovy approach to the record, using the original chords to create pumping rhythms ideal for peak filler and evening sets. It's not quite house, but not quite techno, the diverse duo once again shows they're comfortable working with a variety of sound palettes.

Finally there is Perc, whose remix is exactly what you would expect from the industrial techno figurehead. Dark and delightfully twisted, it will surely find a happy home in the corridors of Berghain.
Of course to round out the package, we've had the original Apocalypse Now mix remastered by Pole, and his delivery was exquisite. Huge yet dynamic, new life has been breathed into this classic mix. We hope you enjoy this Yoshi Classic remix package and will join us in celebrating the return of Tick Tock.
