Now with over 20 years of releases behind him, Oliver Huntemann finds himself on the cusp of yet a new era in his career. 'Propaganda' is the fifth proper artist album from the Hamburg-based DJ/producer, and like each of its predecessors, it shows a different side to one of the most consistently rewarding names in techno. Released on his own Senso Sounds label, the album exudes the level of assurance that perhaps only comes with being so active in curating and developing a label that has stood out from the masses since its inception in 2014. 'Propaganda' opens with 'Taktik', and the mood is quickly established through crisp motorik drum programming and deep, pulsing bass lines. 'Poltergeist' - the 2nd cut, continues this aesthetic - a deep and spacious groover. Clocking in at over 1 hour 15 minutes, the album allows a lot of space for itself, each tracking having the time it needs to develop and unfold. 'Egoist' ramps up the feel somewhat with intricate melodies and effects, before breaking down into something that will destroy many dance floors. Yet the beauty of the album format is that it allows for various mood changes, and 'Malaria' brings us something of a shift into a more freaked out and edgy vibe, while 'Anonym' highlights Huntemann's mastery of atmosphere, serving as an ambient / downbeat interlude. 'Rotlicht' is perhaps a standout for fans of Huntemann's epic DJ sets, exhibiting all the control and release dynamic that make him such an engaging performer. For our 46th vinyl strike we welcome back Smokin Jo, one of the most talented DJ/ producer to emerge from the British dance music scene.

SMOKIN JO's undeniable cutting edge sound has carved her a niche in clubland, enabling her to spin around the globe, playing at many of the major clubs. After the line up of releases as "Umona", "Native Dance" and "Heads Down" on Area Remote, Jo now teamed up with SERGIO FALOMIR, Spanish DJ/ producer based in London, who has been playing in several clubs in Ibiza over the past few years. He has an immense passion for Latin inspired and tribal infused music, which he clearly expresses through his productions.

'I See Sunrise" EP comprises 3 blazing versions with vocals by BRYAN CHAMBERS who has been storming the pop and club charts for the best part of a decade making smash hits with well respected artists. Let's bring light to the summer season of 2014!

Robotron is the machine formerly known as Xinner. This is its first offering for the ESP Institute. Side A's Dream Resonator is an idiosyncratic network — dexterous machine drum/percussion programming, an ebb and flow of floating arpeggios, syncopated counter-melodies and a hail of stabbing stringscontinually diffusing into ethereal vapor — all stacked into an (aptly-named) orchestral anthem. Side B's Ice takes a similar approach with arrangement, each instrument carving out its place in the track's mechanics for a glorious convergence of patterns, but, where side A proves optimistic, here we sense a more menacing undercurrent, an austerity powerfully articulated through towering kicks and claps so compressed they fill up every dark corner of negative space. Indeed, Robotron has an innate command for building and calibrating robust systems, but beneath this calculated veil we find the remnant human behavior of Xinner. These two songs will whisper loudly but scream quietly.

Subtropical Breezy Charming Casanovas

Moscow head-honcho Archie Hamilton teams up with cousin Benson Herbert for another collaborative EP on the imprint, bosteled via a club ready reshape from S.A.M. Having already garnered support from some of the biggest names in minimal house, including Raresh and Barac, for previous productions, the 'Swerve' EP is Benson's second, family-affair release on Moscow. A promising up and coming talent, Benson's already played some of Europe's most prestigious dancefloors including Sub Club, Fabric and Paris' Rex Club.

As Moscow enters its tenth year of releasing the most forward thinking and respected names in house and techno, label boss Archie Hamilton continues to release across Europe's most highly revered labels, whilst playing the world's most exciting clubs and festivals including Robert Johnson, Miami Music Week's Get Lost Chicago's Spy Bar, Croatia's Sonus and Estonia's Moonland to name a few.

'Swerve' sets a powerful pace with a rumbling bassline, offset against gorgeously melodic and minimal textures; it's a roller that will undoubtedly be thriving across dancefloors this summer. Informer, is a complex myriad of winding and hypnotic micro-melodies, which serves as a unique and effervescent follow up to the EP's first track. Denmark's hotly-tipped DJ/producer S.A.M is on remix duties for 'Informer', delivering a jacking slice of dub infused four-four that deftly utilises the haunting riff of the original.

Bedrock is set to celebrate its milestone 100th digital single release in superb style with 'Tracer', the second single from Emerson, Digweed & Muir - a collaborative project of the highest order from three of the scene's most respected creative mavericks, whose huge debut 'Fanfare' (Beddigi88) had fans everywhere begging for more. Enlisting Berlin's inspirational Watergate resident Ruede Hagelstein on remix duty completes the perfect package to mark yet another Bedrock landmark.

Between them, John Digweed and Nick Muir, producers of the finest electronic dance music, have been involved in many pivotal moments in the world of club music over the years and have in many ways helped to define genres & push the boundaries further. Their partnership has been one of electronic music's most fruitful pairings, creating a body of work that's seen them become one of the world's most highly regarded production duos. Joining forces with Detone boss Darren Emerson, who since his pioneering days with Underworld has remained at the forefront of the electronic scene across the last three decades for good reason, is a mission statement, showing that this illustrious trio are not resting on past laurels, but always developing themselves musically in exciting new directions.
Rather appropriately, in its original form 'Tracer' is an unmistakably heavyweight, pulsating, peak-time monster, loaded with menacing, fizzing, energetic, celebratory creative abandon. Meanwhile, Darren Emerson's 'Womb Mix' develops 'Tracer' into an equally stunning, bombastic, stripped back, techno colossus, showcasing his supremely individualistic creative flair. In perfect juxtaposition to the trio's versions, the dialled-back, low-slung, brooding throb of Ruede Hagelstein's mesmerizing interpretation, bristling with unrivalled electronic detail, perfectly rounds what is an exceptional creative circle.
In this day and age to not only survive as an independent label, but to flourish and constantly evolve, bringing forward and developing new and exciting talent to stand equally alongside established household names, is something that should be applauded. The global respect and love that Bedrock has steadily gained through years of releasing quality dance music that rides the waves of trends and fashions is second to none.2017 has already seen a steady flow of exceptional Bedrock releases and there is so much more to yet to come.

The next release from Sol Asylum was uniquely crafted between Julie Marghilano and illustrator Olga Olkaosadzinska. In this collaborative effort each artist found inspiration in each others work to create and finalize their vision of this release.

Conjuring beats from the MPC paired with modulated violin and synthesis, Julie added a modern twist to the music that originally inspired her to create electronic music. Expect the unexpected with the EP titled Mercury Jasmine and open up your imagination to what flowers would sound like on distant planets.

In addition to the single, the talented German is also celebrating his recent award nomination for 'Best House Act' by Ibiza's prestigious DJ Awards. Ranking as the #18 artist in Beatport's all-time Top 100 the accolades keep stacking up. With a colossal remix resume including; Gorillaz, Jamiroquai, Claptone, Faithless, New Order, Two Door Cinema Club, Shapeshifters and Sigma, it's time for Purple Disco Machine to take centre stage for a full length debut worth waiting for.

Track 1 , kicks off the e.p with a monkey infused acid rolla from The He-Men ,aptly named Rolla, really deep acid rolling track for you head nodders out there , then track 2 comes courtesy of new family member Bufo Bufo, who already boasts releases on ritual poison and EGD, his track is a real four/four breakbeat extravaganza, moves along lovely with breaks and bleeps, very excited about this track and a very please to have him in the TDO family. DJPC returns with track 3, his track called danger man, and believe this is dangerous, proper old school sounding warehouse rave with wicked pianos and baselines .good to have him back. Then flip over and boom side B, hits ya with Dawl track party till the A.M , great advice and a great track from Dawl, back to his proper full on rave breaks and bleeps to kick off side B the way only he can. Then track 2 we welcome another new member to the TDO family, although he has mastered several e.p's and digi trax for us , this is the first track Craig Bratley has ever made for us, over the moon to have this man on board - Craig has earned a solid reputation from a series of curiously erratic releases, releasing records across the spectrum of electronic music on labels such as Futureboogie, Suara, Throne Of Blood, Bird Scarer, Tsuba, Instruments Of Rapture, Claremont 56, Leng, To Rack And Ruin and Is It Balearic and as well as his own Magic Feet imprint. The recent discovery of a box of old DAT tapes in a house move has allowed Craig to revisit some of his earlier attempts at making music in the 90's. The re-sampling and editing one of these tracks has provided the basis for Craig's contribution to Tone Dropout Volume 6, 'Back From the DAT'. From the DAT really is a hats off tip to the rave generation, thank you craig proper got this right for our label. Then finally track 6 , is bonus track , Tones Breaks part 2, a full on pow in ya face rave banger, a little feature we will be doing now on e.p's a nod to the legendary bones breaks of course.

On the third release on his label, Malin Genie teams up with Amsterdam resident and Will & Ink regular Yaleesa Hall for a trip into dubbed out techno and house territory. The EP opens with "Oganesson," an immersive track pivoting around gnarled, shape-shifting dub techno chords. "84" is a more energised cut, using a similar central melodic thread but driving it with a sprightly beat and playful threads of synth expression. "Tournant" places the emphasis on textural sound design, embellishing a rugged techno rhythm with sonic matter that takes on an organic quality as it pulses and writhes around the beat. "Coronal Loop" finishes the EP off with an appropriately star-gazing jam that uses delay and reverb to great effect to create a sense of space in which nimble chord lines and other flourishes can cavort freely.

After a short break Salty Nuts is back with the first Various Artist Release on the label. Diego Krause delivers a classic house tune which shapes the vibe and mood of the whole record. Smabes is another special Mannheim collaboration. Sebastian Werle (Sedee) & Fabe teamed up for a funky bass break beat tune which keeps emotions high...
On the flip- side the new, fresh Duo Mishel A & Lost.Act from Moscow are adding maximum groove to the record with an advanced swinging beat that brings the right Energy to the dance floors.

10 Years Redshape Live is a special thank you to the labels I mainly worked with in the past ten years and also to all the people on world's dance floors, which gave me so many stellar moments. Starting on Running Back, the Best Of Live' series will contain tracks which were only part of my live set: previously unavailable and not even arranged as full tracks. As I always record my shows, I searched for the moment, in which each of those tracks had their biggest and also earliest impact. I took that recording and rebuild them part by part to make them proper DJ versions without loosing their live roots. Named after the cities where they were performed. Av Aviv and Rome.

This summer, My Favorite Robot Records release another of their excellent and immersive full lengths, this time from German production outfit, Rework.

The trio of Daniel Varga, Michael Kuebler and Sascha Hedgehog AKA Rework, describe their musical aesthetic as "cabaret-independent-house" and combine icy minimal structures with catchy euro-girl vocals, Anglo-French funk antics and a dash of dance floor melancholy. Playhouse, Meant and Items & Things have all released their work, which includes three albums before now. This latest is another musical adventure filled with surprises.

This is an effortlessly diverse album that brings a wide range of influences to the table and ties them all together with Rework's unique sense of style and cool.

Label boss Cali Lanauze is joined once again by Jonny Cruz to deliver the fifth release of Opulence's catalogue.

German Krink presents his newest release on Underyourskin after his great "The Wilderness EP" on URSL. For the remix work he asked Tamer Malki (Kindisch, Supernature) from Boston.

The 5th release of Dalmata Daniel is the first Budapest-based banger EP, which presents three original tracks from Norwell and one remix by Imre Kiss.Norwell was engrossed in kosmiche musik and house, while he found his own sound and made some albums on Reckno, Seagrave or Cleaning Tapes. After all he hasn't stopped yet, rather, he has started to discover the dark side of club music and converted his own sound into electro. The result of this new beginning was the 12-inch 'Death of a Star' on Pinkman in 2016.Now 'ODD EP' is the next level: much deeper into the darkness.'Arabian Nights', as the title suggests, is an electro-orientalist-exoticism, like an ancient dangerous night in the desert. However, from the second track, we are in the future: in cold dark space. 'Outer Delta Dynamics' is the launch rocket, followed by 'Celestial Bodies', which is a cruel and desperate fight in time and space.Imre Kiss has started with dreamy lo-fi sounds on Farbwechsel, then he improved his music in house and techno on the next two EPs on Lobster Theremin. But the banger remix 'Crisis '91' is a pretty new thing in his music. This cool jungle rework perfectly matches the whole atmosphere of 'DD005', even if the style is somehow different.The last curiosity of this EP is that all of the tracks were born in Szemlohegy, which was actually a coincidence (or maybe fate). Anyway, this place above the city might have had a common influence on the tracks: they have exactly the same vibe.

Akyra and Acanalar in action!

The first release for both the label and Elon in 2018, it shows promise of good times and tracks ahead.

The EP opens with 'Stoner' and its undulating synths. Before long, clapping snares and the kick join in. Almost without warning, the track drops into a head-down, out-on-the-floor groove that gets the dance moving down through your whole body. Scrambled vocal samples land on top with an ascending bassline below, taking the track into yet another new phase.

'Where Is My Shit' comes next, with a ticking drum machine and a deep rumbling bass getting things started. Crackling synth comes in on top as the track rises and falls, maintaining an almost motorik feel. The EP closes with 'Skipping Stones'. The track opens with rapid fire hi-hats and a probing, revolving bassline. Elusive keys join in on top, painting fragmented melodies across the musical landscape. The steady house beat pumps away constantly beneath it all.

Alan Fitzpatrick is one of the men of the moment speaking of all things techno! Since his first steps into the arena in 2008 he turned into one of the most wanted producers around. His releases on labels like 'Quartz", 'My Favorite Robot' and especially on 'Drumcode' brought him on par with the first line of international techno producers and DJs. So we are more than happy that the man who rocked 2013 xxl will be the featured artist of our next release on Cocoon Recordings. His tracks 'Memories Of A Time Once Past But Long Forgotten' and 'Truant' are two real techno highlights that follow the basic vibe of the his last releases. Deep emotional techno full of warm chords and analogue basslines merged with cool beats to get that special Fitzpatrick vibe. Music for dancefloors and living rooms at the same time, charismatic and dynamic! Alan Fitzpatrick is not just another name to be watched. He found his style and shows this in every track and in every of his DJ-sets that he played over the last months in Europe, North America, South America and Asia. He also started a new residency at London cult club 'Jaded' every sunday morning and we are sure you will soon hear his Cocoon release there, too!
