After his appearance on Born Free Records, Rollerboys Recordings, and Rett I Fletta, Johannes Wilkstrom aka Yourhighness contributes to Cocktail d'Amore Music with Stratofortress. The Berlin based imprint gathered techno guru Rrose, Born Free Records owner Samo DJ, and international Japanese wave representative Gonno, to offer an EP with a wide range of interpretations of the title track.
The original mix is an acid based, industrial influenced techno banger. Highly energetic, for sweaty late-night dance floors. On the same side Samo DJ transforms the techno blaster into a funky EBM ballad, characterized by a deep male voice and a breakbeat groove. Rrose is on remix duty on the B-side. Hailing from Tel Aviv, and cutting her chops on the Los Angeles underground, Mor Elian is a relatively new name on the block, but her deft tastes have seen her share the stage with the likes of Kerri Chandler, Mike Dunn, Seven Davis Jnr, DJ Qu and many more, and most recently, releasing her debut vinyl release on the excellent Prime Numbers label, featuring FXHE's OB Ignitt on remix duties. On 'Drum Vortex', Mor strikes a killer release for Hypercolour, enlisting two big remixes on the release from Joey Anderson and Markus Suckut. On her original mix, 'Drum Vortex' rolls out a ricocheting drum workout that indeed goes through the vortex; otherworldly voices and cosmic drones sit in the middle of the mix whilst the rides and hats intensify. Joey Anderson has proven himself as one of the most diverse house producers out there, with offerings for Dekmantel, Syncrophone Recordings and Tanstaafl Planets. Joey remodels 'Drum Vortex' into an old style warehouse dub; rolling congas and snares with incessant synth stabs and bending strings, making up for one serious remix from Mr. Anderson. Another interpretation is on offer from Markus Suckut, whose techno prowess has shone for labels like Rekids, Be As One, Mosaic and his own Exile label (run with Johannes Heil). Suckut's trademark dense beats are in play here, shuffling hats and micro bleeps weave through vocal elements and sturdy percussive work, bringing a touch of the Berghain style to this remix package. Closing the release is another original production from Mor; 'Basma' again focuses of the drum groove, with bright and springing claps bouncing off the hazy bottom ends and melodic touches. Pacey and energetic, Mor gets bang on the groove to carve out a club little B2 style track in time honoured traditition.

Sven Vath returns with two of his greatest classics. Just in time for the 20th anniversary of the cocoon idea the club-culture pioneer presents two milestones of his first two solo albums Accident In Paradise (1992) and The Harlequin, The Robot and The Ballet Dancer (1994). KiNK is in charge for remix #1 and we all know how much the Bulgarian fancys classic styled house and techno music which makes him the perfect person for the job. And what can we say KiNK s remix meets all expectations! His version turns the original into an epic acid monster that appears almost like a fusion of Joey Beltrams Energy Flash and Rolando's Knights of the Jaguar - the 2016 version of Accident In Paradise will take us on a journey through 20 years of techno and house-history. This is a big hit and it will bring madness to all the open air floors this season. Rune Reilly Kölsch aka KÖLSCH is probably one of the most hyped names in the current techno and house circus. Hailing from Christiania / Kopenhagen Kölsch released a bunch of highly rated club tracks lately and his remix for Sven Väth's Robot is no exception. Runes remix is not riding the retro-acid-train but turns out to be an epic club hit with an enormous festival potential, too. The Kölsch beats appear dry as a bone and sound highly energetic - they blend in perfectly with the strings- and and synth-section and create a monster full of drama and emotions. Although both remixes are way over 9 minutes they do not seem to be one second too long. We do not need to have clairvoyant abilities to predict that Sven Väth will have a deep impact on the upcoming party- and festival-summer with this release.

June Records presents a new compilation with live electronics, featuring music from Svengalisghost, Manie Sans De´lire, newcomer Bruce Roach, Trenton Chase, RR Hearse + Furnace Miskin and Zodiac Free Arts Club who will release his second LP soon on HVNX.

Autoreply begins its 10th year with a 12" from one of the scenes favourite ambassadors, Dana Ruh. Equally happy co-running Brouqade and her own Cave Recordings, dropping LP's for Underground Quality or stepping up to Ostgut Ton & Cocoon, hers is a story of emotive, reduced floor-theory. The "Round 2 Reel EP" delivers three such movements kicking-off with an undeviatingly playable A-Side displaying her prowess for swinging, stripped-back house complete with discreet sound design and compulsory bass. The B-Side concentrates on the deeper, dubbier aspect of her sound displaying unparalleled levels of warmth and texture. Written & produced at Polynomstudio, Berlin, recorded to tape for your listening pleasure!

This 20th EP finds heavyweights DVS1, Sterac and Ryan Elliot all remixing some released and unreleased originals by label owners Japser Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff. Their last solo EP on the label, Cosmic Language, marked the 10th release on the label, right here they celebrate the 20th release with a fine techno affair that summed up their now six year old outlet perfectly with some of their favourite producers aboard.

House heaven on 12-inch. A lofty description, but one that fits Most Excellent Unlimited's latest offering perfectly. In 1990, Boy George and Simon Rogers (The Fall) made a record called 'Generations Of Love' for George's post-Culture Club project, Jesus Loves You. Legendary NYC DJ and producer Bruce Forest was one of several big names brought in to do a set of remixes, and the Better Days veteran got to work on several contrasting versions of the cut. The mixes heard here, done at London's famed Olympic Studios, are slices of utter ecstasy for anyone who has a taste for '90s deep house euphoria and ambient dancefloor excursions, but were unfortunately lost amongst the countless alternate mixes.

Suffice to say, MEU is taking matters into our own hands and has remastered and properly packaged these tracks, directly sourced from Forest himself, with the full intention to give this erstwhile dollar-record the respect it deserves.

The Jazz Mix opens with a winding piano solo by Andy Whitmore (Spandau Ballet, Terence Trent D'Arby, Soul II Soul) that lures the listener into a hypnotic groove that could quite comfortably go on forever but here is constrained by our modesty and the 12-inch format. (A tip for the adventurous DJ: flipped to 33RPM the tune becomes an epic balearic chugger, a late-night psylocibic alternative for the heads.) The synth-heavy sounds of the Ambient Mix on the flip side harken back to the chill-out rooms of the '90s but twenty-some years later bring the best kind of vintage charm.

I first heard of Julixo when I put my hands on his fantastic EP called Silas released on Rauh 005.
After that, I kept a close eye on the sounds he was posting, and when I heard REBHO, I knew we were going to do something together. The warm synth line, together with the jackin drum patterns, were perfect. Then came REFLECTIONS, which fitted superbly with REBHO. Although slower, and maybe more introspective, you still have that warm feeling going through the track.
We decided to go with LIFE OF CRIME on the other side of the record. Much more aggressive in its construction, that track deserved a side on its own: modern techno at its best.
I hope you will enjoy this nice versatile release as much as I do!
Best regards, Philippe Petit

We have the tremendous pleasure to welcome Manuel De Lorenzi to Bad Barbie Records with his Company EP, including three ground-shaking tracks for our next vinyl release. The first track called Company as ep, starts with a solid tech house base composed by several old school elements, like the hi-hats, with a great organic and raw sound. But is not after that the main synth riff enters the scene that the story really begins and the groove is finally completed. This synth riff with a subtle delay effect that plays around in the stereo image, truly creates a fantastic vibe, which gets round up beautifully by the bass line that finally gives this track an amazing party groove. The second track called A Child has a more elaborated groove and a deeper vibe than then previous one. With several percussion layers articulating each other and plenty of occasional fx and sounds, combined with the deep stabs and synth in the backend, create a cloudy atmosphere that is near the border of hypnotic too. A great delicate track with a superb quality to listen and play. The last of this three tracks is Jack Malleus, a fantastic collaboration between Manuel and Andrea Speed, which resulted in nothing less than a powered deep tech driven by an involving and groovy string bass line. The constant texture sounds in the backend working as pads, and the crazy and tweaked vocals, complement all together working perfectly as the main responsible sounds to elaborate the underground and yet strong ambience that characterizes this track.

Act Natural Limited. Vinyl only. 200 copies. No Repress. No digital promo.

Richy Ahmed's agenda setting Four Thirty Two label welcomes back Jansons and the Senzala duo for two terrific tracks that are designed to detonate the dance floor.

London duo Senzala is made up of Jonni Santos and Sam Holland, a pair who have impressed with their inventive sounds and rich musical palettes on labels like Pets Recordings and forthcoming releases on No. 19. Fellow Londoner Jansons, meanwhile, has been tipped as one to watch, with numerous plays of his recent releases on Four Thirty Two, Knee Deep In Sound and VIVa across all the BBC radio specialist dance shows.

Both these artists released individually on Four Thirty Two in 2017 making a real impression, now they combine their considerable skills on this excellent two track single.

Opening up in brilliantly arresting fashion is 'JNZ', a big-hearted house track with bouncy rubber kicks and scattered percussion, bringing a loose sense of funk to the groove. Perfectly soulful, pitch shifted vocals (from Margaret Grace, for the spotters out there) bring an inescapable 'hands in the air' vibe that's already tearing up some of the more discerning dancefloors out there, and already big with jocks like Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed, Hot Since 82 and many more.

On the flip is 'Aura', with its razor sharp hi hats and exuberant drums molding an expertly functional track. Withering sci-fi synths shoot through the mix as frazzled chords bring more energy and atmospherics to this full fat house banger!
Label head honcho, Richy Ahmed, explains more;

'A cracking new single then from Jansons & Senzala, new school house heroes to definitely watch out for over the coming year!
finally ready for release, the 'JNZ' track has been the biggest tracks in my record box over the last 5 months, it's one of those
rare cuts that always gets an amazing reaction where ever it gets played, I'm really chuffed that this is coming out on Four Thirty Two'

Jens Zimmermann is known for his detailes work in the monosphere of Techno. Modulated bass, pitched drums and changings effects. The "We transfer" release are two new tracks in his well known style. Side A with more atmosphere, the sound for the big floors and halls side b in a more oldschool like way for crashing the clubs - definitely Jens Zimmermann on his best!!!

Detroit Swindle's take on 'Get out' utilises Kerri Chandler's own infectious vocal samples from the original, the inaugural release on Madhouse back in 1992, ethereal pads and intriguing synthesiser motifs underpinned by an gritty bass hook. Josh Butler contributes gripping vocal licks and hypnotic chord progressions on top of shuffling percussion and a grooving low-end with his remix of 'I Got That Feelin'.
Peggy Gou's remix of 'I Need You' offers up an array of intertwining melodies with acidic overtones which float above sharp cymbal work and crisp snares before Jimpster's take on 'Powder' provides warped samples from the original, evolving synthesiser motifs and crunching house drums to close the release. Madhouse Records Presents 'Kerri Chandler Remixed' drops on Madhouse Records on 9th February 2018 (Vinyl Only).

Active on the scene for the past 10 years, Pirupa's reputation for a consistent stream of quality house and techno is simply indisputable. His music has been signed to labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Desolat, Get Physical, and Defected. His tracks have been continuously seen on the Beatport chart toppings, and the immense feedback continues to prove testament to Pirupa's success and relevance on the global electronic music circuit.

Pirupa will join the ranks of andhim, DJ Koze, Re.You and Eagles and Butterflies on German duo Super Flu's Monaberry. The 'Solo EP' includes 3 fresh cuts of prime time originals and a remix courtesy of Monaberry's own Viktor Talking Machine.

Title track 'Solo' parades shimmering synths above driving drums and a brooding low end before 'Activator' launches with ominous vocal echoes, gradually building into a hypnotic roller full of energy.

'Fleshy Bleep' recruits jittering percussion alongside an aerating bass riff for an idiosyncratic club number before Viktor Talking Machine step up to close the EP with a textured and stretched out remix.

Tallmen 785, after releases on Hotflush, Fiedel and his own self-named imprint, makes his full EP-debut on OFF.

Things kick off with Batucada, a full-on dancefloor tool with raw and unique sounddesign.

The name-giving 'Circadian Rhythm' goes down a more subtle and experimental route, with an intricate synth lead pattern joined by a swung ladback groove.

'Driving Forward' does what its name says, an arpeggiated lead on a hefty kick, joined by meandering distorted pads make this track as danceable as trippy, a perfect tune for the later hours and to close this EP.

Generatia '90 proudly presents it's second record. After the serene vocals & atmospheres that dominated the first vinyl, this one is a perfectly balanced mix of different visions coming together in one 100% romanian VA. Each track has a special and unique signature from each artist, custom made for Generatia '90, but still keeping a part of each artist's energy and emotions.
