International Deejay Gigolo Records are releasing a remix compilation of DJ Hell produced experimental track 'Wir Reiten Durch Die Nacht", taken from his 5th studio album 'Zukunftsmusik". This release features remixes of internationally renowned artists Adriatique and Coyu. First up is Adriatique's remix, a reflection of their own interpretation of electronic music with a strong and playful vibe. Coyu's remix is a dancefloor ready interpretation of the original cut, with a decidedly more pumped up and dark atmosphere.

Iceland's Volruptus returns to Bjarki's bbbbbb with five esoteric cuts titled 'Alien Agenda'.

Releasing on bbbbbb at the end of last year, Volruptus has emerged swiftly on the European party scene, with the Icelandic artist popping up on line-ups all over the continent. Following releases by Norway's EOD and fellow Icelandic talent, Lord Pusswhip, 'Alien Agenda' is bbbbbb's third record of the year - continuing Bjarki's progressive tastes for innovative electronic Scandinavian artists.

First up, 'svi´nasti´a 3000' deploys a synthetic, fast-pitched techno revolver fused with space- induced, twisted modulations. A scratch tool titled 'Itchy and Scratchy Show' follows before launching into 'Su´rmatur' - a celestial 303 synth line layered over scattered electro drums, together providing a magical transcendental experience.

'Alien Agenda' is suitably an eccentric, IDM tinged number with shades of acid and powerful bass shrills becoming the focus here. Last up, 'Misanthropgy (Dark Sto¨ff)' provides an energetic rolling percussive loop, intensifying naturally through cryptic, high-pitched melodies.

Ahu's debut album from 2017, 'Nord Dream', was something of an overlooked gem from that year, but its musical palette of dubwise techno and ambient sounds caught the ears and enthusiasm of many. Danny Clancy was one such admirer, and in turn brings Ahu's sophisticated sounds to his Dichotomy Records label for the 'Atlas' EP.

Collating three tracks of pure and untethered house and techno, the 'Atlas' EP shifts tempos and moods with ease, from the celestial rhythms of 'Skyway', the pipe dreams of 'Mpale' to the 909 swing and the seraphic pads of 'Searching'.

Ellen Allien prepares to release her first ever solo EP outside of her BPitch Control imprint and has chosen a label she avidly admires, Boddika's Nonplus.

As a DJ, producer, BPitch Control label founder and organiser of the regular 'We Are Not Alone' parties in the city and elsewhere, Ellen Allien was not only there when the techno sound of Berlin was moulded in the basements of squats all over the capital but continues to be a tireless advocate of all aspects of this culture more than ever, as indicated also by her international Vinylism event series.

'Take A Stand', her debut release for Boddika's Nonplus Records, is as much informed by all those experiences as it is by the relentless hope and passion that have driven Ellen Allien ever since she stepped up to the decks of the infamous Fischlabor in the early 90s. 'Take A Stand' is a three-part statement about (and for) the here and now.

"My own history and experiences in the Techno scene inspired me to motivate people to stand up for what they think, for their opinions and rights. A lot of people say that Techno isn't political, but why not It can be political of course." - Ellen Allien.

The title track is both a thundering call to action and a love letter to the unifying power of rave culture. While its lyrics may seem vague at first "take a stand for or against what" they unravel their mystery while the track unfolds gradually. Starting off as a sparse basement banger, 'Take A Stand' slowly escalates into an acidic anthem before subtly changing its course once more towards the end. Over the course of ten and a half minutes, Ellen Allien revives the cheerful optimism of the original techno revolution while positioning herself against the joylessness inherent to so much techno these days. This is a revolution you can dance to.

On the b-side, 'Trigger' takes us into an equally hypnotising trip down the wormhole of contemporary rave culture. Combining a hard-hitting groove with a muffled, bouncing acid bassline, it will have basements and big rooms alike dripping with sweat.
On 'Flying Objects', Ellen Allien uses her voice once more, this time to round off what could just well be the official musical manifesto for what she usually refers to "space techno" - a colourful, futurist statement that leaves no ass unshaken.

One of Firecracker's Founding Fathers returns once more, this time shoving two fingers up to current DJ conventions smashing out a 150 BPM electrofunk hybrid. After focusing on remixes last year, Halle (Saale)-based Karl Friedrich rises like a phoenix from the ashes to deliver his
latest EP on hometown hero Monkey Safari's label Hommage. The 'Phoenix' EP showcases two original tracks and
includes three remixes from Marco Resmann, Fabio Giannelli, and the Monkey Safari brothers themselves.

Yielding its musical narrative from no single genre, 'Phoenix' instead maneuvers delicately the spaces between the deep,
soulful and celestial. The self-titled track Phoenix' represents a rougher side of Karl's work, with trance-like deep
house rhythms, highlighted by a majestic phrase growing in form as the track reaches its climactic peak. On the other
hand, Rone,' located on the more melodic end of the spectrum, is a soundtrack ranging from the dreamlike aquatic to
brooding futuristic cityscape. Marco Resmann's adaptation of Phoenix' is a more rugged and high hat-focused reread
of the original, while Fabio Giannelli's dub edit introduces a new tempo, making this version almost unrecognizable.
Finally, Monkey Safari's take on Rone' heightens the melody with new hues and layers including voice samples,
changing the overall feel.

e mighty Man Power returns to Correspondant. One of the earliest labels to champion his explorative technoid landscapes, and deliver his debut album, the Mexico based composer makes a welcome return with three truly singular trips...

'The Zen Of Xen' comes in two segued parts, comprising almost 13 minutes of full intergalactic immersion. Laced with the alluring deep-dream vocals of Tel Aviv's Xen, anchored with tripped-out humanized harmonics and weaved with soaring pads, it's a genuinely emotional narrative that's been cooking away on Man Power's creative wishlist since he first met Xen at a show five years ago.

Elsewhere 'Heart For Yes, Life For No' will have you spitting rainbow emojis all night. An incredible piece of vibrant melodic techno rooted in synthesis, galvanized with emotive layers, driven by feels it sets us up perfectly for the fantastical finale 'Hubris'. Cosmic, soft-focused, sparkling but topped with a choral chant that comes in from nowhere and arrests every sense as the elements rise and fuse with theatre.

By far one of Man Power's most techno-focused and biggest records to date.

Whilst many are looking to Miami the latest two tier trip from Super Flu looks beyond the silicone spring and on to the summer as it prepares to take the sun-drenched floors by storm. Lead cut 'Va Ga Va Ga' with vocals from the Islandic band - Hjàlmar - and its nod to the blues of the American south is set, to be singalong smash. Mark our words. Grey Goose anyone On the ever so cheeky flip, 'Shneeblee' the boys take the last train to London and set a fire on high under monsieur blue sky. Finally fellow Halle boy, Ole Biege, follows up his recent Monaberry smash 'Line Dance' by injecting 'Va Ga Va Ga' with a collars-up-head-down strut. Strong groovy stuff for the floor.

After a fruitful 2016, Monkey Safari is back with 'Heavy Body Music Vol. 1'—sure to satisfy even the most diverse of cravings. 
The compilation is the first of a new series on Hommage, curated by Sven and Lars, and yet another example of how the powerhouse brothers are taking the world by storm. The inaugural release will showcase original mixes by BLOND:ISH, 
John Tejada, Marino Canal and a new one from the boys themselves. 

The first track is a Monkey Safari-original, appropriately named  Motor', that fluctuates between robotic vibration and motorized samples as it progresses from dark and eerie lullaby to pumping dance anthem. In the next track,  Moonbow', the female duo BLOND:ISH incorporates tribal rhythm and soulful chants, spawning a sensational hit whose jungle-ambiance will undoubtedly prove impeccable for the upcoming festival season. From there, LA-based DJ and producer John Tejada plays with an array of velvety echoes, captivating beats, and funky synth chords in his sexy track  Bad Hombre'. To finish it off, the young Spanish producer Marino Canal presents his minimal masterpiece  Equinox', taking listeners on a scenic journey with deep tones and alluring melody, perfect for headphones and dark clubs alike.

Over the last decade Andre Lodemann, a regular in the worldwide underground dancescene has released on many prolific labels incl. Freerange, Room With A View, DFTD and Innervisions. Come 2018 Lodemann is now releasing his album 'The Deeper You Go' on his own label 'Best Works Records'. He started working on it in 2012, taking his time for his emotional artistic approach with a lot of attention to detail. The album successfully walks the imaginary spectrum of Deep House, Tech House and Techno also taking dives into other waters. Where his previous longplayer 'Fragments' was a compilation of past works, "The Deeper You Go" is his first artist album containing everything a listener would want to hear both in a club and at home. You can feel that the tracks where created out of the same mold. There's a mood, a common thread and a story through the works.The album is dark in a subtle way and yet has that positive vibe and aggressiveness to it. "The Deeper You Go" is mostly instrumental with two features by the british singer and songwriter Huw Costin, bandleader of 'Torn Sail'.

Lodemann's sound is deep, warm but aggressive at the same time. It explores the less chartered end of the soundscape. His songs generally feel like a narrative. It builds and grows as the song progresses and climax past the halfway rewarding you for your time invested. At the climax the tracks sometimes morph into what feels like a whole new song. This is his signature sound.

The album starts with "The Deeper You Go/ Emptiness" these two opening tracks follow the Lodemann formula to the tee. They are perfect as opening and introductory tracks as they set a deep mood for the rest of the album. Moving onward 'Metamorphosis' is a hard but soulful techno track that shatters the stereotype of what techno should sound like crossing genre-borders. With the track "Lost In Your Eyes" he goes in a different direction using an aboriginal sounding horn, accompanied by a bassline, both together create an uplifting but also scary mood. 'Birth" was released in 2017 and it feels raw and reminiscent of his earlier works.The collaborations with Huw Costin of Torn Sail complement Andre Lodemann style of production: In 'Treasure' the two artists find perfect balance where the beat builds in between and around the vocals. "Misty Road" is a flowing bass-heavy ambient track that perfectly closes the album.

Autre fell asleep in a gondola and awoke in the Krankenhaus. This is his first offering for the ESP Institute. Side A's Everybody In The Past is sharp techno aimed for the alleys of your mind — gritty, driving, and melodic combinations of blown-out drums and classic electro riffs that relentlessly sprint for a good 4 minutes before a squelching arpeggio and angelic solo kick in — tugging the heartstrings and lighting a beacon for those noble morning dancers lost at the front left speaker, channeling from the deep. On Side B, Frigo completely dismantles any expectations you might have after listening to its predecessor. An undoubtedly seductive Samba rhythm comprised of distant snares, rim shots and cowbells holds together an aggressively active bassline, a steel drum harmony and synth solo that crawl all over like a funky worm. This track is truly something special, a gift for the prodigious selector — when dropped in the deserved context, it has the potential to unlock unprecedented levels of euphoria. These two songs are as fluid as a paintbrush yet precise as a scalpel.

Last spotted selling elephants on eBay, Bebetta bites into 2018 with yet another genuinely unique concept: 'Megalon / Hedorah', two tracks dedicated to beasts defeated by Godzilla's famous fierce wrath.

The vibes are as strong as the concept: 'Megalon' is an electrifying slice of drama that rolls and thunders with the weight and tension you'd expect from a 50 metre high drill-handed beetle humanoid. Its weapons come into action midway as we're suddenly jolted into wokeness via a crisp, nerve-singeing breakdown that's strong enough to KO a whole fleet of Godzillas.

'Hedorah' also lives up to its muddy, slimy gaseous pollutant namesake. A beast of two halves, the first three minutes of rolling percussive grooves don't give any hint to the noxious euphoria that's about to breakout midway. Powerful, highly strung in contrast and fittingly cinematic, over the course of eight minutes Bebetta has us in the palm of her hand and could crush us like a kaiju.

If that's not quite enough, Upercent gets involved in the skyscraper-top ruckus with his own take on 'Hedorah'. Much more stripped back and peppered with theatrical one-note bass drones and shimmering pianos, if the original soundtracks the beast's fight, this scores its gradual evaporation, emotional, raw and a perfect way to conclude this stunning one-of-a-kinda EP. You really don't get much betta than this...

For this second release, the hedZup crew invite the hot and prolific producer Carlos Sanchez in collab with Wlad and Damien Badey for an hypnotic groove named "Strong".

Two solid remixes on this release : Politics Of Dancing pushed the track to a higher level of efficiency and John Jastszebski applied his raw techno touch.

As an extra tool, the 2 heads thinking from hedzup, Wlad and Mancini for their first collab created an aerian and groovy track "12th"."

NorthSouth Records are back with their second release again bringing two young, up and coming producers into the fray. On the North Side is Berlin based Bristolian Christian Jay, with a few releases under his belt up to now, this man has been making some wicked music of late and as soon as we first heard these two tracks we knew we had to release them. The South Side is taken up by a friend from Essex, Bilal. Impressing us with his productions for some time now behind closed doors we felt that now is definitely the right time to show off this young mans talents to the world.

Lithuanian based label Sodai started its journey in 2016, making it a label still in it's infancy but making a big impression. Owned by artist Gardens Of God, who started the label to create his own 'no limits' plat-form for his experimental sounds and projects. While at the same time a platform to give other artists the chance to also have freedom with art and music.

With releases from Raxon, Few Nolder and Third Son under their belt, the label shows no sign of slowing down, next in line is Italian producer Alex Schaufel (Suara, Diynamic) who is welcomed to the label with a his heavy hitting four track EP entitled 'Roots'.

In a much anticipated return, one of the scene's most esteemed producers Davide Squillace is back with a ten track album. To be released on Crosstown Rebels this March, Once Upon A Time In Napoli provides an eclectic range of both hard-hitting and introspective productions. This release paves the way for an exciting year ahead with several more releases in the pipeline.

Prepare to be immediately drawn into the album with effervescent opening track, The Boogie Man. Exploring a range of wooden percussion, Squillace layers up with distant chord synthesis, statement vocal and a sturdy kick. In The Mood For Love follows with an array of drum pad beats developing gradually into an anticipated second drop littered with claps and sitar-esque melodies. Distorted vocals and incredible percussion, provided by Italian drum guru Paki Palmieri, form the basis of Dada Is Back. How We Communicate has an otherworldly feel with gnarled vocals and energetic snares.

''Once upon a Time in Napoli' is the story of my twenty years in dance music. The album covers the many textures of this journey, with influences of the early days in Naples to my Circoloco residency in Ibiza. Ranging from the warmth of classic analogue synths to the crisp precision of digital beats' Davide Squillace

The second half of the album starts off with a solid kick, chock-full of wildlife samples, Noah is a enaging cosmos of indigenous experimentation. The gradual nature of Holy Motors leaves the listener hankering for more and carrying on the lively vibe, Vostok isn't for the fainthearted. Squillace incorporates filthy bass, mad klaxons, cowbells and a whole heap of variety into this exorbitant tune. And finally Napoli Texas, opens with a delicate symbol and floundering bassline. An excellent example of the renowned producer's dancefloor filling production.

Leeds based beat machine Niko Maxen returns for his second outing on Shadow Sanctuary. Two indelible, groove led originals are on offer here, served up with remixes from man of the moment Michael James and label boss Dexter Kane. Having already stacked up releases on the likes of Hoarder and Fantastic Friends, it's been a strong 2018 so far for the Pathway Traxx boss. 300 copies - vinyl only, get it while you can.

Audiotrophe Ernaehrung kicks of his vinyl debut on Wout Records with a massive 4 tracker EP.
"Greifswalder", "Structure" and "Defects" are full of dubby basslines, melodic synth abstractions, rotating percussions, vocal snippets and endlessly moving sound effects, a clear musical reflection of Berlin's electronic music scene and a demonstration of AE's ability to present diversity.
This EP ends up with a raw, straight forward and deeply driven remix of "Greifswalder" produced by the Italian collaboration Mood_Out and Dinkis.

The mindbenders are back in town! After their smash 2013 release Up', Ricardo Villalobos and Butch are reaching into the vaults of their mass of co-composed songs and finally are making two more precious gems available to the public! Down' is the opposite of Up', bringing a chill, deep vibe to the floor, but still keeping it club, baby. Fu¨nf Viertel' is a trippy mind-expansion that has been getting huge responses by you guys when ever you heard But or Ric play over the last few months. Fasten your seatbelts, shit's about to get extra-terrestrial!

Soma mainstay Deepchord returns with part 2 of the Luxury Series. This Double A release feature Deepchord's signature atmosphere rich tones and lush environments and also mark a slight upturn in terms of pressing on a more Techno vibe.

Luxury 3 opens as spacious as can be as the dynamic Modell crafts otherworldly pads and haunting tones, driven by muted kicks and driving subs. His effective use of delay and reverb knows no bounds as he subtly shifts synth stabs and background noise through the dimensional barrier, creating rhythms so refined they defy the natural law. His usual percussive wizardry is at work here that, whilst vigorous, retains a light atmospheric feeling keeping fully in line with the melancholic tones of the track. Clocking in around 14minutes, this is Modell as his most immersive.

Luxury 4 has a distinct Detroit heart to it. Those almost instantly recognisable saw waves, moulded by layers upon layers of processing, swirls and evolve and Deepchord slowly works in various elements of the track to unparalleled levels. Fairly reminiscent of earlier, more stripped work, subtle percussion brings things to life fairly quickly as Modell allows the layers of ethereal synths and processing to blend and fuse naturally, creating a cohesive background to which the listener can easily spend hours listening to, every time finding ever so slight nuances to each cycle of the track.

Deepchord never fails to impress with every release and can easily change his style up from previous incarnations based in pure atmospherics to his own unique brand of legendary Dub Techno.

"warm And Hazy 'in-a-dream-like-state' House Music, It's A Trip!"

A limited collectors pack containing both chapters of SIT's Invisibility LP, four coloured records and a poster designed by Sushitech art director Kerry Roper.Fans of stripped-back, minimalist techno - particularly the Eastern European variant focused around Romania's thriving scene - will happily tell you that every release from Christi Cons and Vlad Caia's Sideways Invisibility Theory project (AKA SIT) is worth checking. This pack containing all the tracks from their new album (both chapters one and two) is certainly noteworthy. It features a quintet of trippy, low-slung late night workouts seemingly designed to operate in the cracks between tech-house and minimal techno. There are naturally subtle variations throughout - a nod to dub techno here, a psychedelic acid line or dreamy deep house texture there - but throughout, their focus remains firmly on wonky early morning workouts - A future classic.

In our series of related incidents we were out searching for a suitable incident to occur after our well received Black Merlin (George Thompson) voyage in early 2014 (it's been a long time, yes).

Nashville, Tennessee's very own Grey People (Alex J Michalski) works his distortion on a sinister remix (B1) that's leaning towards the more techno side of things. for the B2, Will bestowed an amazing bit of roughness upon us.
With the blessing of Zoroaster the vinyl release will take place in January.

Acclaimed purveyors of magical (classic) World and Soulful grooves, Diephuis & Jephte Guillaume, release their colourful summer Afro jam, 'Baba M'fa Njika' - featuring the electrifying voice of Cameroon's songbird, Barbara Gwanmesia. As you'd come to expect from this duo, 'Baba M'fa Njika' is a musical feast of earthy Afro beats, hypnotic synths, infectious sax and rhythmic vocal chants, which, pirouetting around Barbara's magnetic croon, throbs with the love, hope and gratitude that the lyrics exude. There could be no better expression of positive power than that unleashed on this gem release from the prestigious Shelter Records.

Diephuis and Jephte Guillaume have both individually brought authentic global sounds to dance floors, the world over - each owning and dominating his turf in extraordinary ways. In 2013, the acclaimed producers joined forces for the first time to produce 'A Journey To Rotterdam' that was later released that same year on Joe Claussell's Sacred Rhythm label.

The Netherlands born Diephuis has produced and remixed many key players on the scene - from Dj Angelo to Ursula Rucker, along with Eastar, Jocelyn Brown, Peven Everett, Stephanie Cooke, Kenny Bobien and Marc Evans - just to name a few. Some of his productions are remixed by the likes of the talented Monoo. His production 'Diephuis - Crossing Borders' was the first remix that the Kings of House team collaborated on together. Many important DJ's in the scene like Black Coffee, Louie Vega, Tony Humphries, Spen, Dixon, Hyenah, Marley Marl, Cajmere and others have played his tracks. His work has appeared on labels such as King St, Nulu Records, Quantize, UnQuantize and many more.

New York resident and Haiti native Jephte Guillaume's musical resume includes works with an impressive array of stars, including Wyclef Jean, Groove Theory/Amel Larrieux, Destiny's Child, Jermaine Jackson, Busta Rhymes' band, and literally, a plethora of others. His own productions, which carry rich Latin and Afro flavours, have earned him much respect on the global underground scene. They include none other than the timeless 'Onè Respè', 'The Prayer', and 'Kanpé'. These tunes are too good. Iron Curtis must have been particularly inspired by the muse while producing these four outstanding House tracks. You'll feel a comprehensive knowledge about Dance music's history when listening. No doubt, the Franconian who is now based in Berlin has spent a good time of analysing House music's techniques. "Sweet Romancer" is the best example for his studio eloquence. Modulated synths, a classic bass line and a whole batch of drum ideas are combined into a wonderful track. The interplay between subtlety and vitality characterizes "Nixdorf Danse". Plus, you won't forget those strings. On "Triroom" he proves that he has a knack for melodies as well. Finally, "Take Me Home" should provide a lot of emotional moments on the dance floor with its dramatic piano and crescendo-like synth line.
