GIANT RECORDS see's in the new year with a killer EP from a bright new producer from Poland - by the name of - MARIUZ KRYSKA - Mariuz offers up two peak time grooves here with remix duties falling on - SASCHA DIVE and GIANT head honcho GRANT DELL. The first track up is LOW JAM, which see's
the original mix dive into a deep drum lead swing - reminiscent of old Todd Terry beats, that have gone before, all topped off with a spoken word and tight hats and rides.
Next up is SASCHA DIVE - giving LOW JAM a slowed down Dubby feel with some sweet Dubbed-out stabs that evolves into that deep house sound that sascha has mastered over the years.
Next cut is NO PERSPECTIVE - Mariuz's original mix is a relentless bass heavy work out which weaves around some slick west coast gangsta rhymes and Detroit style strings and pads.
GRANT DELL'S take on No perspective leans on the Detroit style pad, from the original and add's some off kilter 808 beats that sit nicely along some smart 303 stabs and the gangsta rhyme - which then merges into a slick Techno jam with added breakbeat's.

If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.'
It's not often we get to write about a release with a George Bernard Shaw quote. Then again, it's not often benevolent, community-spirited beatcrafters like Cioz come along. Driven and inspired by the idea of sharing knowledge, ideas and inspiration, Cioz has established the Spazio Giovanile di Boccaleone, a community-based creative hub in Bergamo Italy where artists unite, collaborate, develop ideas, inspire and create. Also a hugely promising new artist with releases on labels such as Einmusika and Subjekt, right now he's developing ideas, inspiring and creating with the one and only Monaberry.
In keeping with his previous pieces and his influences such as Bodzin, Holden, Kalkbrenner, Cooper and many more, the whole EP is laced with a restrained yet beautiful theme. 'Arbol' rises and rises with shimmering fluid synths and space aged stream train momentum to the percussion as we're driven to exultant peaks. Lion' strips back even further for a late night trip into dense cosmic fog while Good News' draws us back in soulfully with an immaculate feel good hip-slinker that oozes dreamy sentiment yet does so in a really captivating clipped and restrained and subtly detailed way.
Cioz's ultimately positive and evocative label debut concludes on a remarkable remix from Tim Engelhardt. Adding an insatiable afro swing that's reminiscent of DJ Gregory or MAW 15-20 years ago, there's an infectious physical pull on the rhythm that refuses to let you go and complements the spirit and tone of this awesome package.
Watch out for more of Cioz's creative crusades on Monaberry later this year!

Gauss is a collaborative studio project that has been active since 2014. Individually, Chicago native Natan H has released on labels as respected as ManMakeMusic and Finale Sessions, while Maltese producer Owen Jay has been spotted on Underground Quality and Minuendo to name but a few.
Independent from their accomplished solo careers, Gauss has a strong identity all of its own which taps into the immersive mood of Ornate Music while coming at it from a fresh direction. Building on the foundations of their self-released 12" series and appearances on Contrast-Wax and Hizou Deep Rooted Music, the Maximum Entropy EP finds the duo in formidable form.
From low-blowing electro drums to shimmering pads, rugged, snaking house grooves to hypnotic, metallic chords, on this record Gauss have carved out a cohesive sound world that channels the spirit of classic dub techno. It's this common thread that brings the four distinct tracks together into a truly engrossing exercise in deep-diving electronic music.
To celebrate this landmark release each record includes a limited edition printed insert featuring the label artwork from the 1st 25 releases cataloguing the story so far.

Jacky makes his debut appearance on the growing label Keep It Zen Records and kicks off 2015 by taking you on a journey with his sensational 'Nineteen EP', featuring 3 peak time dance floor hitters, all with that unique 'Jacky' signature sound he is becoming well known for.
'Nineteen' simply goes off! It's a straight up emotional tech-house love affair blended with erotic female moans, hearty synthesisers and a driving clockwork bass line that doesn't stop. 'Beyond' holds an infectious groove throughout with a chunky rolling bass line, which we love. This banger then breaks down in the centre with Jacky's, yet again, consistent and electric synth work used to take you in a different direction of his journey.
'Mute' a straight up bomb with swagger kicks off the B-side of this relentless record.
The dubby kick drum combined with Jacky's low-fi moody bass and the euphoric melody of strings makes this track big and bumpy. System2, made up of vinyl lovers Tez Hurst and Danny Hevingham, who are signed to the likes of VIVa MUSIC, Kaluki Musik and their own imprint also called System2 join the Keep It Zen family and display just how mature their sound is. Clearly sticking to no rules but their own System2 jolt and bounce through their remix of 'Mute' in an almost improvised and live fashion.
A lot of love went into this record, and thought was put into every inch of this release.
Even the tracks names are not a coincidence, as Jacky tells us the story of his journey pursuing a career as an electronic artist. 'Nineteen' is the age he was when he took a loan out and bought his first pair of turntables, 'Beyond' is the name of a bar where he played his first ever gig in his hometown Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and 'Mute' is the brand who took him on as a resident allowing him to play monthly at his favourite club as a youngster, Sankey's.

'Waxing Egos" is an electronic/techno rolling 909 inspired track. With a distorted bass & clean drums, weird builds & simplistic drops the track is an up tempo stomper.
'Subbing It Out" is a rolling sub bass with vocal samples, ambient breaks & bad ass percussion & drums to keep the dance floor moving.
"Don't Call Me" is a slower ploddy beat. With a lead vocal cut from a phone call, this track again has a distorted fat sub bassline & is filled with clicks, beeps & pops for the highs.

2Volt and Emasa land their first posthouse EP on EADEMVOCE. Four tracks that serve all needs, with a strictly selected sound palette declined in four different moods. A1 delivers the hypnotic energy which is necessary to take off in a brief and significant journey into the past future. A2 is a pit-stop, giving the listener a pause to gaze around, leaving a chance to the mind evaporate into the synthetic atmospheres. B1 turns the situation in a determined hunt for something hidden, in a scenario dominated by rubbery tweaks and acid stabs. B2 is the celebration of arrival, the success of discovering something unique traveling in an acid path that cross a forest of morbid synths.
Sometimes amongst all the music that we hear every day, something comes along so unique and brilliant that its captivates your mind and soul and refuses to let go.
That was exactly what happened when we first heard DOKTA - the ex-studio engineer with the freshest take on electronic music we have heard for a long time. Fusing a fully analog working method & live instrumentation with a breathtakingly unique arrangement style, DOKTA combines all his experience working with some of the best in the business and transcends it into one hypnotic stream of genre defying mastery.
For his first EP on 20/20 we are fortunate enough to have remixes from fabric resident Jay Clarke, and a collaborative contribution from Seth Troxler and Bas Ibellini. It is a major milestone for 20/20 to finally have a Seth Troxler production on the label. He has been a great inspiration for us and hugely supportive of our output over the years. Seth went into the studio with good friend Bas and came out with a remix worthy of DOKTA's long abstract arrangements.
We hope you enjoy, and with an album in the pipeline for later this year we promise there is a lot more to come...

Fideles is the joint moniker of Italian duo Daniele Aprile and Mario Roberti, who have carved out a niche for their distinctive brand of deep, techy house on noted labels such as Defected, Be As One, and Marco Resmann's Upon You, among others. Here on their first outing for Poker Flat Recordings, the duo cook up four courses of lean, focussed tech-house for Steve Bug's seminal imprint. 'Detuned' starts the journey - an edgy, tense groove exhibiting the boy's masterful sound design and use of space to create a thick, intoxicated atmosphere. 'I'm Rude' is more direct - a thumping bass drum introduces a low slung bass groove, slowly evolving and mutating into a true party-starter. 'Worthy' uses similar building blocks but delivers a different vibe altogether, revelling in a minimalist production aesthetic and cheeky bass riff. 'Ran Baran', the title track, is another lesson in great production - each element perfectly balanced to create an atmosphere of controlled mayhem - which is exactly the response this entire EP aims to instigate on dancefloors.
children are laughing and playing in the back, a baby screams happily: handsome field recordings welcome the listener to the final chapter of fred p's fp-oner trilogy for mule musiq.
the opening tune is called smiles, so children's laughter fit the mode. the idea is that smiles and cries are natural for children and as they grow to adulthood the reality becomes more, therefore the duality of life itself is obvious in the mood of the song.
the new york city native that is working on his very own music for almost 20 years explains about the beginning of his new album that features eleven tunes for deep meditative club use and beyond.
it brings the listener house music full of cosmic realities, odd jazzing moments, japanese spoken word pop, synth spheres for ambient use and an overall outer-national atmosphere, that handsomely dances between roughness and subtle tuned in deepness.
i chose to base this project on numbers in order to impart a bit of depth and substance. 5, 6 and 7 have a meaning in both the literal and esoteric sense. we as a species are a combination of matter and energy, so it is a matter of relating the two in harmony.
my experience as an artist expresses this. it's like a testimony to the human condition and how we relate to treat and mistreat one another. this view is the base of a philosophy that is close to me, be-cause art imitates life.
so rather than doing a project that highlights ego posture, my intent is more about what can i give to the listener. as a human being, as an artist, what can i share it's a part of a philosophical tug of war that goes a lot deeper than the expectation of what one might think a dance album or rather an elec-tronic music album should be.
it's food for thought, not candy and a soft drink, but real substance that stays with you.he reveals about the profundity of his trilogy. at large it is a journey inward, compelling, mesmerising and en-chanting.
for the final chapter fred p mostly produced in his studio in berlin on various synths and with a bunch of mysterious samples, all later organized and programmed in ableton. this project has a beginning mid-dle and end. the record 5 was intended to introduce a meditative energy within a rhythmic construct as the number 5 represents the dynamic and unpredictable.
the whole album carries the energy of that ilk. the album 6 is of an earthly and more harmonious dis-cord. i attempt to bring the inner conflict in the form of natural unnaturalness. the raw energy of the search in this project i think is self explanatory, which is the point i believe to show how flawed one can be but express very specific themes honestly.
finally, with 7 my goal is to merge the two into balance, as one focused state of mind as 7 is the thinker beyond understanding or beyond the illusion. this is my hope people take away from this: a feeling of growth, optimism and positive energy. we are dealing with vibrations every person resonates with, so the idea is where do you want to take that
what do you want to do with that as an artist you can do some good or some harm. for me i choose to give the best that i can and i hope that the people that participate get a sense of that.' true words by a kind and gentle soul that loves to speak in music.
they explain much and then leave things in the dark too, as he basically says: let the music play. so listen deeply, open your doors of perception, dance the atomic mess around, stay small, be true and don't forget: fp oner's music is a traveling zone with a universal meaning. it can mean many things to different people. but thus is the purpose of art.

I didn't watch twin peaks so i didn't know that this was where the big string chords had come from, it just hit me emotionally and i loved it. i also loved the mournful 'yeah-eah-eah' sample which was so simple but completely perfect. a lot of techno and rave was quite brash at that time and this was an antidote for me. At that age, if i was really into something i would work out how to play it on the piano and i remember sitting in the music room at school, hammering out the 'moby chords' when i should have been practising my scales. i don't really regret that - at least i knew the chords when it came to making a remix years later!' - Rex the Dog - 2016

They expect me to write something informative about the tracks on this EP here but I find it really difficult to express music in words. On top of it I went out last night, to Club Der Visionäre, and I feel hungover and empty inside my head. So now I'm sitting here and all I can think of is, can't you just take a listen to the music!' The EP contains 5 tracks all made in the last couple of lousy summer months here in Berlin in nostalgia for the better days. It's about house and a bit of electro, no gimmicks.
In the blink of an eye Steyoyoke nds itself approaching its second birthday. A lot has changed since the label rst emerged on the scene and tremendous strides have been taken in becoming a label to reckoned with on the scene. In mark of such efforts the label has put together its second Anniversary EP, featuring four remixes from four top artists on some of the labels highlights of the last year.
Play Again' was the title track and seducer of Soul Buttons engaging EP release earlier last year. Pete Oaks remix of this gritty affair carries the same devilish charm and attitude as the
original but with an added pinch. Gravitating around those, Pete Oaks remix packs a punch with couple of heavy drops.
Patrick Podage takes aim next with a well balanced remix of Florian Rietzes Treibholz'. A thunderous bassline surges this downtempo treasure into life, sending the elements scattering
across a progressive and steady groove. Contrasting strings keep the raw emotion within this dreamy landscape.
Brazilian pair Flow & Zeo take a strong hand to Soul Button and Saschs collaborative work Little People'. What was once a track that held a delicate touch, now holds charge as it moves
with purpose and alarm. Rising and falling with precision, Flow & Zeo produce a rollercoaster of a remix.
Wrapping things up is Stevie R and Ian Mckenzies remix of MPathys provocative I'm Yours'.
Emerging slowly out the blocks, the remix builds to become the eccentric jewel in the crown. Notes that appear drunk as they dance between a steady groove make this a quirky adventure for the ears. Maintaining the same enticing vocals and original tribal percussion help keep the heat.
All tracks will be available on vinyl from the 14th of February and in digital on the 10th of March with the additional Pete Oak dub remix of Play Again'. The 14th of March will see the label
hitting Ritter Butzke to celebrate their second birthday coinciding with the release of the Anniversary EP. All featuring artists will be playing their part in showing that there is still plenty more to come from Steyoyoke.

Hot on the heels of System of Survival's latest album and exclusively on vinyl comes the D-Votion EP to Get Physical Music. The influential House duo present cuts from the album, 'D-Votion' and 'No Time To Waste', 'D-Votion' is laid out first; a deep and groovy dancefloor track with low end grit and a funky swing it its step . A collaboration with Salvatore Stallone the track is very moving and nearly impossible to resist. 'No Time to Waste' plays a hypnotically rhythmic synth over a steamy stage of sweaty percussion. Next we turn to the brand new vinyl-exclusive acid house number 'Phantom Power' for a heavy dose of midnight action. With a very technoid feel, the acid's presence suspensefully builds a tension throughout while the bassline chugs the track further. Next SuRFBiT joins to present 'Searching for a Wave', another track featured on the album. This one shines more sun with warm synths, soft vocals and gentle melodies. The collaboration ends the EP on a warm note, a special sound for a special dancefloor moment.
TERRANOVA kicks off 2018 with a bang with 'Cosmo EP' (KOM378). 4 top-notch tracks showcasing the strongest outings yet in his impressive back catalogue.
Following an excellent entry in our SPEICHER series with 'Speicher 94' (KOMPAKT EXTRA 94 - co-helmed by Reinhard Voigt), the much- acclaimed full length 'Restless' (KOMPAKT 327 CD 123) hit turntables two years ago, TERRANOVA aka Fetisch, the creative mind & producer behind the project he likes to describe as 'the deep space electric ark' has been in orbit since the release of 'Terranova DJ Kicks' (!K7) in 1997.
TERRANOVA* now returns to the spotlight with COSMO EP, a jacking four-tracker inspired by raw Chicago House, early NYC Electro , old school computers /A.I. and some very special analog &digital machines featuring 2 excellent collaborations with Milan based artists.
Opening track COSMOCHORD features the Italian DJ legend Flashmob. The result is a peak time monochord banger that takes both producers' extensive expertise in propelling dance floor cuts to new heights.
COSMOCODE feat VOLTAGUE intense psychedelic Techno again with peak time quality. LANGSAM is an elegant, driving example of classic dance floor electronica. A skilled combination of an 808 with an obscure vintage beatbox of eastern origin, an Oberheim OB8 and a 1970 Kunstkopf Mic Instructions mixed on the original Deutsche Grammophon 1950 Valve mixer. PERFECT HAPPINESS wraps up this action-packed release with some a twisted afro stomper lead by a drunk sounding computer bouncing on the mic.
*Ad eundum quo nemo ante iit
Part 1 of this EARGASMIC Acid House comp jumps off with BISHOP's Latin influenced "ACID DRUMS". The B-side sees JAMAL MOSS and DARYL CURA team up on the dirty deep "CONFUSED TRANSPORTATION" a stomping spaced out acid bit. ISOKE follows & captures serene early morning vibes on "ALBION BEACH".

Get into the ultimate snorky groove with a vinyl reunion of four blasting Snork tracks from 2016. Fantastic house tunes meet dark techno beats and create a powerful piece of striking techhouse. In "Somehow", Harry Axt is mixing peppy beats with shady mysteriousness. Next, with a steady and strong groove, Roland M.Dill releases the zombie and sucks you into a compelling kaleidoscope of intoxicating rhythm and sound where one question is pending "How Do You Know You are Not a Zombie"
The time you turn, Rody is ready to catch you with a smooth yet impulsive track, which is drifting into your ears with a strong beat. Finally Mathias Schaffhäuser will fill you up with some experimentalism energy. "Arcane", as the name already may assume, opens up some mysteriousness: Weird sounds scratch where you don't expect them. It get's a little spooky, yet at no second groove is being compromised. Moreover, the entire piece is packed with snorky super power!
Harry Axt
"Harry Axt's distinctive productions are for dancers, shufflers, dreamers, ravers and bedroom bangers alike." What else do we need to say Probably that since his start with the Grand Petrol team in 2004, he has been releasing on a variety of renowned labels such as Leftroom, Snork Enterprises,
and AFU Limited; or maybe that he has been remixing splendid names like Christopher Just, Broombeck, The Horrorist and Miro Pajic.
However, one of the most crucial features about Daniel Steinberg's alter ego is his unpretentious irony that accompanies his character and his music. He is a little brusque. He is clumsy and a walking fashion laps. Harry Axt - what else could a German stereotype techno artist's be called Dark and bursting techno sounds - what else could he sound like
Roland M. Dill
As a young child, for Roland M. Dill, it was all about classical music education. He played the piano, the trumpet, the trombone, the alphorn, and the organ. During his youth, he won several prizes and operated as a choirmaster. So, his ears have been schooled pretty well ever since - for classical music, jazz, and subsequently also for techno. His first glance towards electronic music was Detroit.
He admired artists such as Charles Siegling, Jeff Mills, Petar Dundov, and finally became a producer himself.
Since his first release in February 2008 on Trapez ltd., Roland M. Dill has proven himself as a remarkable techno producer with a distinct sense for rhythm and who soon became well-known within the scene - at the latest with his big success of the remixes from Minilogue's "Space", Lucio Aquilina's "Disco Bus", or Extrawelt's "Im Garten von Eben". Also, his three different remix versions of "I Want it All" for the Depeche Mode album "Remixes 2: 81-11" on (Mute Records) spread the word
about Roland M. Dill. Considering his musical background, it is almost self-evident that all of his productions include a lot of analog instruments. He rarely uses music programs. And, he pursues musical freedom. No message, function, or advocacy is included in his art. It's just the music itself, and its sole function is techno.
Early in his childhood, he made his first contact to music when he learned to play the drums in music school. Yet, it took some more years until Robert Jähnert aka Rody discovered his interest for electronic music and eventually started off as a drum'n'bass and jungle vocal artist in the middle of
the 90s. Together with some friends, he put his drum'n'bass addictions into action and founded the Breakaholics in Butzbach, a small city close to Frankfurt. As he moved to Hamburg a couple of years later, he continued his activities and founded the Elbdisharmonie festival.
After 15 years of break beats, deep house and techno tunes filled his style with some new inspiration - by the way, two genres, to which also his friend and former band-mate Martin Stimming had turned.
Meanwhile as an art director, music contents also started to play an increasingly important role in Rody's job life and so he decided to learn the basics of music production at the SAE Institute in Hamburg. Since then, he has been busily playing with deep kicks and melodic leads, which he has already shown on his former release on Snork Enterprises.
Mathias Schaffhäuser
The last couple of months have been really creative year for Mathias Schaffhäuser. July 2015 saw the debut EP of PAWAS & SCHAFFHÄUSER on Compost Black Label featuring a collab with Gregor Schwellenbach and in April he released his 4th remix compilation called "RE:4 - Selected Remixes Vol. 4" on BluFin Records. In September he debuted on Biotop Label followed by another vinyl EP on OPAK Records in October - just to mention a few. But for sure, many people know him for "Hey little
girl", his club hit from 2001, and his label WARE which he started in 1997, on which various contemporary electronic music artists have been released in their very early days, such as Benjamin Brunn, And.id, Dominik Eulberg or Audio Werner.
Besides being a busy label manager and producer, he is especially known for his smashing remixes, which he has produced for Pan-Pot, Dapayk & Padberg, Northern Lite, Luomo and many other widely known artists. Outside the studio, his live acts are always an extraordinary blast, or as he describes it: "I mean, who squeezes techno and house tradition, spontaneous vocal performances, crude cover versions and melodica solos into a one-hour set, without constantly staring at a computer screen"
SNORK ENTERPRISES
It's a distinct sound diving deep down into the spheres of genuine underground techno where bass-lines surround your mind and the fascination of a gloomy yet groovy world of sounds inevitably enters your head.
Founded in 2004 by techno DJ and producer Christian Schachta, known as Syntax Error, Snork Enterprises is a base for modern underground electronic techno music. It's not at all about being pretentious or arty for the sake of it. It's about real depth on the dance floor. Short and sweet: very snorky! It's a journey with friends such as Cristian Vogel, Phil Kieran, Jens Zimmerman, Daze Maxim, DJ W!ld and other big names from the techno scene having dedicated themselves to an uncompromising, stunning beat to go even further on a trip to the instantly exceptional, experimental sounds, ranging back to various roots of electronic underground.

Hamburg based hafendisko has been re-
sponsible for some incredible output over the
last few years, and are noted for their judici-
ous selection of remixers.
This vinyl only release confrms the fact -
a selection of four shimmering remixes of
hafendisko material including a new remix by
Smallville's Julius Steinhoff which is exclu-
sive to this vinyl release. His rework of 'Alive'
- a new track by hfn's highly rated Ebb - is a
sublime slice of deep emotional house music,
strings, keys and synths interplaying perfectly
with gentle vocals form the Swedish outft.
Brynjolfur's new track 'M25' already receives
brilliant feedback from those in the know, and
it's Mihai Popoviciu's remix that get the nod
here - crafted for the dance-foor but at the
same time deeply musical and moving.
Similarly, Jacob Bellens' 'Polyester Skin'
- taken from the upcoming correspondent
album - receives an outstanding remix treat-
ment by Tuff City Kids (aka Gerd Janson
and Phillip Lauer).
Lydmor & Bon Homme's 'Dream Of Fire'
with a remix by Johannes Brecht - also
features here - a subtle, affecting mix that is a
secret weapon for discerning dance-foors.
