You pull into question this supposedly pragmatic and balanced approach to modern society and take it apart, piece by piece, in an attempt to see a way that we can move forward and create a world in which everything and everyone resonates as one. It's a pure picture, a vision where we no longer exist in this dystopian Discordia, a world defined entirely by distorted fringes and crooked boundaries. It's this harmonious world, a world of 'Fields Without Fences' that we dream of. The dream is fully and wholeheartedly realised in this stunning body of work. It opens with the beautiful 'Undisguised', a piece comprised of intricately interwoven drums and emotionally enrapturing melodies, finished off with beautifully drawn out vocals. Oliver Schories has crafted a truly captivating, emotional and spiritually enlightening journey with this latest offering of his trademark melodic crossbreed of house and techno. During the course of his prosperous career he has gained an extremely impressive following and has released on labels such as Parquet, Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke, Kittball and Noir. Produced by Maurice Fulton. From Resident Advisor: Maurice Fulton listens to The Hydrangeas Whisper The house producer will revisit his flower-focused Boof alias on a new LP/CD next week. Maurice Fulton will release another album as Boof on March 30th. Boof is just one of Fulton's many aliases and projects, and one that he's been returning to every five years or so. The music he releases under the name concerns itself mainly with flowers and it's among his more eccentric material, touching on disco, house and hip-hop. The Hydrangeas Whisper follows 2011's Shhh, Dandelions At Play LP, and where that record landed on Running Back, this one will see release via his own BubbleTease Communications.

Bristol native Borai's latest offering on NYC-based label Discovery Recordings is a welcome breath of summer air. A wildly diverse talent shines through Boris' body of work. I've Had Quite A Day Too is the greatest glimpse of his sunny side so far. Soak up these songs as winter retreats and we move the party outdoors again

The Make Mistakes ethos is one of diversity and evolution, and that is showcased in full on our newest vinyl release Need Your Luvin'. House, Acid, Techno, Roy England, Jarvi, Fredy Grogan. One track, three styles, all dance floor bounders.
Roy England's original mix is a jackin' house jam with a timeless vibe. A classic house sound propelled forward by the titular vocal sample, England manages to deliver a track that would work equally in the lounge, as well as late night in the big room.
On the B side Jarvi's Acid Workout strips the original down even further, and fills it back up, with a wandering, hypnotic acid line to stitch it all together. An old school party sound, both familiar and fresh. Fredy Grogan deconstructs the original into its component parts, building it back up into his dark, and driving dub techno remix. Drawing it out over nearly 8 minutes, this'll have the heads bouncing off the walls.

House, Acid, Techno, pillars of dance music, mixed together, given the ol' razzle dazzle, and served up hot and ready for mind, body, and soul. Grab Need Your Luvin', stick it in the crate, and never worry, because you'll always have the Luvin' you need.

Toby Tobias has a lengthy history of disturbing the peace. This is his second offering for the ESP Institute. On side A, Second Stimulus stirs shimmering staccato chords, roaming pipes and detuned robotic sighs into quite the disorienting stew—the loose arrangement remaining fragmented over 9 minutes of touch-and-go 808 programming, picking up a pseudo bassline assembled from sub toms, introducing a gritty break loop and eventually blissing out into oblivion. With side B's Synchro Surfer, Toby plays with the notion of suspense by gently teasing a muted kick and percussion rhythm under washes of white noise, bleeps and sirens that are tape-dubbed and which, over time, begin a dialogue with each other, as if the machines have declared mutiny on the garage. Toby continues to stretch his limits with his output for the ESP Institute, possibly headed toward a full-fledged devolution of conventional dance music. These two songs may have you arrested for public nuisance.

Please welcome Frankfurts very own EINZELKIND as the latest addition to our artist pool. His first single 12 contribution for Cocoon Recordings seems to be endless and gets nicely spiced up with hypnotic vocal elements and discoide space sounds. 'Free Savioni' already made the terrace floor on one of our Cocoon ibiza nights move big time. It actually had such a strong impact that we immediately had to sign it after Einzelkind played it! 'Aya Curanderito' on the flip side sounds like a late night party deep in the forest witch trolls dancing around a fire, this is deep shamanic business with a slight Villalobos touch (no wonder as the two joined forces before for some other releases already). Cool and trippy, something for the long nighs at the infamous Robert Johnson club or Berlin's Panoramabar. Welcome señor Einzelkind!

Matuss continue to deliver deep and soulful techno via her vinyl only imprint Absence Seizure, which she helms alongside Abe Duque.
Opening with 'Whistler', Matuss delivers heavyweight bass tones, dubbed out drums and obscure synthesiser transitions before 'Zoya The Destroyer' provides eerie atmospheres, crisp percussion and subtle mid-range motifs which sit on top of a melodic low-end.
On the flip side we have 'Stranger things', which sets an ominous tone with murky ambiences and ethereal pads underpinned by a powerful kick, rumbling sub-bass and percolating rhythms to close the release.

On Paranoia, Oliver Huntemann's prowess and versatility as a producer is evident, from the space age minimalism of 'Magnet', through to more melodic, upbeat productions such as 'The End', in which warm sounds resonate through the listener.

R&S welcomes Acid Mondays for a 12" of lysergic house music that reaches far into the outer cosmos.
Formed "somewhere in the 5th dimension' Acid Mondays is the cosmic coalition of fellow psychonauts Negghead (Dan Ward) and Lex Wolf (Alex Wolfenden).

Repeated transformative visits to Ibiza culminated in landing regular slots at Circoloco where they have been testing this tune in the dance all Summer long.

'Universal Rhythm', their latest interstellar dispatch and debut on R&S is their finest work to date. An anthemic paean to the cosmos that features an impassioned spoken word missive from shamanistic MC Shovell, impressively recorded in a single take, making the case for the universality of experience and oneness of all beings.

Latin rhythms fuse with a driving Fender Rhodes lick (provided by JD73) and percolating cow bells to hypnotic effect. This calls to mind a combination of classic Carl Craig and Villalobos at his most playful. R&S new signing The Maghreban supplies a killer dubbed out take on the original that strips away the heavy kicks and pumps up the percussion, hurtling the synth pads to the fore that comes on like John Carpenter peaking on MDMA.

Dan Curtin's musical quest began amidst the inception of the techno and house phenomenon of the early 1990s. From his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Dan experimented with a vast number of styles, producing innovative sounds of every variety, from Chicago to Detroit to the East Coast. Dan's impressive discography dates back to 1992 when his first releases on Detroit's 33RPM Records and Belgium's Buzz motivated him to launch his own Metamorphic Recordings. A continuous stream of releases also followed on big players like Peacefrog, Strictly Rhythm, Sublime and Soma. In 2003 Dan decided to focus on a funkier production sound, while his creative instincts provoked him to make a change to the more fast-paced music scene of Berlin. This move soon triggered a string of new releases on labels such as Bass Culture, Holic Trax and Saved. Over 70 singles and 9 albums later, Dan is just as innovative as ever whether recording under his own name or one of his many aliases such as Purveyors of Fine Funk. Dan's prolific output shows no sign of abating and he recently announced the re-launch of Metamorphic, maintaining its vinyl focus while also making many of its releases available digitally for the first time.

The 'Galaxies Merging EP' opens with the title track and as it would suggest we get Curtin in sci-fi techno mode, with trampling beats and dappled synth work. 'Mind Sweep' continues the techno theme, but this time it's high-tech funk with a deeper and soulful undercurrent, while the unpredictable, late-night workout 'To Modify' closes the EP with a bold wash of erratic electronics. As a whole, the EP offers a snapshot of the diverse elements of Curtin's estimable production skills.

The next Bedrock release is the result of a collaborative project of the highest order from three of the scene's most respected creative mavericks - Gabriel Ananda, John Digweed and Nick Muir.

When it comes to the music of Miajica, there is always a variety of influences, shameless sampling and me- lodic patterns involved that touches our hearts. His love for records is a never ending story and this makes him a fantastic DJ and selector. Miajica's passion for the extraordinary is what made us at Light of Other Days fall in love with his music when we first met him several years ago.

Miajica might mostly be known for his work with Alma Negra but he is a prolific producer of his own and had some amazing releases in recent months. He also just launched the label Fleeting Wax with Mehmet Aslan - which is already getting some great attention in the balearic scene all over the world.

Miajica's first EP on Light of Other Days «Drive Down» was created from some of his recent and most striking influences: «Breathing Again» indicates the feeling after he stopped smoking and discovered this whole new world of intense emotions and sensual experiences. «L'Ae´roport» was created in one of those lost moments when you're overtired at the airport and have to wait to board another delayed flight to your next destination while the third track «Mediterraneo» is an uplifting homage to his heritage and roots in Spain.

Sonodab and Alex Troubetzkoy deliver the second Captivate vinyl release with four impressive cuts between dancefloors and after parties.Already supported by Ada Kaleh, Vid aka Egal 3, Nu Zau, Jakob Seidensticker (Wareika) amongst other.

Our leader unveils yet another facet of his production arsenal, this time turning a housey cheek, courtesy of sa ensual, yet chopped-to-bits vocal. The jacking rhythm section skips along in pure style, keeping the tight bassline in check while frantic edits help 'I Need You' to fully unfold.

Stefano Noferini nods to the old school in this double outing, and 'Furios' blasts out with a nostalgic bassline and intense beeping action over a crackling rhythm section. The title track goes for more heady territory with a hypnotizing vocal seeping in and out of the cracks, while the trademarked Noferini groove keeps the bubbling subs in check.

The undisputed groove don, DJ PP, graces 1605 with 'Revolver' Amo & Navas beef things up even more with their crunchy rhythm section, and opt for a dubbier vibe with their trademarked stomping groove and spacious, low-end percussive magic.

DJ Fronter leads us into another bouncy ride with the percussion-led 'Cntrl And Next' taking the lead and rolling out into action.

Idle Hands' first release of 2018 comes from Dan HabarNam, a producer who made his name with releases skirting round the edges of DnB on Exit and Cylon. In the last few years he has turned his hand to Techno with two 12"s on hs own Selectie label that found favour with Ben UFO amongst others. The Japanese-inspired Sentaku label pays tribute to its influences by signing Dixia Sirong for its first release. World Unknown and Theo Nasa first crossed paths in Andres Branco's vintage designer clothes emporium, Wavey Garms. The conversation started with rare Moschino coats and then led to Mr Nasa's music and the fact that Richie Hawtin had just jumped on one of his digital releases. We're really chuffed to be releasing Theo's vinyl debut. It's a pounding big room monster inspired by his first experiences of a certain Berlin nightclub. Theo Nasa will be a big deal sometime soon, there's no doubt about that. Make sure you get on this now so you can tell all your mates how you have been into him for ages.

"Can I send you some tracks to listen to I'd love to get some feedback from you". Not an especially odd request for a DJ these days. But it's a very nice surprise when literally every track in an 8 track demo package from someone who has never put any music out before is brilliant. Messrs Bowley and Blake had real trouble deciding which one to choose for Traynor's debut release and eventually went to Sunward. It's trippy and shimmering with a ton of pump. Trancey but not trance, or maybe it is. The kind of thing that lights up your night in a club and gets played again and again at home or in the car

The newest 12 on Voodoo Down Records marks the debut appearance of longtime friend of the label Jordan Lieb a.k.a. Black Light Smoke. Jordan played an instrumental part in the NYC label Scissor & Thread, and has spent recent years honing his live set in front of crowds ranging from BPM, Robot Heart, and fabric. The Depression Sleeping EP is a collection of tracks from his archives from the past decade that have been updated and remixed. The theme of the record is his struggle with sleep and insomnia. Per the artist:'Releasing these songs form my past reflects my effort to embrace myself, the good and the bad, and to channel my personal battles into a creative process.

Limited to 300. A fourth vinyl release for London label BleeD, and a first full EP from New Jersey based DJ Spider, who runs Plan B and Sublevel Sounds, and has also released on The Trilogy Tapes, Killekill and Nord, occasionally in collaboration with Phil Moffa, Marshalito and Franklin De Costa. Spider also featured on the most recent BleeD release, providing a remix for Volte-Face's 'All Grown Up' EP. This release, 'Burning Museums', is said to "represent the loss of knowledge of mankind by the modern scientists who are destroying ancient texts in their attempt to erase history".

A tough, direct yet heady EP, 'Burning Museums' features 4 Spider originals, 3 primed for techno floors, and 1 ambient excursion. There's also a remix by BleeD boss, Volte-Face. Eatly support from Svreca, DJ Nobu, Daniel Avery, Tripeo and Zadig.

'Edmondson first came to my attention with his Lobster Theramin distributed release, Flamingo Tripper, on his own label 'Lissoms'.

Or so I thought...
Turns out he was actually a guy who used to serve me in one of my favourite pubs in Newcastle.
Back in those days he was a dub step / drum and bass kid, and as per the trend with all of those guys, he's now showing the house heads how its done, with a much keener feel for sound design, groove and a better ear for a sample than 90% of us lazy people who cut our teeth on a 4/4 beat.
Edmondson (or Sean as I did know him... and how I know him once again) is really one of the most exciting producers out there right now for me, and I couldn't be happier that we've reconnected and he's kindly allowed Me Me Me to present some of his amazing music.

"We Have Love' is an instant classic, and PSG is a work of pure emotive art.

To remix We Have Love, I've enlisted Dauwd (fresh from his amazing Album on Technicolour). Sean suggested him, and I jumped on the suggestion as he was one of the first people I met when I moved to Berlin 4 years ago, and I've been trying to figure out a way of working with him since.
He takes a We Have Love down a kind of more delicate and steppy route. It's very pretty, but also really makes you want to dance.

To remix PSG I asked ASOK. Again, I thought I first met ASOK about 7 or 8 years ago, when he came and played for a party I used to throw in Newcastle. After becoming good friends over the years, we got chatting and it turned out that we were both in Magaluf in 1998, and may have actually been involved in the same street brawl. Thats not something either of us are proud of, but its definitely food for thought.
I'm biased, but I think his remix is my favourite thing he's ever done, and I LOVE everything he's touched musically to date, so thats probably an even bigger endorsement than it first seems.

Proving he knows how to work a dancefloor, rising star Latmun makes his debut on Hot Creations with the mighty Footsteps, featuring vocalist Amy Douglas. In equal measure, the B Side Piquant delivers another heavy hitter.
A certified tech house bomb, Footsteps is full fire from of the off. New York based vocalist, Amy Douglas, brings extra heat, adding a distinct intensity in the build up. With a current track out on Soul Clap Records and an upcoming EP with Juan MacLean as part of their Peach Melba project, Amy is one to keep an eye on. One the flip Piquant offers another peak time killer for the dancefloor.
Latmun shot into the limelight in 2016 with 3 great of EP's.His Def EP on VIVa received support from heavyweights like Skream, Claptone, Claude Vonstroke, Matthias Tanzmann, Steve Lawler and many more. The following releases on Wow! Recordings and Leftwing & Kody's Lost Records had similar success. In 2017 he released his biggest to date, the Everybody's Dancin' EP on Relief.

The identity of Belgian mystery man Beton is a complete mystery to us. What we do know is that Twin Turbo owner/assistant webmaster Tiga has called this record the best release of the past five years. Even when you consider that Tiga believes he experiences time differently from the rest of us, that still means the soundtrack of your life for the past half-decade has been straight-up garbage in comparison. Since most DJs won't even listen to a record if they don't like the track descriptions, we realize a lot is riding on the next paragraph. Acid-electro bomb "Directions" is a collaboration with Wevie Stonder, who call themselves an "absurdist electronic music collective," which you'd have to agree sounds like a lot of fun. Meanwhile, "Keep Breathin" completely redefines the term "pump-bumpin' pumper," and features vocals from Dance Mania ghetto house legend DJ Deeon. Twin Turbo keeps puttin' hot MP3s in your pocket, offering maximum value for your hard-won digital nickels. As far as we know, you've earned it.

Mannella brings a rousing 12'' EP, enclosing a Sunil Sharpe's remix done with the forthright purpose of make you go ape.
The original mix of 'Nibiru Road' is a ever-changing techno story, told by a steady groove and such a badass kick-drum. A vitalizing ebb & flow of that rubbery synth and that melodic, a bit saturnine pad, that let you fly to the next Planet. 'Fourth Dimension' has been recorded from one of the Live performance that Mannella is doing under DAHRAXT alias. The hypnotic bubbly atmosphere created around that chopped pad, delivers this track to another dimension of delight, giving it a unexpected slant.
