Delving deeper into musical endeavours, Marko Nastic blends his essential quirky, modular soundscapes into two dancefloor oriented tracks. Fresh from his Boiler Room debut in Madrid last month, the Swiss DJ and producer Andrea Oliva makes his debut on Hot Creations with We Trust. Having built a solid reputation through relentless touring and a string of impressive releases, Olivia delivers two original cuts showcasing his skillful production.
The driving and incredibly infectious title track We Trust uses all of the techniques required for a club classic; a looping vocal layered over charged drums, culminating in a fearless breakdown. On the reverse, Soho Nights delivers a hook so catchy it's a certified Ibiza classic in the making.
Oliva's journey began at a young age, educating himself in record shops and eventually teaming up with Nordstern founder, Agi Isaku, hosting the successful Banditz parties throughout Switzerland.
A firm favourite in the Ibiza scene, Oliva's remix of Luciano's Rise Of Angels on Cadenza catapulted him into the global spotlight and releases on Moonharbour, Desolat, Objektivity and Cuttin' Headz soon followed.

A bastion of magnetic style and mixing board finesse, Honey Dijon continues to exceed her bounds, pushing through from the underground of New York to become a cultural, global star. Her Classic follow-up to 'Houze' with Seven David Jnr, the provocative 'Personal Slave' is unapologetic, hedonist and achingly cool.
Honey has teamed up with Charles Duff aka Charles McCloud, who lends his seductively sulky tones for the vocal on the record. Murky and mechanical, cowbell 'dinks' and a percussive breakdown lift the mood, keeping the tracks' feet firmly in the 'house' bracket. Consistently, Honey's productions piece together her familiar Chicago jack with a contemporary New York edge. This track goes further in exploring that hybrid style, delivered with Honey's signature lushness.
A strong force in the US techno scene under his Matrixxman moniker, Charles Duff appears again for remix duties on the 'Dungeon Dub', which as the name suggests is profoundly dark and moody, resonating highly with his regular slots at Berghain. The 'Drum Machine Mix' hones in on the percussive work, playing with a visceral, hypnotic vibe that is so potent it's almost dangerous. If this release is any indication of Honey's intentions for this year, 2017 will see Honey continue her ascension as a music icon.

The Russian born but constantly travelling artist delivers the goods in form of four dust-dry and psychedelic Techno tracks that celebrate the obscurities. Starting with "Dno" she sets the tone with an anthem for dark skies and basements. "Silences" is captivating with its dysfunctional sounds. After the whirling dance of "My Flights Without You" you can't help but feel a little dizzy. And "Dystopia" feels like hypnotic Techno with a punk attitude. The sixth release on Deep'a & Biri's Black Crow label welcomes another new name into the fold: Nico Campanella has been quietly building a stellar reputations for himself over the past few years, working under a variety of aliases to explore a sound that much like Deep'a & Biri draws deeply from techno's Detroit heritage as well as the propulsive dub techno of Basic Channel. With releases for several high quality under-the-radar European techno labels, including Construct Re-form, CLFT, Monnom Black and his own label Subosc, Campanelli's Kaelan and 2030 projects in particular have won him some ardent admirers & plenty of tips as a talent to keep an eye on. It's as 2030 that he joins Black Crow, for the Timeworm EP, which is completed by remixes from FXHE's Luke Hess and the label's Tel Aviv-based founders. The EP's original track are a pair of lushly-produced classic Detroit-influenced excursions, redolent of the cascading ambient textures and string melodies found within the work of the city's first wave pioneers. A1 cut 'In aeternum' could easily be mistaken for a lost early 90s classic in the best possible sense, while the title track also draws on a similarly timeless quality. With the original track ensuring the EP package will win other home listeners, it's the remixers who shape them for the dancefloor. Luke Hess's 'In aeturnum' remix is powerful dancefloor workout that retains a softer edge, recalling the producer's recent collaboration with OB Ignitt. On the B side, Deep'a & Biri offer two of their own interpretations of the title track, pulling the track across the dub techno galaxy with their trademark dexterity. Completing a truly exceptional package is beautiful hand drawn artwork by Israeli artist Avraham Guy Barchil.

Chi house meets soca in this carnivalesque new classic, which hits the perfect spot between sweetness and dirt.Yn Y Ty is fast, jerky funk and almost a new genre in itself. Both melancholy and pumping, think DJ Rush meets the Tetris theme in an oddball, groovy-as-hell work of genius.The cut-up, loopy loops and tough, tribal beats on Apilli are deranged in a good way and - as with the rest of the EP - demonstrate a quirkiness and subtle humour akin to Basement Jaxx's early golden period.A big sample drives the jacking, sweaty, glitz of Upsqwar's warped take on handbag, which channels the spirit of Modjo and features a ponderous, almost chiptune melody drifting subtly over the top.The EP closes with the Greek flavoured stomper Glas, which wouldn't sound out of place on Richie Hawtin's 1999 mix album Decks, EFX & 909. This new EP is first release since jus a lil for Crazylegs, which gained high praise from NPR, Resident Advisor, Indie Shuffle, Mixmag, Dummy, Hyponik and FACT - who commissioned a video and coined the tongue-in-cheek genre name 'outsider Ibiza'. Comparisons have been made to Thomas Bangalter, Alan Braxe, Todd Edwards and David Morales - albeit a skewed reinterpretation. Like the punks' assimilation of rock and roll, DJJ's fresh and irreverent take on highlights from dance music history make for some of the most exciting sounds since Daft Punk's first forays.Although distorted and with lowered bit-rates, to call theses tracks 'low fi' is to do them a disservice, as DJJ's manipulation of frequencies, distortion and samples is deceptively simple yet not easily matched. There's a mastery of sonics and leftfield sensibility at play, akin to fellow EQ tweakers Heiroglyphic Being, Aphex Twin and Adrian Sherwood.DJJ is a member of the Bristol-based label/collective Crazylegs, alongside artists including Gage, Sudanim, Finn (all of whom remixed just a lil). He's also one half of ISLAND, whose grime-flavoured Nokia EP was release in 2015 - also on Crazylegs.

It's only fitting, though, to celebrate this milestone with a comprehensive retrospective of his work: A Decade Of Dubfire. Cast your mind back to 2007. Electro house was already beginning to implode in on itself, crushed by the weight of excess and formulas. Hard techno had fallen out favour after years of relentless intensity. Straight up house was sounding somewhat stale. Minimal' was increasingly the word on everyone's lips, and in the wave of forward-thinking, boundary-pushing minimal techno producers came the birth of Dubfire's solo career. Hugely successful as one half of Deep Dish - undisputedly one of the greatest house acts of all time - the man otherwise known as Ali Shirazinia was always fascinated by techno, but it was this new stripped-back approach that sucked him into its path. His knack for combining a sense of minimalism and succinctness with a tough edge and sonic theatrics stood him out from the crowd and gave his tracks serious big room appeal, his productions instantly becoming firm favourites of every A-list DJ worth their salt. Over the years he increasingly fused his love for '80s synth pop and electro into his sounds, continuing his lineage of intensely electronic music with raw emotion at its heart. This compilation spans the breadth of his sounds, and is a timely reminder of just how many intense dancefloor moments he has soundtracked.

In recent years Moiré has become an integral figure in re-imagining club music. The enigmatic artist has travelled a note-perfect path and in just a few years has collaborated with fundamental record labels such as R&S, Werk Discs and Rush Hour. After his second and long awaited album "No Future" (Ghostly International, 2017), Moiré's "BBOY EDITS 01" is the first signing on C.E.E. The four track EP is comprised of unreleased material designed for the dance floor and provides continuity to his much prized Neversleep series. Club Excursionista de l'Electrònica (C.E.E.) is a moral, spiritual and cultural entity founded in 1875 in Vall de Camprodon. C.E.E. includes thousands of anonymous members who are organized into subdivisions and enjoy Sunday excursions into nature to end the weekend, where the joys of nightlife give way to clean air and mountain pursuits. C.E.E. can be described as "electronica folklorists", with a select catalogue of sounds from across the continent and beyond that represent an ethnographical journey through the most modern treatments of songs and popular dances practiced in clubs and tents all over the region.

While unveiling the 'Mutant Tournament' Quartet last year, label boss Nachtbraker was quietly hunting for new music behind the scenes. Being the fine huntsman he is, he came out of the woods with sonic bits and bobs so delectable he had no choice but to spread them out over two brand new quartets. That's right, eight records in total, to be released over the course of the next 18 months. We're delighted to introduce you to Scott Franka, who's at the helm of the first missive. This creative head from Amsterdam has been making music since the tender age of 11, but it wasn't until he adopted his Scott Franka moniker that he really found his groove. His music encompasses influences from dub and dark techno to classic drumpcomputer and synth-heavy house. Franka's style takes cues from Detroit, Chicago and the UK, and yet is also very personal and forward thinking at the same time. 'The Gym' might be his solo debut, but a smattering of releases from the man is on the horizon. The best way to introduce you to Scott Franka's musicality is 'The Gym' on A1. Starting of with sweet, melancholic chords and 808 hats Scott turns your world upside down after the first break. Try to keep your head steady, and get that dirty look of your face.. doesn't work right It's just too good. 'Toenail' is up next, and its undeniable groove and incredible amalgamation of synths and strings make for an absolute early hours melter. Flip over for 'Sorry' to hear Franka knock it out of the ballpark with its heavy breakbeat and UK-style bass. Finally, there's 'Street', a mesmerising groover, rounding things off nicely. The release doesn't only mark its first artist EP, it also marks a new look for the label. Building on the muscular,pheromone-rich theme of the first Quartet, Elsemarijn Bruys developed a fresh concept for both new Quartets with a little help from Scott Franka,

First appearing on Watergate with a phenomenal remix of Ruede Hagelstein's 'Soul Dynamic' last year, we are more than overzealous to announce Fur Coat's reappearance with their debut EP 'Interstellar'. Known for their deep and hypnotic yet fiercely engaging sound of dramatic melodies and formidable low end, the duo paint a vivid display of emotional dance floor scenarios in two exquisitely crafted tracks. 'Interstellar' takes off with heavy, pulsating drums and long blasts of sub bass as an enchanting exhibit of melodic wash over open spaces. The flip side sees the two join forces with the sultry voice of Delhia de France on 'Desire Of Mine' creating a deeply emotional tune that pulses with climactic fever. Returning the favor for last year's remix, Ruede expertly twists the original 'Desire Of Mine' with his unique brushstroke of sweltering organic percussion and infectious atmospheres ideal for a multitude of events.

The energy and versatility we're used to when Reinier Zonneveld takes the decks is immediately evident in his latest EP. Opening preceedings with Sharp Bust", a straight and to the point trancy bassline leads the way. Decked by mechanic stabs and hi-hats, the groove is simply hypnotic and relentless. Rushchamber", on the other hand, bears a subversive groove, with a minimal and dark bassline. Glitchy cut up vocals give an eerie feel, as the whole atmosphere becomes more and more immersive by the way of multi-layered drums. The final offering, Flatchat is anything but flat. Its intricate groove shares the dark and immersive territory of the previous track, while another set of cut up vocals draw instant attention. A descending lead padded with reverb and stabby synths, the last track rounds up the release, ending on a grave and intense note.

Brooklyn's Effective Weapons return with another useful weapon for your record box; 'Tear Gas' includes four relentless tracks bristling with techno-industrial carnage. Dark S&M flavor abounds on the lead track 'Controversy', a powerful- slow motion burner with super sleazy samples and ultra-heavy rave sounds. 909 workout techno makes up 'Dominator' which is based around an extraction from the Klinik. The B Side includes 'Bun Hope!' and 'Take a PIL' which also edit freely from industrial 80s jams and inject them with the EW flavour. Over the past couple of years, Kellerkind's unique interpretation of house music has truly catapulted him out of the figurative basement and into the limelight. Whether it was the disco-infused cool of 'Backflash' or the tribal rhythms found on his debut-album 'Basement Story', through hard work, rather than by miracle, Marco Biagini matured into a producer who is at the top of his game. With 'Music is a Miracle' Kellerkind now delivers a sophomore album that offers itself as a diverse and surprising love letter to music, carrying his distinct handwriting. This 12 compiles two of the album's highligts alongside three highcalibre remixes. 'I Know' is trademark Kellerkind, as he treats us to filtered disco breaks, colourful chords and a smooth vocal hook, while 'Music is a Miracle' presents a different style. Here, an extremely funky garage bass-line, Chicago strings and urgent trumpets surprise us as they drop after a Moodyman-esque monologue. Mantra-alert! The B-side is then dedicated to the remixes of 'I Know'. While the British heavyweights Leftwing & Kody bring the heat thanks to energetic dub chords and an urgent acid bass-line on their tasteful interpretation, Oliver Koletzki surprises with a rave-tastic old-school UK hardcore mix. Lastly, Murat Kilic focuses on jacking percussion and a rolling bass-line on his grooving version

After a lengthy hiatus, Tuskegee Music is back with a heavyweight release indeed: it features tracks written by Detroit heavyweights Seth Troxler—under his Young Seth alias— and cult FXHE boss Omar S. Amazingly they were written 11 years ago and have been long forgotten until recently being unearthed.
The first track here was inspired by a trip Seth made to Berlin's Club Der Visionaere in 2005. 'It basically was me returning to Detroit and telling Omar about this crazy music I heard Ricardo play during the day.' The result, 'Deep'(CDV 2006 Mix), is a spine tingling atmospheric deep house track. The drums are lo-fi and loose, the bassline is a meandering thing that really sucks you in and soft, gentle toms tumble around the groove and encourage you to cut loose.
Then comes the experimental slow motion drum shuffle of 'Detroit After Midnight' which the pair made after 'finding loads of weird records in his basement sampling them and making a classic MPC Detroit cut.' It has the sounds of people talking as if coming from the room next door laid over a lazy and undulating bassline, and is brilliantly weird and sketchy.
Last of all, Young Seth goes solo on 'Luiza's Inferno' five minutes of him jamming on Omar's MS20 with a warbling synth line coated in warm tape hiss and layers of dust. It's a beatless piece that shows how inventive and ahead of his time Troxler was even as a young man.
This is a brilliantly unusual EP and another winner for Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers' Tuskegee label.

Biosphere is the main recording name of Geir Jenssen, a Norwegian musician who has released a notable catalogue of ambient electronic music. He is well known for his works on ambient techno and arctic themed pieces, his use of music loops, and peculiar samples from sci-fi sources. His 1997 album Substrata was voted by the users of the Hyperreal website in 2001 as the best all-time classic ambient album. The Petrified Forest mini-album is inspired by the movie of the same name, released in 1936 and directed by Archie Mayo. "Alan Squier, a failed, world-weary British writer, hikes into an isolated, weather-beaten desert diner in Arizona owned by Jason Marple. Jason's daughter, Gabrielle is immediately taken with the disillusioned intellectual, since they share idealistic dreams of escaping the stark reality of their lives." (IMDB)
