Niemals welche, die ihre Eier nur in einen Korb legen, sind Marius Bubat und Georg Conrad dafür bekannt, täglich die Herausforderung im Studio zu suchen und nach einem neuen melodischen Blickwinkel oder Rhythmusschnipsel zu graben, der ihnen dabei helfen könnte die Magie zu verbreiten. Ein Auftakt nach echter COMA-Manier, bietet sich der Titeltrack ATLANTIS als überaus swingendes Neo-Disko-Opus dar, überschäumend mit Funk-Motiven und romantischen Synthie-Flächen, alle zu jenem Auftrieb verschmelzend, für das wir das Duo so lieben.
MAELSTRØM setzt diesen Trend auf spektakuläre Weise fort, erhöht den Funk-Anteil und stimmt sich auf den imaginären Soundtrack einer Lieblings-Polizeiserie aus den Siebzigern ein, fein abgeschmeckt mit einer Prise Acid. Update jener wunderbar melodramatischen Vocoder Träumereien, wie wir sie bereits auf einem COMA Klassiker wie etwa FICTION vom 2011er Synthie Spektakel GRAVITY (KOMPAKT 236) genießen durften.

The EP opens with 'I Need', a pulsating ear worm of a track that wastes no time in luring you into its embrace.

The French artist Julien Sandre and the British duet Dan and Tez A.K.A 'System 2' lead us to our first release "DHR01". Where the diversity of sounds are combined into an elegant outfit of acid tones and a fine use of keys with a clear base influence in house and progression.

Oliver Huntemann always delivers - especially on his own Senso imprint. After two decades at the forefront of the European scene, to see his name on a record guarantees deeply accomplished techno - direct yet sophisticated, brutal yet refined, physical yet cerebral. After a string of impressive digital releases, the four tunes collected here more than merit an appearance on vinyl. 'Pech' is a masterclass in the selection and combination of tone and texture. Elements unfold and flower organically - including a sustained and deliciously pitch-bent bass tone - as the tune reaches its climax of dancing synths. 'Schwefel' takes a voyage into more eerie territory, full of echo and distant music-box pings that are finally subsumed by gritty synth repetitions. The airy feel of 'Schwarzlicht' with its simple kick-less beat and textured woodblocks gives way to an imposing, thorax-rattling low end. Precision-engineered for a massive system, the pitch-bent bass twists like a contortionist, while piercing stabs pulse and ping. Last up, the slamming kick and buzzing repetitions of 'Filmriss' create a dark, edgy vibe. A pitched-up pulse - as if a string is being slowly tightened to breaking point - makes way for a truly monstrous and memorable sub bass.

New York's P. Leone is next up on Spencer Parker's Work Them Records bringing a trio of hard-hitting cosmic cuts.

Born and raised in South Brooklyn, P. Leone cut his teeth DJing during a short stint in Tokyo as well as his home of New York before dedicating himself to the studio.

He now arrives on Parker's Work Them Records, beginning his debut three-track release in mesmerising fashion with Atria delivering spectral atmospherics and tantalising melodies.
Sequences Of Attraction then introduces thunderous kicks and soaring synths until Miradouro wraps things up with dusky pads, echoing aesthetics and spellbinding arpeggios.

Aus welcome back label favourite Shenoda for his third release on the label, 'Burn' backed with a remix from Juxta Position. Previous releases on Hypercolour & Electric Minds have seen Shenoda firmly on the ascent but it's in his recent outings on Aus that his bold, rugged club music has really reached its zenith. 'Burn' follows suit with its predecessors with its power being rooted in seismic, analogue drums that are balanced against soft, allaying melodies.

The muscular 'Vista' then rolls out punching stabs and tight, shuffling drums before label mate Marquis Hawkes dusts off his Juxta Position alias and delivers a pacey and forthright take on 'Burn'. Melodies are softly mangled and given a spectral quality that recalls his 'Mazury' on DVS1's Mistress wrapping another solid addition to the catalogue as the Aus Music family continue to deliver the goods.

After the great welcome of the first three releases supported among others by Raresh, Peter Inspirescu, Ricardo Villalobos. The enigmatic ViceVersa is back with the fourth chapter of this adventure full of mystery and fascination.

YokoO and Retza return to All Day I Dream with four wonderful tracks furthering their emotional reach on the dance floor.
Euneirophrenia' (the peaceful state of mind after a pleasant dream...see we teach you things!) is an exercise in how best to use the sound of an elephant in a breakdown. Featuring one of the sickest bass line the label has released, this tune has rocked each and every time it's dropped, and been asked for repeatedly.
Orenda' goes deep. It is a lonesome melancholic beauty that slowly opens and delicately presents strings and subtle vocals.
Tarantism' evokes the fading days of summertime as winter approaches. Its lonely chords and sad strings pull on the heart. Gorgeous and very all day i dream.
Yügen' closes out the EP with another slow burner. Gently blossoming from its drum led intro, the emotive melodies build while deeper tones play off them and punctuate to make it a gorgeous piece of music.

Hailing from Ann Arbor and based in Detroit, Charles Trees started DJing raves as a teenager. A multi instrumentalist, Charles has played in jazz bands, scored films and released experimental downtempo music on Lovemonk. For this 3 track EP for Vanity Press he returns to his dancefloor roots.

90's freak-beat enthusiasts may recognize this record as oringally released on Temple Records New York in 1995. We are such fans of the label that we've teamed up with Khan (aka Bizz OD, 4E, Gizz TV....) to start a new series of releases pulling from Temple's vaults. The first in the series sees Khan and brother Cem (aka Jammin Unit and 1/2 of the legendary Air Liquide) unleashing a torrent of acid-tinged jack in the form of 'You Make Me Function' and 'Fun House'. Drummy madness for the most unhinged hours of the dance. Pressed on clear vinyl and bearing the original Temple logo as homage to the label.

"Closer" is the next release by Pink-Pong Records which represents, and at the same time, supports the debut single from the long-time companion Digitate. With some remixes on various other labels. This will be Berlin-based Digitate's first own! This new record allows you to feel Digitate's musical career even more so than his impressive DJ sets. Not to mention the support of Chambray, Future Proof and Illy Noize which gives this record it's brilliant flavor. Kicking off on Natural Sciences for the first time, 'Greatest Hits' is the ironic sneer from the DIY underground. It's the sound of chains, tar and black exhausts from deep within the suburban rave. Gun shots against busted speaker cabinets. Padded anti-hero b-boy breaks. Muffled street anthems from the back-seat of a midnight cruiser and slammed out acid party music for the youthfully insane.

VINYL ONLY. Iban Montoro & Jazzman Wax are one of the most successful combos of the current house music scene. It is very common to find them on all the most important house charts, with their releases on top notch labels such as Strictly Rhythm, Robsoul, I Records or Madhouse. After debuting on Cyanide in July with their awesome ep Freaky Deep Day', now is the time for a proper vinyl release.

Chains' defines what a house music piece should be. A solid funky groove, a fat bassline, subtle jazz arrangements and a catchy black voice, resulting into a catharsis of pure adrenaline and black sweat. The first remix comes by Matt McLarrie (Material Series, Younan) who has added a good dose of groove to the
already epic original track, obtaining a massive peak time bomb.

When we flip the vinyl, we find a superb remix by Dave Pad (Highway, Plastic City) who comes back to Cyanide, after his huge successful rework of Queemose Promise'. This time, Dave has joined his buddy Anjei, to delight us with a crispy piece of deep house, with a playful bassline and a subtle and elegant acid touch.

The icing on the cake, comes by the Spanish young talent Keepin' Soul (Pocket Money)...who has made an analog and raw dub version of Chains. So deep and fat that it hurts.

Having recently joined forces with Dubfire to bring us the third instalment of their successful Elements Series, Ideal Audio boss Oliver Huntemann flies solo again on his latest double-header, Licht & Schatten. Whilst we are all aware of the Oliver's arena conquering techno credentials, his latest work finds the German producer taking his foot off gas, just a touch, and allowing the groove to dominate these tracks. The driving, pulsing and cascading bassline of Licht provides the backdrop to crisply synced, stiffly arranged hi hats and kicks, before dropping into a minimal but funky melody. On the flip, Schatten treads a similar path. The track is anchored by an industrial, mechanised kick and flash-like synth touches before swollen, acidic stabs set the pace on the drop. Both show a different but equally welcome face to Oliver's sound.

Wrapping up a hugely successful summer of shows and releases on the likes of Toolroom, Definition and Glasgow Underground, Hamburg duo Piemont drive four hours due south to Halle: home of Monaberry and its consistently timeless, deep and evocative house signature.

A label where the groove takes the comfiest chair in the house and rich servings of atmosphere and funk are actively encouraged, Monaberry offers the perfect canvas for Piemont's distinctive dreamy sound. As proved right here...

'Spin Off' is no re-run: a subtly jacking drum arrangement provides the perfect bed for gentle synth lines to ebb, flow and purr over the undulating bass pattern. Vapour trails linger behind, overlapping with their own counter textures to create an almost cosmic experience.

'Ghetto Bird' flips the bird with its deliciously formula-free bravado. Its tech groove is peppered with classic stabs, delicate arpeggios and mild traces of sax soul as we ride into oblivion with red face glee.

Remix-wise two of Monaberry's finest apply their own twists to the tales: Nicolas Masseyeff toughens up the vibe of 'Spin Off'. Here more emphasis is placed on a dubbier metallic bass tone and an overwhelming synth hook that hammers with beautiful insistency.

Finally Bebetta strips 'Ghetto Bird' down to a naked rhythm and re-clothes it with silkier, looser garments, each one hanging off the arpeggio that blossoms from muffled and textural to a full emotion-rich feature piece in a complex, sense blurring way.

Little Boxes Recordings brings the second maxi single on 12" vinyl with a mixture of starbuds electronic elements and cotton candys handmade guitar strings. On the a side they create their imagination of modern dance music. The b side brings a fine techno based track with lot of syntheziser parts by starbud. The second song on the b side gives a warmer feeling with a guitar based piece of their minds.

I have tried to recount this most peculiar of musical cases many times before but with each attempt some strange ailment has struck me dumb. I feel that if I put fingers to keyboard I might at least be able to help other revellers, less fortunate than myself to share my wicked fate.One late summer evening I had the good fortune to stumble upon a weighty tome entitled Tone Drop Out Volume 4. Mastered to perfection by Craig Bratley, I further discovered that this substantial slab of vinyl was in fact an unholy conduit to the very rave gods I had tried to flee some ten years previously. The first incantation was a mesmerising, muffled bleeping prayer, a killer bass line squelching to perfection, summoned forth by Dawl, a guise he entitled Caught With A Spray Can. This was indeed not for the faint-hearted and I could only wonder what dark messages were hidden in that glorious aural graffiti.As I plunged further into my personal valley of delirium, I found a track born of John Lilly's LSD-25 induced pareidolia. This Jungian synchronicity, this addiction to rave whoops was none other than the Corporeal Face, the alter ego of a London DJ, an entity claiming to be Joe Roberts, whose adventures had taken him from Detroit after hours to Berlin boat parties. Phantasies skewed those hardcore tropes I had known in my youth and secured my passage on board a trippy, breakbeat, techno ride that alternated between cascading ecstasy and a macabre bass that I had no intention of ever departing from.
Yet depart I did. My transcendental state plunged me further into new realms of consciousness as I became immersed in Peaks Transparent, a four/four shuffler that pounded my spirit across the sonic peaks and troughs built by synths and pads, a monument to the non compos mentis World of Batter, better known by his id, Miles Davies. What were those haunting vocals that teased me from beyond the veil of my inner most shadow aspect Would they set me free or forever imprison me in their enigma Secretly I wished for the latter. Do Ears Have Eyes
My journey to the astral plane saw me ride the Valkyrie with The He-Men. We had travelled the sea of tranquillity together many times before but this time they were attempting to conjure the mighty Sub Com, a spirit track that builds upon their weird fascination with squelching acid and rolling basslines that ebb and flow like the cosmic swirls and eddies of quasi mythology. Once through this pulsating tunnel of tick and boom I found myself reborn in a strange apartment looking at a shadow over Innsmouth. I had narrowly escaped a rave seizure such was the power invoked by my extended play but my adventures were just beginning... as in the name of the e.p this is our fourth vinyl release. and dare i say it my favourite.
To mark this occassion not only do you have Dawl and The He-Men on this e.p you also have Corporeal face aka Joe Roberts a new firm member of the dropout family and World of batter aka Miles Davies the better half (ha ha ), of our friends Ears have Eyes , who themselves have had many great releases and people we will be working close with for long to come especially in the party side of things. this ep is not for the light hearted its a breakbeat / rave extravaganza.

Dawl track Caught with a spraycan - quality breakbeat from dawl as always , with tearing drums and mesmerising muffled bleeps rolling along, then comes that killer bassline to beef this ever moving squelching floor filling banger along, as always top dog dawl produces the goods.

Corporeal Face - Phantasies - another breakbeat rave monster, tearing dark bass line and the wo wo wo wo reminiscing the losts -Gonzo, roll along before the bleeps and then floor stopping vocal kicks in THE PHANTASY , another cracking dancefloor filler, after hearing this you can see why joe is now part of our family respec .

World of Batter - Peaks transparent - this is a totally mesmerising four four shuffler, wicked beat pounding through, with a muffled background voice there just enough to haunt you, while the synths and pads roll and build up and down. so happy to have ears have eyes in our crew quality fellas talented producers.

The He-Men - Sub Com - Kicking off with a straight four four beat and rolfs wobble board then comes the percussion and our trademark little noises that introduce the squelchy acid bassline, rolling along with noises coming in and out all the way as the acid builds , before tick tick boom comes the full on rave synths and hardcore break beat that elevates this tune and proper bangs it out, before then very gradually goin back to four four and acid to calm ya down a bit before have have a rave seisure.

London based label 4Plae Records launch their first vinyl release featuring remixes from Seb Zito, Dubphone, F.eht and Porque. It has been a long time coming. With digital releases being distributed from the start of 2015, 4Plae have built a reputation and sound which is organic and unique and sits firmly in the underground scene.

The original track 'Lomatic' by ADMNTi featured on Vandalism Musique at the start of the year. Close friends of the label F.eht (SAMANI) and Porque got involved with some remixes shortly after the release came out, and Seb Zito and Dubphone have also worked on the track, giving it their own vibe.

- Seb Zito's remix is full of energy, and we expect nothing less from the UK producer. His music has spread across the world in past years, and his heavy involvement in London label FUSE has created a huge buzz in the city, especially with FUSE parties on Sundays at 93 Feet East and now Village Underground.

- F.eht hasn't stopped progressing in the last couple of years too, along with his label Samani. His take on 'Lomatic' is deeper and moodier. Dubby textures can be heard throughout the track that keeps on rolling through the night...

- Romanian producer and founder of Vandalism Musique - Dubphone - has also contributed to the remix VA. His remix meets somewhere in the middle of the others, offering a lot of energy, and some darker textures. We feel that this remix, much like his edit of Moodymann's 'Hangover', will be heard at events in Ibiza this summer, as well as other parties in Romania, Spain and anywhere else that offers good weather, good people and good vibes.

- Porque has been a great inspiration to 4Plae, as both a producer/DJ and a friend and his release on 4Plae went down a storm at the start of the year. His remix - much like F.eht's - has more of a dubby sound to it. The remix is stripped back and includes some added vocals which fit the sound perfectly.

Cuartero has only been producing since 2011, but in just a few short years he has established
himself as a global player in the house world. His DJ sets are compelling things full of dynamic
grooves, and his bulky, robust productions are just as stand out. They come on labels like Desolat,
Hot Creations and Knee Deep In Sound, and always make any floor a sweaty, intense place full of
free-moving bodies.

Opening up this EP is 'Shadow', which has an immediate impact with its big rubber kicks and fat
bassline. Dark wordless vocals add a sense of late night naughtiness as crisp perc cuts through the
murky bass. A real foot stomper that manages to be deep yet physical, some soul infused synths
really finish it off in style.

Next up is the quicker cut that is 'Elevator.' This one has scraping hits and claps and a deep down,
woody kick drum that gets run through with irresistibly loopy bass. More wordless vocals, this time
from a lady, add to the atmosphere and are sure to get fists pumping and feet stomping.

Closing out a faultless EP of dance floor baiting club sounds is 'Been So Long', a turbocharged tech
cut with rich bass, lively hits and drum fills and bleepy melodies that will send any club into a frenzy.
Building to a tense peak then boiling over in style, this is a full fat track (and EP overall) that proves
Cuartero really knows how to make his sounds jump out of the speakers.

The name "7am" is self-explanatory in some way, the name = the time = the mood = the direction for the traveller.
