Longstanding German imprint Lebensfreude Records have featured more than their fair share of top drawer house and techno through the years - and their latest release sees
them perk up with more of the same. A collaborative effort between Destroy All Monsters boss and Lebensfreude co-chief Zuckermann and Catenaccio head honcho Benjamin
Fehr, the 'Avoid Everything' EP sees the duo team up together with considerable panache,
with two very different but equally enticing tracks that go some lengths to explaining the varied sounds of both men involved.

Jannowitz Records' label boss Lars aka BOHO is busy this year. Never in the world would he have thought that after an amazing 2018, the pace he had been going could actually accelerate. But 2019 is already a huge success.

Gigs in many parts of the world and more than huge releases are in the pipeline at the legendary Octopus & Yoshitoshi Recordings. On top of that: constant charting with Jannowitz releases !

This is why BOHO thought now would be the perfect time to release a banger EP he had been working on for several months. As always, BOHO sat down with some friends and produced three peak time hits - just in time for festival season.

Number 1 is beloved Heerhorst who has many releases in his catalogue on prestigious labels such as Octopus, Tronic or Stil vor Talent. He impressed the whole crew at the JAW headquarter with his sound and qualified immediately for working on the main track “Pinkfinger” - a powerful techno track with distorted synths pushing down on you. And there's something to look forward to: You will be hearing more from Heerhorst who joins the family as main artist.

BOHO and Xenia Beliyeva's collaboration “Violet” is something for the groovy dancefloor shaker. Its monotonous vocals sung by the Russian electro goddess fit perfectly to BOHO's bumpy techno side. Because is not only a stellar DJ, but also a great singer. Give it a listen!

Another Jannowitz Records favourite rounds off the three original tracks: Vazik is back. The Mexican power producer has done a lot for the success of our label - and we're more than thankful for that. He finds his way back to the label with a straightforward techno belter “Human”: “You are human. You will die. I will not.” - These super dark robotic vocals will spiral through your head and lead you to a powerful drop that won't be easily forgotten.

Russia, Mexico, Germany - as always a very colourful mix of superstars. But beware of the Italian powerhouse Christian Bonori who joined in to the party and made his very own version of BOHO x Heerhorst's “Pinkfinger”. Just as with Mr. Heerhorst himself, you will be hearing more from Christian Bonori as well. If you haven't checked out his work: do it. We're convinced!

The DJ duo Krüger + Meyer publishes new EP – with the tracks “Reverse“ and “Groover“

Techno- and Tech-House-Fans from Hildesheim are used to link the name Krüger + Meyer to fine underground dancemusic. The name stands for Benedikt Krüger and Julian Meyer. The friends
celebre their passion to electronic music with body and soul. Surprises included.

Surprising, that‘s also what you can describe their new EP. It will be published on 12th July. As the two tracks „Reverse“ and „Groover“ on the one hand are very similar to each other, they’re on the
other hand completely different. Like angel and devil. Both can be played on an open air as well as in the club. Different remixes complete the EP. You can buy it in a digital version and on vinyl.

But let’s go one step back to the production: The first track “Reverse” is a Tech-House-Track . “We engaged Vin Vega from Dusseldorf, he created the personal touch”, says Benedikt Krüger. Vin Vega is a producer in the genre Tech House. As second track “Groover“ differs completely. „To do the fine tuning, we obligated our friend Feador from Bueckeburg”, adds Julian Meyer. “Together we worked on the special technoid flair.“

Also the remixes are very special. That’s why Krüger + Meyer only wanted friends to work on the them. They engaged Arts & Leni, M.in & Gunman and FreedomB.
They all have long and intense experience and look back on many international gigs. Art & Leni from Hamburg are known for productions on „Ton liebt Klang“ and „Tächno“. M.in runs the label „My favourite Freaks“ (MFF), his tracks have been played by Claptone for several times. Gunman from Goettingen loves vinyl and runs the label „Shaker Plates“. He often works with M.in. Last but not least, Freedom B is the fourth remixer. He is from Madrid and very successful. He published his tracks on many well known Techno-House-Labels, among them „Toolroom“, „Great Stuff“ or „Flashmob“.

Krüger + Meyer are old stager. They work on the turntables since ten years. All the music thing started in October 2008 when Benedikt Krüger and Julian Meyer got the possibility to spin records in an old joinery. Little by little they developed their little music spot. The „Spielzimmer“ was developed. There the „Spielkinder“ – as they called themselves at the beginning – invited their friends and fans for partying and dancing. The party series “Spielkinder & Friendz” got one of the most famous parties in Hildesheim. The “Spielkinder” invited DJs from Hildesheim and environment.

Politics Of Dancing debuts on LOCUS to deliver his ‘Machines’ EP, backed by a remix from rising talent Rossi.

A longstanding figure within Paris’ bustling electronic music scene, David Matarasso, aka Politics Of Dancing, has grown to become a central name within the city’s house scene whilst making regular appearances at its world renowned venues such as Concrete and Rex Club. Also known under the alias S.M.A.L.L, the DJ, producer and label boss has released material across his career via the likes of Beste Freunde, Signatune Records, Djebali and Talman Records, plus a plethora of quality cuts via his own self-titled Politics Of Dancing imprint. Up next, late August welcomes a debut on FUSE’s newly launched label LOCUS as he delivers three fresh originals across his ‘Machines’ EP, with emerging London-based talent Rossi. stepping up on remix duties.

Lead track ‘Machines’ delivers an up-front cut as menacing basslines collide with crisp drum licks and infectious vocal hooks, before handing over to Rossi. as he lays the focus on trademark swinging rhythms and energetic grooves throughout his interpretation of the title production. Next up, ‘Sway’ strips things back and utilises a medley of icy hi-hats atop of resonant stabs and metallic drums, before rounding out proceedings with the hypnotic synth melodies and dubbed out atmospherics of ‘Field Effect’.

Making a splash with RS019 is a newcomer called Mallard. Discovered by Bradley after being front and centre for almost every RS dance since 2016, the South London based producer and multi-instrumentalist makes a serious first impression with his debut EP ' VERTE'.Currently studying Jazz Double-Bass at Trinity School of Music, Mallard's productions demonstrate a keen ear for groove with a level of musicality rarely heard in electronic productions. At just 20 years old, he has already developed a unique sound palette and prodigious production style set to make him a name we will only hear more of in the years to come.
This EP, at once varied in tone and tempo is held together by a strong sonic identity and an overarching artistic vision: from the morphing polyrhythmic percussion of 'Surface' to the shifting, heady pattern of 'Aquitaine' via the psychedelic breaks of 'Untitled' we are taken on quite the trip.Equally at ease on the dance-floor as it would be for an introverted headphone session, Mallard's first offering to the world via Rhythm Section is one to remember. The good Friedrich Nietzsche would have said about Soulphiction the following: Michel Baumanns music animates you in such a way because seeing as there is so much nature of every kind in the rhythm. We mean it in regards to his music. This soulfulness and warmth that he brings out from the machines is simply phat like nothing else. A real nature boy who never comes out, he seemingly is. Everything hidden inside of his mind, and channeled into his devices. Yeah yeah, it's okay, I'll open a window to air it out - Michel.

Independent from the breeze in the studio, these tones must be released into the world. Musik Krause takes it in. It's about time that the tangent Soulphiction/Jackmate - Jena is for some time now a spirit - and to get it together accordingly. The result of the 'krause-care' from 'philpot-ish' tones is delivered by Mr. Baumann in the form of five songs that are old-school yet modern. When these joints from DJ-Nerdkicker or for example Ben UFO are not sorted into the case, then the next 'Krause Dinner' will be a broom served with mayo.

Stereocalypse debuts on Multinotes with two "back to future" tracks that represent musically the ideal following up to their latest works. Retro-futuristic sound at its best.

Not much to say about the A side just have a listen and feel the things.

B for Breakbeat, on the B side we have this time 2 heavy Breakbeats, the first one is a very special edit and the second one is a emotional piano track that let you feel freedom, peace and gratitude.

Following up 'EP1', committing the label's best recent digital hits to wax, Defected Records deliver an EP of fresh house heat, previously unavailable on vinyl. Kicking off the A-Side Jack Back delivers a thunderous and self-assured house record with a powerful 4/4 groove and intoxicating vocal. Next up is Qubiko's remix of Sonny Fodera's 'To Love', which features a stunning vocal from Shannon Saunders and a bouncing bassline destined for the dancefloor.

Side B opens with a thumping beat and tightly-harmonised vocal delivered by the powerhouse partnership that is Ferreck Dawn and Robosonic, with their track 'In Arms'. Rounding of the release is Chez Moon's 'Midnight Love', with Rocco Rodamaal on remixing duties, making for an atmospheric and cosmic track. The spirit of Defected is captured on this release, with house music so good it just has to be heard on wax.

Italian producer and Fine Human Records label head Dino Lenny lands on Crosstown Rebels for the first time this November, bringing his distinct and personal style to the label on the absorbing Doctor, also featuring a remix from Nuiton. The haunting, emotive vocals of Dino impress throughout on Doctor, chugging groove moves alongside waves of dark electronics and panic-struck, devilish synth. A track crafted to capture the inner workings of Lenny’s mind, transforming them into a hypnotic piece. Nuiton remixes Doctor on the reverse, adding energy to the original with skipping hats and quirky arrangements, building tension that reaches an intense jazzy crescendo of percussion and brass to leave you in a headspin. On the digital release a dub version loses the voice but retains the mysticism. With almost 30 years of releasing records under his belt, Dino Lenny has naturally built an incredible back catalogue of remixes and collaborations. He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the business, yet his productions retain a unique style that is all his own. A true lover of the 80s, when he needs that extra touch he will add his vocals to the music, always trying to deliver something original that will stand the test of time, often opting for imperfect unique experience over precise emotionless never-ending loops. Alongside this, he has remixed huge names like Missy Elliott and Timbaland and has collaborated with legends including Madonna, Wu-Tang Clan, Seth Troxler and Dixon. Lenny has been named as “a wizard of electronic music” by the Chemical Brothers, played live with Underworld, released music on the likes of Crosstown Rebels sister label Rebellion, Innervisions, Diynamic, Cocoon & Correspondant, and is currently signed to Ellum. Constantly evolving his sound, Dino is unpredictable & eclectic.

It has been a while since Paul Kalkbrenner has released a single record. After four years and two succesful albums (platinum selling "Berlin Calling" and gold selling "Icke Wieder") it is a brand new track called "Das Gezabel" which will be released on his own Paul Kalkbrenner Musik label as a single in 2012. While being constantly out on the road Paul was always aware of the demand for new music produced by him. "Das Gezabel" will be out in August 2012 in vinyl and digital formats alongside a beautiful video shot at Ferropolis during one the few german open air shows. Musically the track continues where "Icke wieder" stopped and gives us a preview on the upcoming album which will be out in October 2012. "Das Gezabel" in it's pure fully instrumental version without any vocals shows us Paul's current approach in electronic club music with fine melodic lines combined with his classic beats.

Shaker Plates is back on Vinyl with an upcoming Berlin female Artist called Chroma. Her track "Pain" delivers a Vocal from Berlins female singer Sigrid Elliot. Clapping elements are arranged around this strong Voice and build it up to a club monster.

It´s a big honor that the former member and "Minister of Information" of Underground Resistance from Detroit Alan Oldham aka DJ T-1000 does a remix for this release. Living between Berlin and Detroit, Alan is a mastermind in electronic music and has pitched this track to a strong minimal "Detroit meets Berlin" Version.

The Gunman remix is a more dramatic sub bass story. With snipped parts of the Sigrid Elliot vocals, a volumized organ and FX sounds, Gunman gives you a blast for the dancefloor peak time.

Simon Beeston, a music lover from New Zealand who´s also living in Berlin, does a deep Remix. With drums and a nice sub bass, he´s showing his style.

Following on from The Local Beatnik’s standout release, Beyond Paradise enlist the expertise of one of Croatia’s finest Ilija Rudman to let loose ‘Sparks’, complete with remixes from Dennis Kane and Project Paradise.

Deep, brooding and powerful, Ilija channels that pent up dancefloor energy into the core of ‘Sparks’, with thumping bass synths and emotive pianos providing the basis of a 4x4 cut that works just as well a journey through your mind, as it will when those hallowed club doors open once again.

First up on remix duties, Dennis Kane gives a techier touch to proceedings with pulsing tones, snare rolls and space echo sweeps adding another dimension to the track before a subtle acid line reels you in even deeper.

Closing out the release, Project Paradise brings the vocal prowess of Terri Shaltiel to this Italo tinged, acid-laden remix.

The new Saint Petersburg based label is focused on underground sounding of house and minimal. This is the first release of the label and the debut of a new artist Matpri from Saint Petersburg. Four original house tracks with a shuffling drum beats and solid basslines will add a dose of positive energy to your mix.

Planet E are proud to present 'AW18 Collection', a 3 track EP from British producer Tom Flynn due September 14th. Drawing upon a broad and learned musical understanding, 'AW18 Collection' fuses disparate strands from the worlds of fashion, club culture and sound design to forge a highly atmospheric, singular release. 'Packard', the title of which is inspired by parties in the historic Detroit power plant of the same name, establishes an unrelenting energy from the get go. A bouncing kick lays the foundations for rolling synths, unnerving vocal samples and delicate piano refrains to wander. 'Anna' is an indulgent nod to the catwalk, marching with intent amidst immersive chords and subtle melodies. The B side hosts a trippy cut full of interplanetary glitches and melancholic harmonies. Drawing upon hints to the extraterrestrial, 'Marx' creates a dizzying swirl with glistening textures. Carl Craig was sold straight away: 'When Tom sent me his demo of 'Packard' I knew I wanted to release it on Planet E. The mix of looped electronics with soul of the piano brought me back to when I first heard the post-Disco classic 'Beyond the Clouds'. I can imagine the kids on The Scene rockin' hard to this.'

Drumcode has become a label synonymous with some of the most-cutting edge and forward-thinking techno over the last 20 years. Their artists include both emerging and established names, and one of those well recognised is Enrico Sangiuliano. Now announcing the very first concept album of his career.

iomorph is born. A very special concept album designed to take the listener on a journey of evolution. A musical adaptation describing how biological and technological advances over numerous generations of time have all started from the same first step in our own biological journey.

Divided into 4 parts, Organisms opens with atmospheric tones, gradually blending complex textures and timbres to begin the evolutional process. The beginning of this section combines full sounding arrangements before stripping it all back to basics. From here it dissolves into the atmosphere. Organisms then progresses into a break-beat influenced, down tempo track using synths to add complexity to the straight, broken rhythms.

Galactic, futuristic elements are found in both tracks in Cosmic Forces. Upbeat, groovy, electronic synths resonate, before 'Hidden T' brings the tension to get things pumped up with stratospheric swirls and twirls to lay down one of the most mind meltingly deep drops.

Metamorphosis is mysterious, its opening beat is a deep and piercing tone that sends the listener into a sensory awareness of their surroundings before breaking into a fully charged, techno track, with Enrico's trademark sounds and textures.

All evolution has an ending.

Two Probabilities shows the positive, starting out evocative and emotional, with a gentle harmony, gazing towards a 'New Dawn'. On the other side of the spectrum lies the negative. This is influenced with a rhythm that articulates the beat of death, mathematical, cold and metallic in texture, it shows the unsustainability of its nature, with a hectic, anxious break beat influenced ending.

Back Down On My Knees' is a raw house cut combining a pounding bass drum and clever percussion reminiscent of a late 00's New York sound with washed synths. I'm Amazed offers an ambient track lead by a simple piano interlaced with a field recording taken on a subway platform in New York.

On the other side Rubber Jam is a tough hardware jam with a floaty arpeggiated synth line. "here Will Be Blood rounds the EP out relying on percussion to drive the track with breakbeat and a heavy bassline.

For the first record of the new decade Outer Zone welcomes Modus’ triumphant return for this second part of his “Triple M” sequence.

Standing in direct contrast to the stasis much of modern life has been held in, this EP offers up an opportunity to vicariously enjoy a world, where the futuristic vistas that techno promised at its genesis seem present. Machinic cycles, looping escapism and understated funk are the axes in which this space is rendered, a space that for a moment allows us some respite from stillness.

To celebrate Steyoyoke's 7th Anniversary, we are releasing a 4 track EP - Anniversary 07 - in both digital and vinyl editions. A small showcase of some of Steyoyoke's best original cuts, this short release exists in the space between traditional and Steyoyoke's trademark Ethereal Techno, highlighting the talents of select artists on the roster.

The release begins with the mysterious and refined 'Cadence' by Soul Button. A strong, consistent baseline is paired with with echoing details that dance from the mid to higher layers, making this an enchanting introduction. Nick Devon follows on perfectly with his diverse track, 'The Moon'. Beginning with the same soothing echoes, he introduces layers that transform the track from a soothing melancholy to a compelling mix with a distinct harder energy. Clawz SG's track 'Alchemy' then brings a sharpness to the EP with a diverse range of percussive and synth elements that dip in and out, giving the track a dynamic quality. It is a track that maintains the listener's attention and could fit in on any techno floor. The EP is brought to a conclusion with a stunning mix from Dahu & JOBE, 'Inert', which set itself apart from the get-go with a mix of eclectic percussion and dynamic bass. Not afraid to experiment, it shows impeccable attention to detail as themes are introduced, pulled back, reworked, and re-introduced constantly throughout, giving a listener more with every replay.

This EP showcases some of the most dynamic points of Steyoyoke's past year, showing the ways in which Ethereal Techno can mold and adapt to always stay ahead of the curve.

The second release on Nothing But Nice comes once again from co-founder James Andrew. The ‘Mission Of Vision EP’ showcases the labels core identity; four cuts that transcend house, breakbeat and garage, made with the dance floor in mind.

Djebali and Jorge Savoretti combine to deliver their ‘Fraires’ EP on Infuse, accompanied by a remix from Stephan Bazbaz.

Two producers at the heart of today’s modern house and minimal scenes, Paris favourite Djebali and Argentinian DJ and producer Jorge Savoretti have grown to become two of the most consistent and impressive talents active within the scene today. With over thirty years of experience between them, releasing material via the likes of Freak’n’Chic, Raum…musik and Cadenza plus Djebali’s own self-titled imprint, the pairing now turn their attention to new ground as they make their collaborative debut on FUSE sister imprint Infuse this summer, offering up three fresh productions via their ‘Fraires’ EP alongside a remix from Tel Aviv’s Stephan Bazbaz.

The slow-blooming and hypnotic sonics of ‘101’ open the EP in style as the two talents merge sweeping synth lines atop of warped electronics and slick percussion shots, whilst Stephan Bazbaz’s remix ups the tempo and builds on the original with a combination of energetic builds and icy hats. On the flip, ‘Pigalle’ delves into a deep journey guided by a resonant lead line and hazy background murmurs, before closing with the classy ‘Devote Ville’ – a smooth and well measured production which oozes sophistication and quality from the opening minute.

The Story Itself

On the 12th of April 1961, Yuri Gagarin was launched into orbit for the first and - so they tell us - the last time. Upon returning to Earth, Yuri became a global hero, travelling the world to tell of his adventure.

Secretly, he was plagued by strange hallucinations and a persistent glow around his vision; a cornucopia of colour in a constant corona. In 1964 - following a silent coup by Leonid Brezhnev - Yuri was banned from embarking on further manned missions into space. At first fearing madness, the cosmonaut came to see these apparitions as a signal, an invitation, a welcoming beacon from a distant lighthouse blinking across the cosmic void.

On the 27th of March 1968, aided by trusted friends within the space program, Yuri Gagarin swapped places with another cosmonaut on a secret test flight and was once more blasted into outer space. Knocked unconscious by the extreme velocity of his experimental craft, Yuri awoke a mere 15 minutes later in view not of the rapidly shrinking Earth, but an entirely alien vista; he was elsewhere...

About Tony Neptune

Tony Neptune is a multi-media persona created by the Leeds-based artist and producer Sam Jefferies who, inspired by the narrative and musical legacies of early Detroit techno culture, aims to tell a complete story for the senses through a combination of image, sound and text. Asa member of the DimensionsDJ Directory three years running, some know Jefferies for his notorious DJ sets—whether he’s playing new wave or booty bass; as Tony Neptune or Yuri; solo or alongside Mark ‘Turbo’ Turner in another peak time marathon b2b, it doesn’t take long for crowds to catch on to his deep knowledge of all things riddled with Hi-Tech Funk and Soul. But this isn’t the only storm he’s cooking up: in his visual work, Jefferies uses oil paint to unveil the surreal and celestial adventures of the original cosmonaut and space pioneer, Yuri Gagarin, capturing every aspect of their dream-like surroundings with an eye devoted to detail and depth. This painting lies at the heart of his debut EP, Reflections on a Daring

Chris Stussy broke through in double quick time with some head turning house tracks. But what is important is that he has continued to back up that early promise years later with this EP on Moscow. He is now very much a key part of the underground with a sound that is all his own and has taken him to essential labels like Djebali, Rutilance, Eastenderz, Meta and, of course, PIV.

Indira Paganotto returns with her third Pooledmusic EP, featuring a pair of remixes from label boss Ian Pooley. Having made her debut in 2012 aged just 19, Indira has spent the intervening years honing her sound and exploring new approaches to music.
Currently based in Madrid, Paganotto's father was a DJ in Goa, where she spent a significant portion of her upbringing. Having grown up with her father's collection of trance, acid & psychedelic rock records, Paganotto's eclectic musical education has informed her music's individuality. Her 2014 solo EP 'Time Out Man' blended these inspirations into a pair of evocative house grooves. This development continues with Kashmir & Savannah, both of which find the 24-year-old producer in confident form. Ian Pooley provides a pair of his own trademark dancefloor-focused dubs to complete a package that confirms Paganotto as a new talent in the ascendancy.

Enzo Siragusa releases four alternative cuts from his Decade of Rave double album project, entitled The Lost Dubs. All lean towards the FUSE label head’s darker taste, and darker side of production.

It’s no secret that Enzo takes a significant amount of inspiration from his formative years immersed in London’s invigorating Jungle, Drum n Bass, and Hardcore scene of the early 90's. A dance floor you’d not only find yourself encased in music on but feel it from your core.

When in the studio, Enzo strives to emulate that feeling which you’ll heavily hear through the 'FUSE' back catalogue, and when on the dance floor during his sets.

For our 9th instalment, Holdie Gawn takes the lead and is delivering his first solo EP for Sylphe, while Micawber takes a break. On the A-Side, Holdie Gawn's natural habitat, we find Yborg, a 12 minute long piece of darker, glitched-up techno which moves slowly yet forcefully. Expanding into a terrain of bleeps and dissonant harmonies, ''Yborg'' number remains loyal to the twisted Sylphe electronics we have been used to. On the B side we have T & T, a rolling, broken beat swingy techno-house jam which grooves effortlessly and shows a different of Holdie. Wonky, bubbling basslines and stretched voices complete the mosaic of Holdie's the first B side. Our 9th release will be out in time for our 3rd birthday, around mid-late February.

Paul Ritch is no stranger to Drumcode and has returned with an outstanding single featuring three tracks that will dominate DJ sets. The first track 'Run Baby Run' entertains us with an arpeggiated chord sequence that is accompanied by percussion-like synth sounds before bursting into a thick-layered sequence of sound. The dark and dubby side of the single see's Paul's 'Astral' bring a funky sleazed out groovy track that also uses a discerning melody. 'Mind Insistence' is a dark 5am groove that will keep the dance floor swaying in the early hours with it's tripped out feel and syncopated percussion.

"When Alexander (Boddika) got in touch asking for some new fresh music I knew it was a really important step for me. Nonplus is a stable reference label in the Techno scene and it was a unique opportunity. I thought the open minded philosophy of the label would help me a lot and I could create more experimental works.I decided to produce the tracks in almost one take... turned on the synths and looked for the perfect range and character of sounds and spent some weeks recording it, finishing with some edits before the final mixing.The final results were more than expected. Harmonic Rain, the Ep main's track has a really special groove, with a main melody which is transposed and slightly altering it gives me a good feeling.The Ep feels to me like a complete journey itself. With peak time tracks, and more experimental and "warm up" music. Loops but not loops.
In summary, I'm really happy with this release and with the beginning of this musical relationship with Boddika and the Nonplus team."

Bart Skils returns to Drumcode with his third solo release, 'Shadowprint'. Consisting of Bart's famous rolling drums and bass rhythms he has crafted an EP that is exceptionally functional. With each track Bart has added character by introducing vocals, interesting melodies and deep percussion to keep it interesting.

The EP is made up of 3 peak time tracks that are eloquently put together. 'My Part Of Town' is a bit deeper from Bart and contrast's well to the rest of the EP with it's melodic bass line.

8bit co-founder Gorge is back on his label with his first own release in 1,5 years. After his collaborations with Markus Homm it was definitely time to 'start again'.

A year after the heartbreaking loss of 'brother' Scott Hardkiss, Gavin and Robbie Hardkiss release 1991 which was described by Magnetic Magazine as 'a throwback to that heady time as well as a timely loop into the future.' Reunited in the Bay Area in 2010, Gavin and Robbie produced an album that stands tall in the often repetitive world of electronic dance music. Named for the year the Hardkiss collective was formed, 1991 references the sounds and sentiments of their early rave days while exploring new funk and pseudo pop directions.

The whole package is rounded up by Stachy.DJ (a polish veteran who recorded with DJ Koze) closes the show bringing a hypnotic stomper to the table, a highly addictive dub version of 'Obiecany Raj' ('Promised Paradise') from one of the top Polish synth bands of all time. One year after the first release of These Eyes, André Hommen is back on his very own imprint with a two-track EP called 'Metropoli'.

Hommen, who created These Eyes to accompany underground electronic music with unique design and an uncompromising ethos, has established the label within the last 12 months.

'Metropoli' as title track is as catchy as some of Hommen's previous productions. It has been played out for a while and got featured in several key-playlists and podcasts (for example the latest Deep House Amsterdam podcast by Jonathan Kaspar, who will also appear on These Eyes this year).

B side 'Break Us' shows Hommen's love for slower and more experimental music. It has some sort of deepness and mystic throughout the track which is what he likes most.

It's getting a bit slower for the third release of André Hommen's These Eyes imprint as Marc Romboy delivers an outstanding Electronica track called 'Trapped In An Orbit'.

Romboy has been into the electronic music scene for over two decades, founded and built internationally respected dance-music labels and projects, never tiring of coming up with fresh and innovative ideas to push the limits of electronic sounds. He just released his 'Voyage De La Planete' album, which is pushing the boundaries between classical and electronic music to create both an emotional and atmospheric experience.

'Trapped In An Orbit' is coming with a lot of different electronic layers and might surprise throughout the track - as that's what makes it special. Lauer, who is one half of Tuff City Kids (with Running Back's Gerd Janson), delivers the remix on the B side which is a bit more club-orientated but still leftfield. Slow is the new fast.

Dino Lenny - Rec My Dream (A1): Legendary Italian DJ/producer Dino managed to create a track that pleases and suits you, but is kind of scary and threatening as well. The dark-jazzy pianos provide a very smooth and housy character, but the crescendo-like vibe leads to a darker place where more industrial and underground soundscapes take over. This title track is a hypnotical journey to different eras of electronic music with eighties-style German underground club sounds and a mesmerizing vocal atmosphere.

At the A2 spot you can find the vocal acapella to let yourself go.

Capoon remix (B1): Capoon is known for its darker approach with a hot pepper between the butt-cheeks. So it isn't very much of a surprise that Capoon focused on the darker side of the original track. Thriving on the success of their first release 'I Got Soul', they make sure to keep their fans satisfied with yet another club banger in this remix. Capoon jacked up the kicks and made sure bass and synths played a main role.

Rob Hes remix: Dutch DJ/producer Rob Hes switched up the whole thing. Rob makes sure from the beginning that this release will be heard in every kind of club, from house to banging techno. A smooth but very potent synth-loop takes you on a journey that could remind you of an old Pink Floyd record, just to blend in with a powerful kick-drum which gets stirred up with some clever breaks once in a while.

Artwork: The artwork resembles the whole EP perfectly. First of all, you can see the hidden face, which is a direct reference to the first album cover (CDAR001). It's colourful and bright at first, just like the original Dino Lenny track. But the more you watch it, the darker and rough it gets, just like the progression Capoon and Rob Hes made with their remixes. This time the artwork is made by Belgian artist Xanthe Lahousse. And last but not least this edition is a limited edition with a grey marble vinyl.

For this spectacular release, we have the pleasure to bring you an amazing four track selection called Eden EP by Giuseppe Cennamo, which also includes a fantastic remix by the Romanian artist Dubphone. For the A side, we have Eden first, a beautiful minimal house blend with a strong hypnotic base that makes the listener float with its soft female vocals and texture pads in the backend. The second track is Strong Bodies and in it we can fully appreciate a techier approach with a groovy low-end construction, which gets perfectly complemented with several percussive articulations and of course, some delicate synth sounds in the background too. As first track of the B side, we have Dubphone's remix of Strong Bodies that relies on a magnificent low-end with a truly peculiar night club sound that can easily get you into a fantastic trippy vibe alongside the several and complex fx elements that distracts you constantly from the base elements. The second track from this side is Visionary, and it presents a more joyful base vibe than the previous tracks with some delicate deep elements that creates a subtle and refined sound that reflects the top-notch quality of the whole release.

The mighty Jacob Korn continues the series with the aptly titled "EP2", a collection of tracks that underline Jacob's talent to produce Dance Music with appeal for both the main floors as well as deep house connaisseurs.
