Paolo Mantini is back on Rebirth with the new composition 'Jump Over The Hill'.
Musician, poli-intrumentalist Paolo studied double bass at the Conservatory of Brescia (Italy) and attended Electronic Music Composition at the Berklee College of Music. He is also behind Clockbeats and he boasts a worldwide network of professionals within the Music Industry.

Paolo's debut single in 2017, 'Next Generation', remixed by Pépé Bradock, has been played and appreciated worldwide, with enthusiastic support. 'Jump Over The Hill' is another sublime piece of music, exploring rooted disco and funk, with a contemporary dancefloor swing, perfect to really get a party going. A killer mix of rolling drums, wobbling (rubber) bass line, jazzy chords and infectious piano lines.

We are very happy to have Dego and Kaidi aka 2000black on this project. They produce a timeless remix with their unique futuristic beats and a mix of jazz, soul and electronic vibes. Glenn Astro delivers a delightful modern jazz-synth-funk influenced version, and, included here, is also the sought after Shield re-edit of 'Next Generation' featuring a live drum played by Francisco Mora, known for his collaboration with Innerzone Orchestra and The Detroit Experiment, heavily supported by Gilles Peterson.

Soul Clap launch their new club music imprint with the duo's first EP of 2019. Two party tested instrumentals filled with that signature electronic funk ready to work any freaky dancefloor.

'Jupiter Crush' takes us on a ride around the moons of the gas planet, sound tracked by the sounds of Roland's Jupiter 8 over a broken-beat house groove. While 'Natural Bliss' brings us back to earth, with warm percussion setting a gentle mood, before evolving into a feel-good, disco influenced house joint.

Rounding up five years of Heist also means we're releasing our fifth version of the Round Up. Last year's edition was full of highlights with Fouk remixing Nachtbraker's anthem 'Hamdi' and Alma Negra going all tribal on Nebraska's 'Big plate chicken'. This year, we've seen a lot of new faces on the label, which has brought us a fresh set of combinations and a couple of really nice revisions of the tracks that made our year.

First up is Detroit Swindle's take on Heist's latest signing Hugo Mari. They chose to remix 'Change ur ways', beefing up the dreamy original. They focus on a simple but effective grainy groove and added a twist on the bass to give a more 'warehouse' feel to it and play around with the lovely detuned keys and vocal chops of the original to great effect.

Alma Negra show you just how loose their limbs are with a Rhodes filled version of Kassian's Acid surprise 'Bad Habit', while the full B side is dedicated to Pitto's personal take on Adryiano's classic house track 'Me and you and her'. His version takes the track into a new territory that lies somewhere between balearic and dreamhouse. Whatever it is, it's got a lovely vibe where the vocal is complemented by airy pads and a touch of acid.

Kassian on their turn, have done a great job on taking Pitto's 'Treat me like a fool' into 4x4 house territory. They've opted for a sub heavy club track where reverbed hits and the vocal take turns over a solid house groove. Next up on the C-side is Adryiano. He's picked Detroit Swindle's moody-but-heavy album track 'Cut u loose' and does what he does best: a steady and nicely distorted filtered house groove that packs quite a punch. The final track of this compilation really is a great pair of artists: Hugo Mari and Alma Negra. Hugo takes the tropical warmth of 'This is the place' and adds a subtle punch with a smart percussion loop and some added pressure on the low end.

German producer, DJ and label-owner Phonk D, who has risen fast to stardom in 2018, is back once again on NDYD Records with his sequel-release Disco Goodies Pt.2, an outstanding four-tracker that should instantly do the trick to boost his career even further.
From Talking Vintage, an quite energetic floor-filler with a feel-good sound thanks to the percussions that will last in your memory for some time, to Gettin Down, a homage to the French 70s on the southern shores of the Cote dAzur, the charismatic producer keeps the level at the very top of the game. The b-side complements the funky ride with the pumping disco-sensation Can Do It while Disco Africana, with its lovely afro disco-touch rounds up the picture of the 30th release on the emerging German label from the city of Frankfurt.

In 1980, the 9th Creation began working on new music at a Modesto studio, South East of Stockton. The studio was suspiciously cheaper than all of its competitors. After recording weeks of material, the band discovered the reason. 'We didn't know that the guys that were running the studio were drug dealers,' A.D. Burrise recalls. 'There was a big raid.' All the studio's master tapes were confiscated by the DEA. J.D Burrise unsuccessfully sued the DEA to recover the tapes but to no avail. Luckily Mike Micenheimer saved cassette mix-downs of some of the group's songs from those sessions. 'A Step Ahead' is the the 9th Creation's lost album. 8 unreleased songs of pure soul, funk, disco and boogie.

We are proud to present this lost album for the first time. The ultra talented Jacob Arnold also wrote the complete story of the band that we are presenting with never seen before pictures.

Finally the CD version includes bonus tracks from the Love Crime 12', the Mellow Music 7' and 3 previously unreleased (rough) demos.

The mysterious maestro of the cut and paste delivers two mighty fine reworks. While never losing sight of that classic Disco feeling, Love Drop always manages to push things a little further and produce a frenzy on the dance floor, while creating some serious Disco heat in the process. Dancers you have been warned!

FINA co-owner Corbi makes his long-awaited debut on the label with three tracks of his playful, inventive house
sounds. He has made a notable impact in just a couple of years, with EPs and edgy, in demand edits on The
Bricks, Music For Freaks and Morris Audio.

Opener 'Samurai' continues in that rich vein, with seven sublime minutes of dreamy house. It's awash with
gorgeous chords and vocals, adding to the escapist effects of a truly lush track. The smooth 'Access Serenity'
slows things down, with loose drum tumbles, summery and Balearic string sounds and exotic, tropical percussion
that take you direct to the beach. Last of all, 'Warp' with J33 reworks a cult classic with driving, elastic drums and
bass and the original's deadpan vocal style. Add in curious whistles and the whole perfectly off-balance groove is
sure to get big reactions.

After a spell on the disco sidelines, Dublin label Fatty Fatty Phonographics are back with the 2nd instalment of their 'International Disco Mafia' series.

Extending its reach around Ireland and then again over the sea to Italy, it begins with a 13 minute disco trip by a young man called The Crown Prince of Waterford, with the wirey Catholic white boy spirit of Walter Gibbons in his veins.
The immortally titled 'Getting Fingered On The Waltzers' is overloaded with fizzing disco-rock dynamics, crazy organs and driving endless drum breaks that keep on pushing you all the way to an inevitable, gushing disco climax. Phew!

On the flip we have another Irish up and comer, Island Times, and his chunky disco driver 'Together'.
Just like his debut on the first volume, this one comes up trumps with a big, drum driven sound and a loose, live feel.

Last but not least, we're travelling up along the Adriatic from Trieste with Umberto Lumber, who takes a classic slow jam and pitches it down Baldelli style to a sweet cosmic sludge.
Perfect as a mood setter or as a spaced out bump and grind to finish the night off, it rounds off this 3 tracker in some style...

There have been millions of typical disco edits in the last years. But there is so much more interesting music from the late 1970s and early 80s yet to bubble its way to the surface. One of those lesser explored fields is the crazy funky side of Germany's underground disco and new wave from that period. At the time, many German bands were trying to make their own version of English and American styles. After Kraftwerk and Can had started to use the German language in a cool, new way, many bands that followed in their steps experimented with German new wave. Most of these bands didn't reach a bigger audience. Their records never got pressed to more than 300 - 500 copies as they were a number of years ahead of the huge commercial explosion of German pop in 1984: The NDW aka 'Neue Deutsche Welle", with Nena's humongous hit 99 Red Balloons. The bands featured on the compilation released their music before the NDW hype and later broke up. Plenty of these early bands are best forgotten but if you dig deeper you'll find the gems, bursting with style and attitude. And that's just what Toy Tonics heads Mathias Munk Modica & Kapote did. They hit gold.

Ivan Neville's 'Dance Your Blues Away' was originally released in 1979 on Cookies and has been a much sought after wax ever since. This is the first official re-release since the original pressing. 'Dance Your Blues Away' is one of the great escapism records that fills dancefloors across the globe with its infectious bassline and uplifting lyrics. On the flip the Mighty Zaf from Love Vinyl works the great instrumentation of the original song and adds an extra dimension to give it a new life in 2018.

NYC label HOMAGE continues a hot streak with their third project from UK producer JVXTA (pronounced Jux-tuh). After an excellent debut on his label Hardmatter, JVXTA gifts HOMAGE with four NY-inspired deep house cuts. "Brawn" is an immediate tone setter. The banging stand-out made waves overseas prior to it's online premier thanks to Cinthie, who pressed it to dub plate and played it as the opening track at her Boiler Room set in Berlin. The remaining tracks offer a look into JVXTA's unique tastes, and listeners will find themselves lost in quick-fire deep jazz, dreamy 80s tinged house, and a rolling tribal cut that we wished never ended. Serious selectors take note, HOMAGE is not messing around, and this is a project that you'll reach for again and again.

What an immense year it's been for Alex 'Kiwi' Warren. After a string of beguiling cuts on the likes of Futureboogie, Disco Halal and 17 Steps, he returns to Correspondant with a fittingly beautiful full label debut. The cosmic results speak for themselves... Four precision originals, one turbo charged remix: flavours and essences range from the rippled tubular arpeggio and Balearic pull of 'Condor' to the slo-mo struts and shimmering disco twinkles of 'Tifock' via the peppy Latino kick and harmonies of 'Vicuna'. Complete with a total euphoric meltdown from the ever consistent Rex The Dog in the form of his strident trance-tickled re-thump of 'Condor', this is undoubtedly Kiwi's biggest release to date... Cordial Recordings are happy to introduce the extremely talented Harlem based Preachermann to our family with his debut release on vinyl. 'Familiar To Me' is the song that helped to kick start the label nearly four years ago, but we were waiting for the right time to release this uptempo soulful inspirational piece of work on vinyl. The right time being that we now have an album recorded by Preachermann and this will be released in 2019. 'Familiar To Me' was recorded in New York with the highly respected Fred Ones at the production desk. 'Lucky' on the B side is the demo version of a song that was recorded in London earlier this year. Preachermann is an exciting new prospect that is expected to blow up in 2019!

Hostal La Torre gives no credence to the celebrity culture that exists elsewhere in Ibiza. Once through it's doors, the sun is the only star, as La Torre strives to protect the intimacy and magic that Ibiza was built upon. Those who witness its jaw-dropping sunsets and experience their eclectic and pioneering music policy will tell you there's no place like it.

Last year saw La Torre launch the first edition of their compilation, which went on to be named one of Resident Advisor's top 5 mixes of 2016. Compiled by Mark Barrott and Pete Gooding, both integral to La Torre's musical identity and the wider Balearic scene. Tucked away in a secluded spot on the west coast of the island, Hostel La Torre reinvents the Balearic spirit pioneered by Alfredo Fiorito at Amnesia and José Padilla at Café del Mar in the early 80s, carving the footprints of a new and inspiring avant-garde scene in Ibiza's next chapter.

Amsterdam-based producer and DJ William Djoko has announced his new EP 'Whiplash', on his brand new imprint, DJOKO.

His latest release follows the critically acclaimed reception of his stomping single 'OMG' on seminal New York house label Strictly Rhythm in 2017, a feature on the lead release from Loco Dice's Love Letters LP and a remix of Cassius on Ed Banger last year. Whiplash EP is self-released on his newly incepted label, Djoko, an independent platform for William to showcase his fluid, eclectic and continually evolving style as a producer.

The four-track selection varies in style and tempo, from the motoric, muscular groove of dancefloor weapon Whiplash, to the funk-inflected disco house jam Bernice, whilst rooted within his distinctive synthesizer and drum-heavy blueprint. Whiplash features vocals recorded by William himself, in his own words: "Everytime you feel down and out WHIPLASH/ Everytime you wanna go out WHIPLASH/ Everytime the money's out WHIPLASH".

A Hundred Birds Orchestra will release a new maxi single which is cover version of Stevie Wonder's 'All I Do (Cleptmaniac Remix)'. The vocalist, Yoshinori Monta, is 67 years old Legendary vocalist in Japan.

A Hundred Birds Orchestra is the brainchild of respected Japanese DJ Yoku, A Hundred Birds is an ambitious live collective, performing across Japan since 1996. Already a popular festival orchestra, the group got a taste of international success in the year 2000 when overseas debut 'Batonga' was released on Francois Kevorkian's Wave Music. Fronted by Yoku, who acts as conductor at live shows and keeps the set running continuously like a DJ mix, the band perform an engaging mixture of covers and original material.

Fred Ventura is the next artist to whom we dedicate a 'Greatest Hits & Remixes' record.

The Italian was one of the biggest stars of the Italo Disco wave in the 80s. With titles like - The Years (Go By)', - Leave Me Alone', - Wind Of Change' and many more, Fred celebrated great successes.

Even today he continues to produce Italo Disco music.

This triple pronged battle weapon from Cowboy Rhythmbox takes is inspiration from a wealth of disparate elements, the brutal drum machine swagger of early Chicago house, the murky world of 1980's video arcades, the bleeps of Sheffield, arcane home computing documentaries recorded to VHS, public access TV, yes there really is something here for everyone.

Proof that there is joy in repetition, a wonderfully eccentric number with a deadpan vocal hook that wraps itself around a killer combination of sub bass, freestyle beats and deranged reversed elements.

Vodonik:
A stark, glacial rave beast, very much a reaction against Cowboy Rhythmbox's usual maximal approach. This is stripped-down-to-the-bone body music that will work in the most cavernous of rave palaces or the most intimate seedy basement club.

Reissue from this incredible disco-funk album, originally released in 1985 on Engineered For Sound. The original is impossible to get now and goes for $$$ on ebay and the likes. A total must for those into Dam-Funk, James Pants and the likes. Comes with reccommendations and write-ups from Dam-Funk and Nite Jewel on the front (in the form of a sticker - placed on the plastic protection sleeve) TIP!!

Limited Hand-Stamped Vinyl

Lehultsub is dedicated to DJ-friendly flips, chops and spins, brought to you on a limited edition of hand-stamped white labels. The A-Side introduces Tony Rainwater, who shows us his straight up approach to editing: Find an obscure sample, speed it up, make it hit. The second track on this side, "Let's Celebrate Less Hats" loops the dance floor in a frenzy. Tony will return for a full 12-inch on Lehult early 2017. The B-side, "My Love 4 U Will Neva Die" by Lucky Charms has been played by all of the Lehult crew for a year already and has been requested over and over ever since. It's rugged, curveball approach catches the crowd by surprise and makes for some unique dance floor moments.

Just in time for the summer holidays Bordello A Parigi presents to you in cooperation with Mothball Record from Down Under: Hot Girls Of Italo Disco the repress! For the first volume we selected this two well known Italian diamonds. Our in house craftsmen Flemming Dalum and Hysteric delivered DJ friendly edits on top which makes this release a definitely must have! Due high demand of the first pressing on pink vinyl we decided to come up with a limited repress on black vinyl one year later. Act fast!

NYC's Disco powerhouse West End Records should need no intro. The home of too-numerous-to-list club classics for over 30+ years is still impacting today on what we know to be club culture. The label started by one Mel Cheren (RIP) with assistance from Larry Levan and more way back in 1976 is still held in such high regard today with it's catalogue constantly being played, rediscovered, reinterpreted and loved by waves and waves of new fans and admirers.
'The West End story Vol. 4' is an essential overview of this most iconic of labels and some of it's more 'under the radar' output, following on it's from it's predecessor the quality bar is obviously set extremely high, one only has to look over the tracklist to see the names and titles that are included! Rare and overlooked cuts from Sparque, Debbie Trusty, Barbara Mason, Ednah Holt and more make up 4 joyous sides of essential forward looking post Disco classics - We're talking late 70's, early 80's, synths, mega overdubs, left-field arrangements and anything and everything in-between.
A truly golden era of dance music history, names like Tom Moulton, Tom Savarese and more make up some of the talent featured on this flawless selection of goodies. Oh, and for the record (no pun intended) these are all the extended mixes, 12" versions and special cuts, all killer - no filler! All tracks featured re-mastered, re-pressed and re-released with the permission of and in conjunction with West End Records, New York City / BMG.

'New Kind', one of the more direct moments of dancefloor pleasure throughout Gabe Gurnsey's acclaimed debut album, 'Physical', is expanded on for this digital package. The 'Extended Dub' stretches out the original's tight groove in a pleasingly baggy fashion that recalls the experimental club dubs pioneered by Trevor Horn, Martin Rushent and Shep Pettibone.

Back to the future, and enigmatic new producer Fall Forward delivers a smooth, rave tinted rework that is guaranteed to thrill the strobe-lit, sweat-drenched club crowd that inspired the original LP. An additional dub of the remix places the focus squarely on it's clean, irresistible acid bassline.

With a knack for crafting up-front, jacking house music, Danish producer Niles Cooper proves he's right at home with the Super Tuff family. Just after his first release on his own Pale Springs imprint, his follow-up EP for Brooklyn's Super Tuff appropriately pays homage to its NYC influences. The title track "House Gospel" is a heartbreaking peak hour track full of old-skool NYC garage flavor. It is impressively followed by a remix from Berlin's Black Loopsia certified deep house belter. On the B-side, "Floor Juuc" is a rolling early morning chugger with a bassline reminiscent of "I Get Deep." Rounding out the record, Cooper shows his versatility with "If We Try We Can Start Anew" jumping into darker DnB territory with well-cut breaks and moody ambient chords reminiscent of Burial. Rudy's Midnight Machine - La Cadenza EP
The Five track EP kicks off with a slinky jazz funk, balearic mover entitled "Camera Dans La Nuit" that weaves the influences of Wally Badarou, and early Brit Funk bands such as Freeez and Light Of The World into a melodic affair that could've come straight out of the summer of 1981. In fact the second cut ("Une Vie Elegante") wouldn't have been out of place on Level 42's Early Tapes if Wally Badarou had taken said band to sunny climes to record it.
The B Side eases us in with the phasing pads and circling arpeggios that we've come to expect from Rudy's Midnight Machine. Taking more of a Pat Metheny influence and combining it with a steady early 80s Jazz Funk feel ,which is all underpinned by Robin's thumb bass line.
It's the bass that get's the main feature in the middle cut on the B Side. "Secret Garden" is a melodic and reflective track with bold bass guitar melodies being held up by the ebb and flow of piano arpeggios. The finale, entitled "Shifting Sands", harks back to the previous two EPs with more electronic synth bass and drum machine textures, with a guitar solo giving us the required organic relief.
With early DJ support from Hunee this release is set to be the sound track of the summer.

Munich based Slam City Jams kicks off 2019 with their 5th release. Label heads Rhode & Brown gather four of their favorite artists from around the world to remix last year's successful 'Wave 100 EP'.
