Repping one of the United States' oldest and most beautiful cities, St Augustine Florida, Ancient Deep are Little Bill and Dorian The Percussionist. Their music is no stranger to Soul Clap's DJ sets and after some careful A&Ring and development we are very proud to present their "Hard To Fall EP" on Soul Clap Records. Opening up the record is the title track "Hard To Fall" featuring the vocalist Cry No Mas. Its a deep and gentle rub thats smooth as butter! "Le Freq ft Gia Scola" flips rhythm into an swung out groove that feels both deep and tribal, perfect for casting spells or just expressing yourself through movement. Then last but certainly not least is the true dance floor work out of the record called "Arizona Heart". This cut is a deep bomb and detonates like one each time its dropped, take a listen and you're sure to understand.

BLACK BONES return, and it's no surprise they're 3 for 3, as another back-breaking digging session has unearthed some sacred remains, ready for modern dancefloor re-animation !

Elevate Melodies are back with four toe-tapping, finger-snapping, dancefloor slaying heaters, all on wax.

Side 1 takes off with the Griffes' remix of Jay Airness' She Staying', all sumptuous keys, sun dappled strings and peak-time beats propelling the track ever forward. Venice Beach then takes on Sly Moore's seismic Muoosic', dropping the tempo and creating a super low-slung slab of electro funk, one for the 100bpm crew.

On the B side, Lord Funk takes on Black Les Grues De Nantes' from Victorius, turning it into a jazzy workout with slap-bass, chopped up vocals and dusty vinyl crackles giving it a classy 90s feel. And rounding out the selection is New York DJ and producer P-Sol who applies his midtempo skills to Law and Theory' from label boss Jay Airness, creating an atmospheric groove with some real funk and jazz flourishes.

In this oversharing era, uncommon is for an artist to choose to remain in total anonymity. Even for the Easytiiger teamwork, the real persona behind the Model Nice act is still a complete mistery - actually not a problem when the sound speaks for itself. The debut EP 'Nice To Meet You' arrives with four raw dance burner gems, including a futuristic arp killer remix from the lemon-fanta guy, Pépe, for the song 'Cravo Amargo'.Besides the rough-shaped aspect of the sound, this EP reveals a very sharp and sophisticated production, with complex element layer works that could perfectly fit as the soundtrack for a Blade Runner microcosm built inside of a night club. 'Nice To Meet You' invites you to this journey through a particular soothing world, surrounded by a complex & confessional mood without saying... well, a single word.

Baptiste Letertre is Ringard and comes from Rennes, Britanny's biggest city with a strong electronic music culture. Ringard has a label called Dance Around 88 because he was born in 1988. Ringard released 8 vinyl records. "Lacrima Rossa" is his first 12" outside his own label so it's a great pleasure for us to have him on board. Ringard music is deep but raw, woolly, melancholic yet emotional. Think soulful techno, steamroom slo-mo, warehouse heat and euphoric minimal. Morphine electronics at its best with amazing strings and killer frequencies like Lobster Theremin meeting Boards Of Canada in a fantasy balearic island. In french, Ringard means tacky or outdated. It has never sound so cool being Ringard!

Based in Colombia's capital, Bogotá, Felipe Gordon's sound is testimony that both challenges and reinvigorates the burgeoning colombian house movement. His statement is built of resonances inspired by other decades, Bogotá, cold, streets and messy youth. It's not surprising when we hear pianos and classic acid house lines paired with jazz samples and funky bass lines. His ability to mix this complex sounds into club music has made Gordon into a renowned and prolific producer (Nomada, Toy Tonics, W&O Street Tracks, Sampling As An Art). One to watch. Nuff said. Die Mischung von Dub und Techno gibt's ja schon eine Weile. Aber wie der gute JPatterson sie anrührt, erfüllt alle Kriterien für das, was man gemeinhin als frisch und spannend bezeichnet. Seine rustikalen Grooves stehen für draufgängerische Tanzbarkeit in waschechter Prog-a-Dub Manier, der Klang seiner Trompete für eine Gefühlsintesität, die es in der digitalen Musikwelt so nicht gibt. Das zentrale Element von Elevator ist aber die Stimme - bzw. die ansteckende Lässigkeit, die sie verbreitet. Mit der Dub Version liefert uns JPatterson einen in Rhythmus und Melodie gebannten Sommertag. Es wird tatsächlich noch spannender, denn eine handverlesene Meute aus dem Acker-Umfeld hat Elevator geremixt. The mix of Dub and Techno is not exactly new. However, JPatterson found a way to combine these genres in a way that checks all the boxes to be classified as fresh and exciting. His rustic Prog-a-Dub grooves burst with reckless danceability, the sound of his tumpet has an emotional intensity that simply doesn't exist in the digital music domain. But the catchiest element of his track Elevator is yet another one: It's his voice and its contagious casualness. The Dub Version of this track is a bright summer day turned into rhythm and melody. It gets even more exciting than this, as a hand-selected group of party heads from the Acker family has remixed Elevator. Timboletti turned it into a slow, delirious afterhour groove (digital only). Dole & Kom redesigned it into an understated anthem. And Mollono.Bass created an energetic rhythm environment for the weightless trombone that feels like it's vibrating right in middle between the original and the Dub Version of Elevator.

Munk is the project of Gomma label founder Mathias Modica ("Germany's most interesting electronic music label' The NME). Munk is best known for his collaborations with Rebolledo from Pachanga Boys (Surf Smurf), James Murphy LCD Soundsystem (Kick out the chairs), Asia Argento (Live Fast Die Old) and club hits like Down in L.A. and La Musica. He co- produced the albums of Gomma bands WhoMadeWho and Moullinex. There is already a big buzz around Munk right now: The pre-single Southern Moon went on top of the Beatport house charts. DJs like Todd Terje, Shit Robot, Tensnake and Disclosure are playing it. Also Happiness Juice (and its superb video) is all over the blogs right now. Munk's latest remix of Lana Del Rey's West Coast went on No.1 of Hypemachine after it's release in June 2014 and is one of the most blogged remixes of this summer. The new album Chanson 3000 is the 4th Munk album. It was recorded in Berlin - where Mathias and his new vocalists live. As usual Mathias' music doesn't fit in any categories. It's a mixture of 90ies Electronica and House with New Wave, 70ies Jazzfunk, Indie Disco and his love for songwriters like Burt Bacharach, Quincy Jones, Trevor Horn. Mathias is a classically trained musician. His dad (a composer of contemporary classical music) taught him instruments since the age of five. That's why Modica's way of producing is so different: He mixes 'real' instruments (he plays piano, synths, bass, saxophone, guitars, drums) and new digital techniques.

Detroit enigma Sharif Laffrey makes a return to Paramida's Berlin-based Love On The Rocks imprint with 'Pony EP'. The two track EP marks his second release with the label (following 'Key Jam (A.C.I.D.)') and his third release in three years - something of a roll for Laffrey who typically allows years to pass between each outing. A-Side: 'PONY J.A.M.' Over 9 minutes of what sounds like nineties 4/4 Indian acid-house bass music - in the best way. Surprising vocals & a healthy 3 minute lead in. B-Side: 'PONY ROGER' If the pony you were riding on the A-Side was galloping through a grassy meadow - this pony heads into a dark cave. If the A-side is The Never Ending Story then the B-side is The Dark Crystal. But with Prince instead of Bowie. Sharif Laffrey has been playing records and making music for 20 long hard years. Born in Detroit, Michigan - he's worked on the line checking camshafts for Chryslers & at Submerge for Mike Banks - at the same time. He toured Asia with Juan Atkins and once had to chase a grown man through the streets at night, who had crawled into his living room through an open window. An active member in Detroit's early rave scene, Sharif remembers booking all foreign gigs with something he calls a fax machine.

Lagaffe Tales starts 2018 with an anticipated collaboration with the Icelandic artist ILO that has been some years in the making. With an amazing track record and fantastic edits over the years we are honoured to finally have had the chance to release him.

From 1977 this double-header is an Eastern themed, moog driven oddity from the mysteriously monikered Kamel Oil Company. Written by the legendary Bob Azzam, Eddie Barclay (founder of Barclay Records) & Greek record company owner Antoine Flamaritis, 'Mustapha' is an exotica soaked orchestral monster with choir vocals and string arrangements that only the big boys could call in. This is a serious left-field nugget from the vaults of one of the biggest majors, one ends up thinking - 'how did this come about!'. On the flip-side we have 'Petrolo En Bruto', which is the real gem here, undoubtedly this one will appeal to fans of the far flung reaches of world music and psych, even those of you who dig the various flavours of Funk from around the globe. A truly special and unique record here, often sought after by the deepest of the crate diggers and obscure sound searchers on a promo 45, this rare EP now sees a fully legit reissue. Made in conjunction with Above Board distribution and RCA this reissue is sourced from their vaults using original materials and remastered and repressed to the highest standard for 2018 and featuring all original 1977 RCA label artwork.

Next up on Yoruba is this split release. Glasgow's Vince Watson invites us to a new dimension with his contribution. 'Another Rendezvous' says it all; atmospheric and carried by simple chords that float over the four to the floor pulse. Think movement and formation. Depending on your relationship with the universe, one might be able to feel the colours of this track, greens and blues. Pensive with just enough edge to secure a commitment from the seasoned DJs ear, this one is steady with a sexy incline that holds you through to the other side. Come ride. It's bold to build a song around a steel drum and a West African shekere, but that's where it starts with Dakota's 'Make it Better'. A gorgeous soulful house track featuring the vocals of Dakota and Osunlade's vocals layered and arranged behind and throughout. The groove is a rich and well-constructed song with carefully considered lyrics that speak of longing, praise and caution. Listeners hear the echoes of Latin accents that call us into to reflection and flight. Surrender your hands in the air for this dancer friendly love gem that stretches beyond cliché lyrics. Rudy returns to Faze Action Records with an all-new collection of atmospheric and evocative tropical sounds. Last August saw the release of the By Nature EP that encapsulated the steamy and exotic textures of the Balearic sound.
This time, Midnight Safari takes up where on the beaches of Formentera, where the last EP left us. This time setting sail on a Midnight Safari with Marimba's and chugging rhythms underpinning sophisticated Piano' melodies. Following this we drop anchor and appreciate the evening breeze of In The Air with its haunting 'Cello, endless drifting arpeggio's and tropical percussion with a hint of North Africa. Reach Backless points the way squarely to the dance floor with chunky drums and synth bass, synth hooks galore and that piano solo that launches into starry evening skies. It's back down to earth with the settled quiet bass guitar harmonics of Windchimes before heading into the more soulful and synth melodic territory of Solar Plex.

Unsurprisingly, Richard Galling, does indeed hail from Milwaukee, having released disco inspired jams since about 2012. With his stuff getting plays on the likes of Beats In Space, he got his name out early. His latest offering is this single that features two original tracks and some remixes too. '303 features the eponymous bass machine all over this deep, arpeggio-heavy tech-disco jam, 'Organ' swaps the 303 for a classic Robin S-style house organ, and 'Prophet' adds some big room bass. Also included is a Prophet version of 'Clear Water", a real late 80s, Shep Pettibone-style, Latin house joint. Luke Solomon's Body Edit, is absolut Dancefloor HEAT !!!!

Hailing from Helsingborg but living in Berlin since 2012, swedish street artist and electronic musician Erik Jaahalli releases his debut on Borft. With smudgy analog romantic morning theme tracks bordering between chicago house, detroit techno and european new beat influences. But what youre hearing is geographically the sound of Lichtenberg Berlin now and more specifically the morning vibe at the private continous party Domestic Affairs. Expectations is an extended player from minimalist disco outfit Harvey Sutherland and Bermuda. The second release for Sutherland's own Clarity Recordings brings his Bermuda project into sharp focus - six tracks spanning Harvey's influences from the West Coast to West End Records.
Recorded with bandmates Graeme Pogson (drums) and Tamil Rogeon (electric strings), Expectations follows last year's stomping label debut single Priestess/Bravado.
The EP includes a long-awaited studio version of live favourite Clarity, uptempo burner Coast 2 Coast and a moment of spiritual introspection with Spiders. The title track offers glimmers of the Doobies and the 'Dan a sign of things to come from the Melbourne producer and his unique trio.

We've been huge fans of Tim's work since the release of his first self-titled EP on Astrolab. His analogue sound has been described as both 'Death Mulch' and 'Rare Gloom'. For his second Work For Love twelve, he continues the journey into dark spaces with four more deep synth freakers from his Fish Island School of Synthesis Studio.

After releases on esteemed labels including Emotional Response, World Unknown, Bird Scarer, Hoga Nord, Rotters Golf Club (as The Asphodells with Andrew Weatherall) and his own label 'Crimes of The Future' which he runs with Scott Fraser, his debut album 'Where is the Champion' was released earlier in the year to critical acclaim. Tim will continue to push forward and we feel privileged to see him return for a WFL round two.

For years Nathan Church has been cutting up floors in his native Bilbao. Recently the Basque man's attention has turned from the Dj booth to the studio. Under his WLDV (We Love Dolce Vita) this Iberian electronic inspiration has cast long shadows and brightened rooms with his blend of horror score intensity and disco exuberance. WLDV arrives at the Bordello with a four tracker of serious intent. Sepulchral and sinister synthlines characterise A Dying Feast, nowhere more than in the haunting samples and clean drums of 'A Bucket of Blood'. Cold chords gleam with icy menace while crisp claps punctuate the entrancing funk of 'Danza Macabra'. Ecclesia toys with set parameters, exploring what lurks in the twilight between terror and titillation. This flirtation with the divine and the profane is plain to hear in the uneasy elegance and uplifting elation of 'Far, Far Away', a work of steady kicks, unsettling extracts and soaring strings. For the label's 50th release, Emotional Rescue returns to the music of Woo to close a trilogy of reissue collaboration albums, in A La Luna. Following Whichever Way You Are Going (1982) and Into The Heart Of Love (1990), their opus A La Luna (1991) was the last of the bands song based albums and represents a wonderful way to close this association.

Reworked, re-ordered and remastered especially for this first time vinyl release, brothers Mark and Clive Ives again present their unique, ground-breaking and at the time, heart-wrenchingly overlooked music, that seems to fit the folk-new age-electronics of today as well, if not better, than when first released.

Across 20 plus songs Mark's guitar, clarinet and vocals are as ever drenched in Clive's mixing desk mastery. Echo and reverb shimmer as the short pieces rise and fall like the wind blowing across nighttime trees. With no song going much beyond three minutes, A La Luna flows as one piece. The unmistaken sound of Woo wraps itself around you in an essence, warmth and glow that is addictive, meditative and uplifting.

Featuring the original vocal performance of Mark's love ode, Magic In The Dark stands as a centerpiece where, as with all their albums, vocals appear at a minimum, as part of the musical journey.

The underlying somber nature of the album comes as the band ended more than a decade of recording with little critical or commercial success. The fact they did not release a full album again and moved towards a more meditation outlook was a loss, however, their recent rediscovery and the excellent releases by Drag City and Palto Flats included, has finally given the Ive's brothers not just a place in appreciation, but has shown that there really is no one like Woo. Rebolledo's YOU AND YOUR HIPPIE FRIENDS imprint grows its groove footprint on international dance floors with the full-length debut of GÜERO, the latest vinyl outing from the Hippie Dance sister label and also its first fully fledged album project. To attentive hippie friends, the artist name should ring a big, funky bell - one that sounds exactly like the cut 'Convertible Ride' from the notorious 'A Very Nice Combinado Volume Uno' 12' release (YAYHF 01).
Back then, our hero was travelling under the somewhat more convoluted 'El Güero Fresa' monicker, but has since dropped some of those conceptual pounds in an effort to reach maximum sleekness. In the same vein, his debut album is a testament to ultimate funk-a-ficiency, digging deep into fizzy arpeggios and chunky basslines - and the occasional guitar cameo, giving tracks such as bubbling synth opener ELEKTRONIQUE, the neon-lit NIGHT CRUISING, bouncing electro disco roller ALTO FINAL or the programmatic SPACE DRIFTER just that little extra riff.
GUITAR MAYHEM, however, is anything but - you'll discover a pretty dank bouncer and certainly not the squealing meltdown one would expect. TECHNO MINIMAL doesn't do what it says on the tin, either, opting for an energetic bass 'n' organ workout instead. By now, you'll begin to understand why the album's called MY WAY MY RULES: GÜERO takes whatever sonic path he desires, no matter what - which is precisely why he chimes so well with YOU AND YOUR HIPPIE FRIENDS's steadily expanding motley crew of rave misfits and studio drop-outs. The way of the hippie is indeed a mysterious one.

It was May 2017 when Earthboogie's debut release dropped on Leng. The soundsystem-loving East London duo rightly won praise for a fne EP that brilliantly joined the dots between all things intergalactic, terrestrial and tribal.
Having spent the last ten months recording their adventures, Izaak Gray and Nicola Robinson return with Silken Moon', the frst single from their forthcoming debut album, Human Call.
In typical fashion, Silken Moon' cannily combines musical elements from a myriad of styles - most notably Afro-disco, samba and mid-tempo Chicago house - to create a humid hybrid that defes easy categorization. There are bouncy organ riffs, undulating acid lines, clipped Afro-funk guitars, tons of tropical percussion and the chanted, carnival-friendly vocalizations of guest singer Nina Miranda.
The release comes backed with remixes from two members of the extended
Leng family: long-serving producer Felix Dickinson and Turkish rising star Ali Kuru. Dickinson sticks close to the original of Silken Moon' with a mix built around gently jacking machine drums and Earthboogie's sweaty guitar licks while Kuru takes Human Call' in an altogether more cosmic direction. Pushing the track's psychedelic TB-303 lines and tropical textures to the fore whilst
adding his own mind-altering electronics - most notably a fat new synth bassline - Kuru cleverly re-casts the track as a pulsating, late night throb-job.

Phantasm is a new vinyl label and collaboration between Amsterdam's Sinchi Collective and the much-admired Night Noise outlet, based in Geneva. It kicks off with a strong EP from The Soviet Union aka Richard Baldwin, including classy remixes from Sinchi themselves and In Flagranti.Baldwin has a signature style that is cinematic and synth heavy and has been formed over the last decade plus. A fine DJ, experienced promoter and self-confessed addict of vintage analogue synthesizers and drum machines, Richard pulls his influences from early electronica, 80s film-scores, and shades of techno right up to the present day. This track was first written on a cold evening in December 2010 using a Roland TR707 and JX8P Synth. After collaborating with his songwriting partner the track was given a haunting vocal and released as 'The Disappearance of Becky Sharp', while the original remained on Baldwin's Soundcloud and got ID requests from all over the world. 7 years later it comes back to life in the form of its original instrumental, with a 2017 rework, plus remixes by Sinchi and In Flagranti.The superb original is a perfectly spaced out and a retro-future bit of synth heavy electronic music. Arpeggiated bass props up rueful chords and icy percussion brings that essential cosmic vibe. It's a timeless track that overflows with emotions and is sure to really make a mark in any DJ set thanks to its rich musicality. The 2017 Rebuild is even more lush and zoned out with sombre chords forcing you to reflect on the deeper meanings of life. In Flagranti—the Codek Records duo based in Switzerland—then lace in some hip swinging claps and make this one a deep disco track that is riddled with little synths, chords and melodies that exude warmth and sci-fi soul. Last of all, Amsterdam's Sinchi cook up a storm with corrugated basslines, long tailed pads and turbulent solar winds that make it that bit darker and moodier. This is a brilliant package of emotive music that is a real statement of intent.

Laesh another newcomer to Roots For Bloom delivers a club ready three tracker with ripples of early sneak influences and robsoul-ish vibes. All three run on a similar tip relying on samples fresh and more well known alike but all three will do the job on the floors.

The SHAG Edits return on Roots For Bloom with volume 5. label boss Jamie Trench starts things off with "Where The Party At" which reaches in to a hip hop flavour with that 90s sample feel. Reece Johnson rounds off the A side with a disco style cut that will bring the boogie to any floor. Very cool ep from Skatebard on Vivod ! A mixed bag from the prolific Norwegian producer showing us why he's still at the top of his game. Maskindans kicks things off with some speak & spell funk followed by Hissige Helger, a brooding Chicago style banger sure to tear up some discoteques across the planet.
