Giorgio Moroder Vs Mb Disco - From Here To Eternity, Aeropla

Legendary Giorgio Moroder is back on MB Disco. This time we present one of his biggest tracks ever, especially in the disco/dance/club scene. Released back in 1977 on Casablanca Records. The track featured on the same titled album and is considered as one of the albums that influenced lots of the following techno/house producers in Detroit and Chicago. For this special occasion we invited the crème de la crème of Belgium and made an exclusive Belgian connection release. What about these names: Aeroplane, Compuphonic, Attar! and Fusty Delights. Aeroplane delivers what he does best, a vocal party Nu-Disco stomper that has all the elements for getting the party started. Same goes for Attar! who step it up a bit with his version. A rougher Nu-Disco take with some old skool elements in there to make it even more interesting. After all the hype of Nu-Disco, we have to take it down a bit and what wouldn't be better doing it with Compuphonic. They flirt heavily with the dubby aspects of the Deep House scene with their dubby-cosmic-almost minimal Deep House version. Lastly, but not least, Fusty Delights comes up with a funky suggestive and very atmospheric remix that gets into your deepest soul. The remixers surely doesn't need any further introduction but just to a reminder. They featured on labels like, Eskimo, Wall Of Sound, Get Physical, Kitsune, Ed Banger and Turbo just to name a few. We can write countless of pages about the history and achievements of Mr. Moroder but we believe you music lovers knows some of the history already and therefore we won't bother with it.

Tensnake - 58 Bpm (mano Le Tough Remix)

Following on from his blistering Essential Mix debut back in February, Marco Niemerski AKA Tensnake releases his highly anticipated new single '58 BPM' on May 13th. Just like his equally on-point remix for Little Boots celebrating Record Store Day in 2012, this new release is an equally limited vinyl run that's limited to 400 copies worldwide - only this time, the music is all his own. And the remix on the flip comes from Dublin-via-Berlin producer Mano Le Tough.
'58 BPM' is the first fruits of Tensnake's long-awaited artist album, which will be released at the end of September. A little slower than some of his recent output, '58 BPM' is a shimmering, soul-drenched electronic ballad that features the vocal talent of Berlin-based singer/songwriter Fiora.
With a catalogue that already includes classics like 'Coma Cat', 'Holding Back My Love' and 'In The End (I Want You To Cry)', Tensnake is one of the most exciting electronic artists at work today. We'll leave the last word to Niemerski himself:
'58BPM' is a song I produced with the super-talented singer Fiora, who features on several tracks on my forthcoming album. I am extremely proud of the song and the whole vibe of the track - and it's a sign of what's to come: The remix on the b-side comes from Mano Le Tough, whose new 'Changing Days' album on Permanent Vacation I really love. I also put out his very first record 'Eurodancer' on Mirau back in 2009 so there's a nice link from the past to the present and future!"

Azymuth - Aurora Remix

FAR OUT RECORDINGS IS PROUD TO PRESENT TWO CLASSIC AZYMUTH TRACKS MASTERFULLY REMIXED BY THE MIGHTY HAT-WEARING PRODUCERS ASHLEY BEEDLE AND OPOLOPO. TAKEN FROM THE FORTHCOMING MAY RELEASE OF 'AURORA REMIXED' (2xCD), THESE 4 CUTS WILL KEEP DANCEFLOORS HEAVING AROUND THE GLOBE THIS SUMMER.
Aurora 'Remixed' is an electrifying album that mirrors, like for like, the tracklist of the original 2011 release, with remixes and re-edits specially commissioned from some of today's most in-demand producers. On the A-side of this 12', Far Out family friend and producer extraordinaire Ashley Beedle, slows down the tempo of 'É Mulher', grabs elements of Bertrami's original melody and shapes them around a seriously funky bassline to deliver a spaced out groover of epic proportions. The remix is accompanied by a slick dub version with darker connotations, deep spacey synths and a deliciously liquid low-end. Dub version exclusive to the vinyl release.

On the B-Side, Far Out meets for the first time with Swedish producer Opolopo. After being hugely impressed by 'Mutants', a collection of his remixes for Tokyo Dawn Records, (including the massively popular rework of Gregory Porter's '1960 What') the label approached the talented producer for a remake of 'Carnaval Legrand', a classic Azymuth tune that Bertrami dedicated to the great Franco-Armenian arranger and composer Francisco Legrand. While maintaining the original samba doido (crazy samba) spirit and melody, Opolopo counterpoints infectiously funky keys with rolling filtered percussion and sub-end drops to create a tougher remix, ready for the 2013 dancefloor. The dub cut does away with the main melody for a more stripped down version that brings deep stabs and choice elements of the funky keys to the fore whilst maintaining a deep and driving groove.
Regards,

Ltj Xperience - Ain't Nothing But A Groove

Luca LTJ Trevisi (LTJ Xperience) began his DJ / Producer career in the 80s. As Resident DJ in two of the most
famous Italian clubs of the time, Kinky in Bologna and Cap Creus in Imola, he was one of the first Italian jocks
to spin House and to re-propose those black music, jazz and latin-bossa classics from the 70s that at the end
of the same decade would have given birth to the Acid Jazz and Rare Groove movements. His first single
release in 1988, titled First Job, together with Kekkotronics, was also the first release ever on Bologna based
IRMA records. It was featured in a lot of compilations of the time and entered several playlists, rapidly rea-
ching cult status for many UK and US DJs. During the early 90s LTJ delivered a couple of singles in a kind of
pre-breakbeat style: Dont Stop The Sax, released all over Europe, and Funky Superfly. He also produced US
singer Tameka Starrs single Going In Circles, always for IRMA records, still a classic in the Downtempo / R&B
field. In the second half of the nineties Luca began to produce Acid Jazz bands like Bossa Nostra, still today
one of IRMA records main acts. Their first album had Vicky Anderson as special guest and today is still con-
sidered one of the most important European acid jazz albums. In the following years he concentrated on deve-
loping his activity as collector and rare vinyl merchant, which gave him the chance to get in touch with DJs
from all over the World and to discover many forgotten gems from the past years. Thanks to this experience
he was able to create two extremely successful rarities series on IRMA records: Groovy and Suono Libero. In
the meanwhile LTJ started to DJ outside Italy too, performing in important venues like the Blue Note and Jazz
Café in London, Giant Step in New York and Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. In 1999 saw the release
of his first solo album under the LTJ Xperience moniker. The album was produced with the collaboration of fel-
low IRMA artist and producer
Ohm Guru and had Taka Boom and Jackson Sloan among the guests. Two of the main tracks on the album
are Brazil House Classic Sombre Guitar and title track Moon Beat, which became a true hit of the Chill Out
genre, featured in dozens of important compilations. After making countless productions for IRMA records,
including their second album When The Rain Begins To Fall (with the participation of the historic Spanish-
American singer Joe Bataan), and the recents singles as ORGAN MIND / I LOVE YOU (favorite track by Larry
Heard ) & ON THE FLOOR / SOUND MACHINE, LTJ is devoted almost exclusively to re-edit and reconstruct
tracks from the past with the addition of sounds and rhythms in post production for labels like SUPER VALUE,
SMALL WORLD DISCO, increasing the production of this new musical genre that is currently defined as
Beatdown / Slo-Mo, working with labels such as Far Out Recordings, Sleazy Beats, Future Classics, E.A.R.,Music For Dreams, Apersonal Music.
His latest album (released in 2012) 'I Do not Want This Groove To Ever End' was such a great success, so
much that the Title Track has been topping the Beatport's Chill Out Charts for over Four months.
The brand new album entitled 'Ain't Nothing But A Groove' continues On the same path as the previous one,
where LTJ discovers and digs deeply into the dark world of Disco and 70's Groove, like no one else can do
mixing the newest sounds of today and with the same feeling that has now become his trademark

There's not much information available about this mysterious release, but it looks like a sunken treasure has found its way to daylight: A crazy no-wavey-punk-funky jam by the artist formerly known as a guy from Minneapolis.

Now available for the first time on 12"!
Pressed on purple vinyl with white marbling, this beautiful diamond comes along with three pearls: a re-mastered version of the original track, a cover version and a jackin' House re-edit.
We suspect that berlin based producer noema droped the crazy cover version and chicago's own Jamie 3:26 rides the rhythm on the edit... rumours..rumours..rumours
Vinyl only release limited to 500 copies!

In January the debut album 'The Damage Is Done' by Hot Coins,
the disco crossbreed project by Danny Berman (best known for
his house productions as Red Rack'em), was released. His
personal time machine journey into the sights and sounds of
downtown New York sometime around the late seventies/early
eighties is much more than a tribute to his heroes of those times. It's
also a brilliant examination of today's club music.

A & R Edits - Vol 2

Vol 2

Derek Kaye married his schoolboy passions of music and electronics in 1973 when he constructed his first disco sound system, aged just 13. Prior to this, with DJ equipment something of a rarity in those days, he created a custom setup that bypassed the need for a mixer by rewiring his turntables in such a way that he could flip the sound from one deck to another, and installed a switch that would dip the music so a microphone from a portable cassette player could be used to announce the song on rotation. His work soon grew in sophistication and a new console was built, with his schoolmate, Greg Wilson, buying Derek's old rig, thus beginning his own well-documented DJ career.

Over the past 40 years, Derek has continued to DJ in and around the North West, both in residencies and guest spots, and his passion for music and electronics are still just as strong. His enviable studio has gone through the transitions of working with notator (the forerunner to logic) on the studio essential Atari 1040 ste with a collection of keyboards and Akai samplers, to just about "working out of the box" as is the case with a lot of studios now.

Today, a lifetime of experience is being teased out of the connoisseur by lifelong friend and A&R curator Greg Wilson, beginning with the double header of 'Nobody' and 'Music Up': both reworks have caused dance floor rapture for Greg over recent months and, as festival season fast approaches, they are now being shared amongst the wider DJ community for the very first time (Derek and Greg have also recently joined forces to remix Bryan Ferry's 'Don't Stop The Dance').

30 years on from its original release, Derek Kaye opens up the second A&R 12" with the definitive dance floor version of Rufus And Chaka Khan's 'Ain't Nobody', splicing the Frankie Knuckles 'Hallucinogenic Version' (with keyboards and percussion from Nuyorican heavyweight David Morales) with the finest elements from the original cut and 'Bassapella' version and a few nuances and percussion added by Derek himself.

'Music Up' is an overhaul of the 1979 Vanguard 12" by the Players Association, Kaye's version injecting further verve into the original with a new bassline, percussion, strings and arrangement. Personally requested by NYC stalwart Danny Krivit when Greg Wilson dropped it during his recent gig at The Date in London, 'Music Up' is a surefire festival favourite, for house and disco heads alike, that's set to fly this summer.

Paqua - Late Train

Late Train

12inchC56045

27.05.2013

12 months after impressing with their frazzled Balearic rock debut, Dinosaur
Zappa and The Visitor Paul Murphy, Alex Searle and Quinn Luke resurrect their
Paqua project for another spine-tingling trip into kaleidoscopic rock territory.
'Late Train' is a decidedly dubbed-out West Coast rock epic - two parts low-
slung dub-disco, three parts stoner rock, and four parts wide-eyed psychedelia.
It ebbs and fows over 11 undulating minutes, sounding like a long lost '70s
prog rock gem produced by the Idjut Boys. It's a bit of a stunner, all right.
'We Are What We Are' offers some respite. Fusing sparring guitars - electric
and acoustic - with a loose, baggy, organic groove, it's an effortless blast of
summer sunshine. While decidedly Balearic in nature, it owes more to classic
West Coast rock than White Isle electronica. As you'd expect from Claremont
56, it's perfectly pitched and more than a little wide-eyed.

Walker & Royce - You're Not Welcome

Currently bubbling under the surface of Brookyln's house scene, Walker & Royce are about to break through with their addictive debut single 'You're Not Welcome' on the mighty Crosstown Rebels imprint, complete with rising star Francesca Lombardo Remix.

Geared directly at the floor, 'You're Not Welcome' is a bona fide bomb representing the nu breed of talent coming out of NY. Mood-driven and fizzing with hot synths, a deeply infectious vocal and hooky bassine, it's a summer anthem with a menacing edge, likely to spread like wild fire.

The second original track 'Stare If You Want To' is another essential party cut. Kicking off with a powerful rhythm and shards of disco, the track is soon enveloped by the rolling, drum-led groove as the old school U.S vocal line is fused with 80s synths and funky guitar licks.

On the B-side remix, Francesca Lombardo takes 'You're Not Welcome' on a deeper trip instilling restraint and delicate rhythms with smokey bass whilst retaining the solid groove of the original. A new signing to Crosstown Rebels, the Hackney based Italian singer and musician has a debut EP coming to CR in July and an album forthcoming next year.

Part of the Nervous Records NY crew Walker & Royce aka Sam Walker and Gavin Royce having been packing a serious punch with an array of scorching remixes for artists such as 33hz, Publicist, Saarid, and SPF 5000, as well as a string of club-ready originals. Like a scene out of Mad Men, Sam and Gavin realised their potential music chemistry while sipping brandy in the offices of Nervous Records. Next thing they knew, they were in the studio together banging out tracks that you can now hear thumping through speakers all over the world. 2012 is set to be a breakthrough year for Sam and Gavin with this massive release and more material ready to drop on OFF and Pets Recordings.

Luke Solomon - Timelines

Timelines' is the new LP from British house producer Luke Solomon and it will be released via his and Derrick Carter's Classic imprint in May in a package that features the LP, a selection of remixes and a mixed bonus version.
Luke Solomon's influence on house music has been strongly felt for many years. As a DJ and promoter he pioneered mid-week London clubbing with his legendary Space night alongside the late, great Kenny Hawkes. As a producer he has constantly delivered original, often idiosyncratic and always unique house music (and beyond) for an enviable list of imprints. As an A&R he has helped develop many a career (Tiefschwarz, Freeform 5 and Isolee to name but a few) with The Classic Music Company and continues to do so with Classic and his new role as one of Defected's A&R team.

'Timelines is an album that I have been making and remaking over the last 6 years.

I started work on it off of the back of The Difference Engine (Rekids), my last LP under my own name. The idea was to make the album part of a trilogy, this one being representative of my more Balearic roots. The original version that was completed fell on deaf ears quite considerably and it became a bit of a sticking point for me.
I decided to put it to one side and in the process started working on some other music, which in turn, helped me stumble across a new sound and production technique. The initial idea was to work on a series of songs that represented significant points in my life, but lyrically and musically. It then became more relevant to the 6 years of writing and producing the album. A lot of shit happened, and I was able to pour it into finally completing the album. I then decided to keep the album guarded and close as it had become that personal. I didn't want the album to be effected by opinions of those that were too close to me and the music.
What I ended up with is something that has come straight from the heart. Made possible by joining forces with a whole stack of talented musicians and singers over the last 6 years.'
Luke Solomon
Timelines', even the incredibly humble and self-effacing Solomon would Agree, is his best work to date. Featuring vocal contributions from Jon Marsh, Natalie Broomes, Terry Grant and Tiger Tiger, as well as musicianship from Arthur Jeffes (various keys), Andy Neil (guitar and bass), Martin Radford (strings), Sammy Bishai (Violins) , Chris Storr (Horns), Steve Parry (Horns), Anu Pilai (Guitar/bass), Tom Bailey (Guitar) and Danny Harrison (Drums), 'Timelines' is so much more than the usual house music album, it's one man deftly controlling and mastering his very own musical chaos.
Luke Solomon's 'Timelines' is released on Classic mid-May 2013.

Luminodisco - Hello My Friend / Burundiness

BILL BREWSTER (DJ HISTORY) - Really like Burundiness. Weird and interesting and beautiful. Early support by Jerry Bouthier, Tensnake, Matt Walsh, Chris Coco, DJ Rocca, Shadow Dancer, Ulysses...
Following on from the floor filling delights of his last effort, Ragazzini / Diavolo Di Un Disco (played by almost everyone from Dimtri From Paris to Todd Terje, from Prins Thomas to Justin Vandervolgen via Tensnake), the Italian born Federico Costantini might well have decided to replicate the same formula for his next EP on Hell Yeah. But no, the man has more about him than that, and instead turns in three wildly different cuts that touch on a wide array of influences from broken disco to soul, post rock to African rhythms. As a resident at Rome party Exe-Cute, Luminodisco knows how to work a dancefloor in style and does so again with the tracks here. Burundiness for example, which grows from the delicate rattles of cow bells and muffle of distant voices into a predatory disco crawl, laden down with xylophone sounds, squelchy claps and melancholic piano chords - it sounds alive, organic and like a field recording of some African savannah come sun down.

Two years on from the release of their remarkable debut album, 'New Moon', Almunia return with a second full-length of chugging psychedelic dub disco, shimmering acoustic grooves and spine-tingling Italian Balearica. Decidedly less heady than its predecessor, 'Pulsar' impresses with its glistening guitars, touchy-feely textures, ocean-blue chords and otherworldly atmospherics. Along the way, there are tracks that variously sound like Cos/Mes jamming with Pet Metheny ('The Magician'), the Idjuts locking horns with Mudd ('Ode To Mum'), classic Scandolearica (the Lindstrom & Prins Thomas-ish 'Pulsar'), Peter Green on valium ('Views From A Blue Train') and a lost Fleetwood Mac track ('Secret Marriage'). Having wowed critics and crate-diggers alike with 2012's acclaimed Magik Cyrkles compilation, Psychemagik are now ready to unleash the follow-up, Magik Sunrise. TIP!!
Bristling with psychedelic, cosmic and curiously Balearic oddities hand-picked from the depths of their vast record collections, Magik Sunrise is, if anything, even more inspired that its predecessor.

For 'Magik Sunrise', the Kent-based duo has dug even deeper into the dusty corners of their record vault, deep in the Cosmic Forest. The result is another inspired, 15-track
collection that gleefully skips between all manner of forgotten gems and little-known nuggets, occasionally stopping to acclaim an otherwise unknown track or artist.

Off-kilter African reggae (Max Adioa) nestles side by side with eyes-closed deep-jazz funk (Rob Mehl, George Oban), while the stoned, Balearic prog rock of Jeff Liberman jostles for position with the Steve Miller Band-on-valium goodness of Fox's 'The Juggler'. Then there's the Roxy Music-ish grooves of Joey Newman, the drifting new age ambience of Iasos (whose 'Formentera Sunset Clouds', from the 1975 album 'Inter- Dimensional Music', is a highlight) and the folksy bliss of Yves Simon. Artists originally ignored first time round, such as Daniel Mathieu, Cherubin, Susana Estrada and Steve & Teresa, are given a place in the spotlight. In fact, Leng spent a
considerable amount of time tracking down each artist, allowing them to tell their stories, give the inside history of each

Given that Magik Cyrcles was widely considered to be one of the best compilations of 2012, that's some feat. That collection garnered praise across the board, appearing in the end-of-year charts of Rough Trade, Juno and Piccadilly Records. As if that wasn't enough, DJ magazine also described it as 'f***ing great!'

The public seemed to agree with their assessment. The limited-edition gatefold, double-vinyl edition of the collection sold out within two days and now changes hands for upwards of £50 on Discogs.

Alien Alien - Monday Ep

Hugo Sanchez and Rodion of ALIEN ALIEN (GOMMA / ESKIMO) return from a cosmic voyage out in deepest, blackest space back to Earth with a new release for DISCAIRE - THE NIGHTS EP. From their interstellar expedition the pair conjures up dark sounds submerged deep in an abandoned nightclub basement once frequented by a distant, technologically advanced civilization.

The title track, THE NIGHTS is an exploration of the space time continuum where bass lines bend one way or another before going into an arpeggiated, nu-disco hyperdrive. The track's cinematic melodies warp sideways and back in line as granulated synth effects shift from amoeba-like structures to a solid form.

On the other side, MONDAY is a house cut that features night-stalking salsa hand claps, wild aboriginal sounds with an infectious vocal mantra intoned throughout the track - a return to earlier motifs ALIEN ALIEN is known for especially with the Sambaca/Black Guru EP from 2011.

THE NIGHTS EP 12" vinyl is slated for release on March 4th, 2013 where ALIEN ALIEN will join the Discaire roster among previous alumni Discodromo and C.L.A.W.S. Digital formats will drop worldwide on March 11th. In the tradition of all previous Discaire releases The NIGHTS comes in a special limited edition "concept" packaging with a boutique run of 250 pressings on vinyl with mastering completed by Dietrich Schoenemann.

A longtime collaborator of ALIEN ALIEN, Manuel Savoia, will also be producing the music video to accompany the release. For instant gratification of what to expect, watch their Sambaca video - an elaborate choreograph of high steppin', heel crushing, butch femmes trying to out-fierce each other on an abandoned junkyard that has viewers from all over the world losing their hair extensions over this.

The Hi-NRG history of Luke Jenner's hometown San Francisco is freshly revived for Shit Robot's cheekily-titled "Feels Real," on which Jenner plays the slinky Sylvester to Marcus Lambkin's Patrick Cowley wizardry. Meaty and a bit menacing, Jenner asserts "I think you'll always want my love" over washes of organ. It all builds to an ecstatic, shouted peak before the whirligig synths implode under the weight of Jenner's pure falsetto. For the remix, Luke Solomon scrapes off some gloss and opens synthetic space around the ghosts of a guitar lick, while extending the blissful vocal peak over analog bombast and tasteful strands of acid.

Moplen/the Reflex - Let No Man Clash (transparent Vinyl 10")

Italian producer Moplen teams up with The Reflex to share a track each on a transparent 10". Both acts re-jig classic disco and rock gems, with Moplen taking to '70s Philadelphian disco quad First Choice and their track "Let No Man Put Us Under", while The Reflex tinkers with The Clash's "Rock The Casbah". Where First Choice's original may be more about people-power and self determination, Moplen gears his remix directly for the dancefloor with re-swung drums, guitars, bass and First Choice's infamous everyday of my life vocal (used to great effect in Sepalcure's 2010 Love Pressure EP). The Reflex boldly revises a Clash classic, with a specifically engineered four-four drum beats dominating his casbah riddum, which is totally rebuilt from the groups original 1982 hit.

Dan Beaumont - Reality Checkpoint

Disco Bloodbath Recordings latest is the debut solo release from one of the founders and original residents of the Disco Bloodbath clubnights, Dan Beaumont - formally of production duo Jam Factory and the man behind London venues Dalston Superstore and the newly opened Dance Tunnel.
'Reality Checkpoint' is an atmospheric mid-tempo house chugger based around judicious use of samples and a slight dub-reggae sensibility to the groove. The original is accompanied by two alternate versions - one from Neville Watson, which pushes the track into club territory, and one from Dan himself, which strips things back, further accentuating the track's dub overtones.

Grace Jones - The Balearic Sound Of

Sunkissed Recordings' latest offering features four Balearic gems from the incredible Grace Jones. One of the faces of the original Ibiza party scene, Grace spent many a debauched night partying hard on the island and her music was as influential on the original Balearic scene as it was in the New York disco underground. First up is the amazing Tom Moulton 12' version of 'La Vie En Rose' - a slo-mo sensual disco masterpiece that became an anthem at Ibiza's Amnesia. Next up is the extended 12' version of 'Feel Up' with a fantastic groove that filled floors from the Paradise Garage to Pacha. On the B side, we get 'Nipple To The Bottle' another stunning Sly & Robbie production that found favour on the Balearic dancefloors and last but not least the extended Larry Levan mix of the party classic 'Pull Up To The Bumper'. You need this!

Munk - Misterio

Misterio

Gomma Records
13.05.2013

Mr. Munk is back! Having released nothing since 2 years - now he comes back with Misterio: an ousider house bomb that sounds like the perfect follow-up to his last album's hit La Musica. Misterio starts like a "normal" house tune. Based on fat house drums and a catchy bassline. But after the intro it turns into crazy new wave funk. New York early 80ies style. Fucked up guitars and a guy shouting in Brazilian, Spanish and English languages.
Mat Munk (aka Gomma records' co-boss Mathias Modica) recorded this tune last summer in Berlin and Porto Allegre/Brazil. The voice comes from Brazilian DJ Gab Cevallos. The track has been mixed and co - produced by Mark Ralph. (Hot Chip, Jamie Jones)
Also the remixes are the bomb! Severino from London's Horse Meat Disco made the perfect summer dancefloor shaker. And PBR Streetgang's Bonar Blackberry's version is perfect for fans of the new UK House vibes.
This single is great! Greater! People will scream. Promise!

Prince Language / Lee Douglas - Stay Up / Broadway

On the first Editions Disco release in many moons, Prince Language brings it with 'Stay Up', an anthem for the late-night crew. An early-80s midnight music video staple is teased and extended into a menacing and funked-up groove bomb that will have you running for your nearest horizontal mirrored surface. An ominous, pulsating drone over driving drums builds up before giving way to angular guitar funk, dubby piano fireworks and a bassline as insistent as that numbness in your teeth. A chorus of 'up all night... stayin' up all night' let's you know what time it is. But you probably shouldn't know that when you're still going. Editions Disco never sleeps.
On the flip-side, NYC storyteller Lee Douglas brings us an epic extension of the classic live version of a smooth guitar god's 'On Broadway' - but there's nothing silky about this one. This is a foot-stomping workout complete with rousing crowd noise, a relentless piano riff on top of a handclapping groove that refuses to quit, and guitar pyrotechnics that all build to a series of chorus-teasing climaxes. Gutbucket disco, and late-night workout of the highest order.
Both cuts are pure gold - choose your weapon, DJs. Already getting support from the DFA crew, Lovefingers, Mathieu Schreyer of KCRW Los Angeles, and Justin Miller just to name a few.

A/jus/ted Feat. Miss Bee - Stay Up Here (inc. Bonar Bradberry Remix)

a/jus/ted is the musical concept of veteran producer Justin Strauss & analog aficionado Teddy Stuart, better known as Eddie Mars, & since coming together in 2012 the pair have crafted some lush, synth heavy music. Before then they had impressive careers: in the case of Strauss, remixing & producing for some of the biggest acts in the States from a range of genres, & for Stuart it was producing his own disco fried sounds for UNO NYC.
The original version of 'Stay Up Here' is an emotional ride on top of a simple but evocative bassline with neon synths & delicate melodies all swaying infectiously. The sweet, whispered vocals from Miss Bee (who has sung for producers including Needwant's Mario Basanov before now) inject a certain steaminess & the whole track oozes cool.
As well as a dub, one half of PBR Streetgang & something of a man of the moment Bonar Bradbury also offers a remix. His version is sympathetic to the original but features a more degraded, apocalyptic bassline & sharper, more prominent claps. Finally, Golf Channel's nu disco favourites The Rhythm Odyssey also turn in a remix. This version twists & turns & is much more purposeful & electric. Pixelated synths rain down the face of the track & an anthemic piano breakdown really sets the whole thing alight.
Another fine A&R stroke for Southern Fried, this release will surely propel a/jus/ted to the next level.

Sare Havlicek - Insinuations And Allusions

It's always a pleasure when Sare Havlicek brings something to Nang HQ and obviously, this single is no exception! 12 inches of disco groove served up and ready for the masses. This time Sare has not come alone though, 'Insinuations and Allusions' has been called upon for some serious remixes, featuring the likes of Inigo & Dan Solo; Copycat & Martin Brodin; Tiger Cubes and Sasha Kojevin, you can bet on a seriously heavy release.
The original mix roles straight out from the needle with subdued nu-disco tones that gradually benefit from the enhancements of the funky guitar stabs. The mix has a steady groove that is a subtle back tone for those sunny summer afternoon parties.

Tnt Subhead - Ecstasy & Release

This is my 1st solo rocket.

Tracks presented here were matured at the museum for few years and actually some of them came to me at my very first attempt on solo music, being myself only involved with bands till then.

Everything was recorded at home exposed to machines i didn't know, using older and newer gear. At some point midi samples were also used, taking advantage of my computer promises #anythingoes.

Turns out that cold meat lights no fire so attached to this music are ghosts of my life transcribing their emotions into techno. First half of this rocket is more on a negative tip, the second half is more positive, like we all should take it. Either way you should listen to both sides cause they complement each other, so try to relax and enjoy the ride, or get off your ass and jam.

Feedback:

GAVIN RUSSON (LCD SOUNDSYSTEM / CRYSTAL ARK) - Finally getting a chance to listen to this. DAMN it's SO GOOD!
TIM SWEENEY (BEATS IN SPACE) - The album is so good! I love it. thanks for sending it!!
LOVEFINGERS (ESP) - DAMN! Looks as bomb as it sounds!!! GIMME!!
LEE FORSTER (LAST WALTZ) - Love it......I love most of Tiago's stuff though so maybe I'm biased :)
ALEXIS LE-TAN - Nice mixture of techno/dance music with great live/psychedelic instrumentation... Enjoying the mellow beatless tracks as much as the more dancefloor orientated stuff.
KLAYMAN - I'm more into the B-side, but the whole LP is quality material! ;) Will be good for the club and for home listening as well. Great first album from Tiago! Go on, Groovement :)
MIRROR PEOPLE (PERMANENT VACATION / DISCOTEXAS) . Interesting as always. Full Support!
