The wind up of Phillip Lauer's album debut 'Phillips' (still available in all formats including gatefold double vinyl) is in the hands of NYC remix/production outfit Runaway and Versatile's very own I:Cube. Runaway do their best to turn 'Tentatious' into one of those early morning deep house dubs that you could find on the b-side on vintage designer labels of their hometown. Music for baby powdered wooden floors. I:Cube does the opposite and manufactures a bumper car boogie beat that also works as a UK rave dub. He likes to move it. On the flip, Lauer himself turns in the hidden album track 'Boringtone' - his very own secret ode to the Café del Mar - and the super exclusive smashing pumpkin that is 'Highdimes". 100% Overground melodies

Number 3! Dimitri from Paris & DJ Rocca are back for good. Their third release on Gomma gonna be released in March. And again: funky disco infected modern house tracks.
Their last one went No.1 on Juno Downloads and got praised by DJ all over the world.

After extensively touring all around the globe over the last few years Jazzanova finally went back to the lab. During last
November the loose collective of stand-out musicians (members of the Jazzanova live band) spent some time together in the prestigious and legendary GDR Rundfunk Orchestra studios in East Berlin. Over several sessions most of the songs they have been performing live lately to critical and public acclaim were put to tape. This unique endeavour has been filmed and some of the footage can soon be seen in the video clip for the brand new song "I Human". "I Human" predicts the upcoming new album - Funkhaus Studio Sessions' (due in March 2012) and the tour of the same name.

With the third release still occupying both the charts and dance floors, as universal plaudits ripple through the great disco ensemble, HOD's fourth release Busy Tone will no doubt be greeted with the warm embrace and support it so richly deserves.
To kick-start proceedings, OOFT! - the productive mask of Glasgow-based Ali Herron - presents 'Mazin'. In recent years OOFT! has furnished us with a number of memorable deep, pitched-down gems, and in this slow burner he delivers yet again. Imagine waking up in the morning and realising that summer was a permanent season and you didn't have to work ever again: this would compliment that feeling perfectly.
In 'Seventh', the two halves of Dikso Records certainly make this a wholesome treat, as you would always expect from the collective craft of Daniel Solar and Andi de Luxe, masterfully blending a techno backbone with a stunning disco complexion. Quite simply, two of Germany's finest at their best.
The label welcomes back the well-groomed Debonair for his second outing, following on from the furore of 'Why' and Conor Bevan, who dresses as sharply as he produces, proves that he's here for the long-haul with 'Your Love'. Anna Lunoe & Friends 'Real Talk' EP is all Australian and all party! On 'Real Talk' Anna teamed up with mysterious Sydney producer Touch Sensitive - who you may remember brought you 'Body Stop' back in 2009 on Future Classic - for what could be THE perfect summer house anthem... pianos, uplifting pianos, vocal stabs, pianos. A tune that you could definitely see rubbing shoulders with classics like 'Strings of Life' and 'Gypsy Woman'. Next up is 'I Met You', Anna's collab with another Sydney producer that's been catching lots of attention from the likes of XLR8R, Electronic Beats and inthemix called Flume. Anna's beautiful vocal work gets Flume's catchy chopped and pitched treatment and is packed with more chunky bass than you've ever imagined. The final track on the EP is an essential DJ tool by one of Australia's earliest pioneers of house and techno DJ HMC. HMC takes all the power of the original 'I Met You' and brings up the pace and kick for some very delicious results. HMC has been making dance music in Adelaide since around '91 and is still rocking, in fact if you're from the new school you might know is other alias Late Nite Tuff Guy.. The Australian born Anna Lunoe has DJed with giants like The Chemical Brothers, Soulwax, Daft Punk and Salt n Pepper, ran cult club parties with her DJ crew Hoops, mixed compilations for Ministry of Sound, given music direction for everyone from Louis Vuiton to Hugo Boss and even nabbed a spot in Sydney magazine's 100 most influential people list. Aroy Dee's MOS Deep does analogue deep and classic house like few other labels do today. This new Black Rain EP marks a return to the label for R-A-G aka Aroy himself, G-String and Marco Spaventi.

Opening with 'Fog' the deep vibe is set immediately. Crispy snares, a chugging groove and plenty of eerie sonics swirl around into something with a keen sense of foreboding.

Little is known about the Norwegian bunny & bear duo known simply as "The Glue". Their last appearance with us came courtesy of Kolour LTD and we knew right then that these boys were in-store for their own EP with us and we're pleased to announce that it's finally come to fruition.

Remix duties see the return of the incomparable Dead Rose Music Company to the Kolour fray. He takes the title track and rubs it into a chunky piece of dancefloor business that has without a doubt turned into one of our favorite remixes to date.

Buzz Compass is welcomed back to No More Hits for his third stint on the label. Following two sell out successes, he brings 4 superb tracks ready for the dance floor. The A1 is a great track for this summer weather, co-produced with Kraut. The B2 is a cheeky edit of a well-known band, which has finally been granted the light of day amidst some heavy demand from soundcloud.

With a shuffle, a wink and a swing of the hips, Original Cuts returns to wax with a quartet of tried-and-tested dancefloor bumpers from label head honcho Deadly Sins.

As usual, Deadly Sins has provided us with a four-pack of hypnotic, filter-heavy disco cuts that slither their way across the dancefloor with all the sinewy charm of an eager python on heat. Taken inspiration from forgotten disco gems and simmering secret soul jams, Original Cuts 03 bumps, grinds, struts and jigs from start to finish.

Luke Solomon is a survivor. Starting out in the early '90s, he's still going strong, with a classic label, an enormous chart hit and plenty of memories behind him. He's connected to some of the most respected names in UK house—Justin Harris, Rob Mello, Kenny Hawkes. And the US too. Classic, the label he started with Derrick Carter, hardly needs an introduction: It was among the best underground house imprints of the late '90s and early '00s, and one of the most idiosyncratic, reflecting Solomon and Carter's wide-ranging tastes perfectly. Solomon, in particular, has always surprised, whether it be via his Freaks collaboration with Justin Harris or his solo work for Rekids.

Full Pupp helps another new outfit into the saddle. Even though esteemed norwegian DJ Ole Martin Vilberg aka Omar V and Robin Craaford, one half of Dance Disorder with Baby G ( Bpitch, Eskimo ) are hardly young guns, they gang up together for the first time on 'complete": a blinding cut that harks back to the time with good ol Jack was still the young buck and closely associated with uncle Electro Funk: tough beats, hyperactive claps, a jittering bass and a catchy, squeaking melody are still rattling bones if masterfully pieced together as it is done here. the guy most closely related to the Italo Sound out of the whole norwegian disco bunch chucks the more intricate original rhythm but goes hypertechnicolor and widescreen on the synth parts boosting up the original's melody, throwing in a nod to 'happy station' and a hi-energy bassline.

Secret Circuit, having been knighted by tastemaker Tim Sweeney by releasing their first 12 on his Beats in Space imprint, seriously run the voodoo down with this intense jam: jungle drums, spellbinding exotic chants once obstinately nesting in your head once you heard them, cheeping, bleeping and tweeting dub noises messing with your sense of orientation, gyrating guitar chords in a My bloody Valentine style and between all this wonderful sonic chaos a slightly latin-jazz tinged piano breaks its way. A beautiful maze of a track where you easily can get lost in for the rest of this summer. On the flip Portugal's Tiago accentuates the cosmic rock vibe throwing in an aggressive guitar riff that sounds very much like Chicago's 'I'm a man' and Prins Thomas chucks the looser jam-like first part of the original over board and bundles the psychedelic elements to a breathlessly, constantly intensifying pressure cooker.

Following on from the 'North London Cutz Remixes' 12' back in March, label head Soy Mustafa steps ups for Cinematic Recordings 3rd release this year.

Recorded in the imprint's North London studio, 'Bipolars Revenge' fuses digital programming with an array of analogue and wave synth gear including a Kurzweil K2500 run through Moog Prodigy filters. The finished result is a futuristic cut of deep techno that contrasts looming chords against a grid of steadily stacking percussion.

For his last EP (Return Of The Anunnaki), Soy secured high profile remixes from John Tejada and Brendan Gregoriy under his Chymera moniker. This time, two equally revered veterans have been recruited: British techno pioneer Kirk Degiorgio gives the title track a tonal overhaul that boasts horizon-spanning depth, while over on the flip, Kirk's Ubiquity Records labelmate John Beltran condenses the parameters of the original to deliver a tighter coiled interpretation.
The package is completed by another original production entitled 'Atrak', which fuses a mid-level BPM with rippling pulses and stark key stabs to create a warehouse-purposed slab of industrious trance.

Sometimes chance encounters can lead to the strangest outcomes.......
Late last year, whilst record shopping in a Buenos Aires Flea Market, we met a fellow British vinyl buyer who was just back from a trip to Southern Africa. He'd spent some time crate digging in Botswana of all places and whilst attending a gig, he was handed a cassette (remember those !) from a certain Bepu N'Gali. Knowing he was looking for a deal, it was duly passed onto International Feel (whom then had to swiftly purchase a cassette player) and we headed back to Uruguay for a listen.

After the great response from our first release on 1:53.2 with Cari Lekebusch under his pseudonym as Jade Mantis and Zoe Xenia we continue with the second release of 1:53.2 with another one of our heroes: Jesper Dahlbäck!

A man that needs no presentation with some of the most seminal releases in dance music history to his name. Except for releases under his own name, Jesper Dahlbäck is the man behind producing a series of hits for artists like Tiga. With releases on Turbo Recordings, Mobilee Records, SVEK, Drumcode, H-Productions and his own ISL records he is one of the most respected guys in this game.

For this release Jesper brings us an 80s disco flavored House EP that has got summer vibe written all over it!

The lead tracks Miffo and Donna are beautiful house tracks that takes your imagination on a ride to early morning sets.
Tanden is a very cleaver toolish techno track that Jesper has been using for years in his sets. We are very happy and proud that he has chosen 1:53.2 as the label to release this frequently asked for track.

The response on the first EP of afro/latin house workouts from Jose Marquez was a big hit for Basic Fingers and sold out on the first run.
So, now we got a new Jose Marquez EP with two new amazing cuts.
Side A opens with the massive "La Mezcla" which also was sampled by Michel Cleis tech-house classic but here it comes in the shape of a deep latin percussive house workout.

Side B is a full on percussive house bomb using Tego Calederóns "Corillo De Los Trangalanga" as the foundation.

After the success of 78 Edits EP Original Cuts return with one of the most highly rated producers around Mr Matthew Kyle (aka M.K. & NoRequests) is a DJ first and foremost with 12 years of experience. As a producer he has releases on Dikso, Diner City Sound, Small World Disco, Audio Parallax, Editorial, Deep&Disco Recordings, Tigers On A Leash, Itchy Pig Records, and his own label In The Woods. Although still a fresh talent and with an ear for unearthing hidden samples, Matthew has already carved out a trademark style that straddles between head-bobbing slow-house, nu-soul and downbeat disco.

Juno Review..

'Original Cuts follow the masterful release from 78 Edits with a triple dose of Matthew Kyle goodness. Those who frequent the disco section at Juno will know Kyle for recent turns on Diner City Sounds and Small World and the Just An Edit EP continues along these lines. 'With My Heart Breakin'' is a gloriously languid groover. Splaying a delightful vocal and backing harmonies over a house not house tempo, whilst 'This Hurt All Over' is a certified funkathon, all gritty shaking riffs and tough drums poised at oh slow chugging pace. Check the flip for the Vitamin D induced soul bump of 'Baby Come Back' which sprawls expansively across the width of the twelve.'

The next installment of Rogue Cat Sounds' 'Mind Fair presents...' series has been unfurled and takes a step in a different direction from their first offering, the well received disco fur ball 'Reach the Stars', most notably with the addition of a vocal and in style it has weaved out of the psyche-disco realms and fallen more so into a sparse slo-mo new-beat sound laden with lo-fi synth drum machines,a pestering moog bass line and wah guitar licks with not much more else but a sprinkle of percussion and some synth strings. So you're sold already Ok, so that doesn't sound so hot on paper but the simple infectious groove and killer vocal hook just add together to make this insanely and relentlessly catchy. What's more, it all came together purely by chance in a recording session not initially intended to yield anything remotely on the electronic tip but as an opportunity to get a collection a personal songs recorded by a talented singer and songstress Lauren Faulkner whose originally works are earthy,dark and haunting (and beautiful I must add) but not anything like this However, a simple intrigue into the Moog synthesizer that was sat in the corner of the room, followed by a little bit of messing with some of the flashy knobs and within an hour Lauren had not only concocted her first synth-line, she'd also plucked out of nowhere a sublime vocal hook. A little delayed guitar hook was added, a few noises here and there but the result was instant and had everyone involved dancing for what seemed like minutes but was actually as it turned out closer to hours and in some very unusual ways!
Nothing much to add other than , oh yes nearly forgot, an absolute killer remix courtesy of The Rhythm Odyssey.He ups the tempo and moulds one of his filthy house creations nice!,add this then to the original instrumental version and the short but sweet Rhythm Odyssey dub reprise and you've something a little special to get you're claws into, puurrrrrr-fect.

As hot as ever the new EP from our Siberian disco friends is finally landing into Theomatic's catalogue.
The title track "Solar wind" is a Rhodes driven hands-in-the-air early night anthem: simple yet
powerful, just the way we like it! The flipside features an offbeat cosmic number "Planetarium" which
sounds like a perfect soundtrack for some colourful sci-fi cartoon about the early years of space
exploration, with all those rockets, flying saucers, stars and comets with long tails. The bonus track
(available as a digital download only) is named after the Soviet Moon exploration robot vehicle
Lunokhod 2 ('moon walker' in Russian) which was sent to the Moon in 1973. Being rather minimalistic
at the begining it slowly evolves and reaches its apogee closer to the end with calm and beautiful
melody which leaves the listener in a peaceful mood.

Having brought 2011 to a close with two sell out releases ('Oh My Days' & 'Highlife') under his belt, a growing fan base which counts Ricardo Villalobos, Andrew Weatherall, Gilles Peterson, Caribou and Jackmaster amongst its members. World famous producer and DJ Theo Parrish has become a buy-on-sight name keeping complex, emotional deep house on the map. Theo's sound is here in full widescreen with blissful production as the Detroit bass and samples create this addictive relaxed mix; Keep Believing was one of the deep house tracks of 2011 - and having sold-out is available again in concise radio edit form here.

John Morales is the pioneer of the remix and original producer of Jocelyn Brown, Galaxy, Five Star, Shalamar and all things disco fabulous. The previously unreleased disco dub version of 'He's Alright' ends this heavyweight vinyl EP, which collects the highlights of the underground and exclusive FOMDO remix 12' project so far.

Joe Davis (label founder) created the Monster Disco Orchestra alongside Far Out producers David Brinkworth (Harmonic 313) and Daniel 'Venom' Maunick (son of Bluey Incognito) the latter of whom wrote Vendetta. The original track was recorded in Brazil with the Monster Disco Orchestra led by Azymuth's Jose Roberto Bertrami, arranged by Arthur Verocai and with Rio's finest musicians and hugely talented string section it is supersized disco like you've never heard remixed by true electronic producer greats.
