When it comes to being a man of many talents, there are few to equal Richard Norris. DJ, producer, musician, audiovisual artist, A&R man, author and journalist... His is a career of many twists and turns which have always seen him at the forefront of pushing new ideas forward and championing diversity and innovation, be it alongside Erol Alkan as part of The Wizard's Sleeve, or gone solo as the acclaimed Time & Space Machine.

Bullion has come a long way since his 'Pet Sounds: In The Key Of Dee', became a viral sensation on the internet within days of its release back in 2008. He's since gone on to release 'Get Familiar' - a gritty, bass heavy dancefloor anthem, released on One-Handed Music. More releases followed on the same label to critical acclaim, the best known an EP of contemporary love songs called 'Young Heartache'. On his last for OHM, 'Say Goodbye To What', it seemed as though he was loosening the assemblage points of his music, transposing sampled voices into new contexts, and creating a kind of modern, psychedelic cut'n'paste. His most recent effort, 'You Drive Me To Plastic', released by Young Turks Records, is a beautifully sewn together 21 minute piece of music consisting of 9 tracks drawing from leftfield Disco, Krautrock, Exotica, Afro & inspired 70's electronics that he preferred to call a non-LP.

Having already appeared on R&S with a remix of Model 500 and a track on the IOTDXI compilation named 'Ralph' which showcased his singing voice for the first time, this two track single seems like the natural stepping stone from his previous work. Replacing what would previously have been samples with his own vocals and instruments played by both himself and some friends, 'Say Arr Ee' and "What Does She Know' continue to show Bullion as a music lover of many styles who can identify and combine those elements with an air of sympathetic range and still have a sense of clarity and cohesion.

HDR kicks off the new year with a bang. This time we see Marcos Cabral's fledgling NYC label induct some new talent alongside himself.

A1 starts the EP with 'Times In My Life' by Philadelphia's Billy Werner, a long time DJ, Promoter and player in the philly house scene. His debut track shows us the power of looping samples and how it can create the perfect tension to make people dance. It has just the right amounts of disco finesse and subtle vocal stylings that make this track really stand out.

Needwant call upon on the immaculate production skills of Bonar Bradberry for his second release on the label. Bonar's You Were Away EP is a journey through emotive disco dreams, with remixes from two rising producers Maxxi Soundsystem and Space Ranger.

'You Were Away' is a thought-provoking slice of day dreaming disco. Steady shakes and claps set the pace while sleek synth licks and emotive piano keys build the track into full momentum. Blissfully whispering through the melody is the dreamy vocal sung by Bonar himself, demonstrating his diverse artistic talents. The A-side also includes an instrumental version, that lets the music do the talking.

Zopelar is one of our dearest local prodigies. Hailing from a small-town at the heart of Brasil and devoting his life to music from an early age, his love for this artform grew stronger as he explored the myriad layers that sedimented into today's pop.

If ever there were more committed and fervent neighbours within the house and disco community today, then House of Disco Records would be flying the flag loud and high in the front garden for all to see.

Not much is to be known about Batongo, previously an active euro dance producer, released a bunch of hits in the nineties. 10 years ago, after a traumatic experience he escaped in Perù and retired from the music business, during this years, on his spare time he made a lot of music, not meant for the public, just for himself. Now he is still in Perù, not willing to move back to Europe but barely broke, he sold us the rights on his entire collection of unreleased recordings with condition of not revealing his real identity.
We will unveil a series of EPs ranging from obscure deep to psychedelic disco, here's the first one, EL PRIMERO... as he calls it.

For his discographic debut Degustibus has chooses to release Gin Sonic, a tune made by Rubini, an italian artist workin and livin between Venice and Berlin.
Gin Sonic is a classy old-school track, made in Berlin but dreamed in a synthy-outerspace. Circular bassline swim in a invincible funky-beat and crush against a wall of synth providing you a sure dancefloor-filler.
In addition they commissioned a remix from Berlin-legend DJ Filippo "Naughty" Moscatello. He made 2 versions, impossible to choose the better they included both in the release.
Remix 1 is a dubby-hypno ride with a moroder-like dizzy bassline.

For a while it was the perfect label... No, we're not (yet) talking about Gomma from Munich, also an excellent address. This is about the legendary company Casablanca Records&Filmworks from Hollywood, who during the second half of the 70s literally skyrocketed and played an essential part in shaping modern disco music. Besides scoring some mega successes with their famous leading acts Donna Summer, Kiss und Village People, Casablanca revolutionized the development of electronic dance music like no other label.

We play tribute to legendary Giorgio Moroder's 1979 classic and seminal Italo-
Synth-Disco tune with our Italian Connec#on remix package. The original is
taken from the album with the same name released on Casablanca Records
which also features I Wanna Rock You. Moroder's career spans over ve
decades star#ng in the sixtees. He is a three-#me Oscar-winning and two-#me
Grammy award- winning record producer, songwriter and performer (Top
Gun, Flashdance, Midnight Express). He is also known for working with ar#sts
like, Donna Summer, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury. We can write many pages
with interes#ng stu around his work, but this release is about the remixes.

Cosmic Boogie and Andy Ash bring you a second Boogie Originals EP, featuring new cuts from themselves, plus remixes from Toby Tobias and Soul Renegades.

First up is Cosmic Boogie's 'Feel It', a midtempo piano house track that rolls on the back of delicious disco percussion and a distinctly old skool vocal sample. Toby Tobias remixes, infusing the original's rolling groove with a darker vibe and a touch of space disco.

After a smash debut release that had house heads from around the globe taking notice, No Matter What Records is back with a vengeance for their second release.

In 2009, DJ Kaos released "Love the Night Away," a disco dusted single that resulted in a lovely Tiedye remix which inspired countless swoons. It was followed by "Komischer Ruckenwind," wherein the Berlin-based Kaos made beauteous cosmic music (in case the title didn't give it away) and 2010's "Horny Morning Loop," a loping all-nighter of a dance cut. On the heels of those tracks - all great and wanting of repeat listens - "From Inside" feels nothing short of overdue.
