Irishman Mano Le Tough travelled far and wide for what seemed like a
Permanent Vacation only to return with these hypnotic and psychedelic house
cuts. "Mountains" and "Even now" embody the space and vastness of the Swiss
Alps while "She sighed" sees Mano return to the melancholy rain and rich
musical history of his native Ireland. Enjoy the trip!

Following Linkwood's EP would never be an easy task, but Vakula has an equally impressive ace up his sleeve! Three more cuts dusted, dubbed and pushed to the limits of abstraction yet still in the realms of house and techno. Act fast, because as usual there will be no re-press. clear vinyl pressing

We have been working on new material for the last couple of years - honing, rejecting reworking and occasionally performing it out live. The objective of this Gramme re-birth has been simple, but the decisions involved are always complex: simplicity is always the toughest of aspirations. We've been jamming together over the last few months and we've set up mobile studios wherever and whenever we've been able, including some of our office spaces after hours.
When we recorded 'Pre Release' on Trevor Jackson's Output label in 1996 we were still forming as a band - still in development. The EP didn't actually get a release until 1999. The 6 tracks on the EP were the only ones we had written, so when we performed live we played them like it was our last day on Earth - it was crazy and intense! We were then signed to Junior Boys Own, which was an equally intense period - but for different reasons. We found ourselves caught up in a big industry machine which we were not designed for. It was a horrible experience and in the end the album was shelved. So fast-forward a decade, and being able to write and record new material has been exciting, a chance to create music that's raw and complete.
The first track on the new EP which has gathered interest from a few DJs when we've jammed it live is Rough News. This track was initially a warm up groove during our sound checks which slowly started to become something more solid. It was our first benchmark of a sound to move forward with and a reason to believe in our music again. The second track is IFTM (I Feel The Moment) which started life more as a twitch rather than a track, but it found its legs after hours of repeated playing and some expert tweaking during Dave and Leo's late night studio sessions. We definitely feel Fascination represented a real turning point for Gramme's re-birth as it arrived, fully formed, as more a gift than the product of hard labour! With spirits raised we quickly squared the circle adding LOL, which we feel completes the EP beautifully. We knew these tracks worked together so have decided to release them this month, to be followed by new material in May. It's official - Gramme is back!

With two highly popular and praised EP's under its belt, The House of Disco label looks to continue its healthy diet of invigorating collaborations into 2012 with its third release, On The Latch.
The bar was seemingly raised by the celebrated Shoes Off EP, delivering four stunning tracks that featured on all of the noteworthy playlists from last year, and with expectations understandably high, On The Latch has yet again brought together some of the finest artistic talent around.
First up is 'Waves' by Norwegian dynamo The Treatment. After the success of his On & On EP, as well as an overflowing vat of remixes, in 2011, The Treatment is back to form with this flawless rework of Surface's 'Falling in Love', a surprising yet harmonious blend of Nu Disco, classic house chords and electro - a cerebral record that also highlights his instinctive side. We all love a piano riff too, of course.
Satin Jackets preserve their reputation for delivering infectious dance floor tracks with 'How Long Can I Wait For Your Love', producing echoes of Robin S' 'Show me Love', which it undeniably has shown and much more. With heavy influence from the likes of Madonna, Roxy Music and Trevor Horn, the trio looks certain to be fiddling with a number of immortal tunes throughout the year.
Roberto Rodriguez has been synonymous with the house revival, and his music is always anticipated with an air of intrigue and excitement. 'Mustat Vargot' takes you on a welcomed Old School house journey, starting off with heavy synths and bass, leading nicely into ambient beats and sounds. The track passes all of the familiar sites and sounds, yet still offers the senses something new, transporting you to the musical equivalent of utopia.
And to complete the pack, Debonair continues his steady ascent to the Nu Disco summit with 'Why' evidently living up to his nonchalant moniker with this stunning groove number. The rolling, soulful vocals add the substance, ensuring that Debonair maintains his laidback style. Certainly more than just a charmer...

The Future Disco series has become the essential collection for anyone with a house and disco musical obsession. The fifth volume: Downtown Express takes us on yet another journey into all the current must own dancefloor cuts. The limited samplers have become highly sought after collectors' items in their own right by taking key tracks from the albums and exclusively making them available on 12' vinyl.
We open up with Moon Boot's Off My Mind on the A side which has been tearing up dancefloors all over the world for the past month with it's infectious 80's groove and chopped up longing vocal.
As we flip over onto the B Side Metromony need no introduction having been nominated for a Mercury music award for their album 'The English Riviera'. Album track Corinne has been remixed by super producer Mario Basanov who has kept the song's structure intact but given the record a dancefloor vibe that will feel a natural choice for 4am.
Finally Something Happened is a huge looping disco cut reminiscent of the late nineties, Pitto's instrumental remix makes it unrelenting and very effective on the dancefloor with its big build ups and even bigger drops.
This sampler is strictly limited to 300 copies.

Session Victim can do no wrong in our eyes. Not only do they run an absolutely brilliant vinyl-only label known as Retreat with the help of fellow Berliner Quarion. They play an amazing live set which has seen recent fans at London's Corsica Studios get so worked up they were crowd-surfing. Not only were they responsible for last years' underground hit Good Intentions which is so good it had Move D in tears as he closed a festival set with it last summer. On top of all this they're the nicest and most hardworking couple of chaps you ever did meet. In short, we're very proud and happy to be presenting their debut LP The Haunted House Of House on our humble label.
As with our last LP from the mighty 6th Borough Project, we have made the LP available as both a triple pack vinyl as well as being split across three individually available 12' vinyl and digital singles. What you have here is The Haunted House Of House Part One containing four tracks of deep, warm, raw house music that leans heavily on a cut and paste sample ethic but crafted with such an attention to detail that the end result is musical, cinematic in places and just too damn funky! Haunted House dives straight in with an uptempo jam with a heavy disco groove and compressed pads laced with subtle arpeggiating acid lines. Next up is the more laid back yet still seriously head-nodding vibe of Alpine Glow on which the SV boys even manage to make a cut-up Mark King-esque slap bass sample sound good!
Flip over for Dark Sienna, nudging things back into looped up deep-disco territory with a lovely mid-tempo rolling groove driven along by open hats and a square wave bassline. And finally we have the spellbinding Flying Visit to leave us on a total high. Coming on like some long-lost Nightmares On Wax classic, we are treated to a gentle Balearic beauty which should leave you in no doubt that you're in capable hands with Session Victim at the helm, and hopefully eager for your next fix on the soon come Haunted House Of House Part Two.

Here we have a limited pressing containing three raw, underground house remixes of tracks from the forthcoming LP of a certain Essen based producer. Ava label boss Damiano Von Erckert goes jacking on an uptempo old school Detroit techno influenced Jam. Homewreckers head deeper on their beautiful mix of High Needs Low whilst Ugly Drums absolutely kills it with an amazing stripped back disco approach that shows just why he's such a hotly tipped producer for 2012. Essential.

Having met on the glamour strip of Queens Street West in Toronto, Canada, Azari and III live by an anything-goes ethos, their music is bold, brash, packed with hooks and full of character. The infusion of pounding funk induced beats offset by soulful lead vocals is accompanied by a doom-laden diva image; together they defy all stereotypes and categories.

Music; lover/producer/nut/obsessive/collector... Andy Ash first began producing and DJing in his early teens, taking inspiration from house producers and DJ's such as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Carl Craig and a whole host of others. Influenced from listening to DJ's such as these from an early age Andy has been digging into different sounds from across the musical spectrum in order to create his own blend of disco, house, techno and anything else that fits. Andy has recently begun to release his own blend of house and disco with a double 12' on Chicago's Stillove4music, several releases on Five20East records, some naughty edits in the popular L.E.S.S. series and an EP on Universal Vibes. Keep eyes and ears pinned for more forthcoming original and remix material :)
