The second in the sold out series combines the powers of three of the hottest producers in the disco game right now. Heading up the field is Toomy Disco with a monster of a track. Deep, hypnotic and swirling "Into the flashlights" hits you right in the chest, a certified dancefloor bomb, make no mistake. On the flip, remixer and producer de jour Mario Basanov reworks a lesser know Stevie Wonder track into a towering disco gem! Soaring pads elevate the track to dizzy heights before its dropped back down into the groove to great effect. Finally Sean Roman pulls apart, loops up and glues back together a boogie banger in the vein of Tiger & Woods. All in all a damn useful 12".

Behling & Simpson make an immaculate landing on the mothership Futureboogie as they deliver the wonder label's fantastic number 004. A high-inducing listen from start to finish, the 'Behling & Simpson EP' is a cosmic circus of warm, low-slung house grooves with a healthy dose of analog disco.

Samuel's debut for Tartelet Records is a three-track lesson in diversity. Using the dingy dive bars and trance-inducing techno clubs of Copenhagen as his playground, Producer/DJ Samuel André Madsen is fast on his way to becoming an internationally recognized exponent of timeless techno and classic, effervescent house.

The onset of autumn brings this new release from is it Balearic.. recordings head boys Coyote.
Featuring the vocal and lyrical talents of Gavin Gordon, a Madrid based singer songwriter who has previously worked with Mock and Toof. Minamoto is the tale of a 12th century samurai beautifully laid over a heavily percussive and slightly psychedelic disco groove.

For the remixes, DJ Steef creates a more dubbed out 4/4 bouncy synth affair.
The Hardway Bros concoct a proper mid-tempo acid house workout fitting for all the more discerning dancefloors.
The third remix from ShoCKs is a reverb heavy breakbeat trip into the darker side of hypnotic Balearic/cosmic beats.

There is also a bonus track El Sueno Oscuro a beautifully evocative solo flamenco guitar track by Gavin Gordon.

HDR002 takes us straight to 90's house territory with four new edits from NYC's Marcos Cabral. The A-side opens with "Sym Phon", an anthemic filtered piano house jam that opens up wide and swallows all in it's path. A2 gives us "Better Think Again" with sticatto chords and twinkling keys in a Jersey-esque house sound. The B-side hits with "In The Sea", starting off with a giant slow tribal beat and then morphs into a psychedelically swirling synth workout. B2 wraps things up with "Get Get Get" turning our ears to old school Chicago house. Roland's TR-707 lays the percussion down while the chant of "Get in the groove" repeats into infinity.

Following the CD release earlier this year, the RIO Edits series is back, now based in Brazil the 9th instalment is a tribute to the late, great Ayrton Senna.

Well known vocals effected enough to be almost unrecognisable, heavy use on the reverb and delay. Killer bass line really makes this track, almost techno feel to this. Heavy and dark! Brilliant!

The long awaited ''Thracian EP'' by Bogdan Irkuk a.k.a. Bulgari is finally here. Already played by Idjut Boys in Tokyo and supported by heavy names such as Mark E and Toby Tobias to name a few. Bogdan asked to include this legendary quote by his hero Brahim Ivaylov, written on the back of the record sleeve.

After the highly acclaimed debut album 'We Can't Fly', Aeroplane now presents a mixcd including exclusive tracks by promising artists & friends.

After years, this vinyl-wielding 4-piece originating from Brighton — the one and only Soft Rocks — have finally committed their collective wit to a slew of original tunes. 'We Hunt Buffalo Now' is a punky dub monster serving as the first single in a series surrounding their = imminent debut album, 'The Curse of Soft Rocks'. In an age where any laptop-savvy poseur can upload their bland nu-disco or faux-Chi-house directly to the cesspool of digitally downloadable fodder, it is more than refreshing to hear this cheeky bunch blending a mixed bag of instrumentation and obscure influences so recklessly. Guest vocals are provided by San Francisco post-punk hero Jorge Socarras (vocalist of Indoor Life and songwriter for Patrick Cowley). In case that wasn't enough, flip her over for the genius remix by Andrew Weatherall, a bonafide glam stomper that slaps you across the face with a fuzzy bassline and greaseball guitar chords. Pure class.

After a handful of smashing remixes and compilation features on Nang Records, Lusty Zanzibar returns to the fold with a cracking solo effort named the 'The Feeling EP.'



Title track is a spaced out exercise in immersive square-wave programming, reminiscent of the pre-internet computer gaming age when colours were 8-bit and vivid, and soundtracks were hyper-colour opuses. The complex synth work is underpinned by a driving beat with ethereal vocal wisps and crystalline pads. Nice.



The first of three remixes for 'The Feeling' comes from Ilya Santana, with his 'Celestial Version,' and celestial it is indeed! A Picturesque scene is set, the rhythm is wound back and a super laid back vibe allows the vocal line 'remember how you're feeling' to sit more purposefully in the mix, alongside the tip-toeing bass line and often euphoric chords. Up next comes the Max Essa dub version, introducing some arp-synth subtleties; replacing the main vocal hook to great effect. To finish we have a mix from Fear of Theydon who brings a touch of arpeggiated femininity and tasteful woodblock percussion to the table. It's a fulfilling yet sultry up-beat journey.

Futureboogie Recordings score a hat trick with the welcome invasion of Waifs & Strays - one of the years' breakthrough acts and further proof that graduates of Bristol's assorted music scene are bringing the big tunes. Systematically tearing up dancefloors this summer with a pair of bona-fide bombs on Leftroom, ('Yeah Yeah' and 'Heartbreak') the Bristol duo further crystallize their flawless reputation with a double hitter of sexy, stomping house cuts on hometown label Futureboogie. Effectively coalescing the essence of old school, with a warm and distinctly fresh attitude, Waifs & Strays are the sound of now.



A-side 'Be Patient' has a typically chunky groove with a bass-heavy hook, crisp drums and a snaky b-line that winds underneath the highlighted keys and warbling old school sample. With a twist into acid frequencies, 'Be Patient' has that feel-good factor mixed in with a healthy dose of freakiness.



On the flip 'Feel' has all the attributes of a funky summer groover driven by an irresistibly sleazy guitar riff and lit up with steel-drumming tropical touches and bouncing hi-hats. The female vocals echo and tumble over the dirty, techy groove and the eventual drop at the mid-way point will shake the dancefloor to its steamy core.



Initially moving in different musical circles, Amos Nelson and Rich Beanland aka Waifs & Strays were destined to unite by the centrifugal force of house music within.
